If form follows function,
why does everything have too many bells and whistles?
Especially cell phone.

If everything is so simple a rocket scientist could do it,
why aren’t we all Werner von Braun’s?
Checkbooks are a mystery.

If the early bird gets the worm,
why are there birds out getting worms in the evening?
I get up early but I don’t eat worms.

If you are letting the cat out of the bag,
why are you telling the secret?
Why was the cat in the bag in the first place?

If curiosity killed the cat,
why aren’t more cats deceased?
I don’t like cats so_______.

If it is raining cats and dogs,
why don’t we have sturdier umbrellas?
Must get kind of messy when they hit the ground.

If we paint the town red to have a good time,
why are all towns pretty drab looking?
I only like red cars not buildings.

If someone is coming out of left field,
why don’t we just ignore them in the first place?
I played center field in little league.

If we can’t have our cake and eat it too,
why even bother having cake at all?
I just made an orange pound cake, so_______

Putin

Putin
They started it let the cat out of the bag
It's in a ferocious mood after being confined
Imagine how you'd feel kept in a tied-up sack
Now the feral cat wants revenge and gets it
Rampaging this way and that killing eating
Quenching its blood lust till spent
Not stopping till the job is done
And the cat is at peace
No longer prodded poked kicked
Ridiculed laughed at in a sack
She's free now and will remain so
Even if it means doing what she does
With claws and teeth and other things
Keep an eye out for her approaching
Only the cat knows whose next

Stirring Ingredients

God saw Flood's "Ingredients" snag
That let the cat out of the bag
The Devil cried, "Weed!"
The Angels agreed,
"Let's change his facemask to a gag!"

Premium Member We Set the Tiger Loose

We let the cat out of the bag, we set the tiger loose.
We can either run like hell or look for some excuse.
It's time to come together for the weak and for the small.
The future of our planet depends upon us all.

To the Love of My Life

Let me sharpen this pencil
I am about to pour out my heart
Let me compose myself
I am about to let the cat out of the bag
Sweet are these words that are never to be repeated

I might be a very difficult woman to love
But the love you will receive would be endless
I might be a very sexy woman in your eyes
But I got flaws that makes me who I am
I might be a strong woman in your eyes
But the softness of my voice tells it all
I might be a soldier of humanity
But it is just a mask of the love that's bottled inside
I might have a great body in your eyes
But it is just a vessel of my ancestors

Let me wipe these tears
My future has arrived
Let me lick my warm lips
I am about to kiss him
As I said before, never to be repeated

What Are Idioms

You might take this with a grain of salt
Knowing I heard it on the grape vine
Why they let the cat out of the bag
I'd say your guess is as good as mine

They say I tend to sit on the fence,
Off my rocker by not a far cry
That I'm not playing with a full deck
They should let those sleeping dogs lie!

Because there's method to my madness,
And I'm to blame if things go south
So I'm not beating around the bush
You heard it straight from the horses mouth!

Letting the Cat Out of the Bag

Being afraid for something you do not know
Is like honouring a promise that was never made
Being excited for someone else good fortune
Is like cheering, sitting on the bench

Start, stop and smell the roses
Introspection is not for the faint hearted
Moving on is a continuous , unbearable journey
Capitalisation is for the one

Being who you are
Is like licking an ice cream in winter
Being perspective
Is like undressing someone with the clothes on

How To Make God Laugh

Tell me all your plans this day

The dreams you hold inside

Are there no clouds upon your horizon

No storms to ruin your day

tell god all your wishes for the future

Talk about the good times that will be had

you plan out your retirement

for the sunset of your life

with sunny holidays on tropical isle’s

And the grandkids you will hold tight

Lots of money in your bank account

and a roof above your head

designer cloths and brand new motor cars

Is what you see a future that’s bright

But all the time god is laughing

As that’s not written in his plan

Will he spill the beans

and let the cat out of the bag

or just listen to your prayers and wishes

and then give out a massive belly laugh

The Virus

The lesser of two evils, do two wrongs make one right?
The bullets may have steel hulls, but it takes powder to ignite.

The elephant in the room, can't be seen.
It's a skeleton in the closet, for too long it has been.

So bite the bullet, let the cat out of the bag.
Kick the bucket, give the lake a drag.

From rags to riches, from pillar to post.
You left your duty, when it needed you most.

The lesser of two evils, do two wrongs make one right?
The bullets may have steel hulls, but it takes powder to ignite.

Fall on your sword, fall on your knees.
Accept the cure, you are the disease.

Wants To Float

Here it's even:
The cloud called at me,
Even he spoke to me:
He said 'Joshua,why're you worried'.
I was reluctant letting the
Cat out of the bag.
Then,he weighing my doubt
spelt by my betraying eyeballs
admonished me and bade me
to elate my glottis and seduce
his ear of the matter eating me up.

Then i lent him the truth,
With the intention that he'll give me fruit:
'I gat to leave my country,
Before the death of this month'. Said I.

He chuckled and whipped the dripping
water from his face.
I, drowned by the wits of
his uncalled actions forced
my gaze towards him straining
my ears to perceive his words.

'I'll be of help to you,
Only if you float in me',he continued.

Elated was i after those words:
That even he is willing to help.

But i've been jumping for hours
If i can only touch him.
Yet,the jealous earth wouldn't me.

Even yet,i'm still jumping:
Maybe i need a ladder:
Even a humanic ladder.

This Idioms Rhyme

At the drop of the hat
Let the cat out of the bag
Beat one's head against the wall
be at someones beck and call
Keeping one's eye on the ball
have a whale of a time
Blow someone's mind
With this idioms rhyme
Be on cloud nine
as you vale your tears
then Bend your ears
fear has no colors
At an arm's length
you have a tower of strength
leave one to ones fate
head over heels
feeling all you fee

It's Dawn

Moon left the sky and the sun is about to shine
There is mild wind from the north and sparrows are singing together
There are reminding us it's morning and we have to wake up
But I couldn't draw the curtains and let the world see you
If only I let the cat out of the bag, it would be too tough to get you back again
The whole world envy me coz I'm the first one who is touching you this way
My hands are wide open for the whole part of your body
And how harmonized it is when it get lost in my white skin
Then who dares to stop us?
The nature? Other creature? Or even our nurture?
None of them coz we are the one in the same texture.

How silly of you
to think you are silly!
Do you think folks just visit your page
willy-nilly?

Does one come for the show
and leave with all forgotten?
To think this is so
is really quite wanton.

It is too linger in the mouth,
to be savored through out the day.
Uncensored and full of life,
let the pieces fall where they may!

Could it be, Eileen,
that people don't just stop for the rhymes.
But maybe because
through your poems, they see a beautiful mind?

Could it be perchance,
they long for a dance,
through the avenues of a peculiar soul
that isn't copy-and-paste,
without frills and waste,
but in fact is part of the greater whole?

We see glimpses now and then
through your ink and through your pen.
But don't go on believing
that you've let the cat out of the bag, just yet.
(This is Eileen Ghali, after all ... lest we forget!)

Silent Talk

For months we have not
let the cat out of the bag
Eyes talk indirectly
Eyes read
Eyes right.
Have I told you that I go crazy sometimes?
