Premium MemberSpiritual Gem Inside Me

The spiritual gem inside me,
sometimes sounds like a huge buzzing bee.
This rumbling sound makes me want to flee,
flee to peace and not for glee.
I know when my soul needs to rest,
as I put it back into my chest.
This crazy world has it dressed,
now my soul needs to pass the test.
Even when we are both all stressed,
quietness and prayer will fill us with new zest.

Premium MemberThe new cicada trend

Awakening early mornings with an eerie sound,
as cicadas start calling, emerging from the ground.
These harmless insects shed their exoskeletons,
leaving evidence of cycle changes for every one.
In their once timely appearance you could have placed stock,
due to their biological alarm clock.
Now with global warming and the earth heating up,
cicadas are coming more frequently to mate and feed on newer stuff.
Changing their long held patterns, navigating cooler courses,
they are moving further north in search of better food choices.
Don't run off to an audiologist my friend, that buzzing
in your ears is just this new cicada trend.

Buzzing Bees

Buzzing bees that always pass by
You don't even understand why
You don't know them and they don't know you
They don't know what you're going through

You don't understand what's their problem
Honestly, you don't even mind them
You can't remember meeting them, even once
You may not even do if you had the chance

For haters, you do not like
They try to hamper your way to hike
They're like humps on you're tranquil way
That try to block the light of your day

The Fly

I sat and watched as it continually banged it's head into the window pane, that fly.

My cat sits on the cill and swipes out at the fly as it buzzes around his head,
But he missed and knocked over a china vase instead.
The fly seemed startled and goes round and round the light.

It's buzzing is driving me crazy, it's becoming such a bore,
So I open everything I can and the fly goes out of the door.

Wandering and Wondering

NONET TYPE OF POEM

WANDERING AND WONDERING
Wandering down a bright country lane
Viewing all the plants and lofty trees
I heard the birds sing refrain
To the buzzing insects
flying here and there
polinating
assigned task
well done

Premium MemberBuzzing Bustle of Activity

A colony nests inside my soul
where the nectar of pity was hoarded
For all you, the urge to soar is unabated
Hence, we may widen this horizon
Truth can form hallucinations
Still, can goals reflect reality?
maybe not?!

Enter inside the nest as a frogman
vulgarity rules the roost
you crave her gentle embrace
like breath, she sheaths
you are lured and compelled
follow up on requests at your peril

accepting you to the hive
our place is ideal for you
Improvement? or excellence?
however, we do not practice this here
wear your uniform and stay in line
shut off your mind and act as taught
you will be keen
soar solo if you must
we will sever your wings

early creative endeavors
I have gathered things for many years
yellow sunshine over grassy slopes
vividly sketched wildflowers
exactly as intended
the swarm of delight rarely stopped
by what lies outside the white picket gate
given the presence of shadows
the fence moved further away
until all my brightness occurred.

Premium MemberBuzzing and Boring

It was a beautiful summer day; I loved the sun on my back and neck. I was running down a field of flowers when I got a sharp pain in my left foot. I could hear the bumblebee before I saw him. He was fat and angry as he bored a large red stinging hole in my foot as I watched. Worse day ever.

flowers love the bee
my bare foot not so much
buzzing and boring

A Buzzing Bee

I saw a busy bumblebee,
Grazing on the dew,
It buzzed from flower to flower
Of red white and blue.

Collecting golden nectar
from the stem of every bud,
which one day would be honey,
at least I think it should.

The Sky was an azure blue,
Below the fields were green,
The clouds were white as snow,
Reflected in a nearby stream,

It was peaceful,
And yet the woods all around
Was noisy and calming,
With nature's wonderful sound.

I walked down a track,
Back to the car,
Someone had  left the gates all ajar,
Very naughty I thought to myself.

There were sheep,
And a farmer mad as a judge,
Because all of his sheep,
just would not budge.

It did not take him long to rally,
And the head count,
Also seemed to tally,
The baby lambs were bleating,
I used a nearby rock for seating.

What a wonderful life
we have in nature,
Next time I think,
 I'll take the wife,
This place could do
with a little strife.

Listen To the Buzzing Bees

I hear you mumble as the bees buzz around the garden
Slurping sweet nectar
The rosebud’s abundant fragrance
Hangs thick in the moist sticky air
The scent wriggles its way into my nose
The effect surprises a giggle from my throat
You pause and I realize the conversation
Must be too serious for such a flippant reply
I attempt to hush my inner musings
But giggles can be tenacious
Particularly when being suppressed
Causing the giggles to become a roar
You stare at me thinking
I’ve finally flown over the cuckoo’s nest
Which turns my laughter into unrefined snorts
I slowly waft back to earth
Joyful tears slipping down my cheek
The silence hovering in the space
Between us
Please, I quietly beg, see me
The conversation resumes as I concentrate on the buzzing bees
