Good grief, one soldier told another
Our foe’s no different than our brothers

Oh, yes he is, the other retorted
The cause he fights for is distorted

I beg to differ, countered soldier the first
Our side’s lack of morals is the worst

Them's fightin' words, the other soldier replied
Said the first, I'll take you down, I’ve got my pride...

When it was over, they both lay dead
Their foe, their brother, victorious instead

Brother Keven
It is cool having a brother who could pass for a famous Hollywood actor. He never did take his good looks to Hollywood and I'm sure his wife is glad of it.
Keven is fun to hang out with, his smile and laugh say as much, just ask his son.
Keven is notorious for telling a good story and many a night he'd regale his friends with a few.
Keven will take on a good challenge and careful you bet against him.
Keven is the man to lend a hand when something needs a fixing.
Keven is the friend you want by your side when you're down.
Keven is the kindest and most sensitive guy you'd ever want to know and you can tell him from me I told you so.

Brotherly Love

Who else?
Who else would care for you my brother, if not out of love we care for each other.
Who else would it be?
An old friend?
Or someone I fail to see.
Is it someone who knocked on your door?
Or is it an x lover that you once knew before?

Do you remember how we grew up together?
Do you remember the love we shared with each other?
I remember your cries, your worries, your sadness and sleepless nights.
But I also remember the fun, the great parties that ended before we were done.

I remember your courage in moments of truth.
I remember your endless support, when even close friends failed to escort.
Is it our brotherly bond that binds us forever?
Or is it just family ties?

Saleh Ben Saleh

Brotherly Love

Biden went to the Middle East
For a cous-cous sheep-eyeball feast
Relations were strained
Raisi explained,
"That Red button summons a priest"

Thank God I Have a Brother

Thank God I have a Brother!
He fixes up the truck,
I sometimes give him money,
Whenever he gets stuck.

(Not just for up and fixin’
The truck – not what I mean
‘f I tried, he wouldn’t take it)
It’s just that times ‘re lean.

His poor bald head works harder,
Than any I have known!
For he rides an old lawnmower,
And not a horse or throne!

He goes and helps the neighbors,
He will not take a cent,
(‘Course, he could make a killing,
That’s just not how he’s bent!)

Thank God I have a Brother,
Whose Kindness lifted me,
When I was drenched in sorrow,
And couldn’t hardly see.

He gripped me through the funeral,
Around the shoulders, hard,
And now, he’s lost his stepdad,
Who helped him in the yard,

Who told him ‘Mighty Fine’, and
Who loved, and sat a spell,
And stayed in the garage shop,
And cared that he was well.

So, now, he has a Brother,
Who’ll stand up, when he’s stuck,
And hold him by the shoulder,
And help him fix the truck.

Brotherly Love

I have this Brother, you may or may not
know,
Who holds onto disappointment & hurt
and refuses to let go,
What he doesn't seem to understand, is
not everyone thinks like his mind,
And to be different is wonderful for we're all
one of a kind,
I'm not here to sell my actions or my point
of view,
But I do expect people to be respectful, themselves, honest and true,
Indifference is what makes the world go
round,
Accepting different cultures and opinions,
let's us all stand on solid ground,
I don't need to shout out the good or bad that
has passes my way,
I just need to make things better for myself each passing day,
So I say for all the whole world to know
Life is to be expected to have its highs and lows!

Goodbye Brotherly Love

Life is a must
But who can you trust
Before we turn back
Dust into dust

These days being more
Than wish upon a star
In this nightmarish scene
We've become who we are

I used to laugh at the circumstance
Now wonder what's up with that
Packed its bags then up and left
Making brotherly love a thing of the past

When arguments
Are no more than screaming fits
Which makes it hard
To try and convince

This is not just a slice
Of American pie
This tasteless desert
Is served up world wide

I used to laugh at the circumstance
Now wonder what's up with that
Packed its bags then up and left
Making brotherly love a thing of the past

Seems there are only two sides
One on the left, one on the right
Where the ground in the middle
Is used for the fight

We're quickly to choose
Without a moment to think
Where all that we do
Is stand there and scream

I used to laugh at the circumstance
Now wonder what's up with that
Packed its bags then up and left
Making brotherly love a thing of the past

Where Is the Brotherly Love

Bombs are falling.
Death is calling.
Where is the brotherly love?

Why do you maim and kill?
Have you had your fill?
Where is your brotherly love?

Where is the mercy of man
for the children of the land?
Where is his brotherly love?

Take the oil and take the soil.
Do their bidding.
Where is their brotherly love?

You’re so tough.
Haven’t you had enough?
Where is your brotherly love?

Brotherly Love

Roses are red Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet and so are you.
Your intelligent wording is unique
I write with you as your Psyduck
I'm a nerd with perfect words and so are you.
your nerdy book awaits to be written by muah and only muah
Make life less complicated for me
I promise you I'll always love you
Your company is adoring
Hear me blabber about my frusterations.
I promise you I'll do the same.
I'll always cherish every moment I spent with you.
Correct my grammar if Im a silly duck
Be my spell checker, correct my writing style if I mess up, Be my dictionary full with words and let me know what it means, and be my guidence when I lose my writing train of thought. Keep me focus, inspire me.
Make life less complicated for me and I shall do the same.
Hold my hand so I dont fall.
Stay with me all my life.

Brotherly Love

It's hard to imagine
There was ever a time
When we were strangers

Friends?
Not for two spirits who share
The affinity, admiration and respect
That we share

Brotherhood!
That's what defines us
Whether it's giving love through tough times
Or giving tough love

A shoulder to lean on
Or shouldering the weight
When the load is too heavy to carry alone

Do we always see eye to eye?
No.

Do we suffer permanent warm and fuzzies?
Nope.

Do we wish each other long life, health and prosperity?
Yep.

Would we do whatever we could
To help each other live long and prosper?

Absolutely.

I appreciate your love, brother...
I love you back.

Operation Brotherly Love

Another tragedy arrived today,
loved ones and homes swept away.
We ask why but get no answer,
a given panic like the Signature of Cancer.
All is at peace then here it is,
finding that Mother Nature lives.
Then comes the calm after the storm,
so much gone, so many lives torn.
Tragic moments never do cease,
perhaps it is for love to increase.
Shamefully it takes such tragedies,
to bring together friends and families.
Remember the hurt on those faces,
know and show that love embraces.
Now it is time once again,
to seek out and help a fellow American.
Say your prayers to God above,
thank Him for, "Operation Brotherly Love!"

Brotherly Love Part 2 To Cuchalainn's Crossing

BROTHERLY LOVE

                                     Brother--
                                     Blooded by my
                                     Jealous rage --gone dead wrong
                                     Betrayal won—Killed my mind and
                                     Brother....

This is PART TWO
PART ONE: Cuchalainn's Crossing

Victoria Anderson-Throop

Based on the unbearably sad Celtic story of Cuchaliann and his foster brother and best friend Ferdiad. Tricked by a woman, to fight each other to the death, Cuchalainn killed his brother--then carried him--cradled in his arms-- miles home. (see photo in Wiki)

Brotherly Love--Cuchulainn's Crossing of the River

CUCHULAINN'S CROSSING OF THE RIVER (see BROTHERLY LOVE part 2)

When warriors chant the songs of war
And toast the friends here and beyond
They hide the pain and dread that stalks--
And guilt that haunts evade those songs

Like Cuchulainn the mighty Celt
Who struts through myth in mighty pride
Ev'n this great hero bore great grief
When-- by his hand --his brother died

Songs forget this, stories glance
Upon the Fate of brother ‘s death--
But painters capture hopeless eyes
As mighty arms held fleeting breath

He tender- gathered brother then
And babelike carried him across a stream
And holding him --- all glory
Fled --as bloody truth belied his dreams

(based on painting….” Cuchaulainn Carries Ferdiad across the River” Wikipedia)
