Beauty with Poise

You're beautiful like no other,
Your smile can melt the hardest stone,
You were raised well by your mother,
Good home training you've always shown.

Many stars shine in night's vast sky,
But none as bright as the dog star,
With wisdom no one can decry,
With joy no foe can ever mar.

Joy not only shines on your face,
It lights a beacon in my heart –
Your beauty blooms with pomp and grace,
The love you bring forth from the start.

You're a beauty with great wisdom,
A genius blessed with brain and poise,
Love and grace flow in your system,
With candor yet making no noise.

Well-blessed is the day you were birthed,
Your uniqueness that day unearthed,
The sun ever since shines brighter,
And darkness descends much lighter.

Your gentle breezes clear the skies,
Cries of hatred your love dries,
Had two more like you graced the world,
Peace everywhere would be unfurled.

Go summer, come autumn

Days too long for the sun to bite still hard,
All trees bring forth leaves that are mostly green,
Different hues are what summer fails to preen,
With grace, yet with force, summer's hands bombard.

Rain may catch even the prepared off guard,
Its runoff sweeps paved roads fresh, clear and clean,
Its grains and pebbles make the oceans glean,
Yet it lets wild weeds grow in each farmyard.

Longer night, fall, I beg of you to bring,
With coolness that summer deprived me of,
So on my bed I can sleep like a king,
And turn it into a playground for love,
Where our love and our affection can sing,
As we playfully embrace, push, and shove.

Premium Member Chicks and Ducks in Splashing Spree

Bursting, breaking free from egg shells with glee
Baby chicks welcome their blest endowed worth
Amidst mother Earth’s radiating mirth
Ready to frolic in the pond --- there they flee.

Cheerful in their sunny color delight
Ducklings quack, inviting attention gain
While they wobble gladly, devoid of strain
Traversing terrain midst their dancing flight.

As water fowls of playful swimming zest
Ducks and chicks showcase aquatic tactic
Boasting splash-technique, indeed fantastic
Designed by God* with His creative best.

*Genesis 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

Giving Up Their Motherhood

If mothers didn't bear children,
laughter would turn into monotony:
can we imagine mankind's misery?
No infant would cry when they are hungry,
no noisy kids screaming and having fun!

Wouldn't God be mad at us,
calling us evil, selfish beings?
Wouldn't empty cribs not be rocked
while a sweet lullaby is not whispered?

A mother's duty is to bear healthy children,
God gave his blessing to devoted couples being
faithful to each other to bring forth their offspring:
how often does an unmarried mother sing?

The woman's role can be misunderstood,
many choose the single life, choosing freedom
from responsibility to pursue their dream:
have they regretted giving up their motherhood?

May 3: Separation Day

Separation Day:

From Ashes to Unity

Upon this day, the third day of May, hills recall their pain,

When flames and fury swept across the land,

Yet through the smoke, our prayers did remain -

A hope for peace that violence could not brand.

The morning’s grief, the silence of the fields,

The shattered homes, the sanctuaries burned,

Yet from the ashes, unity now yields

A strength the foe had never truly learned.

O Zohnathlâk, tribals of the hills,

Stand firm, though chaos seeks to break your will;

Let not the taunts nor flags bring forth chills,

For unity is armor, calm and still.

May God, who saw our sorrow and our scars,

Guide us to freedom, healing from these wars.

Premium Member One Very Bitter Pill

The pains of those ailments that grab us at will
Once better, like stalkers, can linger on still
But it’s patently true that life’s bitterest pill
Is the pain when it’s someone you love that is ill

When struck down, bedridden, we try to be brave
Though we feel our survival might be a close shave
But we’d gladly accept our God’s beckoning wave
If that keeps our loved one away from their grave

                                     *

And so when I hear that slight tremor of fear
No hug and no words for the one I hold dear
Can bring forth a smile full of genuine cheer
And that forehead kiss… conceals my own tear

At night, to the God in whom I don’t believe
I sheepishly say, “I don’t want her to leave.”
I snuggle up close, I’m not ready to grieve
And I smile in the morning as I hear her breathe

The doctors I’ve trusted I must trust in still
For they’ll mend her again; I’m sure that they will
But it’s patently true that life’s bitterest pill
Is the pain when it’s someone you love that is ill

Karma

Karma

K Kindness of the heart within everything you do
A Always having gratitude that shows through
R Remember to give thanks for all you possess
M Mindfulness of those that need a helping hand
A An example of who you and where you stand

Karma has a way of eventually settling the score
Karma can effect you deeply within your inner core
Karma does not discriminate from woman or man
Karma will reek havoc on all of your well laid plan

We never know when karma seeks it’s target
We never know when karma will ever forget
We never know what karma will bring forth
We never know what karma comes henceforth

When we see how karma bestows justice in time
When we feel this poetic truth seems so sublime
When we sometimes feel that karma goes too far
When we understand karma can leave such a scar

If you wish karma upon someone you know
If you want karma to avenge and bestow
If you hope karma will set things straight
If when you are setting a bad karma trait

Cosmic Trials

The Universe presents its toughest tests
To its strongest warriors, who stand the best
Not for the faint of heart, but for those who can face
The fiercest battles, with a steadfast grace

For it knows their strength, their courage true
Their ability to rise, after falling anew
It pushes their limits, their will, their soul's might
To refine their spirit, and bring forth its light

Through trials and tribulations, they find their way
Through the fire and the storm, they emerge anew each day
Their scars, a testament to their inner might
A badge of honor, for fighting through the night

The Universe puts its toughest battles, on its strongest soldiers still
For it knows they'll rise, and its cosmic plan they'll fulfill.

Believe

You are the power, you are the glory.
You are the one who is writing your story.

You are the magic, its you alone.
You are the person sitting on your throne.

You are the light, you are the way.
You are the one who is going to save the day.

Bring forth your light from deep inside.
Let that beacon be your guide.

Whatever it is that you want to achieve.
Its waiting for you if you only believe.

MY I AM

I wrote me a book
I wrote it all down
Every single word
That dressed me a clown

I charted me a map
I charted statements of fear
Every single action committed
Leading to the -X-, right here

~MY HEART~

Boom...BOOM, BOOM
I can hear the native drum, beat
Every sound, sending away
Creative energy running to defeat

.............Shr...ink...ing.....back

You can not be, they said
You are certainly not that
No one will even consider
YOU...on a PLAT...form

Saying a WORD of meaning
Such ideas are too high
For those as lowly as you
Give them to me
And I will take them for a ride
Doing more than others could do

....oh, I will mention your name

Today, my little thieves
It is time for you to retreat
Into caves and graves
I know WHO I AM
And my gift is free
With responsibility
To bring forth the gift LOVE gave

I will SPEAK TRUTH

Rise to Greatess

Bloom into your light and let it blaze on forever.
Bring forth your best to the table, and give your best endeavor.
It's time to transcend your doubts, fears, and your shadow.
Release past beliefs and awaken that sleeping creative energy, and permit your consciousness to channel, flow, and follow.

Transform your life into something truly spectacular.
Ascend to that point was equal to the creators' vernacular.
Rise to the occasion when your skills are required.
Be the one whose words have the basis to motivate and inspire.

Always walk facing the sun as shadows will only follow.
Be the one whose words are filled with passion as Apollo.
As a delicate lotus, let your words be sweet as lilac.
For the vibrations you send out, they shall return, in greater proportions, they shall come back.?

PASSIONS OF THE PINK POUI

Harsh is the time of your birth
The bleaching sun, taking away all beauty of the earthly jade.
But out of this parched season,
You bring forth the passions of your ever living substance.

Whispers of the cool, dry winds
Wave your exquisiteness for all to see.
Canvasing the floor of the soft earth,
Beneath each towering tree.

The stately soft petal
Of your comeliness fall ever gracefully.
Like the rains, that you seemingly beckon
To come and drench the thirsting earth.

Your cries for the heavens
To bless the earth is without sound,
But great things occur in silence,
Just as the warm sun rises.

The God of the heavens
The great creator set you as a sign.
A herald of great tidings,
For the rain draweth nigh.

Not once, nor twice but as many as three times
Your passion is echoed.
Filling the land with hope,
That soon the watering of the earth will appear.

But alas, you are no more as the heavenly windows open,
And as the thirsty land drinks her fill,
Your passionate silent calls are needed no more.
We bid thee farewell till next mother nature calls.
