Woodland to saunter
Braced up across hilltops,
Tendrils of leaves curl like locks
Fresh the mist sprinkling my face.
An airspray of radiant mist
Flows on her grasses evergreen
Till birdland stirs and whistles..
Joy in her field's embrace.
Velvet lays on ground
My dream-like eyes twinkle,
While blooms come dancing
A raucous merry-go-around;
The light tap on the skin,
Curious heart so ravenous
Through every magical whim.
Somewhere to surrender,
Melting down my cheeks
Upon the forest floor
The nature of my inner beast
Drips from thrill of wonder
From rare absence of reason,
A moment where innocence drifts
In wilderness ' arms blessing seasons,
The childlike creature in me
Soars into ladders of bliss!

Despite the life I nearly slain
Restore my heart in twain
And ere I wage my cold campaign
No burden shall remain
Release what’s kept within the chest
Endure the silent night
Broken, the edges seek their rest
Change comes without a fight
An old resolve is gathering pace
Resigned to what is true
Braced for the dawn I cannot face
Under an altered view
Nothing demands a final word
Gone are the reasons why
Carried by winds I barely heard
Only to let them die

On Friday nights we’d sneak into
the railyard and wait
in the shadows
between the floodlights for a train
slow enough for us to hop,
our hands already tingling
with the promise of flight.
We trotted beside the train,
waiting for the right moment
to grab a boxcar’s ladder
and climb to the roof like outlaws—
aware of the danger
and thrilled by it—
as the train gathered speed.
We jumped as it rounded the curve—
boots hitting gravel, hearts pounding—
but a voice barked out of the dark,
and then a dog, all teeth and fury,
came tearing toward us.
We bolted for the fence
without looking back.
We hit the chain-link fence at speed,
scrambled like fugitives—
I braced for asthma to take me
but my lungs opened wide,
no tightness, no fire, just breath
pure and clean, lifting me over
like I was born to run.
I landed laughing—
heart hammering, lungs still free—
and something in me shifted.
I had outrun fear, leapt past
the story that said I couldn’t—
and for the first time,
I believed it.

“The silence fades with a soft embrace”
in the undulating landscape with swerving life stream.
The concert of murmur cascades with mesmeric melody
in the rapture ripples of the whispering breeze,
the sound of music flies past me, braced by spell of silence.
My aloneness walks me in the desolate wasteland
with my serrated shadow trailing your fading footprints
through the quietude of the sequined moonbeam,
until you see me as a spellbound quintessence,
configured in the silhouetted contours of silence.
Touched by faint flow of silence your face glows vibrant,
the radiant beauty flows with charming trance
through my enthralled still senses.
My gleaming heart dances to the tune of music,
as you make the serenading silence within me so unique.
As the rising sun tints your charismatic calmness
with the patina of hued tide in the sea of tranquility,
I swim blissfully in its amorous waters
with my dreams dancing in the rhythm of aureate yearning
in the shimmering shore of swathing golden silence.

Graced to Serve
Graced by Your light, I rise to humbly praise,
Placed in Your care, my heart begins to sing,
Faced with Your love, my soul forever stays,
Embraced by grace, new strength You daily bring.
Chased from despair, Your mercy lights my way,
Based on Your truth, my path is clear and bright,
Faced with Your call, I gladly choose to stay,
Paced by Your will, I walk in holy light.
Braced for trials, Your peace remains my shield,
Laced with Your hope, my spirit soars above,
Faced with Your joy, no fear can make me yield,
Traced by Your hand, I serve with boundless love.
Placed in Your service, thankful I remain,
Chased by Your grace, I praise Your holy name.

I placed my sword down in the snow
outside the dragon's lair
and breathed in deep the sulfur smell
that hung in the clean crisp air.
and lo' my heart was heavy
weighted down by my fear and despair
I thought of the king's only daughter
whose beauty was both fragile and fair
The reward was both silver and knighthood
to the subject who braced dragon's den
we started out sixteen and twenty
now our swords numbered fewer than ten
and as the snow fell I called to the others
but found I was now on my own
so i placed deep my sword in a snowbank
then with dagger in hand moved alone
the dragon blew patches of fire
but I leapt fast the fiery blaze
to scale fast the neck of the bellowing beast
and drive in the point of my blade
now when snow falls my queen always
chides me; " be still with that old dragon's tale,
don't you listen to a word that he tells you. It
seems he's had too much ale."

Arrogance does reign
hoisting human nature’s gain ---
notwithstanding, we are led toward downfall pain.
Beyond towering pride
that offers us jubilant ride---
nevertheless, there awaits fatal stride.
Admitting weakness blight
we seek God’s help for righteous plight---
now, we walk along divine light.
Freed from selfishness-guile
we are braced to walk along kindness’ mile---
negating heart that projects fake smile.
Exuding confident meekness so vibrant
our spirits glow, graciously radiant
nestled in sincere faith*, serenely triumphant.
*Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

December 8 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Ephesians 1-3
Key Verse – Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.
PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR HIS SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS
Praise be to God for His spiritual blessings with:
Grand plan of His work
Good pleasure in His will
Great power along His way
Glorious praises during worship
Gracious provisions in His worth
Guiding prudence midst His wisdom
Governing providence by His watchfulness
Ephesians 2:10 Praise be to the Lord
for perfecting us as His workmanship:
Created for Christ-like character
Converted by His compassionate care
Cleansed toward consecration’s commitment
Charged for His calling so clearly communicated
Challenged to be courageous by His counsel and comfort
Ephesians 3:1 Praise be to the Saviour for
allowing us to be His prisoners:
Bound by His salvation
Burdened by His service
Brought to His sanctuary
Blessed with His satisfaction
Braced upon His steadfastness
Bestowed along His sustenance. Amen!

Bountifully blest,
Body and soul thank God blissfully
Braced upon today’s breath
Blooming with beauty
Built-up to share benefits
Bereft of boastfulness.

Mother said, “Avoid the bilge,”
Keep your dreams clear, don’t let them delve.
No depth in anger, nor strife,
“Steer clear of paths where woes are felt.”
Do not let your heart be like a delft,
Cold and rigid, set by a protective shelf.
Live close to the warmth, shun the frosty guise,
Let no icy barriers govern your heart’s ties.
Happiness isn’t found in mere eighths,
It blooms in each breath, in small and grand states.
Life’s not a problem to be conquered or braced,
But warmth in moments cherished, unspoiled, and embraced.
When the world feels coated in a sticky glaze,
Remember, love’s the beacon to guide you through the haze.
Mother said, “In all your face, stay near warmth's embrace,
Value love and moments, not the race.”
In the warmth of a hearth, not the delft,
Dreams unfold, and joy is felt.
Mother said, “In all things you see,
Stay true to warmth, and let it be.”

The Drove
One thousand horses came galloping towards him
there was no escape. He braced himself
but as they came near parted, like he was an island
in a river
The last horse, Truls, stopped long enough for him
him to mount and follow the drove, thar ran towards
the horizon and beyond, where they disappeared
like deleted words
Truls didn't have wings but followed him back to
where the grass was green, a place with a small river
trees, there was peace in the world

My window blinds are very old
And all should be replaced.
I don’t like change but finally
Gave in, so I was braced
For brand-new working ones
That could go up and down, as well
As shut to block the sun.
(My old ones didn’t – can’t you tell?)
The windows had been measured,
Orders made and soon arrived.
Today installers came, but of
New blinds I’ve been deprived.
Seems the measurements were off
And so the new ones wouldn’t fit.
My old ones still can do the job
And I’m just fine with it.

A cabin sees a creature cool from night of crawl and hunt in all
of gravely stone and street in tone of light diffused by wane of moon
a toothless gum with tutting tongue clicks her way like bats among
the trees with hair of oaken leaves that perk each morn’ upon the sun
but she with book to under-arm, her book of chanting, her grimoire
be carried lo and carried far and braced for spell when suiting her
this creature crone of caustic mouth who oft’ alone with cackled laugh
does shriek and scorn a charm or more,
did witch, the spell
did witch, she cast
