The Book of Beelzebub

Forever, I lurk within shadowy wings
Betraying my friends for the silver it brings
Once I was the shepherd, 'n' leading the flock
Now I am the warden, 'n' guarding the lock.

Those who besmirch me, a'drown in the flood
The sweat from your nightmares, sustaining my blood
I, the creator of thousand-year rains
And I am the master of all that

Within The Walls of Blasphemy

I abhor what I believe in
Yet, I adore it at the same time
What does this mean?

The lack of good conduct?
A mind of selfish ambition?
Maybe a crisis in identity?

My hubris intentions are in conflict 
In conflict with a powerful being
I'm powerless but not forgotten

Broken heart black with grief casting shadows
Teal tears grabbing wrinkled cheek as if life lines save souls

Trading reality for reassurance;
