Blackened Poems

Premium MemberVerbal Abuse

Boneless tongue
Breaking heart
Like a drum
Beating starts
Curses curled
Painting pain
Verses hurled
All in vain
Name calling
Verbs abused
Heart falling
Words used
Start with N
End with grin
Worse shaming
To offend
Soul of gold
Blackened skin
Be so bold
To defend
Words absurd
Can’t break in
God’s true herd
Despite sin

Last winter, I dipped my ink-blackened pen into the elixir of your playful sonnets,
Allowing your soothing voice to become the master of intoxicating brews,
Reviving a vibrant infatuation, a nocturnal carnival of desires,
Drunk on the symphonies you orchestrated under the laughing sky,
As the burning thirst infuses exciting verses into my fiery veins,
And I, captivated, let myself

Blackened leather

Thundering roar turns into scream
as it simply can give no more
push it on a little more
as every bit of thrill obtained

in release it drops off
	as the scream quickly fades
and the pounding of the blood
	to contemplate thought gives way

leather blacken by hard use
	through many years once again
quickly moves to the task
	presses quickly with eagerness

reset now once

Premium MemberBlackened Heart

Through charcoal outer
Light breaks through
The after-fire
All flesh renew

Still tender as
Not toughened yet
But fresh to view
With no regret

Complex review
As furnace white
Has tempered hopes
Of burnished bright

But love remains
No smoke or stains
A rich encounter
Not sorrow chains.

Blackened Skies

oh nostalgic torment
How I miss it
you hated me didn't you
But your hate did nothing to me
It meant nothing to me
Then you tried to love me
But it was
Way too late
Maybe I once cared
About the bond we shared
Maybe I once craved
Your presence
But all I can see
Is nothing but your pretence
Your fake lives
Hidden under the influence of alcohol
Swept

Blackened Soul

I've seen a man
Who lied in bed
His soul was deepest black

I've seen a girl
He wanted dead
She never did come back

Maybe she did die away
Like the man, to a heart attack

Maybe she’s alive today
Like the man, still lifts her back

I’ve seen a man
Who died in bed
His soul was not of black

His soul was white
For he had

Through the Flames of Her Blackened Heart--

A cobwebbed threshold
of her festering wound.
The foul rush of shadow and abandonment
spoiled just beyond recognition.

Embers of a chaotic ritual
and venom searing vehemently
through the flames of her blackened heart
becoming death’s latest rendezvous.

Darkness has a tight grip on her
even light refuses to set her free.
Her kissed curses were sinfully forgotten
though her lost heart

Blackened

Soul stitching,
Where does the needle go?
Heart mending,
Where does the solder flow?

Piece by piece,
The picture is complete,
Line by line,
The book is written.

Step by step,
A mile is complete,
Brush strokes and smudges,
The painting is done.

Nature has a voice,
Nature speaks,
There’s a clarion call,
We’re too troubled to hear.

There’s a message,
Dawn harbingers it,
There’s a cry,
Twilight amplifies it.

An ailing mother,
Abandoned by her

Across Figurative and Literal Blackened White Board

Across figurative and literal blackened white board...

Where death of democracy writ large,
nevertheless psychological strength predominates
unlike earlier chapters of mein kampf.

Mine hardscrabble existential debacle
spelled losing game
swept me up in malevolent mindset
far adrift from harbored haven;
I floundered like a fish out of water
entangled within woebegone raid.

No matter figurative bar
to challenge yours truly
chiefly afflicted

Blackened I

Wings,
springs and metallic Strings
flesh and bone;
Nails...
In stone.
Sliver shone;
On Blackened Sand death has ran…
Skulls and auto things; blood and sweat...
Blue tears flown
across a desert of Red;
Alone.
Death had ran
under a dark sun
with wings made
of Sting and Metallic Springs!

Blackened Ii

blacken bones
ghostly galleons roam
sail endless seas dark
deep the night washes
over each soul
that ride waves deep
drive the secret engines
of the damned cross
hidden highways
of immortality
black and bones
broken stones
branches dance
in a child’s pure
sleep like lost cries
drift from a distant dream
all blacken bones
shown like deities

Blackened Sails

How often do these tiny blooms
Of sorrow fill my soul?
In songs of fire lit long ago
Left burning by the snow.

How often do these solemn dreams
Speak of my troubled soul?
And sink my heart ten depths apart
From blackened tainted ores.

How often does my ship set sail
To silent, placid shores?
But sing to me of sirens' song
To pull

Journey Through Time's Long Blackened Maze

Avoiding many pitfalls, I walked a narrow ledge
a tramp searching for treasures that would heal
empty soul since death had stolen so much
had cast sorrows as ocean waves of grief
as solemn shores of jagged glass
bare feet commanded to walk in midnight pains

Avoiding love as its
