Premium MemberMore Than Flowers On Your Birthday

This year, my darling love, you’ll receive more than flowers
Jewelry, candy, candles, gifts, kisses and chocolate bars
You will also get your AARP letter and your Medicare card
It’s vital that you take good care of yourself going forward.

Since you’re now sixty-five years old, you should feel blessed
Lucky, privileged and chosen. Please, please never get depressed
Age is always a good number, as long as you’re very healthy
And funny. The Almighty God is now watching over you regularly.

Eat well, drink more water, take your medications and vitamins daily
You’re now a senior, that’s a major step forward and a serious promotion
Since you’re retired, take a walk once a while. And that’s not being lazy.

You’ve worked all your life and have earned fair and square your pension
Your grandchildren and family will come to visit and spend time with you
I wish you a Landmark Birthday. Dear love, a blissful life is awaiting you.

P.S. This poem is dedicated to the sweet friend of my heart and soul.

Premium MemberAn Invisible Rose for Your Birthday

Yesterday was your birthday
Unfortunately, that was a busy day
However, I went to the garden
Of my heart this beautiful morning
Where I picked an invisible rose that could bring:
Happiness, joy, good humor and an early spring.

I shaved my beard and mustache to make your day
With all my heart, I wish you a happy birthday
Oh! I would like to charm you until nightfall
When the rainbow is no more in the fall
Toward another horizon, for another season
Please accept this rose, this poem, this song.

P.S. This poem is dedicated to my good friend.

Premium MemberTilt

The machine lit up
like a small cathedral—
chrome saints hopping
under glass,
the silver gospel
of the pinball
spinning wild
between my hands.

It was my birthday—
twenty-one—
and free beers
rang up like prayers.
Each flipper slap
a hallelujah,
each tilt shrugged off
in neon glare.

The hours blew away
like cheap confetti.
The undulating sidewalk
tilted just before I did,
and the keyhole
danced just out of reach
while my cat waited,
unimpressed.

I woke up hours later
to my worried cat
meowing and
looking up at me.
I leaned in close
to reassure him—
and showered his head
with vomit, dismayed.

He left his verdict
in my shoes—
a damp reminder,
sharp and clear.
Tail high,
he walked away avenged,
his conscience
undisturbed by guilt.

He eventually
forgave me—
as creatures wiser
than us often do.
I cleaned my shoes,
drank far less beer,
and never puked on
my cat again.

Premium MemberJill and Bill

Jill and Bill went up the hill
for a little mid-day thrill.
	Nine months to the day,
	you pay if you play.
Jill had not been on the pill!!

Premium MemberThirty-three B

Thirty-three, what a wonderful age to be,
Not only is it alliterative, but,
Funny; geometrically.
Putting this frivolity aside.
You are a wise sage, a visionary,
A much-appreciated inspiration to human awareness,
Leaving your mother and me,
In awe of your amazing accomplishments.

Premium MemberWanting What Was, Having What Am

Yesterday, I was 61. I was young and spry, :).

But today, I am 62. I am old and slow, :(.

Wanting for what I was, :(. But having what I am, :).

I love you, I love you not
Just let me take all you got
 Just a money bot
Everyone is out to take
Bad decisions are easy to make
Choose your words wise
Love in disguise
Make a call
Take a fall
No one is real
What's the deal
Just send me this money card
I'll hit your wallet hard
Special deal
I'm not even real
Taking you for a ride
Hurt your pride
Everyone trying
Don't care if your crying
Dying
Wanting all you got and a little more
Invite you in just to kick you out that door
I'm pretty
So witty
What's your income
Send me some
Take your money
But leaves you with no honey
Not so funny
No one is what they are
Who just stole my car
Now that's going to leave a scar.

Premium MemberThe Eddie Poem - To My Nephew, Eddie

Eddie McGuire made us all groan,
Eddie the eighth (VIII) abdicated the throne.
Eddie "The Eagle" flew through the sky,
Eddie Van Halen made his guitar cry.
Eddies Murphy and Izzard made us all laugh,
Eddie "The Beast" tore a phone book in half.
Eddie "The Head" was a head banger,
Eddie Sheeran has a head like a ranga!
Eddie Mabo toiled for land rights,
Eddie Alvarez got into fights.
So Eddie be proud of your name evermore,
As it's shared with the greats who are mentioned afore.
But be your own Eddie and tread your own path.
Stay humble, grow wise and keep making us laugh!

Premium MemberHappy Birthday, Sister Mine

Everything your heart desires,
All that for you life requires,
Can be boiled down to one thing,
That in this gift resides.

Want you not the treasured things,
That others crave - like diamond rings,
And cars and riches and the rest,
But in this gift abides....

A luscious hoard of dazzling hue;
Blinding, lavish and for you...
The symbol of your deepest thirst,
Which this gift satisfies.

No more will your heart palpitate,
Nor will you capitulate;
To trivialities of life,
That this gift overrides.

So go forth quenched and full to brim,
No longer are you the victim.
Of unrequited longing for,
That which this gift provides.

In this your palindromic year,
Despite how rancid you appear.
With finger raised and scowl affront.
We gift this gift besides.

A sweet bunny is having a birth ... day,
happy, happy, happy birthday we say!
And we sing a song ... la, la, la, la, la,
you clap and smile ... la, la, la, la, la, la!

Take my hand and we will spin round and round,
your laugher is like a bell ringing sound!
Careful bunny that you don't tumble down,
I think you need a pretty princess crown!

A little bird told me that you can crawl,
and you walk a bit but you fall, fall, fall!
Want to play with your big bouncing red ball?
I love you baby 'cause your sweet and small!

Come, lets blow out the candle on your cake,
yummy, yummy, yummy chocolate cake!
Now, lets go play with your bright pink balloon,
and then ... we can watch a funny cartoon!

A sweet bunny is having a birth ... day,
happy, happy, happy birthday we say!
And we sing a song ... la, la, la, la, la,
you clap and smile ... la, la, la, la, la, la!

Chocolate and candy and all that's sweet

Making eighty years old was no easy feat

Premium MemberBorn In the Dawn of August

If you were born in the month of August
Be cool, be calm, be wise and be robust
Summertime is almost over
And autumn is around the corner
Teeny or feeble leaves are falling
Some days are hot or humid like spring
Yellow tiny bugs are crawling everywhere
As customary, the hot summer rays failed
To obliterate quite a few. This is no fairy tale
Let’s wish everyone born in the dawn of August
Many Happy Birthdays. Let’s single out no one
Be cool, be calm, be wise and be robust
Love will remain in the air for everyone
To enjoy the very end of summer
In the name of the Savior.

Premium MemberTon Joyeux Anniversaire, Belle Commere

Femme ! Oh !

P.S. Translation ' It's Your Happy Birthday, Gorgeous Old Lady'.

My Son Kenneths' Birthday Present 2022

My Son Kenneths’ Birthday Present

2022

I can't paint you a pretty picture

I can't give you a lot of cash

But I hope what mommy gives you will forever always last

I can't recall the color, the one you love the best

But I do recall some good times and I am sure there's plenty left

I can tell you some funny jokes and the rules to your daddy’s game

But unless he’s here to speak to them they really are not the same

I can tell you about your childhood and some stunts you/they tried to pool

I can remind you of the feelings when you realized we/they were/weren't’ fools

And I hope what mommy gives you will forever always last

Although they made you change your name to have a place to live

Maybe in reality that’s all they had to give

But now that you became a man, and learned a lot alone

I hope you please remember that your never far from home.
