Walking down a country road
I fell upon a baby bear talking with a hare.
They look like they were long time friends that didn't have a care.
How are you today said the baby bear standing up with his arms in the air.
I have a little problem today said the hare
But no one seems to care.
I can't seem to find where I put my carrots yesterday
I have looked everywhere even in the barn in the big stack of hay.
My carrots seem nowhere to be found.
My friend can you please help me track them down.
The two friends wandered off
In search of the carrots,
Along the way they found a trail that led them to a feret.
The ferret had a belly ache
You see he ate all of hare's carrots..
What a naughty feret
On the landing, porch boards turn to prow.
The moon bends down to kiss the bow.
With a leap over the bow, the maiden voyage ends—
Solid ground becomes place for newfound friends.
On landing, feet forget the restless sea,
And find what they were made to be.
Verandah, boat, moon and stone—
Each threshold strives to feel like our own.
We jump the bow, cross the threshold
with something new, true-blue bold.
From porch to prow, from sea to land,
We make our entrance, proud and stately grand.
the mouse’s hero was his friend Mr. Owl
some would be scared, others would cry foul!
But Blue the Mouse and Mr. Owl were forever friends
They dressed for Halloween from head to ends
What do you do with your feathers? Asked Mr. Owl
Mouse did not understand, so he gave a tiny growl
Owl was satisfied, as well as completely far-sighted too.
Having no idea a mouse was his best friend Blue.
If Homer knew Rose, then she'd be the face,
that launched a thousand ships. And the walls of Troy,
which the Greeks tore down, would not fall from grace
if kings and the gods weren't pawns to destroy.
If Rose were Helen, her face would launch ten-
thousand ships—and enlist ten kingdoms more.
For Homer never knew, nor could imagine,
how fairer Rose makes Helen's beauty poor.
But, unlike Homer, I've gazed upon Rose:
her everlasting beauty is greater. Time
can never erase her feature or her pose,
so long as this poem endures as my rhyme!
And so, if Homer knew Rose (like I know her),
Troy would still stand: and have lasted forever!
Dear stranger behind the glass
Why do you stand there and watch time pass?
I see you when day breaks and night falls
I see your shadow when I pass you in the hall
You look right at me as we suffocate in silence
I came here in search of guidance
Why do you look away when I come near?
Why do you cry when I shed a tear?
You say hurtful words
But what I say is worse
Why do you ask me why you hate yourself?
Tell me if you wish to be somebody else
You look at me with sad eyes that never change
I always make you feel ashamed
Why do we hurt each other again and again?
I thought we were supposed to be the best of friends
Dear stranger looking in
When you're fighting with yourself you can never win
We Made Our Best of It
In quiet corners where shadows dance
we found our laughter, took our chance...
against that tide, we stood our ground,
in stormy seas, our strength was found...
through tangled paths life's winding ways
we crafted dreams in sunlit rays...
hand in hand, with hearts held high,
together we learned, well, learned to fly...
so here’s to moments, both bitter an sweet
to those memories made, where love, hope meet...
we made our best of it, it’s clear to see...
in our story of us, we’re forever free
You planted me flowers
And I watched them bloom
I was consumed
I filled the cup
And I poured and poured
Just a little bit more
But not even the sun
Could make them shine
As you watched me drown mine
So I’ll take the fall
For the wane of our love
I guess I gave you a little too much
Don’t part from me
My holy princely friend
As prayers to Leonardo
And King Francois just won’t do
I raise my voice to you
from this land of broken vases
where dreams of swans turn into hay
and morning is forever
dawning into an icy
hellish Arctic bay
I talk myself to sleep with you
Rolled up in feathered cloth
And pray, you grant
the long delayed release I’ve sought
My souls on display, judgment comes
after
Held by melodies and dissonant chapters
Do you like dark romance? 'Cause I bring
disaster
Do you see greed? Is it my scene? Or the need to be seen through it?
Believe me, I wish I could believe this fate
befalls us all
I hope that peace is sewn within my fall
So I might find the wings to fly taller
And if I can beg you for one last thing, that gives chase for us to be held tight
If we're lost beyond the edge of light
Know you were my trail of stars in sight
To not find in fear that I've let its voice
become our night
Please, release them, let them go
press enter and print, so we will know
The filthy secrets Donald keeps
Please, release them, expose the dirty creeps
Donald Trump is running scared
of secrets he and Jeffrey shared
Their reign of terror decades long
lucky for Donald, Jeff is gone
For dead men tell no tales or lies
but spirits hover and survive
And so the Epstein ghost lives on
to haunt and torment, dirty Don
It threatens to expose their crimes
the many girls, so many times
The lives they broke, the damage done
and how two monsters had their fun
So please, release the Epstein files
the hidden names, the evil smiles
Expose the players in this stew
and give these devils, both their due
Rubber Baby Buggy Bunny
I bought her at the store
Rubber Baby Buggy Bunny
They make her by the score
Rubber Baby Buggy Bunny
It's her I do adore
Rubber Baby Buggy Bunny
I think I'll buy two more
The world outside is vast and bright,
Soaring buildings and lakes so grand,
But its high groves fade from sight,
In the moments I just hold your hand
A simple touch, a glance you hold,
Shifting in the air that stops time,
Turning ash and grey to molten gold,
Like lightning singing to you in this rhyme
Do you feel it softly, tingling and kind?
Of perfect peace beyond compare,
Empyrean is what I always find,
In the laughter, we so often share
Your gentle voice, a calming sound,
quiet strength, a steady grace,
My heart's happiness can be found,
When I'm safe within your space
At my judgment in a far-off place,
I'll want for no moment yet to view,
'Cause the only heavens I belong in too
Are the ones, when I'm with you!
I dreamed I asked my dog Bixby,
"What should the third of your tricks be?"
He said, "I'll walk on a tightrope.
But if I fall, I have high hope,
if I break something, you'll fix me.
We talked a lot, we shared some dreams
My very special friend
And though you might not do the same
I'll love you 'til the end
In time the memories gather dust
Their sharpness not as fine
Into the background fade they must
But always they'll be mine
Important though the details not
Remember I'll at will
Your smile recalled on the spot
You're unforgettable
Bed how I love thee
Let me count the ways ….
Always ready when I am sleepy
And in need to rest my weary bones
You keep me warm and cosy
Are the best company when l feel alone
You comfort me when I am unwell
Help me to mend and heal
Are there when I need to escape the world,
When life's worries and woes I feel
When nature is raging outside
You make me feel safe and secure
With my head under the covers
You protect and reassure
I share you with the one who holds my heart
You have watched my child grow
Many tears and much laughter you have heard
Private thoughts and discussions you know
You are a great keeper of my secrets
You know the real me
Supportive, available and inviting
Bed how I love thee ……
