"I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart) I am never without it..."
E.E. Cummings

Amber hues kissed twilight's platinum pigments that night,
beckoning ivory pearls to weave patterns of astral flames.
Charm of the crescent moon glowed in a golden gem tinge,
dazzling in divine desires, devoted to admirers of starlit destinies.
Enamoured, we embraced, consoling under coral constellations,
forgetting fears, promising to forever remain as cosmic lanterns.
Galactic fires of euphoria, blazed celestial candles into dripping wax,
hushing horizons into a heavenly haven of honeysuckle hope.
Intoxicated inside fireworks of ethereal lights, dancing on clouds,
jasmine jubilance filled the air, as shy silver sparks slipped away.
Kindled spirits like nocturnal diamonds yearned to be eternal
lovers of luminescent lullabies lingering inside opalescent orbs.
Magnetism of moonlight melodies are enchanting, but ephemeral,
nothing lasts forever, so at dawn with the arrival of a nightingale
orchestra, our obsession of obeisance withered like an orchid obituary.
Pastel passions of our paramour portrait discoloured with daylight dew,
quivering in nature's quiet quarantine of quintessence slumber.
Radiant rays only offered reflections of regret and rejection, as,
sorrows of sunflowers in winter winds shattered my hourglass heart.
These tribulations torment my tired soul, like a refugee of romance.
Unstable, under an umber universe, I've become an uncherished
verse in a voiceless vocabulary, no longer vibrant nor valued.
Wilting in the wilderness without your wisteria whispers, wounds in
xanthous tumours, hidden behind a veil of Xanadu metaphors,
yearn to heal from yesterdays, where your touch softened my burdens.
Zest of your zealotry is engraved in echoes of my zephyr heartbeats.

Broken Afrikaans

the breeze of revival comes with your visit

there's a barrier of almost 500 years that separated our purity

in skin tone, religion and relations
we've been castrated from roots and fed with

religious zealotry, greed,
and brutal rape of our ancestry

fear not the seas God stilled

the wind muffled from howling

or the sun never rising for rest

The Trial of a Lord Part 1

Allow me explain
Brethren gathered here for
Custom dictates
Due process prevail
Exaggerated much
Flaws mine-as may seem
Granted the providence of evidence you see
Highly placed the source-allegedly
Inconceivable the idea that falsehoods they be
Jury decide-be it she or be it me
Kissing and telling discretely-of course
Listlessly I will you tell this tale, you see
My wife's mother's brother's valet-who doubles as mine
Noticed a queerness about this chambermaid fine
Opulent her head with silky tresses
Perfect her skin as nothing else is
Quenching a thirst as non I ever knew
Repugnant as I found the idea, true
Sacrifices always must be made for
The greater good of humankind sake
Ungodly as you all will agree this meeting between her and me
Vestments would not keep me away
Witchcraft! That's what we suspected for how else could I a Lord be so blinded
Xylophone music was all that I heard while headily begging for her hasty embrace
Yet how was this Lord ever to know that
Zealotry was for chambermaid's too?

Energy’s Suffocating Gallop
                                  by Odin Roark

Ancient blood soaked sand
Plumes its sticky residue
Beneath rapacious hooves

Dust storms of evil stampeding beside pipelines
Goad flow to tankers
Where ubiquitous black gold addiction
Steers toward pervasive profit-docks

Behind sweat lathered greed
Winds of historic baggage
Tether their historic words and song
Blessings and curses
Exciting swirling vortexes

Windmills of molten fire
Entitlement’s rape and pillage of breath
Of pores once absorbing purity
Evil’s global bubble
Appearing as mankind'

Robed in white zealotry
The blinded hawk-minds
Embrace the Middle East predatory contaminant
Wallowing in solipsistic riches forgotten
Awake only to pick tomorrow’s gluttonous prey

The world turns on turbine propulsion
With oceans bowing to its slavery
Delivering liquid smokestack suffocation
Silent killers preparing ghosts
Of time’s new-century-plague
Ignored

As oil gorged tankers find port
Release their pandemic sleight of hand
A destruction as innocent as rabbits from a hat
Charms the ignorant
Beguiles the wannabes

Wheeled transport
Delivers the demise of children’s hearts
Left to take a number
Unaware there is no lottery
Only loser-consciousness
Adult indulgence clinging desperately
To evil’s mane and tail
As it whips gullible eyes
Into cataract submission

Alien life hovers above
Grieving the minions destined
To find black energy’s ashen dust
Sprinkling its fool’s gold
Upon a barren planet

A beckoning charmer,
Desire’s erogenous Flower
gratifies homage.
I justly kneel…
Love must now obey
Pleasure’s quest ridden subjugation
till unchaste voracious waves, xenogenous, yield zealotry.

Coexist

Yesterday I did some reading on the human genome
Within each of us are 23 pairs of chromosomes
All composed of adelaide, cytosine, guanine, and thymine
By all, I mean every living thing: flowers, trees, birds, bees, you, and me
Our differences lie in the innumerable sequences of: A, C, G, and T
All life is one, bacteria is your cousin, so is grass, even a flea
We all know human and chimp DNA share 98% similarity
With this in mind, how different can any of us humans actually be?
White, black, brown, yellow, mixed, we're all the same species
Take a quick second and really think about nature's subtlety...
It seems we simply like to feed our ego and tell ourselves we're unique
But it's because we've been raised to be admired and have an "identity"
Pair this with constant competition and you've got a recipe for enmity
They keep us separate with things like: "race", religion, politics, and ideology
Can't you see these are just designed to keep your thoughts elementary?
We saw just recently, in Paris, the consequences of zealotry
But that's just fresh in my mind, there's endless examples of bigotry
Is what I'm saying difficult to discern? Is it really that much of an anomaly?
A majority of our problems are self-created, we are our own worst enemy
Very little actually matters, it's impossible to comprehend our life's brevity
80 years amid 13 billion, we might as well be here accidentally
Scale all "time" into a year - your life would be less than a second, relativity
If you already forgot everything I said, just be nice, show some empathy
And think for yourself, don't let anyone tell you what you ought to believe
At the least, can we agree to disagree?

Surcease ye flux of basilic imprecations

Tempus Fugit - Part One

LVI Elapsed October 17th's Bore Witness To A Girl Born With True Grit

Tuss ben big goo me newt to write
and how though trite
thine complex edifice immersed in spite
which doth nobody any good RIGHT
hence hie exerted effort
from within this quite

mindful sib bull ling to detach himself from his own plight
and fashion attempt (however feeble)
   to complete before this night
a communique (my apologies if thee cognition strikes thee
with dumbfounded hard to comprehend patois),
   but perchance a mite

bit of the following - dashed off in a huff - epistle sheds light
on ceasing to ignore yourself (envious
of yar fierce sticktowithiveness) scaling height
of apprehension (more insurmountable than
natural mountain peak, versus taking flight
and shuttering ye out of my humdrum life (orchestrated
with mild sax and violins), yea not mooch to excite
but, this effort pressing fingers
upon select keys eventually generated a byte
size message sent via FIOS fiber optic and mostly airtight.

Tis with great difficulty birthday cheer proffered, when psyche still stung
by lash of acrimouny, calumny, effrontery, finality rung
humility indelicacy,...zealotry as if spoken with glee from your tongue.
unwise to sustain estrangement caws
each of us imperfect, aye kin attest mine past awash with flaws,

and admit crushing impact felt from others, especially late Zison inlaws
but, now yearly occasion of your birth opportunistic
despite being annexed by anxiety based on uncertain laws
sans human behavior, how ye might respond,
me owning modest kudos buffer as oopahs

to risk brokering a detente (which avoidance
toward thee) undermines cumulative, endearing hur rahs
visited times gone by,

The Slithering Stalker

It started with a small sentence
Picked up by one who demanded repentance
Innocuously sent and meant for so few
With the one the ignominy simply festered and grew

None could tell the one was so horrid
That its zealotry and hatred could be that torrid
The one crept and slithered to so many places
Connecting perceived illusions to different faces

"Prophetess!" and "discernment!" the one kept spouting
All the while "go" was all we were shouting
"They lie!" and "sinner!" the one spewed and droned
"Obsessive stalker" over twenty affected loudly bemoaned

After all is said let this be learned
Retalitory obsession most certainly will be returned
The whispers and taunts are so often malicious
But the one shall always be found vile and vicious

Hearsay

Do you vote your mind
Or court your heart
Acquitting party faithful
Whose lies never grow apart

Do you vote for choice
Or for political extortion
Condemning any candidate
Who decries abortion

Do you vote for jobs
Or rally against illegitimate wars
Picketing the freedoms
Of meat-eating, capitalist stores

Do you vote for education
Or for your ideological slant
Burning a child’s future
For an author’s utopian rant

Do you vote for tolerance
Or against an intangible God
Eschewing the zealotry
Of the Marquis de Sade

Do you vote for security
Or against the rule of law
Extolling revolution
Because government has flaws

Do you vote for independence
Or draw your party’s line
Gerrymandering objectivity
For rancor’s incestuous design

Do you vote for healthcare
Or how much you make
Insuring the suffering of patients
Whom doctors won’t take

Do you love America
Or simply love to hate
Voting for the integrity
Of our democratic state

In a state controlled by a fanatical militia
Fuelled by a desire for revenge,
They sit cowering in a crumpled cellar, huddled close,
Wide-eyed kids whimpering
Held tight by sad-eyed women and grim-faced
Men,muttering their imprecations
While listening to the crump,
Crump of the incessant shells raining down on their village,
Their hearts racked with hatred
Driven by fear.

In a state born out of terrorism
Hemmed in by hostility,
They sit crowded in their bunkers
Lit by flickering bulbs
Listening for the faint whine of Katyusha rockets
And singing shakily to keep their spirits up,
Silence falling when a shell bursts
As they fear the worst,
Their hearts racked with hatred
Driven by fear.

No Fanfare For This Common Man

Premium Member The Ghost

Oh trepid specter in the night
Making bold thy cursed plight.
What zealotry provokes thy mournful cry
Allowing thee to linger nigh?

Did Heaven bar thee entry first?
Did Hell itself not quench thy thirst?
And why this fuss and sordid gloom
To foreshadow some impending doom?

Did unrequited love convey despair?
Was the deprivation too much to bear?
Did thou stumble at Heaven's door
Causing thee... to tread my floor?

Was some crucial task left undone
To hinder the setting of thy sun?
Was true-love's knot unlaced in death
Which took from thee... thy final breath?

I know not the story of thy worth
That tasks a Ghost to walk this Earth.
But if such a state is now to be...
Let's hope it's not eternity.

Oh trepid specter in the night
Making bold thy cursed plight.
What zealotry provokes thy mournful cry
Allowing thee to linger nigh?

The Danger That Religion Presents Too Humanity

In shadows deep around the world,
here and there where thoughts converge,
A poem stirs, with words emerge,
To shed light on the dangers found,
When religion's cloak is tightly bound.

Religion, a force both ancient and grand,
Can unite hearts, make spirits expand,
Yet in its depths, a peril hides,
That can fracture love, and reason divide.

Humanity's quest for solace and hope,
Gave birth to faith, with ways to cope,
But zealotry lurks, its venomous fangs,
Injecting discord, where harmony hangs.

Dogma's grip, relentless and tight,
Blinds eyes to truth, distorts the light,
When beliefs become walls, shutting doors,
Exclusion breeds hatred, igniting wars.

Throughout history's tapestry bold,
Religion's bloodstains, their storys told,
Crusades, jihads, battles untamed,
Innocence lost, lives forever maimed.

Divisions deepen, as doctrines entwine,
Judgments and bias, no room to align,
Oppression thrives, on fervor's flame,
Suppressing freedoms, tarnishing each name.

The dangers lie not in faith alone,
But when control seeks an iron throne,
For those in power, the righteous few,
Manipulating truths, distorting views.

Science's wonders, held at bay,
Reason and progress, they seek to sway,
When dogma prevails, stifling the quest,
Innovation falters, and growth is suppressed.

But let not these words condemn the whole,
For within faith's sphere, great hearts console,
Compassion and love, its bedrock true,
When used as tools, can heal renew.

Let us embrace the wisdom we find,
In the essence of faith, to bind,
Not to divide or claim supremacy,
But to uplift, and set our spirits free.

The dangers that religion presents to all,
Lie in the hands of those who install,
Their narrow visions as eternal truth,
Neglecting the essence, and its golden youth.

So let us tread with care and insight,
Embrace the sacred, with minds alight,
Seek unity within diversity's grace,
Embrace the beauty of every faith.

For in the end, it's not faith alone,
That causes the dangers we've ever known,
But the frailty of hearts that sway,
From love's true path, thus led astray.

Soul Burning Madness

I Call your name every second ..
I try to find you everywhere ..
I shed tears for you..
I burn my heart for you..
Your soul screams in my blood..
But your name makes me scared..
Your words threatens me..
But your love recalls me in front of you..
I miss your madness, your insanity , your lunacy..
But I break into tears when I see your madness changes into zealotry..
