Duel --- Co-Write With Liam Mcdaid

Sweet flowing hands
Sweeping charm
Dancing slowly
Like wings
of a butterfly

His eyes - gentle, perceiving, acknowledging
In the midst of silence, he's aware of her every move

Sliding along
Shuffles feet
as arms
go back
Taking snake shape
The great cobra strikes

His lips - challenged, firm yet slightly amused
In the midst of chaos, he's alert of her every attack

Clashing sounds
Defending one heart
Each strike
finding equal
Bows the head
in honor
of grace

His hands - deadly, lethal yet softened towards her
In the midst of the duel, he shares a moment with her

Claws attack
Sweeping movements
Floating on air
Gliding souls
Within a heartbeat
Smiling defeat

His heart - beats in admiration, slightly fascinated
In the end, as he smiles in defeat...a heart is silently stolen

Sonnet Slow Net Connection

I’d rather read something for minutes eight
Than wait eight minutes for this site to load
For this slow net service I cannot wai
tI’d rather nap or simply stay at home

What makes this service too slow I wonder
Too many users online at this time?
Too many files on this old computer?
Way too many downloads? From many sites?

‘Tis time to stop wasting hours on the Net
‘Tis time to memorize from the Qur’an
Time to study for school, to be the best,
Seek knowledge offline as much as I can.

Farewell, Internet, I’ll come back later
When the net connection’s a lot faster :)

Moving Mountains

We cannot see but can believe
with a seed there is a tree
with love there is hope
we cannot see but can believe
its like moving mountains
we cannot see but can believe that the light and all its glory is still to come

E kore taea te kite ka taea te whakaponohia
He kaakano ka puta te raakau
He wai, ka puta te wairua ora
He aroha, ka puta te tumanako
E Kore taea te kite engari ka taea te whakaponohia
Ko te Aho Haeata
Akuanei ka hoki mai te Aho Haeata me tona kororia

At Waikiki

I love to catch much of an ocean breeze under the palm trees
To greet ‘Aloha’ to the rising sun on east Diamond Head
To sip a cup of senior discount McCafe on a street-side bench
To join a citizen tossing crumbles for fish’ and birds’ snack
To gaze on sluggish cargo ships offshore and buzzing flights in the sky
To admire a herd of maroon surfers on the silvery surges
To walk alongside with Ala Wai canal chiming the crew rowing a canoe
To brush drops on the head of a sudden shower in broad daylight
To draw a colorful rainbow spanning the misty valley beyond the sea
To sniff the plumeria of lei in the stalls by Kalakaua Ave. and Kapiolani park
To relish a creamy dish of poi and a heaped spoonful shaved-ice
To print my steps on the sands and disperse the foam on the beach
To look on the hula dancers with waving hands and singing Alohaoe
To have a sweet chat with curious tourists from all over the world
To be a romantic promenader in couples strolling along the seashore
To revel in a tone and tempo of strings pricked of ukulele
To bid farewell to the gorgeous sunset over the horizon
To watch splendid fireworks on every Friday event in Sheraton
To stroll around for touting window-shop till the mall opens
To count elysian, bright stars in the full-moon night
To have a dream in dreaming islands of Oahu, Hawaii
I love to exclaim “Mahalo, Waikiki!”, most of all

enticing white and pink beaches
captivating vegetation, food for the gods
served at luau with unfathomable hospitality

aloha said by everyone
eye contact swiftly given
spirituality accessible to all, not just shaman

Oahu, Wai Khaki, and the big island
So many choices; why not see them all?
Scuba diving, swimming, fishing.

Who would stop you?
Learn the island’s histories.
Ruled by famous queens and kings.

Enjoy the flow.
Slow your heart down.
Rest, rejuvenate and renew.
This is Hawaii after all.

My Day

i wake up every morning
and running to the way of balcony

because i won't miss you to see
how beautyful you are

your shine make me fill free and give me so much energy
to make my day
the way you love me
i love you more then ever

i breath
and i feel the breathe because of you

i sing a song
and the wai i sing, you make me feel
and when i feel, i rise i rise

your feeling is amazing, makse me understand
and it makes me want to lose with you
but i know that with you
i am not lost

i believe and i enjoy every moment
that i saw and what i am going to see
it's because of youand your kindness

day by day you surprise me
because day by day i live for you

the love with you is eternal

what i receve everyday from you its special

the love with you is eternal
and the love with you its special

my walk true your shadow
there are many to see me
and i see them too

my run thru your soul
its given life to me again and again

your beauty,your wealth,your power,your wisdom,
your acquaintance,your stranger,your talent,your effort
i take it far away beacuse i feel with you
and feel i rise i rise

your caess,your passion
and your guidance to another mastery
your steps i follow
i avail on self of

i have so much amusement
that you make bring to life

your philosofy,your art,your testimony,your credence,
your liability,your prosper and
you are the earth

make me travel long way
so far that even the sky will open the way
and going further
where the earth say bye to me
and i will fell in the universe

and so i return to you with the
confidence of living with you
because i love you

and for your caress
i rise i rise

On the 'hazy horizon' the sun rises high
Arid breeze caresses 'dunes in desert' arena
The steps of 'life in strife' stop
As the 'gleam of dream' 'sordid sands' grip
Bruised by the thorns of cacti
'Bliss from abyss' rises once again
Defines the contours of hope sublime
I 'try to descry' the 'hint of hidden' oasis
Where my journey will end in joy boundless.

After the 'spent sun sets'
The path quite rough glistens in twilight aura
For the luminous moonlit night I wait
To walk the last mile
As for me the distant bell tolls.

A Call

Attending school was never an option when the empty drum echoes the song of yearning grains, trekking the lanes with bathroom slippers that awaits a welcoming party in the municipal waste truck while idanuwa na zubar da kwalla.

Bafflement grips me when some sit in their Sunday best with glossy heels kicking a storm for not getting steak when tuwo miyan kuka is served.

Wai mai duniyar nan ke zama ne? The rich are becoming richer and the poor, poorer. Wai fa we can no longer spare a Kobo for the sick and weak when aljuhun mu na zuba. Ni ban ce kudi bata yi ba, wealth is everyone's dream amma sparing little for the needy too is good.

Premium Member The Curse of The Pearl

Legends from Hawaii, are in themselves,
legendary, like some treasured keepsake.
The Pearls Curse is not on library shelves,
just a few Hawaiians that I forsake ...

Prompts summed place the world had called Pearl Harbor,
the locals called the same place, "Wai Momi." (why-MOE-me)
The shark goddess, gifts her home, "pearls water,"
the locals know what this place used to be.

Wai Momi does not shine for the people,
a goddess takes human form--learn what's wrong.
A car stopped, then, "I'm Admiral Kimmel."
"I lost the Pearl?" "This place, you don't belong."

He turned to his driver to call the gate,
in turning back, he said, "You folks ne'er lost ..."
and she was gone. "I guess she saw her fate."
A goddess watched, "Our paths meant to be crossed."

The Pearl has chosen you, Mr. Kimmel.
The pearls once loched in my water garden,
you're a pearl amongst pearls to my people,
pearls lose their luster ... the curses are done.
