Premium Member The Smile

For a second there I saw you smiling
I must admit I am wondering why
Things you've gone through are so appalling
They break my heart and make me want to cry

Yes you see my choreographed smile
it’s there to hide, what’s buried deep inside.
My heart’s shattered like a porcelain tile
Within me I feel the sharp shards collide

I see emotions leaking from your eyes
Speak your demons discover your healing
Dismiss false words and other people’s lies
Validate all the things you are feeling

I have come to grips with my own mistakes
From the demons I have found some relief
Sadness permeates me my body shakes
In time good will come that is my belief

I can see now how your smile meets your eyes
Doors have opened beyond a life of pain
Your true potential you now realize
All things within reach freedom once again

I feel I was given a second chance
Although I miss those I’ve lost on life’s way
I choose not to live my life in a trance
Innocence reclaimed I’ve learned how to play

Premium Member Don'T Give Up the Fight

Don't give up the fight

Vs 1
I know that you have suffered in the silence,
(but) I never knew that you would go this far...
I thought I understood your pain...
now memories...are all that remain...
now I look to the stars

Vs 2
I see in others eyes- they too feel the pain
I pray for them, that it won't be too late
I pray for them, that the day will come
when suffering in silence-comes undone
and no-one is to blame

Chorus
Oh, I know well, all that you're feeling
I can validate, the emptiness you feel inside
I'm the proof that life's worth living
so please, don't give up the fight
no, no, don't give up the fight

Vs 3
I know for you, it's hard to see your beauty
all the love that dwells inside of you
Maybe, I can be a friend,
someone you can trust and can depend
to tell you the truth

Vs 4
You should know, that it takes time to get free
to conquer all the conflict in your mind
The tangled web of tragedy,
need not be your final destiny....
happiness you'll find.

Chorus
Oh, I know well, all that you're feeling
I can validate, the emptiness you feel inside
I'm the proof that life's worth living
so please, don't give up the fight
no, no, don't give up the fight

I know that you have suffered...
in the silence,
(but)
I never knew,
that
you
would
go
this
far...

2020

they say "hindsight is 20/20"
is it easy to validate what is behind us
like a storm that causes mass destruction and death
get indemnity for what is lost, even when it's time?

spring had sprung, winter clung
no way to vitiate the damage being done
as we sit inside looking out
watching nothing but time passing by

even shadows are stilled in silence
while we stare across the horizon's edge
at morning's rise and fall
counting stars more than days
just to fill the voids in life

we patiently await for something more
seeing our tears trickle from skies
as our screams fall from birds gathering nearby
volant in their freedom while we are caged
trying to find our way out of this maze
that 2020 has become...
awaiting on hindsight

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Paternal Love

What i always wanted in life
Was an ideal dad
One who cared about family happiness
And could cheer us up when were sad.

I always wanted a kind man, one who’s patient
And to him his family meant the world
I wanted a man to validate me
By telling me i was a good girl.

I wanted a man who’s discipline
Was never angry or severe
But a type of discipline
That would encourage good conduct when we are far or near.

I wanted a man to tell me happy stories
And tuck me into bed
A man who always told me he loved me
And kissed me on the head

I still long to be hugged, kissed, and squeezed
But i don’t’ expect my future mate to blow my nose whenever i sneeze.

My childhood was a mess
And i had a dysfunctional family
It is the mighty hand of god
That has come in and set me free.
It is not fair to ask my future husband
To treat me like a child
But if expects to love him back
He must be meek and mild.

My future mate cannot play that role
Or undo the damage that has been done
But Jesus, my adoptive dad can fill this void
And through him my victory has already been won.

Premium Member Bewildering Beauty

Initially, it appears
Jackson Pollock's interspatial painting
"Ocean - Tribute,"
overtly oversteps the boundaries of abstract art.
And the eye struggles
to validate its bewildering beauty,
hidden amongst the dribbled droplets of paint!
But then, seemingly spontaneously,
the blobs and dapples of color
intermingle in purpose.
And you see a kaleidoscope of shapes
and forms merge and disperse
into limitless shifting patterns;
as your imagination
gains access to the artist's dream.
Unique to the beholder:
interpretations tap into the imagination,
to abstractly convey cemetery and fluid motion
in the natural cadence of chaos.
Beyond beautiful; it's breathtaking!

Rocket Ship People

Send that message
That signal so far
Is there a tower, some beam
That could speak to that distant star
A million miles
Separated
Years on that rocket
Could get anyone jaded
We looked up as kids
That glitter caught our eyes
Stole our hearts
Spun beautiful lies
How pretty those stars were
To we who didn't know better
Now to think, we can catch those dreams?
How silly
How childish of a dream that seems
Those stars and their lovely call
Telling us they weren't really that far at all
How so very pretty they were
To we, captivated, who didn't know better
Should've known better
Years on that ship
In the dark
In the cold
In those places
Where space is
So twisted and uncontrolled
So close we come
To the warmth of that distant Sun
Cast out again
In our rocket we spin
Flung into the deep and the darkness we float again
Lost and trying to find
Blink that message out to
Some other lonely mind
Not sure it will land when we're this far out
Where words fall like feathers
The silence a deafening shout
How so very pretty those stars still are
We do know better
But will still go so far
Through that crystal wall
Cold
Never ending
Straight into those glittering flames
Heart rending
Should've known better
Will never know better
What code is that beaming
That we could know better
God knows we try
Though our message lost
In that vacuum between where our signal gets tossed
about
Battered and broken
Words bridging the void just
To never be spoken
Its meaning we dance
about
We were taught so much better
Why don't we do better
Than flying alone
Should be cruising the stars together
How loud
How big
Should that signal be
Put a tower on the moon
If it'll call you to me
To visit those glittering specks we admired
Validate and make real that to which we aspired
Lost a wing?
Here take mine
May take a while, but we'll get there in time
Better late than never
Seeing wonders together
Than spinning out, fuel down low, lost to forever
There is a better
Not hard to do better
Sift through the noise
For that message to weather
The chaos, the static, the cosmic melee
So two rockets can find
One another
And play
In the glittering warmth of some star far away.

Eyes of an Eagle

If I had the eyes of an eagle,
And the strength of wings to
fly,
I'd put a camera on my proud
chest,
And off to DC, I would fly.

My fuel is my rage against
all out to destroy this great nation,
With breaking news, hideous
lies and false allegations...
America!! Berated daily in
international publications!

Against all God believing men and women,
Using that meaningless term,
"Conversation", as some universal justification.
It's a word to validate all things unethical.
Like infanticide, simply twisted, to mean....
"Oh, it's just medical."

A murdered child's warm blood splashing~
on the icy cold, gleaming marble floor.
Her tiny fists clenched in rage as Mommy
walks out the butcher's door!

I cry, "no more, no more!"

An Adventure At 3 Am

It's three in the morning
And I was awakened by
An extreme thirst. In the night
It's hard to tell just how thirsty
You really are. It's not so easy
To sneak downstairs to get a drink.
Tiptoeing past my parents bedroom I think
About how angry he'll be when he finds
Me awake in the dead of the night.

It's now somewhere around maybe 3:03,
I've made it to the stairs and suddenly, creeeaaak!
I freeze and listen for father's fleeting footsteps
But, he does not come. I take a deep breath
And walk down the stairs. Oh god the dogs.
I didn't think of the dogs. They leap up high like frogs
Off their Lilly pads and jump onto me.
"Get off." I mouth the words silently
And push the dogs off. I grab myself a tall drink
And chug the thing down, put my glass in the sink.

Coming back up the stairs, it's a quarter past.
I skip the creaky stair that made my heart blast
Almost burst straight out of my ribcage.
Damn. I wanted a drink but I don't think I'm brave
Enough to venture too far past my bedroom.
My bedroom? Here I am! I've made it! I'm safe!
I did not wake my father from his sleep.
I'm in. Shut the door, and now I can breathe.

It's 3:18 now and I lay down in bed.
But, of course I can't sleep. I'm awake in my head.
Poetry, oh yes. This was poetry! A ballad!
Get my computer and I'll type my story to validate
And express just how it felt to be thirsty at three.
Then, they'll understand how it feels with a small victory
I'm the protagonist, the knight, trying my best to find
The elixir, guarded by Cerberus. Sneaking from behind
The sleeping dragon's cave. I don't want to wake
Him and so, I'm quiet and agile. A true hero.

3:38. My poem is written. It's time to try
To get into bed and rest. So reader, until next time.
Goodnight.

Premium Member No Purpose Pulses

My flesh is flush with inadequacy each day
for no purpose pulses inspiration my way

No motivation shows to validate
that my energy even palpitates -
I am a daytime deficiency breathing.
All things seem possible before I sleep
then night’s energy sun fades into lethargy:
I rise to flounder, flail and fail to move so never do I see the
me that my prayers and hopes wish new days would promote.
Has karma woven my desires revoked
or am I now a bad aging type of joke?
I cannot grope life’s enthusiasm
nor can I fathom what has happened,
but I am sad that my self-esteem’s armor
has been pierced by darkness infused drama …

home clocks loud mock me
as moments find me unchanged
just aged within ticks
tocking my stopped impetus
in passion’s puddled blandness

Premium Member The Argument

The Argument has always been,
Who gets to decide what is right?
You think yourself a Sovereign?
Let's examine the Erudite!

"Man should make the sovereign choice,"
The Erudite Scholar will say,
"Unaided by an imagined Voice,
No Crutch to get in his way."

But, alas, the Erudite dies,
And, God's predictions come true,
And, truth that is mixed with lies
Will not solve man's deepest issues.

God's word was made to outlive all,
Yet Satan arrays against it.
He brings with him a captive thrall:
Deceived, depraved, unrepentant.

"Reason demands we must oppose.
We cannot accept His burden."
Truth is spewed into vomit flows
And the Devil's Puke is Chosen.

"Nothing is beyond man's power.
Ignore this god altogether.
There is no god, do not cower.
Our freedoms demand no tether."

"The Nations had better listen.
For My choices will always stand.
Jerusalem and Israel -
Will forever bear My brand.

I give you space, and I give you grace,
For repentance and salvation,
But, opposing Me to my face,
And, I give you ruination.

My rage will be unquenchable,
For Satan and the Nations,
My Messiah, insatiable,
Heaven's armies at their stations.

Once again I will validate,
My choices, My Messiah.
You know this because you have read,
The Book of Zechariah."

Peering In the Windows

Peering in the windows,
Of those lives I barely see,
Except when tokens are procured,
For rides, intermittently,
They look at me, I look back,
Nothing severed or taken,
My pith, unimpaired,
And by them, unmistaken,
Do they think that my life,
Should be transformed to theirs,
With foreign exclusions,
And tainted, quaint stares,
Their subtle indifference,
No case dares to appeal,
Embodies the essence,
Of a world they call real,
So they ask with green eyes,
Should I now switch with you,
Would that make my self-worth,
Somehow, progressively true,
I glance, to respond,
That neither is needed,
Because as tolerance failed,
Manipulation succeeded,
We both yearn to validate,
Our courses of being,
Amidst choices of learning,
And preferred ways of seeing,
For now, the windows are closed,
The Santa Anas, they're blowing,
And those lives which premiered,
Have no interest in showing,
We will then pause to wonder,
If the sill might be locked,
Therefore sealed from exposure,
And no chance to be mocked.

Poets are the sense, philosophers the intelligence of humanity. ~ Samuel Beckett

Line of enquiry: Newton’s First Law of Motion (Inertia): An object at rest stays at rest, and an object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by an external force.

love is contagious
fall in love
and many suitors will crawl out of the worn woodwork
a plethora of choices
confusing and so tempting
their motivation puzzling
spurred on by the common herd mentality
similar to following the politician who embraces pseudo-science
they do not have brakes

if you do not love
everything
and everyone seem hostile
escaping to your private abditory
might protect you from hurtful experience
but like a mixed metaphor
an implicature will lead to a pratfall
requiring others to mop up after you
your inertia inevitably noted

interaction with others
forms groundwork
for relationships
the external stimuli
essential for the development of empathy
open heart and mind
as a stagnant entity just cannot grow
but happily balter through the cobbled streets of life

Is This Then My Fate

is this then my fate
watching the scurrying crabs
rearranging sands, counting the waves
the wary eyes of the magnificent frigates above
your eyes were to me
exotic birds of aquamarine
whose free flight
stole my thoughts
my breath
my heart
now i have a horizon
where the world disappears
the universe begins
azure is more than a color
how ironic
how often said
love is blue
herein are only remembrances
of shared happiness
a gentleman never tastes bitterness
in what was not meant to be
i had a professor once, well more than once
who explained that we needed
to reach into the depth of being
to write poetry
that sentiment was to be avoided
as some shunned member of society
a useless masked whore
this poem is my gift to you
not to impress a world i could care less about
but to validate the point
sentiment is the foundation of poetry
innate to the heart's wings in the quill
that fills the dreams within
or walks in mourning upon the beach

Points To Ponder

When you hurt someone
and care to apologize,
When you vow to shun
and redeem your lies.

When you look
beyond your creed
and help those
who are in need,
In the midst of your troubles
When you hold your faith stable,
Of heaven and hell
I cannot censure or exalt
Neither validate nor fault
But you’ll live your life
free of stress and strife.

When it becomes easy
to give than receive,
When it becomes easy
to assist than deceive,
When it becomes easy
to lend than borrow,
You live your life
free of pain and sorrow.

It behooves us to live for today
to trust in God come what may.
