The Urgent Flesh

As sun smiled a last few moments
on our warm, trembling rock,
and I sat behind you in the breeze,
your skin visibly welcomed
touch of sunset, touch of air
and touch of worshipful hands.
I'd have ravished you there
but for the uncertainty of the day.
Your breasts grew urgent
under my audacious touch,
and your skin threatened
to burst into a myriad rays
of warmly chilled daylight.
I was not quite sure
whether your luxurious flesh
surrendered to the touch
of that flirtatious summer breeze
or surrendered to the touch
of my infatuated hands.
It satisfied me then, there,
to think that it might be both.

Urgent Call for Love

The evil axis has been burning
Who rules the land? It’s now very vague.
The second son must get out of old Al Sham
And meet the hungry jury in The Hague
The puppet is hanging by his last string
And the judgment day is sure to come
Forty thousand martyrs will be singing
As they join me in my urgent call for love.

The war machine is pregnant and is bloated.
Money births an icy, rigid son.
He grows up in the muck of all this madness,
It arms its addled brother with a gun.
In my world, war is not an option,
Let’s end the chaos with a silken glove
Murdered angels soar among the heavens
Please join me, in my urgent call for love.

I’d love to build a mass market dart board
With mug shots of the Senators and House
I’d load it on an App and shoot the darts off
With the quiet, perfect clicking of my mouse.
How can these servants bow before their master?
When Moses had already freed his tethered load?
Make them testify before the one judge
And answer to our urgent call for love

Some years ago a scholar lost his lectern
Because somebody stole my vote away
He spoke his truth in defense of climate
And was told let’s fix it later, not today
When the perfect storm came a calling
It blew our measured lives and hopes astray
My Mother, here’s an olive branch and white dove
I surrender to the urgent call for love.

The pleading skies and rivers, they have warned us
Their voices rose to wail their tortured song
The veins of life, they have been all corrupted
And darkness has been blinding us in fog.
Insanity bathes in its make shift chambers
It soaks in a vile and filthy marble tub.
Please join in my call for our salvation,
I am humbled, in my urgent call for love.

Shrubbery Urgent

Shrubbery is critical for survival
An absolute emergency
The most urgent crisis in existence
The human condition! The human condition! Think!
The most important thing in the universe!
Chant it one hundred times per night while chewing crackers
A chair is optional when morning comes
Contemplate due diligence, care, when sharing it
Tenderness is required at all times
Shrubbery is kind and wise
An absolute imperative is to love your shrub
Capital tools should be utilized when planting
Capital letters apply when writing SHRUBBERY
Slow enunciation, syllabification when speaking it is law
Improper elocution equals execution and sometimes death
Smile when pronouncing it
Whisper gently to it and it will answer back
“Bushes are bushes.” “Trees are trees.” “We are Shrubbery.”
“Genuflect before each bush.”
“Respect your Shrubbery.”

I cant breathe, an urgent appeal
But still your knees are on my neck
Pleas are ignored, my fate is sealed
I cant breathe, an urgent appeal
Death will result from this ordeal
Is there a pulse?, too late to check
I cant breathe, an urgent appeal
But still your knees are on my neck

Urgent Need

I was stuck in traffic
Just the other day
When a certain feeling hit me
In a most horrific way

I felt a pressure building
It's happened more than once
But the fact I didn't learn
Made me feel just like a dunce

Sweat was on my forehead
My foot was on the brake
"LET'S GET THIS TRAFFIC MOVING!!"
I said for goodness sake

I've got to reach an exit
To answer natures call
I'd settle for a tree or shrub
But I prefer a stall

The cars then started moving
I thought, "I'll make it through"
But ten feet brought another halt
Now here comes number two

My forehead sweat is beading
As internal pressure builds
I dread to think what happens
If my need is not fulfilled

The guy beside me's drinking
From a Big Gulp soda cup
Unconcerned of progress
As I watch him turn it up

Again we start to moving
I can see the end in sight
A blue sign shows the promise
Of a restaraunts delight

It's not their food I'm seeking
But their plumbing there within
I'll be glad to order something
If that's what it takes to win

I've got one lane to change
So I put my blinker on
I hope the guy back to my right
Can see what's going on

Here we go. We start to roll
The guy gives me a space
It's just another fifty feet
To help me end my race

I grit my teeth and grip the wheel
With bowels and bladder full
I make it to the exit
And I pray to save my soul

I finally reach the turning point
But then the light turns red
I wonder if there's someone
Out there messing with my head

With muscles growing weaker
I hope that I don't seep
The pain that I'm enduring
Is enough to make me weep

But then the light turns green
And we're free to move along
"Lord just let me make it
Before anything goes wrong"

I turn into a parking lot
And find the nearest space
I park my car and jump out
Then I'm off to run the race

I find the restroom there inside
The one that's marked for men
I turn the knob and find it locked
DAMN!! Where does it end?

I dance around and grab myself
And then I hear a flush
My eyes roll back into my head
I feel a certain rush

I know the moment's near at hand
When I can have some peace
Just get that bastard outta there
So I can feel release

     The colors,
      the smell of seaweed,

      the heavenly blessing

      without conclusion
      in the sunset of eternity

Urgent Call To a Tecnician

Bought a white Whirpool fridge at PC Richard,
took the salesperson's sound advice and word.
Plugged it in...it worked well,
the next day, it gave me hell!
The temp. was set on " coldest "...what happened?

Sooo Urgent: Just a Dip

For some,
it is a healing portion.
But me,
with swollen lips
and aching limbs,
it's rather a headache... (though it wasn't before)

And in my mind,
it all aches,
urgency nagging me, through and through.
Even the most boring lessons
taste the sweetness of nectar,
as my body aches for rest,
and mind aches too,
to dip back in studies.

Day turns to dusk,
its sweat pouring down my skin,
slipping off my nerdy glasses down my nose.
(Doesn't matter how much I can do,
but I'm still a NERD!!!)

*Please don't think anything awful. I love music and I love my trumpet, but still I love my studies too. I don't know why, but I can't help missing science, and literature! :(

Urgent Tea Party

Urgent Tea Party

Mrs. Jet sent out the invitations in a fever and a heat
Envelops sealed with royal wax and stamps she licked herself
The tea would be at Meadow Marsh Retreat two weeks from now
Appropriate attire is required for all attending this event
Pleated blouse and sleeves for women, tux and tie for men
“No extraneous unknown entities will be permitted
No other friends, family, dogs, or fish will be let in”
Attendees are sworn to secrecy
It must be something serious! It must be something dire!
Mrs. Jet intimated in her letter with some guile

In her subtle way by way of content details; “Oolong Da-Hong Pao and Dragon
Well Bud Tea will be prepared”, she wrote

These teas are only served in emergencies, as we all know
This must be something grandiose indeed
Two weeks later to the minute
Mrs. Jet and company sat under the ulmus trees at Meadow Marsh
Sipping the lovely teas when she stood up to make remarks
Welcome one and all to this Urgent Meeting on this urgent matter.
My credit score is perfect every time
I’m about to lose my mind
3 weeks ago my credit report was due
It was released but to who?
Perhaps they forgot to mail it
I fear it must be lost or stolen
The perpetrator of this malfeasance must be jailed
The TV says my credit score is needed
It must be repeated daily
Mrs. Jet set out to make this point
Without a credit report and score, what’s the use of going on?
Many of the honored guests were equally offended and annoyed
Some gasped. Some even fainted.
Who would take your credit score?!
One man interjected as he roared
This means war!

Senselessly Urgent

given the infinite age of the Universe
this could be a simulation
how can unknowing give birth to knowing
how ignorant do you keep yourself
and remain in the comfort zone
space allows only one thing simultaneity
meanwhile back at ground zero
a serialized 3-D epic
about the power of of procreation
runs through my Imax skull
things are always tense
looking at the sky looking at my watch
checking the rear view for signals
our awareness of time is a scandal
sub divisible much finer than
the mere past present and future
mainly because there is no present
go ahead point to it
see there it went
just flushing yer commode
a tale of holy exasperation
the toaster operation didn't go well
Dr. Limbic didn't know why
was supposed to drag up the past
but up it popped
all of it
all at once
a replay button that works would be nice
fortunately he was good at patterns
and patterns of patterns
and got a seat by the window
the blurring of lines was spectacular
effortless and frivolous
good that's out of the way
now for some anti-grammatical fun
thanks to my circus training
very safe no firing squads
bus stop poet captive audience
cooking as though for a famine
whatever happens when I die
lord let it not be Munchkin Land
then the screen went blank
and I had to fall back
from an often perplexed state
and print everything upon fibrous mats
do your homework

Premium Member An Urgent Appeal

Dear Fellow Poets,
I urge you to read the short paragraphs below, and if you are so inclined, to contact your congressperson immediately. YOU CAN make a difference.

Israel is dreadfully short of weapons and military equipment for the 300,000 reservists it has called up in the last 24 hours to counter the unprecedented terror attack visited on it for the past three days.

A communique to me from Rachel Levy, a liaison for Garin Tzabar, the organization which supports lone soldiers (like my son Daniel Wolf) in Israel, reports hundreds of soldiers being asked to report for duty with ordinary hammers, as weapons (!)

Unfortunately, no new U.S. funds can be authorized for Israel without a new Speaker of the House in place. (All legislation and appropriations are hung up, by the way, not just emergency aid to Israel).

So, please contact your congressperson today. Ask him/her/they to move with all possible haste to choose a new Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Thank you for your reading, and for any and all support forthcoming.

        Blessings, Gershon Wolf

P.S. Prayers are extremely helpful as well. ~ gw

Premium Member Urgent Prayer For My Sister

My heart is gripped in sorrow and fear,

But Jesus, precious Lord, draw near

I lift my sister up to You, I beg Your mercy

                                     To see her through

So long her horrid, torrid disease

Abated, and her pain was eased

And now in fear, in pain and dread

                               In ICU, upon that bed..........

Oh Jesus, please, Your path she's trod

                            Father, Spirit, Lord and God

I pray You touch her in this hour

With love, and grace and healing power

                                Heavens many angels

                         Please leave her dwell awhile

Here where we so need her still,

                          Her poems, her joy....her smile

Father, hear the prayers we pray

We love her, don't take her away!

                            And so I post this.....urgently

That others join in prayer with me

                                          Amen

Urgent Care

Urgent care is where you go
When you’re a little scared
That what you feel might be a thing
For which you’re unprepared.

You’d rather not spend hours in
A hospital’s E.R.,
But staying home is stressful
When you’re not quite up to par.

So urgent care is something
That is somehow in-between,
For hopefully, by someone trained
You’ll actually be seen.

They’ll check you out and send you home
With meds and some advice
To see your doc (or not –
It’s up to you to roll the dice).

Before these places did exist,
The hospital was where
Most people went when they believed
They needed urgent care.

But nowadays it makes more sense,
Unless you cannot breathe,
To stay out of a hospital,
Where waits may make you seethe.
