Best Unpleasantness Poems

Bearly Believable

A woman in Alaska,
With her brother on a hike,
Never dreamed that on a bathroom break
Unpleasantness would strike.

She sat down on the toilet
In an outhouse near a yurt
When she felt like something bit her
And she screamed because it hurt.

Her brother raced inside to see
Perhaps a squirrel there
But a glance into the bowl revealed
None other than a bear!

The wounds were superficial
But be warned before you strut
Into an Alaskan outhouse
Or a bear could bite your butt!

A Night Ride

One dark night takes me on a ride to an isolated hill where I inhale unpleasantness ..
Wide gleamy monstrous gate opens as the mighty wind blows,
creepy ferns crawl all over the floor.
Eerie garden awaits the lost lover's presence;
There stands a haunted home with a grubby porch at the entrance.
The magnanimous door welcomes me unwaveringly;
To the right there's slaughter hall polished with blood stains.
On the wall, hung portrait of a lady wearing a long red gown with a silver hat and a golden rosette stapled;
Beside protruded, a yearning window decorated by cob webs;
To the left led staircase ,as I step on railing, it crackles like hatching eggs; Carefully I manage to reach the first floor and confronted a quiet room occupied by constant whispers & spine-chilling whimpers...I slowly move inside and envision nothing strange,but I feel something moist dripping on my cheeks from the roof above.
When I look up, the entire strong ceiling collapses,
disembodied spirit arises,floating on air,observes the decaying house from a distance.

"Simple Task"

Live and let live, cause never any harm.
Not only is this right, herein lies our charm.
For there is no good in bullying and bossing;
As it reflects on us, self respect we're tossing.

A little bit of consideration goes a very long way,
Yet, it costs us nothing to dispense and/or display.
Remember, what we give, will also be returned.
If we harm others' hearts, we can expect our own burned.

If we think before we speak, carefully review
Our words before unleashed, given their debut,
We can spare the hearts of others any needless pain
And our own we spare the unpleasantness of disdain.

Live and let live, treat others as we want to be
And the peacefulness obtained along with harmony,
Will make our life a joy in which we can bask
Simply because we carried out a very Simple Task.

Escape into your heart;
Where your mind can't be found;
Flee into the fleeting muscles, pumping iron;
Flow within the vessels that inhabit dew;
Liquids of scarlet drops of quarrel;
Flee from out your head;
Those hurt full pangs you dread;
Sacrifice those killing scene;
Vanquish thoughts of unpleasantness;
Words hurt more than metal, sticks or stone;
And within my last breath...
Two face swords of tongues left;

Week Daze: Not a Poem, But Word Play : )

Weak-dei is a day following immediately after a Sick Day

Shun-dei is a day when a person just wants to stay in bed

Moan-dei is a day to complain about what work needs be done

T’ewes-dei is a day a person feels sheepishly

Wins-dei is the day someone becomes lucky in the lottery

Thirst-dei is the day many alcoholics suffer from

Fry-dei is a day when workers are ‘burnt out’ with the job

Scatter-dei is a day when volunteers are needed and everyone becomes scarce

The Mystery of Love

Gazing into eternity,
the clouds poured a rain of unseen laughter,
the signal mirrored a rainbow of green,
with the ticks and tacks of the clock a
misfit to my ear drums,
the cacophony of unpleasantness,
...in that very moment of need,
time is nudged towards the exit,
but to witness the happily ever after
a smile was the price,
but Time gave a laughter yet unseen
and secured a place in in the heart of bliss forever,
...with a strand of nerve left to ignite the together-forever,
the scene was a feeble smile that lit the
occasion of YES and YES I Do till death do us part...
"come be the Queen of my heart" my heart screamed out
and I the King in your Thoughts,
describing what words failed to,
sending a message of "Come be mine for
ever" down the tunnel of your ears lobes,
as my ever ravaging fingers comb through
your hairs with Passion words can't birth,
This Adam seeks you my Eve,
For as long as my lungs steals enough air,
I'll wait restless until my sleepless eyes
are set on a gaze that is You.

Seasons

In spring began the resurrection of
My faith and body, psyche, and my mind;
Again from God above I had found love--
I never dreamed that life could be so kind.

The summer was my adolescent time
When I discovered lust for someone else.
It was quite innocent and so sublime
Yet much of it was guided by impulse...

When autumn came, my years were waning then;
I knew my time on earth would be cut short.
I realized that I would die, but when?
Would I face God in His judicial court?

In winter they lay me in my own tomb;
Unpleasantness had taken its harsh toll.
My soul returned within its doom and gloom;
I needed once again to be made whole.

The Hermit

The Hermit
Part 1

Beyond Two Sullen Hill, not too far away,
Lives a solitary man, bitter, old and grey.
Known as the Hermit with heart of cold,
His life of unpleasantness is often told.

Many believe you would turn to stone,
If you caught his stare whilst on your own.
Tetchy and crabby for he knows no fun,
Stays in the dark, hidden from the sun.

In a ramshackle barn house, he resides,
Living on his own, to know one he confides.
Children believe stories of a Goblin myth,
Slaying victims at dusk, with a Neolith.

There must be more to this eremite man,
Whose body is frail and eyes are wan.
Believed to be Ninety and eight years more,
Was there a time when his heart was pure?

The Hermit
Part 2

Good morning Sir, how are you this day?
Tell me of your life, and why you live this way.
“I do not welcome strangers, or any one at all,
But, my time is getting near, I await the call.

Hitler took my home in early fourty-one
The house he destroyed, taking wife and son.
My dearest was 23 and young boy only two,
So, left a broken city, what else could I do?

I took a vow of silence and turned to God,
Became a recluse and viewed as very odd.
My life may seem morose and deeply sad,
Thought of as a grouch and slightly mad.

In truth, I must accept the world I see,
I asked nothing of life, it asked nothing of me.
Thank you for listening to my sad lament,
Grateful for your kindness and the time we spent”

Just a few days later the Hermit was gone,
Never had the chance to be someone.
Up on Two Sullen Hill, a stone of Granite cold,
To the Hermit, a posthumous, Heart of Gold.

Awaking to exceptional day, I noticed obviously gross, uncut grass,
all glaringly exhibiting growth in degrees ordinarily considered unusual.
My ambition to erase the ill look of my ugly duckling animated me.
Every bold invader was ostracized most unmercifully.
Persistently advancing, still energized, while ignoring time or thirst, unknowingly.
Pleased as grasses etherized helplessly, I rejoiced over their utter ruin.
Admiring my efforts gleefully, I stopped only for upkeep.
Surprised at the emergence right in time of prized unusual plants and
some edibles, deliberately I carried on with ultimate results.
As pride exalted me, I reckoned on finishing undamaged.
Perhaps a more experienced person in mowing occupation would understand,
the almost hypnotic effect that is brought on by unreasonable dedication.
As beauty emerged with incisive deftness, orderly rows ultimately triumphed.
As mower ensnared grass, I boldly opted to unload.

Tiredness assailed me even though I knew once more unbounded pride, acknowledging that every blade is mowed on my utopia. The action has energized some inactive muscles, obviously long unused. So as result expecting that I will observe some unpleasantness for attempting more exercise than I might often have utilized.
Now a peace envelops me. I know of nothing unpleasant.

Flatulence has many a name
I heard the poshest today
A saying oh so eloquent and fancy
It blew me away!

This saying is rather grand
Voiced only by the best
“Attention one and all”
“Who is responsible for?”

“That waft of unpleasantness”!!

Premium Member In a Heartbeat

My heart thumped away, trembling
In the sigh of an autumn grace
Reflecting the moments, when love
Painted my doubts in sapphire laughter
Silencing each hesitation with joy
Poured out on the spirit who knows
She’s finally found her other half –
	Something better than she can describe

My heart, beating recklessly withing me
Sending darkness a reminder that, with him
I know only the radiance of a kindness
The miracle of a light promising healing
The wonder of two who know what it means
To love beyond self-regard, with a love
That adores more than just the attractive
Love that admires even the unpleasantness
If it brings them closer to their most cherished
Treasure – the target of their affection
This love knows the meaning of acceptance

This love is wise and warm and willing
To give from the heart and soul, a feeling
That embraces even the letdowns, the flaws
Little catastrophes who inspire our hearts
To overflow with a love that is kind, generous
Gentle and considerate, a gift from the spirit
Who knows what it is to influence with love

This love is the sensation stirred to life
By the spirits of two who know the meaning
Beneath prayers, promises, praises…
The tenderness of giving more than things,
Giving with the intention of spreading
Pieces of a nature, affection that can’t be taught
Understanding, forgiveness, caring…
That can’t be bought – these are gifts from heaven,
          These are gifts from the heart!

My heart still trembles at the thought
Never knowing the joy of this love that brought
My heart to the realization that this gift
Is more beautiful than the most breathtaking
Intimacy like this brings the heart satisfaction
The soul a sense of appreciation and the spirit
A connection that inspires joy and affection

Come Closer

Come closer.
I fear you,
but what can I say?
You are the reliever.
Come closer,
Despite perspectives I’ve heard of you,
How dere I?
You are cruel,
I take an initiative now,
Come closer.

In life,
There comes a time
To call all quits.
Not that I give up,
But I save many from pain.
For the sake of the many,
Come closer.

This negative chapter
Can’t continue anymore.
It cannot be paused for later continuation.
It cannot be revised or replayed.
Bring it to an end.

When I dare look back,
A dark cloud hangs instantly.
Doubt, sorrow, sadness, unpleasantness,
Were the theme.

Now fatigue is my new theme.
I am weak.
I have fallen enough,
I have permitted enough,
I have handled enough.
I cannot permit or handle more.
Cease this not for my sake.

Now I only look forward to your coming.
Harken to my emotional request.
Make hast to come.
Not to them but to me.
Not for my sake but for theirs.
Not later but now.
I fear you.

Turning Hope Into Happiness

To find equanimity in a barren world, this is all I ever sought
struggling with these two emotions, I've always fallen short
happiness and sadness are life's struggles, challenging the very best
but the power to control these two forces, only in you does it rest

Trying to cope with sadness, and the fears you wear
always forced to conceal, those scars you bare
your smiles and forgetfulness, an attempt to escape
contours of pain mapped your heart, you'll never reshape

Feeling like a trapped animal, with no where to hide
tears of loneliness, solitude, are what echoes inside
you seek for a glimmer, any happiness to behold
without it, your life, long ago would you have sold

Then you receive, an email from a friend
this hope renews, your heart may yet mend
demeanor now changes, giving you new meaning for life
sadness has been temporarily cut, as with a sharp knife

As time passes, soon enough your pain does return
and with this passing day, tears again that burn
so once again you're stuck, a new device you seek
to remove this unpleasantness, feelings so bleak

Never ending cycles of discontent, this your daily chore
getting a handle to deal with it, or at least to ignore
a new sun will rise this day, from beyond that far shore
and with it a new happiness, may once again come to fore

Underneath Umbrellas

Unusually uninviting ultraviolets unleashes unrelenting unpleasantness underneath unique umbrellas,

uncomfortably upsetting us,

until umbra unexpectedly unloads ultimate Utopia upon us.
