Welcome KMart shoppers blares through the air as a mosh pit of greedy Holiday buggers hurl themselves through the glass and aluminum doors—Obese bodies press (children jammed between white-bread). Trolls in strollers screech in pain and howls of Christ mask laughter. The shopper's feet bombard the glossy, line-oh-lea-ummm floors as the overwrought, over-privileged, truffle sniffers, poke through the hundred and fifty percent marked-up—mark-downs, for things they already own in triplicate.

The maiden was carrying a basket
it was full of sweet flowers for market
once she got there she places a blanket
then lays the bunches around a casket
A toff came along and got one for Ascot
he doffed his hat showing a crew cut
the fabric of his trousers was tricot
made up fashionably in cross cut
He invites her to join him at Ascot
leading her down to a leafy short cut
intentions clear he opens his tricot
so she made good use of hidden off cut
Flees from situation most delicate
to get involved much too intricate
after all you must follow etiquette
to remain in the temple's syndicate
Collecting up her flowers and basket
she made her way home out of the market
she wrote never again in triplicate
as her cat came over to affricate
She sat down to a dinner of brisket
followed by a nice tasty biscuit
getting it down, she cleaned the musket
finishes day ironing her weskit
~~~~~~
affricate means to rub up against
Tricot is a fabric or material
weskit is a word for waistcoat usually very ornate
Trumpet the ethos of these wading warriors with the hollowed bones
of their panygeric prophets,resonating triumphant tones,
to forever honor,protect,& perpetuate the valor,virtue,& victory of this Holy Order,
the irridescent echo seeps from their Father's tombs,
for what extent shall I blaze myself and minions in the arrows path,
so to coddle an intangible hope made of a prayer's dope,
or in a mind where a prevailing vision roams,
nay, to avert that macbre nightmare of having my People's progeny becoming the pigmy
of a teething tyrant who condones the perversion of civilization's tomes,
a coalesced consciousness consummated by the last bastion
with a vigorous vigil on this Christmas Eve,
solemn and sacramental the emotion is which this of our hearts
the Almighty exhumes,
A dispatched soldier ploying as scout,remote, waiting ignorantly to be smote,
a far but not forgotten armored satellite being selfless,
his vanity enemy's threat consumes,
an unbridled but composed offensive of a triplicate terror delivered
by an indefatigable knight ,
an ultimatum presented simply but also strictly,
one at least his assault maroons,
Make a list of objects worthy of merit
They must sparkle in the dark
Glow in the light of day
And cost you your life if lost
No diamonds or gold permitted
Fossils are prohibited from all lists
Only things from alien worlds will do
Coded and wet in small letters
Get started right now
And when you are through
Submit the list in triplicate
Go to the next general in compartment Q
Big ideas will be extinguished there
If you are not included in the paper
It is no big deal
We will handle you and the list later
It’s an alien thing
Hic, Hic, hiccup, oh my
had several drinks
over the last few hours
and my poor head is spinning
Hic pardon me 'tis the drink
my feet seem to be both left
I keep tripping over ouch
maybe a last one for the road
Hic that was not so wise
my hame is down this way
ohm maybe not I can't see
everything is in triplicate
"Hey there Tommy help me hame
I can not seem to find it"
"Well, Jimmy my lad, dear me
you sure are a sad sight
Looking like you fell
landing in a dirty gutter
lets get you to your hame
afore ought else happens"
Staggering along together
they heard the bells ring
"ock, New Year, hells bells
the hen will be mad at me"
I promised I would be hame
afore the midnite hour
Jimmy, came a harsh call
get your backside in here
Hey, hen do not be mad
I brought Tommy hame
he helped me after I fell
pour us a round of drinks
Let us toast in the New Year
several drinks later
not a simple peep
just the odd snore and snort
hen scottish for partner or wife
hame scottish for home
midnite scottish for midnight
vietnam reflections 220
1st day 0500 hours...
we trod silently
unobserved
just inside the edge of the tree line
until we found an old tree scrub
whose branches brushed the earth
at the very edge of the clearing
this would be our observation point
for our time here
we immediately set about
bolstering our perimeter
with branches and foliage
making us invisible
from even five feet away
we had just four days
to find what we had to find and
to do what we had to do
we’re hoping the heavy rains will continue
and literally drown out errant noise
and help keep us concealed
we will rest by day
and venture out by night
with utmost care
sounds carry far across open fields
we communicate mostly with gestures and hand signals
2nd day 1500 hours...
we have observed increased activity in the opposite tree line approximately a half klick straight across from our position. about twenty individuals moving about freely.
we can see them
we can hear them
we can smell them
we must now be even more careful and observant.
3rd day 0700 hours...
their force has doubled overnight. they are making excursions into the open field sweeping the area 200 meters in front of their camp probing for mines and tripwires and searching the tree line for any sign of movement. these are NVA regulars, a highly trained and efficient force to contend with. we did not expect this.
3rd day 1100 hours...
the NVA have all moved back into the tree line with seven of their number spread out on perimeter guard. they still do not know we are here.
Line of inquiry:
“I am not the body, which is but dust
I am not fickle and limited mind
To whom then comes the feral thrust of lust
Or for that matter, thoughts loving and kind"
I am not just the body which is a husk,
Which will wither and rot in no time.
I am the kernel inside that sequesters life.
Neither am I a jumble of thoughts,
Emanating from my fickle mind.
I know my body is brittle and will turn to dust.
Like a clam in its protective shell,
My body is just an outer covering
Where my soul is securely fastened.
I am a triplicate of body, mind and soul
I am meant to become whole…
I must become whole.
From the crippling outrages of lust,
From the strangulating chains of ego,
That bind me, I must set myself free.
Perhaps this resolve has come to me,
From incorporeal intuition and insight which hover,
Unchained above the regions of reason
And the cravings of lust and greed.
When consumed by hatred’s fire and demeaning lust,
I shall strive to make something new out of me;
Something that will spark a ray of hope
A flicker bright, a beacon in troubled waters.
I will seek shelter under my Heavenly Father’s wings,
Where his loving kindness awaits
To fill hearts with bliss and peace.
Within human frame, there is a constant war,
Waged between satisfying transient emotions
And for attaining immortal bliss and grace.
One, the body presses, but the soul rejects
The other, the soul presses but the body rejects.
When hatred and jealousy sow their bitter seeds,
Compassion and kindness bloom in quiet deeds.
When hearts are filled with love and empathy,
Weary hours shall sink to blend with quiet peace,
And we will begin to think that heaven isn’t far away!
My mobile is a purple turtle. Made in Red China by brain dead slave labourers. It has some wonderful features. These include:
Free TV. Pull up the delicate aerial and away you go. Ten channels and no licence. See the latest MMA fight or KPOP music video.
The 0.3 megapixel camera is so lousy it's funny. See the blurred photos of times gone by. Go to video mode, it's the same. Film yourself cursing a turtle.
Try the internet. Wifi works a treat. Login to Facefuk and say Hi to your mates. When the server crashes, login again. And again and again and again and again.
Upload a photo to Facefuk, that works fine. Your photo is there in triplicate. Isn't one turtle enuff? No, there's three!
You need a SIM card to use the phone for calls. I don't use a local one but my English chip. I can use the free net then. I use my exosketch mobile for calls.
Before you go online, the purple turtle phone needs a brain. A 4 gig card gives plenty of memory to surf the net, login to Facefuk and check the news. Forget Yahoo mail.
This is my SKK E99 mobile. It cost 999 pesos and it a joy to behold. Who needs touch screen? I've some chunky QWERTY buttons that'll last a decade.
My cool purple turtle phone with a screen protector. I promise to look after it and keep it forever. No upgrade needed.
It was great for a time
Sex and wine
Wine and sex
Then commitment and open and shut curtains.
Special delivery of child made the bond complete
Six months down the line
Breastfeeding was action watched from a distance
Intimacy was a tired look
The neighbour's cat looked hot
Killed the lonely nights
Killed the commitment outright
Got to know the lawyer through rapid bank withdrawals
Weekly child visit watched over by Brutus
Bar visits watched over by the world's condemned
Special occasion became a twice-yearly treat
Birthday and Christmas, a bit of hate thrown sideways.
Then the new man.
Felt good for her.
Maybe some pressure off.
Maybe missed that lobotomy bar lecture.
Years dragged the hate forward.
Time moved on.
One day I wrote her a letter expressing my anger.
She wrote back in triplicate.
I wrote back in double triplicate.
She sent a thesis on men and asses.
Suddenly, without thinking, we had dialogue.
After a while, we moved on from the anger.
We became human again.
I actually liked writing her letters and receiving them.
We never got back together.
But the letters kept us close.
Sometimes there would be a kiss at the end.
The little bit of love I probably never deserved.
I would mention it to her in my next letter.
Even an ass deserves a solitary kiss now and again.
The bar-room lawyers would probably agree.
A pleasant sleep eludes her bed of stars.
Her crumpled sheets in twisted heap aloof.
The restless mind of mirth responds afar —
In moonlight serenade she scales the roof.
Arouse his sunlight glimpse of fleeting gown.
In tempest shines the greenest glow of eyes.
His busy hands are empty tools that drown
In longest days — he yearns to bid goodbye.
They bond at dusk and dawn where breath holds hands.
Godspeed In triplicate their spirit’s kiss.
Their eyes so tired — a desert full of sand.
The carbuncle-worn hearts adrift...amiss.
So soon, but not quite soon enough, he’ll land
To satisfy cooled sheets at love’s command.
I've your tub of salt
Stood in my kitchen
I hope you haven't
Gone out with a hot water bottle strapped to your chest
Cuz I love you, you're simply the best
Shall we open the curtains?
Let him in
Triplicate, sin, bin
Eternal life, choose Him, please so that he may see
What we see. Truth, love, free set me
took them to the breast
fed them with love…tenderness
joy in triplicate
they won’t remember kindness
so private and personal
with kids of their own
milk flows to their very bones
bare naked to wise
a grown woman’s pure pleasure
and a husband’s jealousy
Holly McGilly was mean and rude to her mother today
Justice, the old honest hen heard her and was blown away
I will make that rude teenager take her rude words away
She took Holly down in the barnyard that day
She clucked on her head and she spit on her chin, so soft.
She rolled her in pig manure, and knocked her glasses off
She tromped her with her talons and she pecked her with her beak.
The rooster knew better to call her off, so the animals did not speak.
Your mother is terrific, kind and wonderful, the hen said.
Next time you hurt her feelings, you are going to wind up dead.
Holly ran back to apologize in triplicate to her mother that day.
But the second she turned eighteen, she moved far far away.
