Milk Flows

took them to the breast
fed them with love…tenderness
joy in triplicate
they won’t remember kindness
so private and personal

with kids of their own
milk flows to their very bones
bare naked to wise
a grown woman’s pure pleasure
and a husband’s jealousy

A joy of motherhood and a lovely bonding experience. Thank you, all mothers, for sustaining the life of your little miracles. A father of three beautiful little miracles, myself. God bless them. Bill

What a great write. Something so natural is crucial to a baby's needs with love. Love the end bit. No milk today howusey. Well done. Pete.

I never thought I would breastfeed. It was actually a guy in the Navy who said something and I investigated. Many have trouble with milk flow. Glad you have a precious jewel to love. Blessing, dear one!

Interesting two tankas here... especially the last one.. the husband is jealous of the mum and children bond?

They can be jealous that they too can’t share the mammary bottle though they get over it as they don’t need to get up in the middle of the night. Of course, just a generalization. Breastfeeding moms do enjoy a time of great bonding during that time. Blessings :) All perspectives to ponder, dear one.
