The Bell House Tower

We saw a dim light upon top of the Bell House Tower
a scream echoed out and then a dark shadow slipped
by the light, in the midnight hour.

What was that? I asked my friend, I don't know
she said, but it sounded as if something has met
it's end.

The wind was blowing with such a strange howling
and all the city lights were off making it dark for
mysterious prowling.

A loud, maddening laughter rang through the air and
stood on our arms, every one of our hairs. We ran like
crazy down the alley way and never looked back until
the light of day.

The next morning a crowd had gathered at the Bell House
Tower and every one was shocked to see it was the bell
ringer who rung the bell, hour upon hour.

Not a sign made anyone sure of what happened, but we know
what we heard in the midnight hour, mad laughter from upon
top the Bell House Tower.

In a Tower Far Away

I wonder often what you think, or if you think at all,
of the time we shared together as the summer turned to fall.
I dream of your adventures, while I watch the passing day,
in a room of empty chairs, in a tower far away.

I wonder often what you know, of love that I cannot.
What lessons can you claim that wordless must be taught?
And even now I fantasize of games you surely play,
in a room of empty chairs, in a tower far away.

I wonder often what you felt, or did your heart not speak?
The power 'pon your lips made me strong and made me weak.
And even could I run to you, I think that I would stay,
in a room of empty chairs, in a tower far away.

The pain and loss are fading, my heart's more red than gray,
and soon your voice will echo, in memories far away.

The Crumbling of Ebonies Tower

Unable to somehow escape this castle of want

As an apparition endlessly roaming its corridores

From room to room and door to door; up and down its spiral staircase

Looking at the paintings upon the walls, of another era, gone by....

Desperately seeking something inside, of these bolted moments

Trapped within its confines of self imposed?

Fairytales of created desires; born upon the pages

Of the now, once upon a time....

Sitting in front of the Venetian vanities looking glass mirror

Lights aglow and brush in hand

As voices resound all about, within hushed tones

Whispering a myriad of marmoreal; which haunts her past

Eyes penetrating beyond these reflections; caught behind their closing gates

As a hand reaches out amid the darkness

Her once again trance, broken, by its gentle touch....

Rising from her Victorian armchair, to embrace, his offering of love

The prince of longings arrival ~

Adorned in the jewels of promises long ago written

Across the predestined of the parchments, blood red heart

Two souls colliding....

Crossing these barriers; to the always, of meant to be

Holding the magical key, to these chains that had bound her

Within the chambers of the castles walls; which only he, could ever unlock!

Beyond the balcony of never never lands, forbidden forest

Apparitions of dreams once dreamn't; sealed, forever, between the paragraphs....

As upon a white steed they ride, unto the sunrise, of happilies ever after ~

Into the awakened hand of fates, land of the enchanteds, "Love," forevermore!

Rapunzul- Stuck In Tower

It was some curse,
Locked in a tower all time,
Did I steal a purse?
Or did an unforgettable crime?

I paint the house like Van Gogh,
As I feel I'm going to shout,
I bake cookies and make bows,
But why can't I just go out?

I go to my room to dust,
As I use my broom to clean,
It's finally night where I see lanterns,
But why is it the day I turn eighteen?

I am just crying inside,
But now I'm reading medieval
Mother doesn't let me go outside,
But.....
Does that mean she's evil?

Premium Member The Water Tower

The water tower stands above the town and can be seen for miles around. It has a
ladder leading up to the base of the tank. This ladder has been climbed by countless
teenagers, for thrills and mischief and young kids answering a dare.

Over the years, many symbols and words have been painted on the tank. From
Highschool mascots, to hearts of love and proposals. Flowers and Holiday wishes
joined in.

It had always been one mans job to keep the water tank painted and to cover up
any impromptu artwork. He always took his time about it though. Making sure that
each message stayed up at least two weeks before he would paint over it.
One day he received a phone call. On the line was a little boy. This little boy asked
the man to please not paint over his message he had written on the tank, as it was
very important.

The man explained to the boy that it was his job to keep the tank painted and
clean. But, that he would leave his message up there, untouched, for two weeks. The
little boy, with tears in his voice said "Thank you, I hope it will be long enough".

The next day, as the man was driving past the water tank, he looked up. He saw no
message or pictures of any kind on that tank. He shrugged and assumed that the boy
had just been to scared to make the climb all the way to the top.

Three weeks later, the mans phone rings again. It was that same little boy. Very
excited, he proclaimed "Mister, I just wanted to thank you for not painting over my
message...It really worked!"

Intrigued, the man went to the tank with his paint and supplies. He climbed to the
top, set down his paint and brush. He walked around that tank several times and still
did not see a message. But, as he bent to pick up the paint can, there it was.
Towards the bottom of the tank, in crayon with a young child scroll was written:

"Dear God, pleeze let my daddy come home frum war I miss him
                                   Your frend Mike"

The years passed. Many drawings and words were painted over by one man and then
the other, as they took the job over. But never, the one small patch, with that heart
felt prayer.

Lying Tower

Lies...
stack them up like
foam blocks, all foamy—
or wooden blocks
be wooden

Higher, and higher,
piled on top of the other,
teetering

A foundation built on lies

Sky high, too high
one
last lie
to put on top,
one more lie
as white and light
as a feather

but it is enough
to let everything
topple over...

Tower of Babel

Tower of babel
falls pride crushed dust
scattered across the face
Of earth dull heads crumble
Who challenges Gods of the ice-bergs
Spilling thorns on sad milky way
Are we building tower ?
Let it crumble on heart.

(A New Zealand Poem)

In thought as I sit here, 747 flying by, in contrast to the isles of white clouds cruising eastwards across the Manukau sky yet another 747 passes by.
Tourists keep on coming, knowing nothing of the struggle within, local tribe just trying to stop those damned metal tanks from being dug in.

yesterday’s showers
glittered like diamond dew drops
beginning to fade

Today they enter the world of different race, one’s sentiment for the environment is taken, deep within the abyss of total despair, darkness descending upon the alleys of a lifetime tradition centuries old, with minds searching vigorously for reasons while veils of happiness entombed within a memory.

Ivory Tower

Existing, so removed, in your ivory tower
From high in your loft you wield your power

You weave your emotions like Rupunzel’s hair
dangling enticingly waiting to snare

Keeping your feelings locked behind bars
elusive and untouchable distant as the stars

Seemingly honest and raw and true
easy to trust what you say and do

Woven with steel emotions impenetrable
your victim will feel completely irreparable

You are always right, you never bleed
everything you do plants a calculated seed

Little by little the insecurities grow
eating away at what we think we know

Dare we not question our reality
thinking we know what’s apparent to see

You know what to say how to speak to a heart
your ego unchecked you execute your part

Perfectly played you’ve planted the guilt
how dare we believe what we think we have felt

Go away and come back do not let go
paralyzed with doubt insecurity will grow

Finally the escape before our soul is gone
entombed as it becomes in a deadly catacomb

The climb from this well is steep and so hard
but we leave this hell with emotions chard

The light will be warm and stinging at times
bright days grow longer we know we’ll be fine

Escaping the world of a narcissist
Is full of traps and emotional twists

Be strong and true to yourself and your goal
never again allowing that emotional control.

Premium Member Rainbow of Fun

I opened my love to a beautiful day,
In rain, in hail, and cold,
And my heart ran off, to your open arms,
To grasp, to nurture and hold,

With love on your pillars, reaching up high,
Above all the love in the town,
My heart, in your arms, played like a child,
Played with what it had found,

And that was a freedom for happy and fun,
Freedom to do what I do,
To be a red balloon in a cluster of black,
As I happily walk beside you,

Now, since our bubble of free is secure,
We can turn our colours up bright,
And we can become the rainbow of fun,
The beautiful rainbow at night.

Willingly Enslaved

Lock me in a tower,
tie me to the bed.
The secrets that
you whispered,
play inside my head.

Tell me
Again,
you want me.
Show me,
HAVE NO FEAR!

Please!!
I beg....
Touch me,
More!
Like that,
Right here.....

Somewhere far away
On a moonless night,
torture me,
endlessly....
I promise,
I'll pretend to fight....

Fine is the line
between pleasure
and pain.
Punish me
with ecstasy,
strip me of my shame....

Satisfy my dark desire.
I'm burning
deep inside...
Willing to be
enslaved by thee,
take all you want of mine.....

Premium Member Enchantment of a Tower

Carve not a tower enclosing your heart
Allow our breaths to play, let warmth prevail
Sabers fling across moors searching the grail;
While armor of conquest tears us apart.

Unload all hardened marble in a barrow
How far one’s dauntlessness, how near one’s pride
A hallway of song waits as laughter abides
When ripened moment calls for love to glow.

In silken cape, you enchant the regal court
Yet lonely the man commanding alone;
Instead, let us scurry where moonlight roams
With dewdrops on our lips as we cavort.

Harken, weigh not the power you behold
A jester amuses only for a while;
But splendor of oneness lasts to beguile
Come, nurture our castle before life folds.

Princess In a Tower

far far away
lives a girl with nothing left to
say

tears tumble down her pale
white cheeks
but they're are all getting used
to it
because she has been crying
for weeks

she only wanted one thing
it was a small diamond ring

the ring was to set on her
finger
and by her side
 a man to linger

her world soon proved
it wasnt so great
for they cast away
her one and only true soul
mate

their love was one that would
last
for forever
but now because of them
it would last for never

oh the pain!
 how it never changes
but stays the same

she feels so lost
 in a world so framiliar
she turns round and round
on this cold life less land

she wants to scream
and she wants to shout
but she she is haunted by that
shadow of dout

so she cries
and slowly kisses old happy
dreams
goodbye
