LIFE IS LIKE A MAYPOLE

Outstretch above are blue skies and golden sunshine
as train of threads is softly thug and braid to a pole.
Behold, this sky high pole of bright crayon colors,
they speak slowly about life in quite a number. . .

Sturdy wooden pole standing high and tall
is like a man endowed with wit and strength
The lengthy colored ribbons children install
are the shifting, rolling faces of life's events

Black as night sometimes dawn in life,
one maybe blue but not long, instead
do stand and chase rainbows on green belt bend.
Being a tickled pink to explore, never strife!

See, how the color red blush as it dance in the wind
so must we as we share love along kinship line
we aren't all born with a green finger
yet, each kindness touch, grin lingers!

Shed that yellow-bellied skin
to mingle without any charign.
Our life is given by God in silver plate.
Hence, let our daily goal be a red-letter day!

If we do, earth and sky may wed of rapport
like the ribbons together pulled and blend
by hands of dancing children that mend...
Raising the Maypole aloft with ribbon pour

so is a lived life despite black and blues decor.
As the threads slide smoothly in span of minutes
we, humans, must climb to reach our full limits.
The intertwining colors that fused, all roar

salad differences of man can be sorted, united to be one.
Screaming colors tickle lowly spirits' to fire
daring man to live before his body will retire. . .
Living life to the fullest before each setting sun!

The complexities of life colours our world
We are taken on a long and sometimes complicated journey
Like being on a roller coaster where there are many twists and turns
No day is ever the same - it can be a smooth or a bumpy ride
Thankfully we don’t know how and when it will end
We can wake up feeling sad and blue
Feel down and depressed on a grey day
If we are jealous we can be green with envy
Be described as yellow if we act with cowardice
See red when we are angry
Feel tickled pink or be in the pink when we are happy
Fall into a dark black mood
See everything in black and white
Say someone has a heart of gold
Look to the sky seek a cloud with a silver lining
We need to hang on to precious golden memories
None of us knows what fate has in store for us
May the colourful ribbons in our life be intertwined
The good days out-numbering the bad
Lots of happy colourful ones rather than sad

Premium Member Blushing Pink Rose Blossoms

Starlight tears awaken feelings
softly murmurs inside emotions glow
Gently petals touch Heaven's gate
Flowering blossoms beholding captivate
beautiful memories warmly they embrace

One dream rose forever sweetly grows
elegant silk weaves softly within the garden of life
always crowning heartbeats opening turns key
Daydreams lingering precious dewdrops glisten
in morning glory tickled pink

Sunrise sparkling satin
treasured horizons beam
Tenderness kisses deeply a vision
once held before these eyes
on fire apex of splendor burns
into fragrant breathless
whispering thoughts melting silently

The heart belongs to you
whom sits regally crowned
Upon the thorns standing out
a beaming beauty capturing charms spell
magic endearment
Lovingly a queen among'st flowers
sings in your praise majestically

Beautiful Rhyme

Behold! The beauty of a Beholder!
Sheltered from this world by a boulder

I'm tickled & pink to be her first and last
Sexiest girl in the world; smart, honest, and with class

Beautiful body and beautiful mind
My beautiful rhythm to my beautiful rhyme

Steady racing pace to my beating heart
She's finally here now ~ I don't ever want to be apart

Sinister ending to my seductive life
Finally I found her ~ my beautiful wife

Touching & tender my fingertips across her skin
Finally I found my Halo ~ I finally win!

Our bodies lying naked and intertwined
The places my fingers across your body find

The tiny curves that make up your angelic form
Are bubbling and creating inside of me a storm

A storm of Queen and the ways you need
Let me open your lungs and finally allow you to breathe

H Is For Happy

H is for Happy, a tickled pink smiley
A jam on a pancake, made of strawberry
to start-up a day
when you can just play
dress like a princess, and mom is the fairy.

H is for Happy, a birthday wish for you,
to feel in your heart, though everything is new
to laugh and then giggle
to dance and then jiggle
run, skip and wiggle like that day at the zoo.

Premium Member A Whole Week Color-Mania

Colors will always make my life happier,
They also make my whole world brighter
       What if there’s no color?
I think, I’ve no life galore
And I cannot make myself much prettier.

So, I’ve got a more fantastic idea,
To show everyone my color-mania
For Monday Luck, I wear red
From my feet to my head
Like a dragon of New Year in China.

Then comes the next day, it’s Tuesday
Keeping aura, I’ve color of sun ray
    Yellow dress and jewelries,
    They say, I’ve hepatitis
But, I don’t care no matter what they say.

Then comes the third day of the week,
More work are done making me weak
    To conceal my exhaustion
    Green color shows pretention
That my life and vigor are still at peak.

Thursday comes so perfectly great,
I wear purple , also my favorite
    Purple fingernails and lips,
Its on me up to the tips
And I get smiles from whoever I meet.

Friday, the last day of my office work,
On this day, rainbow color over perk
   I use multi-colored things,
   Feeling of joy they’ll bring
No one says I carry myself like a quirk.

Saturday and Sunday are weekends,
Still, work and activities never end
Two days, I’ll be all in pink
    People see me can’t wink
Tickled pink that I look so young my friend.

We Will Party Like Theres No Tomorrow

We Will Party Like Theres No Tomorrow

Weekend is here, there’s
Excitement in the air,

Well-wishers all about,
Illuminating lights of colors bright,
Literary elite ready for the night, riding in
Luxury limousines both black and white!

Premium Members, novice Poets and Guest,
All enjoying an evening without stress,
Reveling in the aura of the extravagant venue,
Their eyes quickly graze, the lavish menu, with
Yearning feeling of a night without an end!

Lapel Tuxedo’s, bow-tie intact, Lame’ Shawls, jewelry adorned,
Impeccable taste, impressive look, attire proudly worn!
Kudos received, astonished with dis-belief, for my expertise,
Elated by the recognition and honor of unexpected prestige!

Turntable spinning sounds throughout, during poetic interludes,
Heads nodding, fingers snapping, small talk and finger food!
Entree’ soup and salad consumed, now time for the main course,
Roast Pork, Chicken, Ham and Fish, with a vegetable medley of sorts!
Effervescent drinks of sparkling colors, bubbles that tickled pink,
Sweet potato and Pumpkin pie and German Chocolate cake!

Now it’s time to take a walk, onto the terrace for a view,
Of the beautiful night sky, glittered with stars and a lovely halo moon!

Tonight’s a first, never to forget, treasured memories we’ll hold onto,
Oktoberfest unlike the rest, no ghost, no goblins, no growls, no boos!
Music, dancing, fine food and beer, topped off with souvenir Stein,
On each table a picture lay, among autumn leaves entwined!
Rings of earths colors, brown, green, orange, red and yellow,
Reminds me of the beauty, within each unique fellow!
Oddly enough it is time to end, until next time, and,
We’ll party like there’s no tomorrow!

Miracle In My Womb

From some week
Nauseous I feel
Last month my period also ceased
I'd gone to Doctor
"You are preggy"
She congratulated me.
A sweet smile ran through my lips
Oh! I was tickled pink
But wait..
Is it any pleasantary?
I'm preggy? So funny it is.
I'm just seventeen
Having no boyfriend
Or any such relationship
Again, she checked
But this time, she was amazed
She ascertained my virginity
Also assured my pregnancy
Spiralled up from blank theory
She culminated "Miracle in my uterine cavity "

I went to the library
turned the pages of biology
Found the term Parthenogenesis
A process in which
Female egg converted into offspring
Without fertilizing it
But this was never seen in human
Maybe I'm the first one -I fathomed
It means I lost virginity in my brain
Which induces the secretion of hormone
& thus all other events made
But with whom? When? & Where?
Suddenly I saw my dreammachine
& everything got clear
That I purchased from the science fair
In which I uploaded, pics of shri Krishn
With whom I spent, my all nights in the Dream

Biologists regarded this
As Super parthenogenesis
After some months or more
I gave birth to a demigod
& my virtual husband is my lord

Premium Member She's Not Here

Whenever I am reorganizing and freeing up space in the garage, it's always just a matter of time before she'll come calling.
Or I'm on the computer writing or catching up on the news, it never fails that an urgent honey do was just about due.

She's been visiting relatives for the last two weeks. She's got two more weeks before she returns home to me.
More than expected, I felt her absence the very first week. Several times I have caught myself waiting to be interrupted.
Often I've had to readjust or reprogram my mind; "Home alone". I say to myself, "Oh wow, she's not here", and resume my activity.

In 45 years of marriage, we have never been separated this long. Realistically, for the first time, I am missing her in a whole new way.
In 45 years, I've never missed her this long, this much, this way. I'm niether bored nor lonely, because I always have plenty to do.

I have been gathering and eatting more tomatoes since she's been gone.
I suspect I'll be eatting crowder peas and zucchini before she gets home.
I wish she could have seen me gathering peaches and nectarines today.
I can't deny; I've eatten more ice cream than I should; but I'm not all bad.
Why, a couple of days ago, I made a very tasty peach/nectarine smoothie. I must confess; I just have to say; I kid you not; and believe me when I say.
I will welcome her return and not be sad when things return to normal. But I'm 'tickled pink' that since she's been gone, the phone hardly rings anymore!!

Self-Righteous Soliloquy

I’m very proud of my self-righteous stripes,
I’ve given more alms than you have my whole life
My self-flaggelations is more painful than anybody’s are
	I’m sure that in heaven,
my name is neon blinking on the brightest star
My wool is so much whiter than yours,
my spiritual requests goes higher towards heaven
off the faith prayer springboard
I’m just so much more righteous
than you’ll ever be
I know I have a VIP spot
reserved in heaven for me
I love talking to myself endlessly everyday,
	and I must say,
I give a mighty fine sermonizing soliloquy
My wool is so much more winter whiter than yours,
it lets my sins get cleansed faster
	than anybody else’s of course
I’m tickled pink,
I’m blue in the face pleased
that I’m not like that pitiful soul
mournfully standing afar off from me
			I’m no extortioner ...
		    I’m no adulterer ...
	I’m no sinful publican ...
I’m an upright, self-righteous God fearing man
Me just love praying to myself several times a day,
	it gives me goose bumps
hearing such a solemn, holier-than-thou soliloquy
No one can tell me
that my wool ain’t snow whiter than yours
Welcome to my self-righteous shrine,
may I give you another paid in crass tour?

Premium Member My New Form Is Being Used- I'M Tickled Pink,Tell Me What You Think

I’ve tried out a brand new form
It’s strange and not quite the norm
It’s been tried by two
Now how about you?
It’s honey, so start a swarm!!

Tried by R L and F J
Just let your pen find the way
To bring it some fame
Please join in the game
Try it…now what do you say?

Eileenesque sounds so divine
You need to try out your rhyme
Reverse the quatrain
No, it’s not a pain
Results can be quite sublime!

This is my one shot at fame
I know, it does sound so lame
Make my wish come true
Or I’ll just be blue
My life...will not be the same!!!

I want to thank Richard Lamoureux and F J Thomas for trying out my form. My poem…and the explanation of the form you will find under this title….Revenge’s Reward….Richard’s poem is Word Play….and F J Thomas’ Poem is Life’s Invincible Circle- Eileenesque! YES!!!! I had originally thought each stranza could have a mono-rhyme going on so it would be easier to make that fifth line that is tagged on to each quatrain “fit” but you can compare and contrast and give your own feedback. I’m just tickled pink that these two lovely friends and poets made my…..DAY…WEEK…and MONTH!

Housedress

Amid the sexy lingerie
The bride-to-be received,
There was a garment out of place,
Or so some folks believed.

It was a housedress from the past,
A little drab and faded,
In which the grandma of the bride
Once through her house paraded.

That grandma is no longer here,
But spoke up through that dress.
Her daughter and her grandchild
Felt her kvelling,** I would guess.

And though that shapeless schmatte*
Wasn’t bridal-like to wear,
It let us know that Grandma Ida
Had a presence there.

I love when past and present
Are connected with a link;
That housedress did its job and Ida
Would be tickled pink.

*an old piece of clothing or material
**bursting with joy and bragging about it

Premium Member The Sucky Couch

My couch is oh so Comfy. It’s true I wouldn’t lie.
And every time I sit there, I have trouble with my eyes.
No matter who is with me, or what I’m watching on TV….
It tends to drift right by me as I work hard, my eyes to see.
Unfortunately, they keep closing. No matter what I do.
And I have to watch a movie repeatedly, to finally see it thru.
I know I’m getting older. Of that I have no doubt.
That couch sucks me into its comfort, tho it’s a prize I treasure all-out.
So if you come to see me, expect the very worst…
But know I’d love to visit, if only I could stay alert…
My father came to visit at the age of 78…
We got along to perfection, with all the naps we both take each night…
I swear, I can fall asleep sitting up, or standing on my head.
My husband lays a blanket upon me, each night as he goes to bed.
Then finally I will wake up, about 2-3 AM…
Then it’s off to bed to finish what I started before then…
And then another nap at noon time, between writing poetry in a comfy chair…
There’s times I lose my poetry to my little snores there…
Then it’s back to working harder to try to write some more…
But that couch is so addictive, I doubt I’ll ever see my friends again…
And any where past 7 is really bad for me…
But don’t forget to visit, anyway…if you’re in the vicinity.
If you cannot wake me… just leave a note, you see…
And I’ll be really tickled pink… to know you remembered me, it’s true…
Even though I may not remember you…
