Answering the Serpent's Call

The serpent called her

And as if swans carried her light airy behind
She ran through the cooling blue vines of the garden

Into a jungle that puffed magenta steam clouds
Circumventing cawing crowds of warning green fowl

She wasn’t startled by the beast’s bright yellow face
Nor his elongated serpentine demeanor

In fact she formed a one-woman army of souls
That would one day inhabit her entire planet

She listened to his soft persuading elocute
And dreamed to appropriate her ghostly master

He entwined and penetrated her quiescent mind
Persuading and enticing with promised power

She became the trained monkey of the tempter
The first of millions that would soon go after her

Like a hungry macaque she climbed the great tree
In search of her creator’s forbidden construct

Reaching the golden fruited orb with heated breath
She plucked it without hesitation or regret

Racing through a luscious sea of green and amethyst
She finds her sleeping mate beneath a giant mushroom

She awakens him with an erotic purring
Her tantalizing womanhood nude for his taste

Drunken from her enveloping draining pleasure
He accepts her offer of golden fruited prize

As they greedily dinned the garden slowly died
And the master revoked their immortality

Clothed with wilting turquoise leaves to cover new guilt
They fled their luscious home for the valley of death

Never to return

~The Fallen Star~
(Free Verse)

I can't still believe that millions have fallen and fall for all those lies,
Yes, I am very aware that Satan's ways and bag of tricks, are too many, just to count
He's the greatest liar and traitor that ever has lived and sin has produced
Once, he'd it all but for greed and pride he betrayed his own Creator God

Satan never stops deceiving us all, I can tell you that
He's always on the move, roaming around the whole earth,
Seeking new souls to pervert and steer them stray and send away
Forever and ever from the Glorious Kingdom of God and its Creator

He accuse us all in front of God and sneers at us laughing when we sin
Satan is the great deceiver, hate us all and we should always send him away
When he tempted us he just knows how to push our buttons in the right way
This angel of perdition gives us the world but in the end we may lose our very souls

Satan's ways are just too much to pay for, what's the use of having it all here, if we lose our precious soul and eternity
In God's glorious kingdom that's Heaven, for you see, Satan the great deceiver of all, already knows that God has won!

I Come Too Far

I Come Too Far
Author Dana Redricks
February 09, 2015

I come too far to turn back now
The tempter comes to tempt, but
My God comes to deliver.
I can’t call my mother because she’s
In a heavenly home far away.
I can’t call on my daddy, because
He’s never really been there;
I can’t call on my friends because they
Are too far away.
Jesus is the only friend I can call on.
I can’t find deliverance in a bottle, or
A pill and only God knows how
I feel; sometimes the pain hurts me so
And I find it hard to breathe only God can
Give me air; he is not bound by distance,
Or time, or bound by the things of this world.
He is my redeemer my soul made refined.

Thanksgiving

To an immortal God, father of all, who
Has given me life thus far,
And has bestowed on me all that is beautiful and has kept
None of his promises from being fulfilled, I give thanks.
Knowledge of His love always awe me.
Safely He carries me on his eagle's wings, even when I
Go astray to have a taste of greenish thistle; but
In his mercy he waits for me to come back home.
Vainly, the tempter trying to hunt my soul for the
Immortal God is always my shield. Now I know
Nothing can touch me for I am the apple of His eyes. To this
Great God,marvelous and compassionate, I give all my thanks

It Cost Something To Follow Christ

It Cost Something To Follow Christ!

When Christ chose to die for us on the cross.
He knew what it meant. He knew what it cost.

When I chose to give my life 100% to him.
I knew that a new journey was about to begin.

It cost something to follow Jesus. It really does!
It begins to happen when we give him our love!

It cost giving up a life that I was living before!
It meant giving up many “pleasures” and much more!

It cost some of my friends, and many bad habits!
A new life in Christ... I want to have it!

Whatever it may have cost… I count all I’ve gained!
I’ve discovered the beauty there is in Jesus’ name!

I’ve found a new way of living that I never had.
I’m rejoicing in knowing Christ! I am so glad!

The tempter often comes and reminds me of my past.
I remind him that I have a life in Jesus that will always last!

I’m not perfect. I still have a long way to go!
But I have a peace and satisfaction within my soul!

I’m grateful to Christ. Words cannot fully express.
With him in my life... I am so blessed!

Whatever I lost... Whatever the cost… I count it all joy!
The principles of God’s word is
 what I seek to employ!

God is my shining light and is always around me!
I am so glad I know him and that he found me!

God I Need Your Help

God I Need Your Help

Sometimes I just need to sit back and relax.
No person can harm me if God is for me.
Thinking of this the other night after work
Felt I didn’t fit in with the younger group.
A little too slow didn’t have much in common.
I have need of money just can’t leave the job.
Have you ever felt this way I’m sure you have?
Put it aside but the thoughts were still bugging me.

Then began to surf on the internet on face book
There I came across this posted message.
If God is for us who can be against us.
It touched my heart and I began to think.
Yes, it’s in the word of God for I’ve read it before.
Simple enough to understand but so profound.
How can I let my spirit know that it’s not a lie?
The tempter tries to persuade me that this is not so.

Depression and discouragement seem to hold hands.
Tools that the demons use all the time to make me fear.
Wonder if my life is ever going to amount to much?
Do I focus on the problems instead of God’s provision?
Open my spiritual sight so that I can see you’re there for me.
Help me to give it all to you and not pick it up again.
I’ve read in your word that if I ask you will give me wisdom.
Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

Atheism Is a Kind of Drowning

Atheism is a kind of drowning
Gasping Hope, as gasping air
The breath I took was not of brine
But a breath of full Despair

A vessel, knowing no rust, nor wreck
Appears – from timeless Beyond
A Captain extends His hand – and shouts:
Come on! Come on!

Will you take the Captain’s hand?
And leave this storm-tossed sea?
Will you board His sterling craft?
To sail beautifully?

Or – will you cast away salvation’s hand
As the demons of horn-filled hell
And sink unto the darkened pit
Where the Tempter dwells?

A Word Addicts Rhyme

With so many wonderful words out there
of remarkable rhyming quality,
like harbinger, extraordinare’,
recompense, and soliloquy,
I find it hard to make a choice
betwixt effervescent and supine.
As to which of these appease me most
when I prepare to pen a rhyme.

Suddenly I’ll hear the call,
“Why must you have to choose,
one single word from among them all,
With so many great words to use?”
Divine bovine! What a fantastic idea!
an awesomely somniferous notion!
Somewhere out there could there really be a
Way to use all and not stir a commotion?

The tempter entices “go on grab a few
From this syllabically succulent fare
Blend them together like a pot of word stew
Just make sure they are each one quite rare.”
Consequently orates my old nemesis,
this word addicts worst foe to the pen.
Oh dear, what the heck! With an addiction like this,
I can’t wait to start over again!

Premium Member We Are the Christian Communicators

We are the Christian Communicators since
We are also all followers of our beloved Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. For it has become our primary role and
Our purpose of our earth bound lives. To spread
The redemption gospel of our wonderful Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ!

We are to spread the good news of the gospel of
Jesus Christ from shore to shore and from sea
To shining sea. From here and there and every
People need to know just how much He truly
Does care! They need to know His saving grace
Will deliver them from eternal death and disgrace!

People in our native lands as well as those of
Faraway foreign lands need to hear and to
Understand all about Jesus Christ. The Son
Of God and the Son of Man. But what they
Honestly need to know is that God is Love!

Once they know all about His sacrificial love He
Showed for them on Calvary's Cross. That He
Died and was buried and He rose again on the
Third day. Triumphant over death, hell and the
Grave! They surely need to know, that Satan
The tempter and the Devil, the deceiver is a
Defeated foe!

And because He rose again from the grave,
All of us will also rise again during the
Rapture of the body, the bride and the
Church of Jesus Christ. And so shall
We always be with our Lord God Almighty!

According to the Apostle Paul, "To be absent
From the body and to be present with the
Lord is far better." When we close our eyes
For the last time we shall pass from death
Unto everlasting life!

The second death has no power over us!
"Oh death where is your sting? Oh grave
Where is your victory?" We have been
Set free from death, hell and the grave!
We have been redeemed by the precious
Blood of the Lamb of God!

The Lamb of God, Jesus Christ takes away
The sins of the world and has mercy on us!
Jesus Christ took our place and died for
Us! "He gave His life what more could He
Give!" All because how much He loved
All of His special children!

In Christ's Holy Name!

Don'T Give Up On God

Have you ever felt life giving in to life's trials
Jesus gave his life, he died on the cross
Have you ever felt like giving up facing Satan's wiles
God gave his only son, for your gain in his loss

Have you ever felt like temptation was too much to bear
Well Jesus faced the tempter but he never gave in
Have you ever felt like it was hard to escape Satan's snare
Jesus used the word in the wilderness & he did win

Whilst we are still on this earth, Satan will never stop tempting
But that doesn't mean you have to stop believing
"Call unto me", God is saying
Get on your knees and start praying

Count it all joy when you face various trials
This is all done to test your belief
Pray to God and stand the devil's wiles
And you will conquer and go to heaven where there's joyous relief.

Mariah of Magdala

Part III: Judgement

Mariah of Magdala
Here comes that day
You can never get to escape
They have fought amongst themselves
They have recognized their problem
They are planning to rest the crisis
They are fighting not anymore
So the plot is gaining success.
You will not see it this time with your sharp edge eyes
For your iniquities are choking your thought
Your verdict is successful
Your life must cease existence
They have clearly prepared for the ritual
Tradition demands

Oh! Mariah of Magdala,
Your soft spirit made your innocence loud
The mockery of your womanhood
Have chaste, demanding your holiness
Like the Samaritan woman,
You hid, not to be seen or heard
In isolation, the tempter came
It came running from the chase fire
It came crawling not to be identified
It came flying not to be visible
like a swift soft wind,
It attacked your heels
Adder leaving its evidence
Setting your red wild bouquet
Sulphur burning furnace of truth
Plain is the truth in eyesight
Imprisoned the truth has got you
Its bitter taste you can now detested it
Truth pierces like a dagger in your heart
Truth has brought your knees to kiss the earth
Today you run not from the truth
Where on universe can you hide?

Premium Member Autumn's Slumber

In the fall, when leaves tremble
Then dance away, past the unmarked graves
Dead flowers covered by autumn,
Harvest time has fled into the past
Where it will remember no more the tender
Touch of a rose petal, charming the summer
Caressing June with its innocence,
Kissing July, then August – tempting
Like the cool creek to feet too young to know
That summer will fool you with its breathless
Pouring out of affections too beautiful
To dream of, blessings too wonderful
To wait on…

In the fall, when the leaves dance
Reflecting all the hues of nature’s happy
Rest, quivering with a beautiful
Far more reflective, more perfected
Than the tenderness of summer,
When winds stilled the moments and
Glistened in the dewdrop rhythms,
Solace for the heartbeat, stilling the ache
Beneath the surface of glittering
Starlight moments when the night murmurs
Vain, like the summer who knows
Autumn is merely the tempter, inviting
Souls to hear the hope winding its way through
A dark night, erasing the moon
When morning shines vibrant through the
Laughing leaves who sing in the breeze,
Waltzing like silence, breathing
Vibrant sprays of grace as it waves goodbye
To summer…

In the fall, I call to broken feelings,
Past dreams and blessings,
Arrayed in multihued reflections
Graceful, yet stunning
Sharpening the cries of a dark moon
In the nighttime, reassuring
Hearts soothed by the stardust
Embers, compassion growing from
The intimate sounds of a harvest
Who will fade into the frosty
Feelings who flow like the memory,
Cooling yesterday, freezing
In echoes of what will soon bring
Snowflakes, flurries illuminating
Peace… quiet like the honor
Bound up in humility – waiting
For the opportunity to stir fires
Warming the truth with its honesty

In the fall, I remember and I expect
My hopes to become reality –
Gliding carefully through the abundance
Breathing peace like no other, peace
Only found in autumn’s slumber

I Write the Words

I have written fairy tales
And of babies in a mothers womb.
Even written about the tempter.
And the Bibles coming doom.

Wrote about a mountain top,
Where I almost touched the sky.
Wrote about how I lost my son,
With many a teardrops in my eye.

Even wrote about my dog.
Used to sit here by my side.
Wrote about love's I've lost.
And a yellow rose that died.

Then a lady in a cowboy hat,
How she really turned my head.
Really thought I loved her.
Should have stayed at home instead.

Wrote about ones eloquence.
And the way she could excite.
How her breast of alabaster
Did keep me up all night.

Wrote about a dress once worn.
It was periwinkle blue.
Just how sad I really was,
When knowing we were through .

Wrote about my Unicorn.
Yes, his name was Dream.
Took me over rainbows.
We did make quite a team.

Wrote how I slayed the dragons.
Some say, I was the very best.
Even when so deep inside,
I laid them all to rest.

Yes once I was a Knight,
Shiny armor I did bear.
Tempter got the best of me
Now tarnished armor I do wear.

Yes, all the words I write
Come right here from my heart.
I do so hope they touch you.
That's the most important part.

I really want to thank you all
For reading what I write.
Without your words of kindness
There would be no Tarnished Knight
