Premium Member Stars Tempt Our Senses

It was time to visit the stars
To embrace them with my senses
Though the price was astronomic
I saved up for the expenses

Most think stars are unreachable
Due to the heat that they emit
But perhaps they’re very cautious
Just like a candle barely lit

To my delight way out in space
I manned microphones to listen
And those astral bodies obliged
With unheard of stellar hissin’

Yet as I approached a star’s sphere
After flying the cosmic trades
The brightness was so intense, that
I had to double up my shades

And I can describe what I saw:
Just imagine a sunrise view
As seen, not through a broad window
But rather in the room with you

So no doubt that shine would lead one
To coming to the conclusion
That stars are inhospitable
But my suit was safe for fusion

I attempted smelling their scent
But was honestly not impressed
As the smell was like burnt popcorn
Which is an odor I detest

I couldn’t say that star was burnt
For that flawed logic is misplaced
Yet that stench made me hesitate
To give a roasted star a taste

Sure it twinkles in the dark sky
Like a sugary cosmic treat
But just like mentioning candy
It would probably wreck my teeth

Lastly, touching a star is like
A swimming pool in the hot sun
With those spots of warmer water
Times a million degrees, plus one

Visiting the cosmos was worth
Having stars arouse my senses
Yet it isn’t for everyone
And comes with some consequences

But don’t you take my word for it
When you are traveling in space
Since stars are an acquired love
To be approached at your own pace

The Power of God

The power of God is a wonderful thing
Makes one man leap the other to sing
God brings joy in abundance too
Singing and dancing and healing virtue

The precious Holy Spirit will be your guide
The Spirit of truth speaks quietly inside
Teaching you about the Lord Jesus Christ
Revealing to you good spiritual advice

God wants your soul to really prosper
In every area, so reject the imposter
He’s given you the anointing to succeed
He’s says take my word and just prove me

He would never let his child down
So put on your armour and stand your ground
And tell the devil that he won’t win
I belong to God and he took my sin

To know the Lord is to be blessed
But don’t forget the trials and tests
God makes sure you’re true to Him
With little tests we learn to swim

When we’ve learnt to trust in Him
God trusts us with bigger things
So speak His word with boldness now
And praise God for the victory, wow!

Open Your Eyes

"Open Your Eyes"
by: Eric L. Boddie

In my quest to find the Light
I found so many things hidden in plain sight
A simple question of why is what I asked of Christ
He Said "He Who Searches For Me Will Be Found By Him Who Denies Life
But He Is Already Defeated By The Power Of My Blood"
At that very moment, I truly understood that Love won't drag you through the mud
So many speak of Christ, The Greatest Sacrifice There Ever Was
And then they turn around and do exactly as satan does
What if a known terrorist wanted to Worship with you and yours
Would you welcome him in or intentionally close the doors
Maybe the reason they are terrorists is perhaps no one ever showed them Love
Obviously they fell to satan, but anything can be Forgiven As Long As Time Is Still Granted From Above
Why do so many need last suppers when the Word Says you never need to see His Face
Faith Is The Blindest Light That Can Brighten Any Space
We can have more than we need, but still, we want more
Have we really forgotten what an abundance is truly for
When did sharing become a crime, what if you were in need
So many have lost everything on their journeys to greed
And I really don't care what you believe, I am just telling you the Truth
But don't take my word for it, Sincerely Ask God, He Will Provide All The Needed Proof

'my Unfillable Shoes'

I have one simple question for you.
If you could, would you walk in my shoes?
For one minute, hour, day, month, or year?
But you can’t I fear.
Even if you wanted to, or I made you.
I’m afraid that request will never come true.
All I can do is explain.
And hope you don’t think it’s a lie…or in vain.
But here, I’ll try to explain.
Every day I see mostly blur.
Walk around totally unsure.
Of where things are around me.
Yes I can see.
The flowers, the trees.
I am blessed, and grateful.
I remain faithful.
But the depth, the distance isn’t there.
No matter how much I squint or stare.
But I do what I can, and get by.
No matter what I always try.
But this is just a part.
A start.
Of what I go through.
All I can do is tell you.
I can’t show you.
Or cause you.
To go through it.
So you have to take my word for it.
Every day I wake up.
Most days I feel messed up.
I walk around in a haze.
As if I’m trying to get through a maze.
My head, my leg, is always in pain.
Most people would go insane.
But I deal with it.
I get through it.
The medicine only makes me sicker.
Instead of healing me quicker.
With epilepsy.
You see.
There is always a risk of dying.
But I push on, keep trying.
I keep a smile on my face.
But it gets erased.
When I am accused.
Of this being what I choose.
Or that it’s not real.
You will never know what I feel.
But I tell you now.
I would never wish this on you anyhow.
I would never want or ask of you.
To ever have to walk in my shoes.
Not for a minute, hour, day, or year.
I would rather save you from the tears.
From the pain.
That I go through again and again.
Every day.
All I ask, all I need, for you to say.
Is I believe you, take my hand, it’ll be okay.

The Silent Contest Shatters- a Collaboration With Brenda Chiri

In my emptiness there is a silence
that shatters my thoughts into fragments.
When I reach for you, it is hopeless.

Lost in the morning sunlight
take my word sang on chord
no lies held as you hold me

No words needed for this shared
Letting go of all the past, as
I breathe in your strength.

Without the weight of waking
alone in the contest for a soul
your words hide the poison

A realm within the board where
passion awaits a winner on one
end to be the giver for the group

No contest posted in the morning
make up to be told in the same way
manners are what kept the fire hot

Like a butterfly without wings. Love, lost,
vapor dreams, chronic nostalgia turning
in my grave of buried sorrows and regret

An Unwitting Subject

Have you ever considered
the many cases
where family albums
show strangers' faces?

Some of those faces
may well be your own
standing off in the background
apart and unknown

But don't take my word for it
See for yourself
Your album of strangers
is up on your shelf

There's your concert photo
with your best friend Zack
But who are those people
hanging 'round in the back?

You have no idea
and neither does he
But there they all are
for your family to see

I'm sure you have others
but one is enough
in proving my point
which you cannot rebuff

Imagine that maybe
in some obscure book
on a library shelf
where people will look

You've made an appearance
in a photograph there
and many have seen you
while you're unaware

Just an unwitting subject
in the camera's eye
captured forever
as you happened by

Out there in the world
I'm willing to bet
somewhere there's a family
perhaps in Tibet

Viewing their photos
of trips from afar
and they're wondering just
who the heck you are

You're standing right there
in plain sight of all
right next to their grandmother
Ling from Nepal

You took the same photo
with your companion
near Ling and her family
at The Grand Canyon

They're here in our pictures
as we are in theirs
All over the world
we're caught unawares

So, why do I ponder
this subject so deep?
Oh no reason really
I just couldn't sleep

Do the Math

You can minus the clothes
Divide the legs
Add in a bed;
Get a VCT so diseases aren’t spread
Use a rubber just incase
You multiply; and he breaks your heart like a vase

but don’t take my word for it;
DO THE MATH
Use a calculator
She says,
She’s got a perfect figure so guys try to measure
They try to calculate her
They wish to divide her heart and never leave a remainder
I whispered in her ear and told her
Don’t let a fraction in, cause bad boys will ditch you and then
COCK-YOU-LATER.

The Bus Driver

Will you ride with me on this bus?
I promise the trip is in no rush
For the driver is careful and gentle
He will forbid danger to meddle

Will you ride with me on this bus?
Comforting and void of all the fuss
Guaranteed seat for you to take
Well designed for passenger's sake

Take a ride with me now on this bus
In a condition you can't make a refund
For the fare is free for all destinations
Welcome to people of every nation

Ride with me now on this bus
Take my word, we are in good hands
For the One above is our careful driver
Driving our lives so we may not suffer

Gender Bender

Is it really anyone’s business
What about this gender thing
Does it pertain to likeness
Does it even mean a thing

If you’re intimate it matters
But that’s your business too
Everybody wants to know
Are they intimate with you

Your boss, your government
Why do they even care
They always want to know
What you’re packing under there

On a job application …
Isn’t that discrimination?
Why do they want that information?
Is the job fornication?

A little box is labeled gender
No, I usually just say
And when it’s labeled sex
I answer anyway

Sometimes I say seldom
Or … refer to marital status
Twice on Sundays
Or … never just for gratis

Well, come on now, really
What do they expect?
Will they take my word for it?
Are they going to check?

Punxy Phil I Am

Here I am in my dear homeplace.
Amidst the cheer and chatter.
I see such hope on every face
as they yank me out with a clatter.

A chamomile tea would suit me well.
So hurry off my good man.
Tis' nearly time that I foretell
as only Punxy can.

So many folks from near and far
have come to hear my prediction.
Like wishing on a falling star
they all eat up this fiction!

All these humans take my word
and watch my fetching shadow.
To me it's bordering on absurd;
just a showman born to wow!

Tomorrow

Do you know a man called”Tomorrow”?
I don’t,
not even the astrologers.
He mingles in silence’
A question, to every person he meets.
He smiles, he weeps as we do,
For every other thing.

Yes I had met him, today as I walked.
He was young and handsome,
An incarnation of darkness,
Well, do you know the question he asks,
Take my word…………as I do not,
if till tomorrow I will last.

Signing up for philosophy 101

Hi I'm here to sign up for the philosophy course

Why?

Because I have many unanswered questions!

Like what?

What is the meaning of life?

What is life?

I don't know, that's why I'm here

But...are you really here?

I don't know I think so!

What is the proof of your existence?

I have a birth certificate, a Photo ID
.
ok ok How do I know this is you and not your parallel you from another
parallel universe?

You have to take my word for it!

ok

So how much for the course?

$500 cash only

I don't have cash, I have debit card only

No debit, this is Philosophy school, we only believe in what we see

invisible money is not money!

ok I will have to go to the bank and come back do you have time?

What is time?

It's 5:30pm

no, not what time is it, what is time?

I don't know, that's why I want to take the courseto answer all my questions
Speaking of time what time do classes start?

7am

That's really early isn't it?

Not really, it's all relative...there are no absolutes...there is no correct answer
it's all true if you believe it!

so I can come at 8am then?

No! absolutely not, classes start 7am sharp!

So then what can I expect to learn about God?

We don't believe in God, God only exists in the minds of the weak. We only believe in what we see.

Ok then ...what about wi fi?

what about it? Do you have it?

Of course we have the highest technology here!

How can you have wi fi if you just said you don't believe in what you can't see?
you can't see it, yet it exists how is that possible?
(Silence)...

Can I bring my notebook?

yes and bring a pen too!

no...I mean my computer

Of course, of course, bring your computer

ok (5 minutes later)

So I'm back with the cash...here's your $500.00

Thank you

Wait a minute! How do you know that's real money?

We have a counterfeit detection system to identify false bills.

You know what! I have a built in counterfeit wisdom detection system
it's called common sense! I changed my mind, I want my money back!

What money? What is money?

My $500.00

Who are you? Do you really exist? Do I exist? Does money exist?

I'm calling the police, tell it to the judge!

New Moon

New York's brighter than any other state, country, or capital.
Please take my word
                   on
it, but please be warned - I don't know what "it" is.
I see the lights and I think I'm
                   on
the sun - just chilling and recharging my juice.
I'm no energizer bunny, but any time I see New York I feel like everything has to flow.
Bright lights even when the cameras flash,
                   on
second thought, they're even bright when you turn the light off.
I don't represent, but I'm
                   on
the balcony taking in the fresh air and the lights remind me of last year.
I'm different in a sense, like I'm
                   on
a UFO - getting ready to take over my inconsistent life like a New Moon.

Monsanto Monsanto

Monsanto Monsanto
How are thou so evil
Turning lab chemicals into food
Your process will poison the weasel

Parents please look out
For your kids and when there's doubt
Don't buy chemically enhanced food
Pay the money for good grub
And stop that pout

You'll enjoy benefits like
Less medical visits
Allowing time for fun days and trips.
Eating good organic carrots
With some tasty ranch dip

Don't take my word for it
Read about Monsanto
The more you know the better
You might make it past tomorrow

Do We Sleep To Dream Or To Forget

Do We Sleep to Dream or to Forget

Do we sleep to dream or to forget is the question I get asked a lot from my clients
Whom I council, for you see I am an unlicensed psychologist but a sarcastic psychologist at that. (Don’t tell anyone is my only disclaimer). Anyway, to answer your question about sleep, I always thought sleeping it was something everyone did like a natural reflex to shut down and detach from all the repetitive bull-crap they experienced throughout their day. I mean come on! Lets face the facts we all need to sleep even if you don’t have a bed to sleep on or in what ever never mind I said that back to the question.
I would say to the best of my knowledge and understanding that’s a common fact that not only do we dream to sleep, ah; umm I mean sleep to dream but we also sleep to forget as in that house party you had when your parents were on vacation.
Or that break up from that psychotic ex-girlfriend who was half stacker and half bipolar activist always coming up with reasons to monitor your every move. Like your work schedule, classmates, on the attendance, mid-terms, final exams and every phone number in the your contacts list in your phone, plus the number of followers and friends you have on ever social media site in existence. Or that time you and your friends got into a nightclub with fake ID’s that were poorly made and ended up getting so drunk that you forgot your own name.
So there you have it folks I would say yes we do sleep to not only dream but to forget. But don’t take my word for it no seriously don’t because you are dreaming and I am just a random voice in your head and you are most likely tripped out somewhere thinking to a licensed therapist but you’re not.

Your hangover will begin in 3,2,1 Wake up!!
