Best Swirly Poems
I was a fool.
I was a fool searching for reasons why.
Reasons why I
Grin with sudden boy giggles
As if Karma was my DJ,
Playing cotton candy woven riffs
Of rhythmic whispers
Evermore
Everlong
I savor dark chocolate Peanut M&Ms
Tasting her sincerity
With each Pacific Ocean observance
Her dialect portrays within
My sunset smiles
I was a fool.
A slightly nervous kid
At his first Sadie Hawkins dance
Holding a paper cup
filled with swirly colored punch...
...not spiked
;-)
Futile attempts to stifle these vibrating legs
From crippling my exhaling urges
I was a fool.
Searching for irreplaceable reasons
Why my smiles became
An 11 year old innocence
I smile.
I blush.
I embrace a new dream
Written on embossed bucket list
To hold her
To hold her
To hold her
towards sunrises’ incipience
One day
With no reasons why
Simply
Because

Chef 's Winter dishes are simply delicious, not too much oil or cream.
Rich or plain, taste tested to perfection, tiny portions sometimes steamed
He starts the day with freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee and toast.
And embarks on a fitness journey along the seaside in Adelaide.
Today he is going to create a seafood bisque inspired by his walk.
This morning whilst walking along the beach he noticed the outgoing
Tide and outlet left a long groove with definite honeycombe indentations
snaking parallel to the shore for a distance near a giant swirly starfish.
From an aerial perspective it looked like a Christo dragon , hardened ripples
representing the scales and the sometimes swirling patterns here and there
where the giant Sea-dragon moved, slithered or shifted about in the sand .
The Sea-Dragon must have laid there for some time before he disappeared
as his scales were deeply impressed and clearly embossed in the firm sand.
A clear body of water flowed in the center of this outlet echoing the scales
shimmering and gleaming with sunlight smoothly on the groove's surface.
Upon seeing this ,Chef etched it in his memory and began to mentally gather
ingredients for his creation. How could he give his bisque the dragon flavour?
Grilling the whiting, prawns and scallops with butter laced with honey , chilli,
cardamon + crushed nuts , garlic, a dash of brandy.......
then adding chicken stock , lime , thyme ,cracked pepper , rock sea salt and
finally pureeing the lot with a splash of coconut milk.

Sometimes
life should be about
nothing more than
swirly upside down rides
and blue cotton candy
for in the end
pasts can’t be taken back
only relived
and the truth is
I’d rather live
happily
with my blue tongue
than die
with the past’s
bitter taste
on my lips.

She once said
on a stormy night
before the first drop of rain graced tongues:
"Passion is overrated. It's out of style"
The crack of clouds blew grey into her face at that moment.
Umbrellas turned their skin inside out
The surf tasted it's own salt and spat it out in disgust
The black beyond broke rain capsules and sang in thunderous laughter.
Passion.
Lost?
Misplaced?
Nonessential??
We caught her up in our raincoats and hurried her into the nearest cafe.
Three hot coffees and her chattering lips.
Steam in swirly rings 'round her fingers as she shook.
As she cried.
Passion swarmed out of her words and caught the cafe on fire
It burned while we sat there
Peeling paint and freezing fingers
Raining sky in midnight's palm
We listened as she brought up memories
All ignited, having slept long past deadlines of ardor.
We cried with her in conundrum dreams
and kept the burnt out structure erect by our finger tips to scaffold.
A woman grieving should not be disturbed.
Suddenly, her words made sense.
The sky cleared
Her eyes swallowed their blue and returned the ocean to it's salt
We held hands, stretched across a cherry red booth reflecting every broken capillary in her gaze.
Sisters united in empathy's grasp
a circle of an undivided enclave
We stepped over the ashes of her memories
and walked her home despite her obstinate refusal for one of us to stay over.
Count down to 3am
and the petunias lining her front walk
kissed her ankles with the thanks of rain
She smiled and passionately picked the velvet purple
and placed it in our palms.
We saw the full spectrum of rainbows and heartaches
and growling thunder on the verge of lost adherence to love
all on her face in one evening
That night, she went home alone, to sleep on her side of the bed
with the shivering almost subsiding into the faintest scent of brewing hope.

Why does the swirly train of dancing spirits speak to me,
on nights when my voice grows weary?
Where does the pain of breathing lay?
I, the fever that holds strength and weakness in one bone,
shadow and light carving chaos onto hidden stones.
Tonight, I watch the swelling spirit speak,
in foreign neon lights possessing my need for sleep,
grasping onto this pair of lungs and rewriting heavenly dreams.
What does my blood know of the sky of fireflies,
glazed in colors of green,
when all the blues I’ve bled were left in a cerulean sea?
I’ve watched living pieces wilt on thriving trees,
yet the moon weeps for a thread of water
to fall on a silvery breeze.
Would you wonder where the earth would kiss me first,
soon after I rest six feet under its warm embrace?
When the limbs of the sun can no longer crawl
their way up my winding waist,
will your fire mutate through the silent soils?
Do the sins on your skin ache to speak of my heart,
while healing was never my piece of art?
So do as you must—if the clouds aren’t what the stars desire,
the waves will weave the clutter you conspire.

The morning sky drips of
spiraling particles of shattered
spinning, roaming tears
dew drips from the eyes of
the Gypsy clouds in the
skies.
Harmonic sighs weave the
song of centuries told
of the travelers of the sky.
Trellis of puffed swirly
cotton candy billow
pillows floating by.
Star jutted pockets
gathered the flow
and the stair case of
heaven shadow steps
of a wild rhythmic dance.
Violin strings and
tambourine beats
hush you can see
and feel her presence
so near.
In the sunbeam
that broke through
the skies into this new
morning dressing the
earth in her wild
roaming cries.
Thick rich honey
notes of dew of particles of
shattered crystalline
tears she waters the
morning in her spirit
she floats away
in serene silence.
A gypsy rose of such
velvet petal beauty
her heart roams
in the skies
up high.

Oh no theres something alien in my stomach
something which want's very badly to come up
it's 4:30 in the morning and I feel very queasy
as I slide out of bed feeling quite uneasy
Was it something I chewed…right now I haven't a clue...
Making it to the latrine I put up the lid
psyching myself up as I get a grip
feeling like Mount Vesuvius about to erupt
and like that girl from the Exorcist as I empty my gut
I'm a hurly girly…giving my ufos a swirly…
As I slide back into bed I have a trusty pail
just in case I have to vomit again with the wind force of a gale
surprisingly I don't but still feel quite sick
so I call into work and explain to them very quick
My stomach is in knots and twists…would someone please call me an exorcist...
Then later my son say's Mom you look so pale
and goes out and buys me some Verner's ginger ale
I take a couple of sips and think maybe this will do the trick
but then about an hour later the vomiting doesn't quit
I need to be quarantined…very close to the latrine...
Alternating between the volcano eruptions and number two
I felt like a very sick zombie with an unkempt hairdo
wondering if it was something toxic that I had ate
I think maybe I should write my will out before its too late
My toilet and I have now formed a lasting bond…an inanimate object which I've grown quite fond...
But here it is the next morn and I ate some breakfast
hoping that it will stay in my stomach and last
I guess what I had was a 24 hour bout of the flu
glad its over now as I bid the stomach flu adieu.
I'm so glad we're through flu…oh no…..A…a..a-choo!!!

Sun bronzes my wings
As I flutter in the wind
Drinking the nectar of flowers
Chasing lovers
in skies bright or grim
Dancing on clouds swirly white
Softly I sing of natures right
To love all other breathing things
A God who says different
Is a serpent who sins

Dude, guess what?
Yesterday, I got to go through my dad’s dealership
and pick out a sweet ride for my 16th birthday!
It’s a convertible, dude
It’s a hot rod, dude
It’s red, dude
It’s a hot, hot rod
And it’s got chrome-covered wheels!
Wait until the guys get a load of this!
Dude, this weekend, wanna go get drunk?
Ah! Dude! I totally saw my wellness teacher
at the Rush yesterday! She was
benching more than half the football team!
I could totally take her though!
I’m not going to let a woman tell me what to do!
Dude, I better retake the ACT this Saturday
I totally need a 16 to play on the football team
at Northwestern Kentucky State Community College!
Remind me not to drink too much after the game!
And we’re totally gonna smoke Blount County! Huh! Huh! Huh!
Dude, this guy totally looked at me funny
in the bathroom between classes! Man, we gave him the
hugest swirly! You shoulda been there!
Dude, I got practice after school today
but afterwards, you wanna go roll that ***** in Bio class?
Whaddya say?

Dragontails never ask why
Spiky fronds so scaly
Oh My – Oh My
Lurking shady and shaly
In the dark unfurls
Spiky fronds so scaly
Swirly ferns and curls
Deep greenish and purplish
In the dark unfurls
Close your eyes to make a wish
Wild whirls ever so rare
Deep greenish and purplish
Without a whisper or a care
Bizarre long and curly avails
Wild whirls ever so rare
Whimsically curtails
Dragontails never ask why
Dreamy magical dragon tales
Oh My – Oh My

As I look down from here
I feel like I am falling
That is when I realize
It’s you my friend calling
I go out on a limb
To gather my harvest
I must make it through
Winter is the hardest
I have to climb up higher
To reach the best crop
But you my old friend
Always cause me to stop
I know you’re always with me
So I'm begging for your help
But I am still afraid
I’m just talking to myself
It’s starting to get colder
This summer was no fun
I have to get more food
Before this season's done
I’ll ask you once again
And face you with courage
Please leave me alone
While I put food in storage
I can hear you laughing
You think I’m just squirrely
I go through this each year
This fear makes my head swirly
I’ll go out a little more
I won’t look down, I'm fine
My friend you can’t go with me
I’m running out of time

Confessions of a Swirly Straw
The Swirly Straw said to the Clear Cola
“I don’t mean to pry
but I’m tired of getting double teamed
Like some harlot in a trashy movie
If I wanted so many ménage a trios’
I would have wished to be a **** star
Or possibly a prostitute
And even if I were born Jenna Jameson, Francesca Le, or Kobe Tai
I would have chosen a different occupation
Yes, it’s true I was Cleopatra in a past life
And perhaps I was the infamous Jezebel also
And perhaps I enjoy the physical act of sex
A little too much
But there is something very unsettling
about my top being tongued and sucked on
while a river of sticky sweet liquid
Is shot up my bottom
twisting and turning
through my body like a shivering ******
And besides your effervescing bubbles
are tickling me in all the wrong spots
So the next time
this anonymous person puts his lips to me
make yourself scarce and get out of my way
or mark my words
you’ll pay
energy has a funny way
of coming back to you
and reimbursing the guilty
for all the things they do.”
Confessions of Clear Cola
The Clear Cola said to the Swirly Straw
“My love I know you don’t recognize me
We sometimes don’t identify everything we see
But we keep on meeting again and again
Why just last year, I was the ink and you the pen
I flow through your veins like a fish in the sea
Do you remember my love? It is I Antony
In each life we meet, and I swim inside you
Sometimes I am blood, once I was the drink Yoo-hoo
And another thing
I’m pretty sure of is
That anonymous person putting his lips to you
is Caesar from Rome
In most lifetimes he comes to devour me
Like a rabid dog with his mouth filled with foam
He is my nemesis,
My demise,
The reason I die
But one of these lives
He is going to get, an Eye for an Eye
I’ve waited thousands of years,
And if I have to,
I’ll wait more
For just one chance
To settle the score
Et tu Caesar?
Well I can’t rightly say
But I promise you Caesar
You’ll rue the day.”

Poetic Lyrics By Thomas Lam Hsi
THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUE GOD...THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY...WHO ALONE CAN
SAVE FROM Satan...who plays 'all' roles...the devil...the 'Lord Jesus'...
the 'Father'...the 'Holy Spirit'...all 'Other Gods'...and 'alien gods'...HE...THE
LORD JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF IS FULLY GOD AND MAN...AND HE ALONE...
IS THE ONLY WAY TO GOD THE FATHER...and to an Actual Heaven!
Steel, blood and blue…the gritty streets are all too true!
A crystal pearl on a crystal shell…an diamond lies ‘an a life of hell!
With dues to pay...‘an golden dreams on lay-away!
A gust of wind...a sonic crack...‘an a cosmic crash!
The winds have rocked my way!
So rock away!
Pennies in my pocket…with another bottle rocket!
Simple lovey-dovey...bangers and the bills!
Swirly-dwirly drinks…and penny copper mills!
Up all night…up all night!
A party of a life...a party of a life!
Silvery stones and...pretty golden lockets!
Up all night...up all night!
Coolest winter’s chill...with only bills...no thrills!
A shattered golden heart…for a royal golden tart!
A heady frothy malt…with ‘an endless open spout!
So rock away…so rock away!
Royal silken flags are raised…as the royal clippers sway!
So rock away…so rock away!
Party’s…bangers…sweets…drummers tapping beats!
So rock away…so rock away!
Linen…satin…sheets…parch'ment-value…sheets!
So rock away…so rock away!
A party of a life...a party of a life!
Silvery stones...and pretty golden lockets!
Up all night...up all night!
Party's...silver...golden wings...secret hidden things!
So rock away...so rock away!
Diamond golden rings...and 'any' other thing?
So rock away...so rock away!
