"A Near-Death Experience of A Sweetheart"
Floating through a corridor between two different Worlds
among white fluffy clouds and shimmering stars awhile wind unfurls
racing into darkness: destination to death's door
living in a heavenly kingdom ... forevermore ...
Traveling through deep tunnel as cold fingers touch
walls of blackened essence creating thoughts to clutch
quickly toward a bright white light of peace
my soul and spirit being experienced soft release ...
Rushing to a Paradise, landing on streets of gold
seeing the Face of God so clearly to behold
longing to embrace my dear departed family
loved ones who had gone before to their final destiny ...
Their captivating smiles excited my soul
sharing love once more as was in their earthly roll
but a huge white Angel stood between my track
he spoke mentally "child of God you must go back.
And yet, I was not sad but happy to have seen
my precious treasured relatives cuddled by Supreme Being
why? I questioned must I return to Planet Earth?
Angel responed not your time to stay
your purpose unfulfilled for God to cherish every day ...
Suddenly transported through the tunnel smelling flowers
a jorney taking minutes but feeling like hours
and soon the sights and sounds ignited quiet hospital room
while my loved ones endured possibility of doom ...
My husband was squeezing my hand so tight I felt his love
as my children sobbed so loud praying to above
my eyes opened wide as I inhaled a breath
escaping to my body while I avoided Death ...
This near-death experience was an inspiration
for another realm exists in utter fascination
for now the message lives to enjoy both love and life
have no fear for death is harmless and erases strife ...
Hover close to God and always give Him thankxxx
through trials and tribulations He relieves all angst
Treasure every moment and anticipate the end
a beutiful place is waiting reuniting family and friends ...
Kisses and hugs replaced those solitary tears
knowing what lies ahead extinguishes all fears
please celebrate the gift of life in grateful attitude
Eternity is awesome with unending interlude ...
My darling, my dearest, my loving man –
it is a perfect fire you have going,
the atmosphere is Christmas-cheer glowing.
I delight in you, me and our cider brew
in this, our own romantic freedom sphere.
Your presence, talk and kisses are my heaven.
I love you calling me sweetheart, always have –
I wish your voice were something I could grab,
plus, your embrace, that neither would diminish.
It could be my blessing, come wrapped as present.
Yes, you’re right, sure, we’ll always be together …
sipping cider, sharing life’s joys and rifts.
Our love has lent richness to five Christmas’ times
and still your presence brings me joy undefined.
More cider? … Bit sleepy? – I’ll tuck this pillow.
Drink … there, that’s it … so, I’ve had you shadowed,
that is, you and the she you never tried to quit.
Scared? … It's just my loving gift of arsenic.
‘Twas in the spring we met just you and I;
our love then bloomed and took off to the sky,
and floated ‘mongst the clouds that drifted by
as we enjoyed a new nirvanic high.
And like a fantasy it set us free;
in reveries we soared across the seas
to white sand beaches lined with mango trees
that ever gently swayed in ocean breeze.
We spent our summer lost in paradise
while sipping Captain Morgan rum on ice,
and passions never ceasing to entice;
just you and me and love, Babe, did suffice.
But time, relentless time, has cast its spell;
there’s no escaping younger days death knell,
like pebbles falling down an empty well,
and echoing the age in which we dwell.
Although our days of youth did now expire,
our love still strong and filled with much desire.
We have our memories that never tire,
as now we’re sipping cider by the fire.

With you in my life
my beautiful wife
My feelings are deep and true
I will forever belong to you
Your voice is music to my ears
Or a poem by William Shakespeare
I felt like fireworks burst at our first kiss
Oh, my sweetheart ... hugs from your husband Chris

There are times
You see in the eyes of a child
An Angel
Our Alice in wonderland
Through the looking glass
Even General Zia yielded to her charm
In our dreams she is ageless like the winds caress
Look deep into her heavenly being
See the seraphs eyes that lays a kiss upon you
Both young and old
See the hand that holds the poor
Listen to the voice
That united nations
Listen to the heart of Nazia Hassam
Charmaine my love, you're the sweetheart of the Soup
Everyone adores you including this nincompoop
If you ever leave
So many would grief
Probably thousands would leave including this old coot

"Sweetheart"
I have so much to say, she has done so much!
She chose me, became my mentor, F*!!!
Tears flow, heart torn but with me she remains!
She has done so much, I have so much to say!
Such power in her verse, clung to every word!
Such diversity poetically, the humble hummingbird.
Our sessions and conversations, mentally preserved
Clung to every word, such power in her verse!
I dedicate this to you, your gods soldier now
Reminiscent our different collaborations, endowed!
So "Sweetheart" starts anew, with love I bid adieu
Your gods soldier now, I dedicate this to you

Sweetheart, Your Lips The Only Honey I Will Taste
A collaboration with Susan Ashley
Sweetheart, Your Lips The Only Honey I Will Taste
Bright heaven's night skies, in your eyes once were,
agleam they glittered, gems as you danced free;
my darling, sad you once thought I loved her
oh how that sexy vixen did chase me!
Her lies about our night trysts at the lake
she said we did commingle on white sand;
I know the pain they gave, was hard to take
her vicious calls to you worse to withstand!
I give you this, our hearts both love entwine
your lips the only honey I will taste;
my love-life’s yours, as only your’s is mine,
so please, lets live and love, let’s not time waste!
Your lips the only honey I will taste.
So please, lets live and love, let’s not time waste!

Temptress: Your Lips The Only Honey I Will Taste
My tongue tells lies to get me what I want
and longs to taste the sweets of your desire,
I’ll tempt you and your woman I will taunt;
behold this tigress striped in passion’s fire.
I have no shame in stalking you, my prey,
my green eyes have you surely in my sight,
I watch and pray that from her you will stray;
upon you with my purr I will alight!
If prayers don’t work I have a backup plan..
I’ll tell her of us when her back was turned -
a sly seductress always gets her man,
as if by magic when the truth is blurred.
My claws will hook you given half the chance,
beguiling rumors charm with their snake dance...

Poet’s note: Thank you, my dear friend, for your accepting
my invitation to compose beautiful verses with me yet again.
to share this new double sonnet collaboration.
And as always, it was an honor and true pleasure to write
with you and see poetic verses be born.
This about an evil temptress that falsely accuses a man
faithful to his beloved wife spurns her unwanted advances.
Such that happened in real life and was a nightmare to have
to had endure until the truth came out about the lying
and crazy temptress. Lucky that her best friend finally
exposed her for the liar that she was.
I have only been gone for a week or two
My darling Emily I am pining for you
In my mind’s eye I can see your titian hair
Your emerald eyes, your complexion so fair
Sweetheart, you know the army is my life
You knew this when you became my wife
I picture your face and pray I will see it soon
For your smile lights up the darkest room
Great distance and war keep us apart
Darling Emily you are forever in my heart
Even during the darkest hours
I smell the scent of fragrant flowers
The news on your scroll lifted my heart
I can’t bear the thought that we are apart
When I return to your arms you will be a mother
Our daughter may have a new baby brother
Take care sweet Emily, it is you that I miss
Every night I dream of your tender kiss
With God’s grace we will be together again
I will love you forever, your husband Ken

Zorro of the sorrow small,
kissed a lady in the hall,
coming back still feeling bliss,
caught the same girl, was a miss,
not Carmelita at all.
thinking she was,
Carmelita in the dark,
kissed her mouth,
hands did wander way on south,
had a pistol nothing neater.
panting sweet was Carmelita,
fire burning in her heater,
enraptured plunging, something sweeter
stayed until the time had come.
spent the Zorro's, brow did furrow,
coming to the candle light,
Where was the sweetest Carmelita,
some old shiela smiling bright?
Zorro said "oh good to meet ya,"
bounding on black Diablo, in flight!

Listen my dove, to the lulling music
of Gounod’s Ave Maria.
Hear the soft brushing of the bow
against the perfectly tuned violin strings,
vibrating tenderly and lovingly.
So hearken, my little dove
but don’t dare to dream.
For dreams are all illusions
Never meant to be.
Avoid futility, for dreams
are part of our innermost desires
that is, alas, beyond our means.
In this ugly sick world of ours,
real love should reign supreme,
with such a weapon only
we can conquer the arrows
that outrageous fortune throws at us.
Be strong, look forward to life,
even if it is somehow short.
And though it may seem rather slow.
There is always a silver-lined cloud
that glitters after a timely shower.
Aim for it until the day
when you develop wonderful wings
to fly to heavenly everlasting dreams,
Where you’ll hear Gounod’s music again.
long blonde hair, clumsy
sweet to me
loves me, love him
missing him
far away, only dreaming about him
unknown to him
his known to me
only can hope he still does me
cause i do him
only can wait
just wait
Sipping cider with my sweetheart,
it was so much fun.
Christmas tree, the cards and shopping.
All of it was done!
All alone now with my sweetie
on that Christmas Eve,
I was thrilled about a special
thing I would receive!
My boyfriend all month was hinting
how he would arrange
to strengthen our togetherness;
that our lives would change!
“Are you ready now?” he asked me.
“Cover up your eyes.”
Then he took a bit of time to
go get the ‘surprise’.
I peeked! It felt like I had been
punched right in the gut.
Racing toward me came my gift:
a yelping little mutt!

How I miss what I never had
Long hot kisses kinetic cranberry flavored
As I struggle with my need to breathe
Every breath in and out for you
The deepest fuzzy feelings ferment
In every fiber of my body my soul
We are so close yet so far
Long distance love challenges so unique
Yet we climb each mountain peak
Standing victorious in each others heart
Violet veins pumping the same goals
Hopes purple passion and old fashioned needs
I’m unable to flee from you
Because you are inside of me
It’s pleasant and peaceful
How you make love to my mind
With only your words so kind
And I am grateful for whatever
Way we connect be it chats
Or email or internet
We have only a moment to blink
And find reasons why we think
Time is on our side
And we surf it like ocean tide
I think we are very special
And as you say
The heart wants what it wants
So it’s not really a problem
Being apart when we are an island
Intellectually connected and destined
We have beat the odds
And now we can be sweethearts
For as long as blessed by God
And his frost-clad lips I gently kissed
So mildly radiant amid this place--
That the silvery night grew quite intense
Until a gasp rushed from his cheeks.
While awakening to each other
Our throbs exploded into daybreak…
When sweet nectar of fresh beginning
Piqued an appetite's thrill…reborn:
Even though flakes bobbed near the pane
I gazed keenly inside those irises
Raw yet tender under gloss of lamp shade
Igniting my hunger for a charmed surprise :
And sipping cedar's pulp of intoxication --- a drink for two
Mint ambrosia through dusky air roused all hours
As we jived , swaggered along together--
On this flamed wintry honeymoon day~
