Seasons like emotions fade away.
Where poisonous rain once
blistered susceptible surfaces,
sapphire skies showcase saffron sun,
silently soothing somber scars.

Yesterday was a vacant colouring book.
Today is a kaleidoscopic of colours,
illuminating every blank page.
Rainbow rivers stream through veins,
as eyes paint positive portraits.

Pen flows like exotic fruit juices,
blending sweet smoothies.
Essence of fruit salad zest,
liberates from a coconut mind.
Psychedelic pineapple heart,
nurtures mango soul's serenity.

Sentimental sun rays embrace,
soaking warmth deep inside.
Happiness is tranquil like a
pleasant fresh ocean breeze.

Premium Member The Gravedigger

He never did see a face though only a board width away,
yet remembers feeling privileged, spending those last few moments
while trying so hard to find the softer soil to lessen the impact
upon the brass plated permanent encasement; in this final resting place.

beneath the old oak
neither sun nor moon perceived
a veil of shadow

He’s mindful of the susceptible sensation within when the last
shovelful that completely covered the coffin tenderly placed,
then the license to use the coarse fill of heavy clay and stoney soil.

to become apart
at one within holy ground
the grass grows each spring

A phenomenal pride when to barrow away the surplus soil,
leaving the mound trim and tidy, a monument for the deceased;
also a monument for him, his very first dig, all with his own hand.

a mark of respect
for three score years and nineteen
entity forgone.

Premium Member My Net Worth

One day I decided to aggregate what I own
Realizing soon enough I couldn't count it all,
Though I never thought I had all that much
What I had was oddly beyond simple math.

Determined I was to know what I'm worth
And I knew the formula for how that works
So I added all assets and deducted liabilities
Yet, never could I derive the right answer.

My assets were tangible, so easy to add up
But when I thought of lives I had touched
And receipt of generosity they bestowed,
I could not appraise the value of their love.

Swiftly I subtracted what I owed to others
Feeling proud of self for I didn't owe much
Till I took account of much that was given
Not expecting from me anything in return.

When I finally accepted futility of my effort
My worth resembled faces of my loved ones,
Not susceptible to any numeric computation
Well beyond the bounds of ordinary cognition.

Premium Member Innocence of Youth

Acquiescing to love's defeat,
you subdue sad feelings within.
For when passion's flame flickers out,
anxieties slowly begin.

Dominating reality;
bitter tears flow with brutal force.
And wash away the promises,
that kept your hopes and dreams on course.

The weight of betrayal hits you
with the force of a speeding train.
And you're left spinning in a trance,
oblivious to all but pain.

Fueled by half-truths and deceit;
your happy thoughts begin to ebb.
And soon, your vulnerable heart
falls victim to depression's web.

Your soul's susceptible to lies,
for love camouflages the truth.
And salvaging remnants of trust,
you shed the innocence of youth.

Unholy Thunderous Domination

Destroy thine own brother in abject apathy
taking up arms 'midst conquering expectancy,
invoking howls of contemptible thunder
neath skies' transparency beyond trepidation,
battles' plundering captures naught of stability
nor intervention from otherworldly gods
predisposed towards earthly universal unity,
persecuting soil's divinity neath aggregate exploits
incalculable hunger upon grounds' domination,
tears were purged in the name of unholy ascendancy
deliver us from susceptible evil men chanting war cries,
congregated in humanity's blood spoils on fire
hailing flared atomic detonations' nuclear nightmare
Trumped midst castle's undeniably delusional rhetoric

Ultimately ascertained, entities' faith shall resoundingly be diminished
casting down divine dispensation bestowed pon the wrath of mankind

Premium Member Mythmakers Often Miss the Stop

Each moment arrives
already threaded—
camels crossing through narrowed eyes,
yesterday's needles.
I see the burden in your face when I get here,
but it’s not your face;
rather a ripple of something older,
residue caught in the glass
nothing but an echo of now. Do you see that?
A life lived sideways,
pressed into the sand.

My bus driver is Atlas today,
holding a world hostage
until I meet his raised eyebrows
with an acknowledgment,
in addition to the usual fare.
The woman on the corner is Circe,
turning glances to granite,
spinning myths into tricks—
even the barista, bean-stained hands,
shifts like Persephone, balancing
her sweet against the darkness.

What is our world if not echoes
refracted, meals consumed after death?
What is real except an insurrection
of stories, clawing at the edges of us,
our susceptible flesh, infected with personality?

These vaunted archetypes,
they hide the hollows in our marrow,
make us no match
for the maps we mistake
for ourselves. You tilt your head,
you ask me what I see. I see, I say,
I have seen, the echoes came first—

shadows carved on walls long
before the names, long before the bodies.

Go ahead, laugh—step into the light.
But remember it moves faster than you
think, burns brighter than you see, and always
drags its shadow behind.

Premium Member Becoming Morally Impeccable

We can all begin each day with firm resolutions
To do everything viewed as morally acceptable
Not causing problems, being a part of solutions.

Surrounding us already are too many pollutions
Believe not that our good acts are imperceptible
We can all begin each day with firm resolutions.

One person, one deed can start a revolution
Let it be from acts that are morally impeccable
Not causing problems, being a part of solutions.

We seek not for our moral goodness restitutions
A fault to which so many humans are susceptible,
We can all begin each day with firm resolutions.

Thinking this way leads to awesome conclusions
Everyone of us can be among the exceptional
Not causing problems, being a part of solutions.

The first step, I believe, is tomorrow’s execution
Of the will to make ourselves morally accessible,
We can all begin each day with firm resolutions
Not causing problems, being a part of solutions.

Her slender little form adorned in smoky grey.
She was very quiet, never had much to say.
Friendly and sweet, her personality quite warm.
Adorned in smoky grey, her slender little form.

She was fairly shy, rather mousy I would say.
She had no friends though they worked with her all day.
Her one-word answers to their question made them sigh.
Rather mousy I would say, she was fairly shy.

No one really knew, she was quite the introvert.
Timid and so sensitive, she was susceptible to hurt.
Watching them so friendly, she wished for friends too.
She was quite the introvert, no one really knew.

The workday complete she would go home by train.
She wouldn’t be home long, and she would go out again.
A new set of clothes, no grey from her head to her feet.
She would go home by train, the workday complete.

At the club she was well known, her clothes outrageous.
Dancing until morning, been doing this for ages.
Happiness and laughter, her excitement well shown.
Her clothes, outrageous, at the club she was well known.

She just loved to be seen, she was so outgoing.
With the splendor of her colorful clothes, she was glowing.
Wearing colors of the rainbow, she was the Color Queen.
She was so outgoing, she just loved to be seen.

Soldier of Pain

In the beginning before you, there was only the desolate darkness.
Just like in the Bible, two people were created for each other.
The creation of a beautiful paradise just for you and I.
To spend our precious time together in lovely bliss forever high.
The only differences are that it ain't called Eden, I'm not Adam, you're not Eve.
And a place where evil cannot enter to taint your pure and jovial soul.
So worry not about the evil snake because I'm there to fend it off.
Your safety and sanity are my utmost priority for eternity.
God gave me full responsibility to ensure this world does not fall into calamity.
I shall share all the burden that you carry so that you can be happy.
To ensure that you and I can sustain our dream to be happy together.
Because only when you're happy then can that dream truly become our future.
For this is my holy duty as your soldier of pain.

Notes
This is a slightly modified verse from a rap I wrote (under the same title of this poem/verse) dedicated to my clinically depressed ex-girlfriend whom I loved dearly to cheer her up but ultimately made her feel worse for some reason and she broke up with me. The verse is about me trying my absolute best to protect my ex from all the pain or sadness that she may be susceptible to due to her depression as making her happy was one of my promises to her, which I failed to honor...

I'm not here for sympathy but I'm posting it here so that at least someone else can read it and hopefully enjoy it. :-)

Oh and it's not meant to be religious either since both of us are not, I just used the Bible as an inspiration for this verse.

Love Has No Age Limit

Never let your life become mundane
Whatever you have witnessed
There are more wonders to see

Life has barely read a chapter
So turn over the page and as you do
Look carefully and it will set you free

Age doesn't make you any less a child
Your eyes have been open longer
But no less susceptible to awe

Love has an ageless soul
So let your heart cave in
See life's beauty and love once more

Right Now

In the exact moment that I am right now
I stand in a sea of vulnerability;
susceptible to the effects of causes around me
and since I am fully aware,
I own my surroundings
I am one with sounds and vibrations
resonating from the earth;
I am that pulse of the drum beat
thats been thrashing
inside me since birth

Right now, I am exactly as I am
deeply flawed and misjudged
used, victimized and persecuted
Right now I am you in the absolute

Right now, I am exactly as I am
balanced, whole and complete
attracting abundance and certainty
Right now I am peace - still you

Right now, I am exactly as I am
You

Stepping Into the Unknown

Banking on heads but coming
up tails,
Life is a train on the tracks and
death is one off the rails;
Turning right when you should
have gone left,
Letting your guard down and
succumbing to theft;
Theft of your ideas, faith, and
love,
Hoping and praying for
guidance from above;
Your conscience weighing down
upon the thoughts you bear,
Leaving you susceptible to life's
gruesome wear and tear;
The pathway ahead now not so
clear,
Fog disrupting your view of
what once seemed so near;
Uncertainty now surely claims
your every thought,
Not knowing whether or not to
pursue what you once sought;
What's white is black and
what's black is white;
What's right is wrong and
what's wrong is right;
These cards you've been dealt
are not what they seem,
Neither winning nor losing, it's
more than a dream;
Life is a roller coaster with no
fail proof restraints,
So live every day like your last
and hold no complaints;
Nothing is ever set in stone or
kept secure with a lock,
And unpredictability is just one
of life's numerous building
blocks.

The Era of Area

The Era of Area

Diameters
Circumference

The whole sector

My vision is the mirror of the world I'm reflecting

Led by my Path and direction

I said I was reckless

But only to relay the message

That
peace is peace

But that don't mean just ah fraction

We are mankind
Not manufactured

Intellectuals
That lack actual
Intellect that's factual

Susceptible
To information un creditable
Satisfied with lies made eatable
Audible and fashionable

Collateral
damage,
descendants of
Degenerates
Piggybacking
Of ignorance

Soliciting
Bigotry and
Vengeance

Is it
the power of adding every cents
Or the fact that we been slaves
Caged in that same ship ever since

Kunta tried to make a drum
But the beat skipped
Speak it
He taught me,
that's the way to pass teachings

Read it
Alex Haley taught me
Words are our secret
language leads us to our healing
I thank Ayala for her leading
And Lauren hill for her grieving

So many I thank without guessing
But you feel their presence
Through my content and evidence
I'm forever rich

Gold is my soul
Diamonds shining through my bones
I'm all elements and minerals
Ascending in intervals

I'll be the bird with the word
So you dont get pigeon holed

Strength is within us
We forget it though
Looking at the exterior
Forgetting the inter folds
We self centered
But are we centered though
See the picture and throw a filter on
Then wonder why you vision thrown

We all sinners
casting the first stones
My people, take these steps with me
The path the leads us back home

A Prophet : Defining the Term

A Prophet is not one who can predict future acts.
He’s given the grace to see and relate the facts.
To those who are blind,
he appears most unkind,
And is susceptible to all kinds of attacks.
