Premium Member TRANSMUTATION

Once I had harbored complexes many.
I thought I wasn’t beautiful or wise.
With my spluttering tone and broken speech,
I feared, my words fell flat,
Never leaving an impact or impression

Now when I have learnt to accept myself as I am,
I find, there is more strength in me than I know,
And I really do have worth.

I know, even sunshine can burn,
If we bask too much in its warmth.
When our ego is shorn and our craving
For acceptance is lifted off like a piece of lead
It is then we feel lighter at heart.

Do you think this wisdom descended on me,
All too sudden? Never, it came slowly,
When passed through bitter trials, the ups and downs of life.

As grapes are crushed to make red wine,
As sunflower seeds are pressed to extract oil,
One is passed through the tests of life,
And my insights, I got through hard lessons.

Now I know I am not just a traveler in this wild terrain,
And my sojourn here is not accidental but has a purpose.
I realize I am not alone, but walk among people,
Who share a commonality of experience.

When corn withers on the stalk,
And when life gets torn from its moorings,
It signals that change must come.

When I wished to get a new ignition
And when I tried it with all my might
My leaden nights got transformed into golden days.

So, don’t fret when life confronts you like a Sumo wrestler.
Just know you are in the process of a transmutation!

I have been in utter darkness,
But burning myself in the blazing fire,
I have acquired the sheen and glitter of gold,
And how thankful I am, for I am re-forged!

Premium Member Making Love

Those early days of passion when we went at it like rabbits
now long since have been replaced by crochet, crosswords and such habits.
A sudden wave of passion and straight up the stairs we tramp,
only to find when both undressed that one of us has cramp.
And changing our positions gets a knee thrust in the guts
or worse still there's that sudden scream from badly twisted nuts.
The last lap interrupted by the call of someone's bladder
or the window cleaner falling back in shock from off his ladder.
Those days of quiet bonding now replaced by loud commands
or the cursing from you rolling over, trapping both my hands.
The elegance of Karma Sutra that we used to know
now replaced by Sumo wrestling from a pair of buffaloes.
So nowadays when our urges flare we wonder do we risk it
and end up lying side by side with cups of tea and biscuits.
Should one of us find that we're now on all cylinders firing,
we'll have a hug and just hold hands-
since that is far less tiring.

"Book Worms" Posted 1 Feb 2021

i'm reading a book about anti-gravity I can't put it down

that bio of Led Zeppelin's guitarist is a real Page turner

don't miss this: "Dummies For Dummies" by Charlie McCarthy and Lamb Chop

i'll admit there is a time and place for books in my hand and right now

in one college course we read books about candy the class was Choc Lit

today I got hit on the head by a book I have my shelf to blame

"But Weight, There's More" Posted 8 Feb 2021

for some of us during COVID overeating is a weigh of life

when i feel plump i tell myself i'm not overweight, i'm undertall

those who sell books on dieting are living off the fat of the land

darwin's theory of sumo wrestling the survival of the fattest

during lockdown, i'm on the seafood diet i see food, i eat it

i saw my doctor and asked him what kind of shape i'm in he said "pear"

"Groucho Marx Edition" Posted 15 Feb 2021

if i said you had a gorgeous body would you hold it against me?

i would never belong to a club that would have me as a member

be open minded but not so open minded that your brains fall out

i never forget a face but in your case, i'll make an exception

i have had a perfectly wonderful evening but this wasn't it

those are my principles and if you don't like them, well, I have others

All humor attributed to the inimitable Groucho Marx

"Occupational Hazards" Posted 22 Feb 2021

my dentist's motto be true to your teeth or they will be false to you

bakers trade recipes with each other on a knead to know basis

I called a budget exterminator he came with a flyswatter

the butcher backed into the meat grinder and got behind in his work

a back- and neck-straightener in Egypt is called a Cairo practer

don't call me a plumber I am a "broker in new and used water"

Premium Member Sumo's Soft Landing

The ski jump was over ninety foot high
A Sumo wrestler thought he'd like to try
Ski's didn't fit right
Both came off in flight
And he landed on some folks passing by.

If a Tortoise, If a Turtle

Dedicated to my favourite poet - Shelley

If a tortoise, if a turtle
You are never going to hurtle
Witness how your limbs are placed
Splayed east to west, all carapaced
what if some meat-eating moron,
Jonesing for a snack to gnaw on,
sees you sumo-stepping by
thinks "Hey look - a fresh meat pie"?
Running will beget disaster
You beat a hare so now you're faster?
You let your tasty bits protrude
and pretty soon they're getting chewed
No! Stop to suck your vitals in,
and hope he likes his toothy grin
Cause it's going to get busted
your gooey filling's well encrusted

That’s what she calls herself
who boasts of the longest reigning monarchy in the world,
producing a short of one to twenty Nobel Prize winners
as only two colleagues beat her to global wealth.

Her buttocks sit on the red hot coal
of the deadly pacific ring of fire.
Her cultural and innovative influence,
already clinging on global corners with their webs.
The sushi, sashimi and the tempura;
the karate, judo, sumo and ninjutsa;
the Toyota, Sony, Nintendo, canon and Panasonic,
all testaments of her hands of influence.

She’s a home to over six thousand pieces
resting on large waters to stay as one.
Three-fourth of her landscape is forests or mountains
and so industrious to make possible the Asimo.
Her short poems have been globally popularized
with almost every of her citizens literate,
while some of her streets still remain nameless.

She must have acquired lots of black cats
to reach such a height of civilization and power;
Beauty comes with teeth not quite regular,
visiting the vending machine to satisfy ones need for a beer,
possessing the largest trade center for fish in the world
but publicly blowing the nose and tearing off a gift’s wrap
converts her cool countenance into a bad mood.

She has centers for drinking and taking alcoholic shots
so also for enjoying the fluid of lactation for adults.
Ironing a shirt with a speed of light
is her special craft and yardstick for a serious competition.
Population of pets outweigh that of children;
her appetite for Basashi and expenses for the melons
invite controversy to any form of human reasoning.
Immigration then is highly regulated
to give continuity to such traditional and economic history.

Premium Member I'D Rather Be In Colorado

I've ventured far from Indiana, the home soil of my birth,
To many exotic and exciting places all about this earth.
I've seen majestic Mount Fuji from the Kanto Plain of Tokyo.
But I'd rather marvel at Pikes Peak right here in Colorado!

I've traveled the rugged Khyber Pass in ancient Pakistan,
And saw sumo wrestling and cherry blossoms in Japan.
The alabaster city of Casablanca I've visited in Morocco,
But I'd rather tour old ghost towns right here in Colorado!

Magnificent Mount Vesuvius I've seen across Naples Bay.
In Holland I've seen windmills and tulips in vast display.
I've seen the swallows returning to San Juan Capistrano.
'Tis more thrilling to see eagles soar the pristine skies of Colorado!

In Bermuda I've lolled upon the beaches of pink sand,
And have viewed the towering Alps of Switzerland.
Mayan ruins I've scampered over in Old Mexico,
But I'd rather explore the ruins of Mesa Verde in Colorado!

I've climbed the Tower of Pisa rewarded with a view divine,
And visited the quaint Principality of Liechtenstein.
Some folks strive for a lifetime seeking their El Dorado.
I've found mine right here in Colorful Colorado!

No fusion with these creatures

No picollo but Dr gero
An these androids trod
Aiming death beams to rod
In the time chamber with a ipod
Short like krillin
But lethal adrenaline
Eager for fitness
Of all saiyans I despise kakarot
G.o.d of destruction
When OOZARU ego is hot
God of justice for defending his spot
I'm ten times naruto
The Neo
Villains betray theyself to be the heroes
I'm Vegeto
Finito

Budakai flow against these pseudos
Jujitsu sumo flow
Ninja stars nunchucks in my dojo

To make a wish that I fall
But it won't be granted
I'm with the GOD of all gods over the planets
I'm use to being against those with an advantage

IF YOU PULL A LONG FACE : Part XXVIII

IF you pull a long perplexed face
You could be watching SUMO in Tokyo Bay
Or reading this without a NIHONG-GUO dictionary in front of face
Rather I'd say you were the victim of WATENAGE

If you gasp at me pulling - pardon me - long dude face
Most probably you landed on your head due to ****ANAGE
Little use then pulling that long RISHIKISHI enigmatic poker face
Even if you were a 400-pound local HEBI-KYU god YOKOZUNA

Yet if you insist on pulling your long-slapped face
It's your own funeral living stabled in a SUMOBEYA
When all around GEISHA fans dream behind rice-paint face
Of what use then 30,000 YEN KENSHOKIN PRIZE nets you each day

If you can't help pulling that long-repressed face
Think you can gouge eyes out kick grab groin pull hair
Think again you had better throw salt to purify SHINTO DOHYO ring space
Or else find your MAWASHI loincloth ripped-off your shame hair rare

So if you must pull that 1500-year long SUMO face
Make certain you perform KAMI salt-throwing ceremony
First of all at TOKYO MEIJI SHRINE like all RISHIKISHIS
Before you digest 5000 to 7000 calories of fried diabetic chow each thumping day

The Trolls Come Out At Night

Some cat entered my room one night
I thought it was a ghost
It smelled like something had just died
But I must oblige my guest as the host

I turned on the light and there it was
An obnoxious opossum at best!
Whoa! Forget my host duties, cous!
Take the room—I’m an unhappy guest!

I left the house with a shutter
Before I realized I was heavily surrounded
By cats on all sides, up and under
The house they had all just rounded!

In truth I was perturbed on all levels
That I began to realize in horror
That damn opossum had spawned these little devils!
And tonight I must end this terror!

I then ran straight to the kitchen
Aware of the opossum inside
If I give up the tuna and ditch um’
Perhaps I’ll escape this night alive

The persistent cats scratched at the holes
Those buggers—those meddlers!
They could have been thieves—if not trolls!
Their yowls would scare sumo wrestlers!

Worst of all in this dilemma
Tomorrow was grocery day
There were no more cans of tuna
All my fish had swam away!

Somehow one got in
And the rest came barreling through
I ran toward my room to him
The opossum looked so distressed and blue

The little beady eyes pierced my soul
And I knew from then on he was my friend
He only meant to hide from the furry little trolls
And escape a most pitiful end!

I made up my mind at last
And picked up my trusty broom
Come on in—I dare yah tah pass!
Ain’t no feline coming through this room!

Glowing eyes burned with intent
And the yowling grew loud as hell
The little bullies think they can take my guest!
They’ll fly like birds they will!

That night was a battle like none other
A battle I will proudly say I won
I gained the friend of my life—a brother
My pet’s a load of fun!

As much as I love a neighbor cat
They are a little scary as a race
Thankfully a broom will push them back
And put them in their place

My opossum is a sweet little thing
And I protect him with my life
I’ll never judge a critter again
Till actions bring it to light

When i joined hostel ,
everything seemed new n exciting..
and i was interviewed by my roomies ,
till 4 o'clock of morning..!! :D

Richa and Kavneet,,
both so sweet..
we lived like sisters ,
3 roomies who were ready to spread their wings..
we enjoyed a lot..
and fought everyday for small things.. :P

when Richa came to college,
she used to say..
"main to yaha papa ka sapna poora krne ai hu..''
n me n kavneet giggled..
coz we knew she is gonna change..;)

we have a beautician in our group of friends..
''Fite Haal'' she says, before every sentence.. :D
Neha Kajla is her name,
and her beauty tips are gaining fame.. ;)

And then i found a friend so Fun loving,
Pearl Goyal,who enjoys everything..
Damn,we bunked so many classes,
and still tried to look studious,
by wearing glasses.. :D

we rushed to canteen after every lecture,
just to have a "gehri"
and got caught many times
and our good impression was fractured..!! :P

and we have a sumo wrestler,
Prabhjot is her name..
dont take ''panga''
as being punched by her is now a game.. :p

her roomie Navdeep Hara is beaten when she creates a fuss,
and still you can see them together..
enjoying maggi n cold drink
in the hostel mess.. :P

''Kameeni kutiya'' are the adorable words
we use for each other.. :D
 we love,
 we share,
 we help,
and care for one another.......... :)))))))))

Take Me To Japan

Lead me to the island of the rising sun.
The place where Mount Fuji looms over.
Sakura blossoms bloom and fall like rain.
Where Amaterasu shows her face.

Welcome me to the foreign island in the sea.
Where its history is alive.
Both ancient and modern meet.
Culture and tradition are sacred.

A large city overflowing with its people.
the skyscrapers tower over you.
the neon lights glowing up the sky.
where fashion is created, clubs are full.
games are played, and karaoke is sung.

The countryside is living its antique past.
Rice fields are plenty, the sake is poured.
Temples are built by their ancestors.
Where the geikos are dancing at the ochaya.
the samurai swings his swords,
and the sumo wrestles.

Show me the site with its many festivals
and the food is plenty.
From Udon to Sushi, I want a bite.
and the sweets are just as unique.

Guide me in the mountains,
where the springs are naturally hot.
where the rivers flow, the forest is peaceful.
and the gardens are made of rock.

A country where the people are polite.
Bow in greeting, tea in the pot.
Where I can dress in yukata in the summer
and Kimono in the winter.

I want to be at a place that's different than my own.
to smile like them, pray at the shrines for them.
So take me to the land far from here,
and let me live out my dreams.

Enchantress (Let Me Chisel Talk You) Part Two

(Continued from part one.)

Afire not his thoughts, the Devil sees,
He soars and roars, in his physical might.
His bears’ hug, his warmth, could melt you;
Into joys and tears, in willing submission.

Treat him not, to your portions of love.
He grows cold, is lost in erotic rage.
Wiggle not mermaid, in bouts of passion,
The dough you kneed, may turn love to hate.

Dare not the wile witches’ craft;
Lest he banish you to the earth’s folds,
To burn in hate, love and desire,
Forever and ever, in eternal penance.

Spurn not his love for the unknown,
With frivolous, eyewash camouflage.
He watches behind the scenes,
Your tremors in the curves and the lips;

You innocent, blooming seductress,
Holding the Mega-staff, letting reptiles sing:
You bore the man, the crowned lord of vice.
Rip him, Independence, to his natural doom.

Haven’t you learnt, you Hollywood menace?
Ever seen Javed Jaffery the Tellywood, Bollywood
Lollywood and Mollywood a few dozen like you?
Tent walk dove-eyed, bumps to the moon.

Kanjiwaram, the Casanova Frenchie,
Break dance in airs to the Eiffel Tower.
Red herring you to the Spanish bulls.
Joy ride Rolls on BMW’s track.

Con the Germans and the Japs.
You, wonder android, generations ahead.
(Forget the Merc-E, TELCO ties,
Or their Sumo-ing the Japanese pride.)

Take care you fool, Govinda could snare,
Rap tap the Seghal to his toe’s.
Golden Eye the double O’s latest dream.
Kung-fu Steven’s at his own game.

Anti-gravity NASA, with mental fields.
Stealth fly you out, from the Pentagon.
Biotech you back into American laps,
Genetically engineered, Gene cultured, wreck.

Brain-virus Microsoft, in config-trees,
Space walk you to the final frontiers in enterprise.
Dance away the foxes of your clan.
Ultra culture, the real London breed.

In knacks of, how to wink and blink.
Lifting eyebrows? Take care you oaf,
Run you goat! and don’t turn your head.
He is the cool cat, really looking his English best.

Flee, before the gambler, he is still there,
Smirnoff you to the Hustler`s care.
Toss you around, under Playboy’s thumb.
Floor you with his catwalk fun.

Cradle you, to the American roost;
Chickening out, not now KFC hen.
He is “She selling sea shells on the sea shore.”
In wizard glee, those Colgate teeth his real hope.

(To be continues in part three.)

I Can'T Live Without You

When your heart says wow on a beauty scene, what to say!
If a weak Comes out as a sumo, what to say!
A place where all hate each other,
If a flower of love comes out there, What to say!

I wish my nights and days in your arms,
Even if not with me then in dreams,
I can't blink my eyelids when you come in your window,
Don't go away baby I can't live without you!!
