Maria Williams
Presents

Dance to Love

A tribute to my Dad, the late - Wilfred Forbes

She danced with wild abandon
she danced without a care
With sun kissed skin, her arms flung wide
Wild flowers everywhere

I chanced upon this secret glade
while walking early morn
A sacred aura surrounded it
a jewel in the dawn

A type of place where angels dwell
A place of Hopes and Dreams
A magic place of lush green plants
And sparkling bubbling streams

I drew back lest she saw me,
I dared not break the spell
Wild petals swirled around her
and to the ground they fell

Like homage to a Goddess
 that she must surely be
For Gods to but gaze on
 not mortals such as me

She twirled around so fast
I could barely see her feet
And even though I stood afar
I knew she gave off heat

When her tempo slowed right down
 the air became quite chill
The Elements were but her slaves
she ordered them at will

I could have watched forever
 so mesmerized was I
What would I give to dance with you?
 I murmured with a sigh

To dance with wild abandon
 with this Angel from above
A hundred birds would sing out loud
to watch us Dance To Love

by Maria Williams

This tribute is an enactment of a vision as told to us by our late Dad, which he maintained he witnessed as a young man.
He was an extraordinary orchestral musician and teacher to
some world greats.
He was accomplished in no less than 18 instruments, his favorites being the lead violin and xylophone (played with 8 hammers).

Thank you for listening and watching this video.

I Will Be the Stars

I will be the stars
The moon will be my mum
The sun will be my dad
The rain will be my brother

The wind will be my sister
The rainbows will be my friends
The rocks will be my cousins
The fountains will be my happy tears

The waterfalls will be a nickname
Of an edifice I carved for you
Among the rocks and
That I have chosen just for you

The fields will be my attires
The paper and the ink
will be my parcels for you

I tell my mum to rule the nights
Take away sorrows of darkness from you
Caress away your insomnia
And clothe you With her cares
That her night gleams your attires

And I will be the stars

I tell my dad to shine on you,
sunbeam your countenance,
away your damp with his warmth,
and smile always at your hustle

And I will tell my brother to feed you
With the heavenly springs
Flow on your droughts
Feed your greens

I will tell my sister to cool you
With her tender breeze
See that you are bathed
With her oxygen

I tell the rainbows
Of how you wrote me
Many poems of love
And how we smile together
As co stars

And I will tell The Fields
To weave you coat of many colours
red, green, yellow, blue,
violet, orange and indigo coloured
The rainbows will lend a helping hand

I will be the Stars

I will tell the Fields to plant
In your garden multiple colours of roses
They will add a sunflower also
I will tell them to fit in berries,
red, blue, multiple berries

And I will be the stars

Up above among heavenly
Bodies, I will shine as the firmament
Daniel chapter twelve holding three
And brighten your tomorrow
Shining your prayers to God Almighty Alone

Premium Member Dance To Love - Part 2- POTD - The Grand Finale - a Visual Art Poem Tribute

POTD 6th August 2019

The clock ticks down the passing day
Tedious seconds count down my existence
Time for my pills ~ Time to call the nurse
Time ~ taunting my resistance

Soft haunting strains of a violin float
sweetly liquid, melodiously unchained
freeing my mind from weariness faced
No barriers ~ it flows ~ unrestrained

My world of music I lived it ~ breathed it
In whispers ~ it spoke to my Soul
bringing with it, adoration and glory
and a passion beyond my control

I glance at the painting on the wall
pondering this feeling of déjà vu
Memories of this glade from before
Triggers mentation I need to pursue

Memories flood ~ a vision in the distance
an Angel dancing in its midst
who had danced with wild abandon
lucent skin the sun had kissed

How I had yearned to dance with her
with that angel who made me sigh
she had come to shine her own pure light
prompting my spirit to fly

But there’s no girl there ~ awry is my mind
And I’m but a frail old man
I must erase thoughts from my life bygone
And prevail however best I can

~ Every great dream starts with the dreamer
who ventures where mortals dare not tread
And laughs with mirth and cares not for
unfinished rhapsodies playing in his head ~

What’s this? I’m suddenly in the glade?
A strong young lad once more
She has come for me, my Angel love
I leap - I twirl - I soar

We dance with wild abandon
We dance without a care
sun kissed skin our arms entwined
Wild flowers everywhere

It seems I’ve left the world behind
And unshackled my attachments of
A hundred birds do sing out loud
To watch us Dance to Love

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Why Wake

Why wake when first takes fade to night
Why wake when days evade your plight
Don’t ask to rule when thrones you lost apply,
To things you wish, keenly brewing bright
Don’t say you know
when the sun’s last chance arrives

Arrange your passions however you wish
And twist your eyes when they bewitch
Don’t ask of men to fashion a new breed
…the thought, of course, relies on me
Don’t look again
as I slip and slip

In fact your rangy words subscribe
to bottled pride repacked and retooled inside
To every hint of light this way derived
the prospect of insightful sparks you blight
Don’t send me a word
if my memories from your words may die

Don’t sign a cloud with brownish words of clay
A cloud is seen worldly through light and rays
Your words for clouds could thus retain
a will to cast all light aside and rain
Don’t cry for two
when clouds rephrase your words and fade
Don’t tell the truth
that saintly words of love unsaid remain

Premium Member King On A Throne -

Before diving into the music video ‘King on a Throne,’ above,
I encourage you to first read the poem ‘The Glass Throne,’, below which serves as its preamble.

Together, let’s shine a light on the upcoming ‘NO MORE Week,’ a global movement uniting people from all walks of life to say ‘NO MORE’ to domestic and verbal abuse.

You can help spread this vital message by clicking on the YouTube tab for my video above and viewing it on my channel.

Your support through comments—both here and on my channel—would mean so much.

Note- You do not need a YouTube member to post a comment or to Like and Subscribe.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. Now, read on and immerse yourself in the

‘The Glass Throne’
the Poem!

Clay castles built on fleeting breath,
where thrones are carved from glass not depth.
Once love adorned with shimmering gold,
now whispers weave through mirrors cold.

Shifting like a restless ghost
In shadows doubt—the spiteful host.
A monarch drunk on self-versed curse.
Malicious barbs that once disturbed
Now sputter into broken verbs

Darts shot through ego’s bliss
A precarious balance at the pale abyss
But glass will crack, and winds will rise,
As shadows bleed beneath her skies.
From gold leaf lips deceptive lies
Though hidden truths unveil their guise
As complex carved illusions fade
The masquerade unmasked ~ No charades

It’s a time to shine a spotlight on an epidemic that impacts 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men globally. But it’s more than just about increasing awareness; it’s about collective action.

When individuals, organizations, and communities get involved in the movement to stop and prevent abuse, we are louder, stronger, and more impactful.

Power to the People who put up with it.

Premium Member Now Here Comes Their Bleating - In Trump's Own Words Upon Acquittal

So many words, such boring waffle
Posturing peacocks, whispering snakes,
Actions so twisted doubtful if lawful
A bunch of connivers, dithering flakes.

In the House which they rule
They pointed and frowned
Lectures unending as if back at school,
Comments unwelcomed, arguments drowned.

Then to the Senate the matter was sent
Pelosi's grandstanding the Media in tow,
Swaying opinion her only intent
Her hands animated, her face all aglow.

But Mitch was just waiting,
Lurking, knives drawn,
Biding his time skillfully baiting,
For he had the Queen, they just the Pawn.

Here comes their bleating
Lost sheep wailing foul
They accuse us of cheating
Which makes me just howl.
Boy I like winning
It's such a huge high,
I so can't stop grinning
While watching them cry.

Now the deal's done
This farce put to bed,
I'll continue to stun
As I forge way ahead

They thought they could win
By playing the part
But if acting's a sin
I've mastered that art.

Another four years
Of me and my tribe,
No matter their tears
To me they'll subscribe.

Not Kneeling

From neglect comes deviation, electrifying radiation, like a leaf in the shadow,
Drying stanza so bore-some, a bit much candidly said,
In the Sun thinly it is spread,
As it comes to - an End.
Unpropitious almost as a son left to die in a wooden casket,
Beating the chest, screaming the pain dumped in the basket
This fight that is looming, so void and gore,
Drained of meaning, young and old, shaken, - I’ve been told.
Hey, loner-donor go seek Freud and subscribe to the membership of bold.
What name, say you?
Look up, zap the depth and any chance,
Given but not forgiven, just sanitised slam dance,
Not tipping the balance,
So settled, decisive and predisposed,
Here comes the pain rolling down the mountains at Pieve di Cadore
You do not know whether to ignore or adore.
I am a natural riparian who likes to fasten poplars on the banks of my heart
My eyesight at breast height gets pulled by gravity – down!
Sipping on a glass of Vitis Viifera while avoiding an overdose
In the eyes of a true ochre sensible enough
To touch the ground or poke her.
Grab the ivory rod that is a relic of lies,
Crafted for the bride who held it dearly
In the arc it traveled back and forth,
North to south, back to north.
Everything crumbled, thorn to pieces,
Gunning down feeling after feeling,
The fight is looming, but I am not kneeling.

Failure

And all it happened
As i feared
Turned into life
A nightmare
When i touched the flame
I burned down
All my ashes
Lingered around
Seeing the sky
Lying on disgust
Can never bring stars
Into your palm anigh.
Awake
And revive
From those ashes
And burn down those stars
With victory of crashes.

Sorrows

You melted my dreams,
Casted it on your expectations,
Slammed it on me,
To mesh with it with determination.
Draining myself for you,
Still heard what you have done?
Before I close my eyes every night,
I wonder,do you ever love?
You mock at my feelings,
That peep through my eyes,
It's of heartache you gave,
But I am tounge tied.
You care of me sometimes,
And it's alleviating,
I forget all my sorrows,
And think you're loving.
But when the daydream shatters,
And I come in light,
All I see,
Love is but a blight.
I cannot utter "I hate you",
I feel neither,
Though you made me hate myself,
Or the world either.
Everyone says,
I should be loving you,
But I donot feel suchlike,
I feel like I am at the darkest roads,
Forlorn,
Deaf and muted,
I cannot even scream or cry.

Reading My Coffee With You

Reading my coffee o’er a cup of poetry
or is it the other way ‘round
None-the-less, order to which I subscribe
no greater joy can be found

Thinking my lines while writing my thoughts
starts a new day with intent
Empathy, justice and sorrow and love
                           freely are borrowed and lent

One cup of poetry is not enough
some days, I simply need two
Those are the days that I beckon my muse
                             reading my coffee with you

Obsession Part 6

Desperate, I ponder on your death,
scant breath expended twixt the two of us,
and loneliness an ache too harsh to mention.
With pen in hand and no one to subscribe,
I'll never know the softness of your skin,
or search your heart to find what lies within.
Should I be bold, or take a gentler path?
Encourage you... would I incur your wrath?
If you should die I'd never know your truth,
and I would lose the vigour of my youth.

Family

I don’t care about your colour
I don’t subscribe to the look of your face
Were all sisters and brothers and fathers and mothers,
Joined in the human race,
Open your curtains and turn on the news,
we’re surrounded by horror and hate
At a time when so much is so lost and abused,
Why are we screwing our fate,
Your gender your race your beliefs,
The choices that make you be you,
Are individually and perfectly great,
Because they’re completely and honestly true,
If we’re ethically and morally at war,
Then how will we ever move on,
We’re ruining what was given before,
Because we’re treating each other so wrong,
When your down or damaged or lost
And the noise of the world just blares,
Your not caring what barriers are crossed,
Your just grateful to know someone cares,
So people - please look around,
See the person living inside,
Because if we all make just a small effort,
Then never again need we hide.

GIRLCROOSH: INSTRUCTIONS ON FINALLY FEELING OKAY

Try to get out of bed early, try to make your bed. Inhale.
Your off-white bedsheets haven’t been washed in a month.
Try purchasing a new detergent, one of those that’s petal-scented:
2 in 1 Aroma Boost Spring Daydream Wash.
Try smiling in the mirror; especially
If you have dimples. They’re the new “it” thing.

Inhale. Do yoga.
Do yoga and dance. Catch your breath.
Go on YouTube and search up Boho Beautiful, pretend
you’re a clean-girl white-flare has-it-together pilates almond mom.
Make a protein powder banana-peanutbutter shake. Ignore its soil taste.
Inhale and purchase some lululemon leggings.

Write out your feelings. Inhale. Lie to your journal about
the ache hosted in your ribs.
Call it your “self-reflective daily diary,” where you
Write about a fond memory, your [insert therapy term] place, pretend
your year-long headache isn’t pumping your eyes out anymore.
Write about your childhood. Write about the dog you never had.
Act like you finally know what’s caused your hollow.

Travel. Book your Ryanair all-exclusive roundtrip to
Hanoi. Book a tourist bus. Go on a zip line.
There, you will find yourself, and when that stranger
Puts a conical hat on your head
You will thank them for healing you.
You will return, completely changed, smelling
Like hibiscus flowers. Inhale and call your friends.

They’d love to hear from you. Just not
during your 5 AM seeping into icy bathroom floor tiles,
or the third day in which you’ve needed to take extra sleeping pills
that made the window light look hazy.
Call them. Just make sure it isn’t during their own
self-reflective cinnamon candle eating ritual.

Tell Me

Don't tell me my dreams are dependent on a twenty thousand dollar tuition fee. Don't tell me, you scored high in this and low in that, so this is what you can be. Don't tell me we are free, when I look around and all that I see are shells of broken dreams. Men throwing suits on their backs, punching in to power the machine.

Don't tell me that brothers and sisters of other nations hate me because of my freedom, when you cannot look in the mirror to face the true reason. Don't tell me that I am unpatriotic because I see the cost of capitalism. Don't tell me with hard work, YES I CAN, when you have your hands directly on the controls, raising the cost of livin.

Don't tell me you are protecting me, as you put filtered images on the TV, dictating what is that I can and can't see. Don't tell me that I am just naive, labeling me an unrealistic visionary then dodging these words by saying "He is just crazy!"

Don't tell me that this is the only way when to this day you spend more time and energy on weapons, instead of peaceful words to say. Don't tell me that everything is okay, while one man starves to his grave, he is passed by a man on a two week paid vacay who feasts every night at an all you can eat dinner buffet. Don't tell me that I am not a man when I don't subscribe to your, take everything you can in order to get ahead success plan.

Tell me that these tears, in my eyes and upon my cheek as I watch our resources deplete. Tell me that they make me weak, because I know that when the future looks so dark and so bleak, the world will be given back to the hands of the meek.
