The selection of this as 'POTD' disproves everything you wrote in the poem. Hmm. C'est la vie.

Hey Ben, you’re after getting a nice platform here today to air some grievances, come out and reply to the comments, otherwise all this will be forgotten tomorrow, and you will most definitely have wasted your subscription fees, but hey what would this simpleton know lol! Dear Poetic Soul, Keep writing, poetry soup is actually quite nice and allows alot of intense debates etc. but its necessary to mention not to use foul language, as we are all poets, poets are deep feelers of words, and often write as a form of catharsis, and there are too many adults (infants in adult bodies) that need little advice on how to be respectful, hence why the rules mentioned. I look forward to reading more of you. Soupers are generally talented and profound poets, very experienced, you will learn alot here about poetry and much more. On other platforms like insta etc your account gets censored and delted , but not on soup, so write away, while remaining kind and respectful. Sending you light always

Ahh this is a fun choice for POTD :) - I looked at your other titles Ben, so presume your aim is for a bit of cathartic writing. Don't worry too much about the terms and conditions, they aren't that limiting and you can mostly write freely. If your aim is to be read, then wax poetically about not meaning actual members with the simpleton remark :) also don't worry about this being your introduction to the masses - it's small fry in the grand scheme of things, good luck :)

I saw this yesterday and thought what a great POTD it would make. The algorithm outdid itself with this one. Look around, the world is full of simpletons led by the weak and blind. Your post may offend some but honesty and conviction are more important than fear of displeasure. So congrats on your honour. Always be fearless in life whatever you do.

Ben, not sure why your so disgruntled with PS? You can simply close out your account and move on. PS may have some bullies and trolls but overall it is a nice poetry site with many talented poets. I do respect freedom of speech and your words expressed. Congratulations on POTD.

Bad language often offends, but its absence never does. Also, there are kind and creative ways to express delicate feelings. No need to be crude, but that is simply my opinion.

I’m wondering exactly what it is that annoys you after only two months of membership. What do you define as ‘purity nonsense?’ Poets don’t bury their burdens here. We expose them and our minds are not weak, nor are we simpletons. If you would care to explain your title in an adult manner, I would think many of us would be interested in your opinion.

I respectfully disagree with your conclusions about Poetry Soup There is plenty of dissent in poems written here. The is also innuendo. Have you read the Limericks? If I see a poem that diametrically disagrees with my world view, I simply ignore it and move on.
