With brushes and pastels

                                     to feed the morning light

                                           if only for today

                                        Renewal and rebirth

                                       to see a color change

                                        Use your crystal ball

                                          with the opal eye

                                      Secrets and mysteries

                                       escape from reality

                                     Harmony and sympathy

                                          November frosts

                                          with sharp claws

                                        Summer's last rose

                                    with a sprinkle of "sugar"

                                                It is ...

                                    magic in free expression

Premium Member A Sprinkle of Wit

A sprinkle of wit
      a dash of gravitas
    Not too precise
      idle your abacus

    A pinch of clarity
      to seek the cavity
    Where truth seeps in
      where daylight dawns

Premium Member A Sprinkle of Muse

Before I begin I must sprinkle some muse
The main ingredient for the words I'll choose
I'll add in some metaphors with a sprig of thyme
Then I'll add in two cups of rhyme

I'll then drop a pepper into the pot
And slices of sadness to make you tear up
I'll even add assonance, perhaps just a cup
There will be passion as the poem gets hot

A bit of personification with tomatoes I'll then stew
I'll add a teaspoon of alliteration too
This dish will be spicy just by default
I'll sprinkle my similes with a pinch of salt

With limericks, a dash of humor is thrown
Hope it will tickle your funny bone
With syllable count not a vowel to waste
My poem is cooked please take a taste!

Premium Member - A Bouquet Star Sprinkle -

   I do not need
   map or compass
   to find your heart
   The special light
   from the stars
   will strength
   our love

   Look in the east
   at nightfall
   If the planet
   is close enough
   to the stars
   I could pick
   big bouquets
   for you
   with my hands

Premium Member Can I Have Blue Sprinkle

A happy small boy, only four,
Pure joy, is knocking at the door.
He slowly climbs up on the bed
As his daddy pretends to snore.

He snuggles close and lays his head
With an angelic smile that spread
From ear to ear, wanting to play.
I love you, his proud daddy said.

In Micky Mouse P.J.s, Jay,
Jumps up and down wanting his way,
Then down on the bed on his butt
Lands with a mischievous smile. Yea!

Can I get blue sprinkles doughnut,
And go to the park with Peanut?
Play on the slide in the playground,
And drive go-karts, and go putt, putt.

Yelping delight, Peanut the hound
A bouncing step, off onward bound;
Sticky blue frosting covered face,
Round, round on the merry-go-round.

Sprinkle of Love

the beach is nature's playground
building sandcastles and splashing in the sea
as the wind blows through the beach
as cool as the gulf of lepanto
the waves washes away my stress
like water washes away, and leaving you pure
as it makes that beautiful sound
the waves lapping at my feets
feeling the ambience
i stood up looking into the water
the vast ocean has beauty all its own
i can feel the calmness of the chilly sea breeze on my body
i can feel each grain of sand
the warmth of the heat wraps me up
evoking the earth-mother in me
i can hear the grafting roar of the pebbles
it was a beauteous evening
the wind wafting my hair
the birds flying overhead and soar
a better place for a long walk with your soulmate
as we Nestle together
as i move towards the edge of the sea
bringing out the child in me
my feets leaving a footprint
as the beach never loses its inherent charm

Sprinkle More Lies

Sprinkle More Lies

Sweet little lies we bank upon when the heart goes weak
And insecurities bar ears from wanting to hear truths
Yet beautiful in themselves, bringing surplus happiness

My little babe fell down and bruised her knee
She wailed loud to raise a pandemonium
I medicated her wound and kissed it
And clicked my fingers saying, 'It is fine!'
My love looked at her bandaged knee
Smiled, hugged me and scooted off to play

She worked her way up to graduation level
On the day of her final exam she was nervous
She hadn't heard the alarm ring making her frantic
I calmed her nerves, gave her sweetened curd
Telling, 'God's honeyed blessings are with you!'
Trust in my words worked like magical fulfilments

In the flow of life we are buffeted with embankments
So strong that it can't erode despite flooded waters
Childhood experiences became lessons to face realities
A serious mishap wasted my looks and left me with a limp
My girls and hubby hovered around, 'Wow Mom!
You look more gorgeous !' and I worked towards recovery

Our lives are enmeshed in beautiful webs of lies
Stretching like oceans steering towards the skies
Shower more joys in my life with these sweet little lies!

Premium Member Sprinkle a Little Kindness

It is easy to be kind and it does not cost a thing. But, to someone it is
everything and could make their day. You can extend your kindness to
animals also. They appreciate kindness too. Just think about how God
would treat people he met in his day. He is a good life teacher in my
opinion. A simple smile to a homeless person on the street, some coins
for their outstretched hand, perhaps buy them a coffee even a meal ...

 I saw a man beg
for some money on the street ...
could be my brother

Saying please and thank you is not hard to do, thank the waitress or the
server. Be kind and give them a tip. Thank the grocery cashier, what did
that cost? Be courteous to sales clerks, they are just trying to make a
living. When talking of someone only use kind words, remembering that
God is listening. Don't be the bearer of bad news or tragic news or even
harmful news. Instead bring light into the world with your words, let
the sun shine through you like a wonderful glow ... just by being kind.

  bring a little sun
put it in your coat pocket ...
sprinkle where needed

Sprinkle the Sea

"sprinkle the sea"
if I had a wish just one wish what would it be
please grant such thoughts and sprinkle the sea
to have crystal blue waters living within me
my heart and soul would breathe forever free
with this desire comes glorious golden sands
warmth and silk I can hold in both my hands
upon my feet I'll experience splendid strands
feeling such soft crystals meet all my demands
please hear this plea and find in your heart
sprinkle the sea and have it be a new start
so this wonder and I will never be far apart
have her be a place for me to be when I depart
with this wish include the sun so bright
therefore I will live eternally in light

Stardust Sprinkle Falls

As stardust sprinkle falls
Across my eyes causing
Me to get very sleepy
While I slept
I had dreams of sugar plums
Dancing in the air
I watched and giggled
With excitement, like a child
My dreams are
Like a story in a book
Next, I had visions of Santa
Stuck inside a chimney with
Christmas gifts in his hands
While, the reindeers band together
To free him
I saw m&m’s candy
Break dancing on the
Dance floor
Spinning upside down on
Their big round heads
Chocolate falls hard and
Cracks her shell
Pieces of her were
All over the floor
Later, I was trapped
Inside of a giant bubble
It bursted, sending me
Sprawling to the floor
Which cause me to awaken
Foolishly I looked around
Thinking it was real

Premium Member A Sprinkle of Fun

Worry and pain
Wind and rain
Masks and cleaners
A porch with boxes
Movies about dreamers
Still a natural anti-depressant
Above the juicer in the cabinet
Yes wine summons but more for the heart
Dark chocolate beckons
Powders, cookies and bars
And those luscious sprinkles from the stars

To Sprinkle-

Devotional songs
From far celestial shrine
In rhythmic raining

Heer-Ranjha in love
In the adorable grave
Wears garland of lamps

Jasmine showers yard
For your magical presence
I'm fondly attached

Soul of destiny
Blooms in buds of yearning eyes
Speechless exchanging

Rose petals greets you
To the nameless monk ocean
Like foreigner's wish

To near soul to soul
Being elusive lover
As an apostate

Sojourner all are
Eternal alive in shrine
To sprinkle love mauve

The Crossroads

No one understands the personal battles.
No one knows that pain
That I go through every single day.
Darkness constantly attacking my brain.

I go through thoughts that would make
The common man insane.
On my own to the point where my
Imagination created its own domain.

Targeted and picked on because I don’t drink
Or engage with champagne.

But that’s beside the point.

They criticize me when I complain.
I legitimize what I sustain.

People tried to make it rain
When I couldn’t make it sprinkle.
People live their lives in vain
While I live mine just single.
Some men dream to run a train.
I dreamed to be the shingle
To complete the roof over the heads
Of my generation so that the
Truth could intermingle.

And....

Forget it.
