Notes About The Poem
I babysit my grandson during the weekends and every moring he crawls on my bed and ask for sprinkle dounut at 6:30 when he wakes up. A face I cannot refuse.
Can I Have Blue Sprinkle
A happy small boy, only four,
Pure joy, is knocking at the door.
He slowly climbs up on the bed
As his daddy pretends to snore.
He snuggles close and lays his head
With an angelic smile that spread
From ear to ear, wanting to play.
I love you, his proud daddy said.
In Micky Mouse P.J.s, Jay,
Jumps up and down wanting his way,
Then down on the bed on his butt
Lands with a mischievous smile. Yea!
Can I get blue sprinkles doughnut,
And go to the park with Peanut?
Play on the slide in the playground,
And drive go-karts, and go putt, putt.
Yelping delight, Peanut the hound
A bouncing step, off onward bound;
Sticky blue frosting covered face,
Round, round on the merry-go-round.
