Sky covers her nakedness
with the raiment of clouds
Stars array in circular patterns
to stage a group ballet
Amid, sits queen moon
in silken robes and a silver diadem
bathed in garish light
with a flash of amber and a blaze of gold
like a halogen lamp
Soon clouds will make way for
the royal maidens’ ramp walk
across the long isle of the firmament
Keep your eyes raised
for the spectacular show
Shove your way to the dais
to get a better peek!

Spectacular World
Sunbeams sparkle dizzily dancing atop butterflies’ wings,
Provocative moon flaunts her heavenly body, whispering sweet nothings,
Enchanting creations all uniquely beautiful and beloved in God’s sight,
Colorful diversity in nature is truly a sensational delight.
Treasures at the end of rainbows – pots of green, yellow, and red so bright,
Astonishing hues of passionate purple, beguiling blue, and angelic white.
Centuries-old comets flash across rhinestone-studded, black velvet sky,
Unbounded by time and space, enjoying a celestial ride up so high.
Life-giving universe is such an amazing wonder to behold;
At its center our brilliant sun radiates fiery bronze and gold,
Revolving in panoramic glory…showcasing a spectacular world.

"Same old, same old" say those sad, uninspired
People who feel that life should be required
Each day to regale them with something new,
Coax them with an irresistible view
That promises many a grand tomorrow,
Abundant joys beyond the status-quo.
Can't they see that sunrise, sunset, flowers,
Unglamorous duties, snows, spring showers,
Laughter, tears, family, repetition--
All blend to bring life plans to fruition?
Real life is a SPECTACULAR mission.

Scintillating snowflakes floating gently to the ground
Painting the landscape white, they don’t make a sound
Every single shimmering snowflake has a unique design
Catch them on your gloves and hands, they look so divine
Transforming our world to a winter wonderland
Aesthetically pleasing, our gardens look so grand
Children build huge snowmen; they have so much fun
Until the snow begins to melt beneath the winter sun
Lovely soft snowflakes swirling are a glorious sight
All around us our surroundings turn a wintry white
Real beauty captivates our eyes in our wonderful world

Scene of such grand pageantry, men flock to view in legions.
Phenomenon to behold in most Northern of Earth's regions.
Energies of atmospheric particles meet and burst in collision
Creating the most illustrious spectacle dancing into my vision.
Trails, as if rising to Heaven, glowing phosphorous apparition.
Aurora Borealis; cascades of light stretching across the skies
Curl and wave in beauteous rhapsody before awestruck eyes.
Under guise of king and queen, they dance as pawns look on.
Luminous waltzing monarchs on their chess board until dawn.
Alluring colors blending, shades of red, purple, green and blue,
Radiant aura painted by the hand of God, a gift for me and you.

Overhead, skeins of geese begin their annual flight.
Colorful robes of foliage adorn the trees for our delight.
Towering mountains wear crowns of glistening snow.
Over earth the harvest moon casts it's mellow glow.
Babbling brooks will soon be covered with shimmering ice.
Enterprising squirrels gather their winter's fare to suffice.
Radiant sunsets are painted by the Master Artist that are so nice!

In one's life they can be taken by surprise
I mean totally caught off guard
It didn't come instantly
I have not fully arrived
Because there's so much to uncover
There's so much to explore
I'm in good space and this feels good
Is it love?
I'm certain that it is
But in its beginning stage
What's in my heart can be compared
to a flower bud
That has not bloomed all the way
But when is in full bloom it will be a
spectacular sight
I wrote you this love note to say I've
fallen in love with you
verdent valley has a refreshing feel
I am invigorated and renewed
my soul feels cleansed by the cold grass
I sit low, looking at the individual blades
the color is fascinating, God’s color
replicated in the leaves of a walnut tree
and the healthy balls of her fruits
spectacular colors that wake me up
and make me feel alive and joyful
After winter’s cold, Apple Blossoms unfold.
Bright, fresh spring brings Bluebells to behold.
Cheery Blossoms burst then dance to ground.
Delightful Dahlias bloom spring all around.
Eastern Redbuds warm cold winter emotion and
Fresh Freesia compliments each spring notion.
Gardenias touch each faith-filled belief.
Hardy Heath hones its spring dream leaf.
Impatiens show the power of flowers.
Jasmine’s scent is softly layered while
Kangaroo Paws hang from the upper air.
Lilacs quench thirsty human eyes as
Magnolias generate sincere, awed sighs.
Nippon Spirea buds use spring to tantalize.
Orchid blooms are a spring-spectacular and
Prime Primrose buds are ever popular.
Quality Quince pome fruit is a beauty.
Ready Ranunculus do their spring duty.
Springtime Sweet Peas and Spirea do their part.
Tender Tartarian Dogwoods warm our hearts.
Uplifting Ursinia blooms heed spring’s call.
Viburnum clusters daintily enthrall
While Wax flowers please us, one and all.
Xeranthemum Sunflowers’ charms never lack.
Yellow Anemone’s sweet power packs and
Zennias’ zest tell us that spring is back.
Stock-still in gold dawn light while many sleep,
perched, scanning, on abandoned termite heap.
Expectant, skin tingles as in cold breeze
contrasting with the stillness of the trees.
The tracking beeper focuses our minds
as aerial picks target from behind.
Cheetah ten yards away now caught off guard
upwind of us, head cocked and staring hard.
Long looks exchanged, unspoken things are passed
and finally, spell broken, goes at last.
Reeling, those breathless minutes went so fast.
A memory of my time in Namibia, 2009, and the above
photo was taken by me. We nicknamed him 'Blackeye'. No fence between us. Awesome.

Squiggly lines in the sky become fish that quickly swim away.
Peonies bloom with bursts big and bright, making a splendid display.
Eye-popping patterns of pyrotechnics thrill the young and old.
Colors that crackle make cherry flowers that beautifully unfold.
Trails of sparks can glitter the sky in gold or silvery ways.
Aerial treats are these while anthems play; the heavens are ablaze!
Chrysanthemums, palms, and waterfalls too are capturing our gaze.
Universal in appeal, how traditional fireworks are -
Lights that lift like rockets though they never go too far!
Amazing plethora of pops - the patriot’s delight.
Revelry accompanies the grandest show of the night!

Sun sets predictably each day in the west
Painting pictures as it drops behind the hills
Each one a kaleidoscope of ever changing colors
Captured in the mind and heart of men
Teasing us with their brief appearance
Again and again we attempt to hold on to its message
Calling out in despair as they slip away once more
Useless this quest it always seems
Lest we forget, these colors are heaven sent
And this gift is not of this world
Rejoice and enjoy and wait for tomorrow’s spectacle
