Best Sounding Off Poems
The Las Vegas shootings were Horrific.
The people running as the rapid fire was
sounding off in the background!
The wild fires in California, fifteen people
dead, and it is not controlled yet!
Hurricanes Maria, Irma, Jose, southern
coast is devastated, Puerto Rico is in need
of help!
Pizza Gate Pedophile rings in America!
Players kneeling and disrespecting our flag
for which Men and Women have sacrificed
their lives for.
Enough is Enough!
You will Not Steal My Joy, I reach for the remote
and turn off the "Joy Stealer" the TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Michael Tor Inspired by Andrea Dietrich
I heard a crackling
fire, flashing
like shooting stars.
I heard a memory, exploding -
shooting stars bursting forth
in passion, beating through me
reminiscent, sparking thoughts
of you in ebony night.
Our love rekindled,
soft words soothed in whispers,
aside dancing flames –
popping, sizzling, snapping.
Dreams ablaze.
We, falling into wilderness,
embraced each touch, bare
brush of flushed skin,
kissing, smouldering trace of lips,
each pounding pulse of blood -
our limbs entangled,
our ebb and flow,
crunching leaves
under strokes of sound,
lost in a rush of fervent breath
as winds whistled, whirling
through evening trees.
I remember crickets chirping,
sounding off in breezy sway of grasses flow -
a love song birthed timeless in the thin haze
of a beautiful, summer night,
and I remember sounds
of a rippling lake nearby,
the hoot of a Great Horned Owl,
the faraway howl of a lone coyote,
and dreams flicker in ruffled sounds of love birds,
silent in song,
nestled above,
still creating music -
a gentle, rhythm
asleep on rustling bough.
We, enraptured, were fully aware
yet blissfully unaware of tender night
playing a lover’s symphony all around –
a romantic serenade for two.
On nights like this, I remember.

Take a moment to lose yourself,
Lose yourself in beauty.
You'll wonder why it took so long,
To see it as your duty,
To look around, be thankful for,
And count your many blessings,
Instead of griping and complaining,
Sounding off and stressing,
Because your life is not the best,
Everything's not perfect.
In everything you see and touch,
You seem to find some defect.
Well every garden has some bugs,
And every rose has thorns.
We all have some cross to bear,
From the moment that we're born;
But there is beauty everywhere,
Everywhere you look,
In the sunshne, in the rain,
The meadows, rivers, brooks.
Take a moment to enjoy,
The beauty of it all.
It makes one ill to always live,
With annoyance pall.
With no computer tying me down
I'm at a loss just what to do.
I've tried reading, crosswords, gardening
writing poems and stories too.
I've done woodwork, painting and cleaning things
the home shines like a new pin.
I've swept the paths and cleaned the windows
and given the hedges a trim.
When the computers been repaired once more
I'll cut back on its use.
No more hours of wasting time for me
No more of that abuse.
My nerves are in a better state
My blood pressure's been reduced
There's been no shouting at the screen
with a face that's coloured puce.
I can actually talk, so I've been told,
in a calm and peaceful way.
No bug eyed bellowing, sounding off
or ranting through the day.
I think I'm cured of computer sickness
I'm human once again.
So when that computer comes back home,
I'll leave the thing alone.
Really!
Saying all these things really make things right.
Acting just the same, on a different night.
Moving close to you, makes me feel so right.
A kiss on the cheek, really turns me on.
A touch on the lips, kind of sounds like fun..
Next to you..That's where I want to be, is..
Next to you.
I hope you're feeling fine, when I'm..
Next to you..
I'll be feeling just the same, when I'm..
Next to you.
Next to you.
Next to you...
Sounding off the gun, when we start the race..
Staring in your eyes, when I see your face.
Looking to the west, when the sun goes down.
Moving next to you, never makes me frown.
When we're holding hands, it really makes my day.
A kiss on the lips, only makes me stay..
Next to you..
That's where I want to be is..
Next to you..
I hope you're feeling fine, when I'm..
Next to you..
I'll be feeling just the same, when I'm...
Next to you.
Next to you.
Next to you..

Every once a while, we should let loose and let all out...
Letting off steam, it cleanses and refreshes inside out...
But in unloading our sorrows and giving off heated steam..
We might sound overly dejected and advised to see a psychiatrist. ..
Psychiatrist sounds a bit drastic as compared to a counsellor.....
Rephrase that and assume he's a highly paid counsellor...
Of course if you shop around, he can always be a she...
And her service and advice could be well worth her costly fees...
Just to put in my 2 cents worth since we're on this topic...
Of sounding off our heavy crosses and feeling over-burdened..
Guess we're not alone for life is full of challenges however you view it.....
These are problems when you look at them from another perspective..
The secret to enjoying life to the fullest is how one balances...
Straddling the fine line that separates the jolly from the melancholy...
It is an even finer line that separates the sane from acts of insanity...
There have been so many of incidents of people acting beyond human sanity...
So to be brief, and not to sound condescending at all....
Life is all about making the right choices while mucking through it all...
Count your blessings, there have been so many, even the little ones....
They are all antidotes for each negative, strike them out one by one...
For just like the law of opposites, or physics if you must know...
There is always a reaction force when there is a force...
Likewise in life, discover the positives to offset the negative ones...
After all, life is too short to be worrisome or to suffer through it all...
Help! Help me!
I've committed a crime so stupid
Why didn't I listen to the signs
They held 'Forbidden' written in blood
yet I was too intrigued by curiosity
to tuck tail turn away
The fruit so sweet, so tantalizing
like a siren to pirates
became a wagging finger of smoke, beckoning seductively
Disastrous, catastrophic
this has turned out to be
They are covering every inch of this city
breaking in buildings
searching in streams
shooting townsfolk
all in search of me
and like a coward I flee for my life
in less than perfect stride
to save my own behind
Masterpiece, this city was a masterpiece
now it's a wreck
City of Bones
City of Rubble
City of Despair
City of Betrayal
cause I'm betraying the ones I said I'd never leave
but I tread on pebbles
near the city of gates
unguarded, unprotected
but I laugh so treacherous
while I see the explosions sounding off dismayal
Sound betrayal, sound betrayal
while I leave unscarred, unscathed, disturbed
Resolutions each January I feel I must do. Early February I will say good bye to you. Sounding off about what I did not do. Only makes me feel more blue. Lingering regrets I now have. Using my will power did not help. Tomorrow is another day. I will try again next year. Oh no the year is almost over. Now comes another resolution for the New Year. Saying I will be better this year and will try again with a new plan

No bitterness, better than me
No measurement of sour, nor apple pulled off
No old man on a corner talking to himself
No old story
No hurt that hadn’t hurt already
No cause for sounding off
No worse than you
No reason for all the things said
No worry, when no one worries, when I’m dead
No reason
No reasonable rhyme
No worries while I’m
No wonder. . . out of time, with
No bitter. . . less. . . than what I left behind
rooster sounding off all up with the dawn breaking work must start today

Today's pain
is tomorrow's gain
My Hustle
is yesterday's struggle
High rates of death
increasing like inflation
This is a dedication
for those who died for our nation
This goes out for that father
who earns his honest living
So he joins the Army of One
& his only thoughts is killing
Thumping of a 50 Cal'
while the M4 clapping
I remember soldiers
used to prepare for a war
that will never happen
Thunderous marching by troops
about to set it off
Loud Boisterious voices
of cadence sounding off
If you don't have GOD
you better have some spritually
Everything you've seen in your nightmares
is now a reality
Fighting to live, as we live to fight
brothers in Arms, as we all unite
Forty-rounds through the chamber
the barrel hot like the sun
cold steel rips through flesh
or you can die by the gun!!!
With every coming of spring,
it is such a wonderful thing.
I hear a chorus of bird song in the morning.
Oh how sweet they sing!
The rising sun is what I see.
Our feathered friends are sounding off in harmony.
They seem to be calling to me
as they perch themselves up in each tree.

Painting #6 Theater by Mary Cassatte 1879
Fragile
Captivated, alive,
every ounce of her being,
coming to life, every delicate
emotion danced.
Every mastered note romanced
her deeply, a love affair long-lasting
dare not end tonight, dare not
bow as the curtain closes
hiding from her
fluttering heart.
Sounding off as the drumbeat
fades into the dressing room,
reveal your face. She beckons
her love as the
curtain remains
closed.
we strolled midtown for awhile
hints of sun followed us beneath the
bavarian alps i was taken by
the snow capped mountains creating
a brilliant show of diamond crystals
calmly reflecting from storefront windows
holiday displays of santa klaus at his best
i would say we continued past rows of homes
collected like doll house's just to the left a tiny
bike shop i rushed in grabbing the new basket
to fill with fresh granny smiths from thee upcoming
market in view just to the right african violets lined
the the entrance way leading
to the hidden park
a quiet nook in the middle of town square i thought
masculine most of all quite charming face to face with
the subtle statue of thomas mann my form changed
i was abruptly aroused by his daringness fine liturature
art and playwright mann consumed me with folklores
gothic tales the infamous lounging of salzsburg crest
instantly a brisk chill blew over my foundation dazed i was
walking upon frauenkirch
our lady of munich doting downward to my tiny existence
i gathered myself in a very suspicious haste walking backwards
staight into the kneeling black horse knightless his back emptied
a daunting task for the bishop beyond my fascination
of castles christmas past nutcrackers wooden trains walking dolls
springs bolts screws and coo coo clocks sounding off at midday
displaying the woodcutters the milking maids in german town
Silent evaporative collection up high
White touches the blue, the spectrums delight
Your presence dictates the mood down below
With oceans and trees respirations you grow
Your gloom makes us weary and your absence brings praise
Working nonstop, both nighttime and day
Pillowy softness at first the pretense
Hollow and void lightning a defense
Surrounding our spaces wherever we go
Sounding off loudly ions explode
Beautiful violence, tranquil and serene
Cumulonimbus electrostatic machines
