Premium Member Oh, Autumn

Oh, splendorous, spectacular, resplendent autumn!

Boldly you dye cypress ~ flaunting ochre, cinnamon,
Yellowing sugar-maple, glazing tangerine emotions,

As scarlet winds warble in accents of majestic aspens,
Responding in purple whispers, tupelo leaves flutter

Reminiscing in revelries evoked by red-oak crimson
Lingering in blazing meadows, enchanting red maple.

Oh, autumn! fly me there, into depths of the season,
Frolicking upon gamboge hills, wrap me in your vision,

Tour with me dazzling terrains of flamboyant foliage
Composing deep pleasure in brilliant changing colors,

Hang your portrait upon cobalt cliffs of ruby horizon
Painting blushing hearts in amber hints of setting sun,

Mindful still of wistful shudders quivering barren trees
And unsung withering yearnings of falling golden leaves,

Aspiring blossoming kisses--on lips of flowering spring.

There's an obscurity on the threads of darkness
dare I peer beneath the starless shroud of midnight's veil
as I walk through the misty breath that beclouds my vision
in hopes it leads me to the temple of your soul? My dearest
my comfort is there, yet I feel a quivering in the flames
beneath these gusts that prevail through inaudible voices falling
winded in the distance where these shadows walk between us
I feel discernment in memories as these bony fingers reach out
my heart shudders beneath the orchestra of night as it beckons
a samba from the angel of death as it spans its wings before me
I shiver breathless in its cold as the flames grow dimmer
yet this time love, I fear for you as dissolution ascends above me

Muddled mind ventures through vivid vales of scepticism.
Slowly subsiding to my knees under the shadow of moonlight,
crows gathers as helpless hands clench decomposing soil.
Sapless lips gasp for oxygen, shivering in illusory mistiness.
Death's harbinger stands before me, an uninvited hooded eclipse,
holding me prisoner, strangling my soul with naked tree tendrils.
In silent steps he walks towards me, I have no will left to fight.
He has no mercy, content on me kissing the mouth of the earth.
Words hidden behind metaphors, surface upon shores of regret,
flashbacks are like daggers, reminders of unspoken, unwritten words.
My love mourn for me not, as I fall into the graveyards of poets,
in death we still connect, as my words will always live through you.

Premium Member Zeal of November

My evening sky glints motifs gold
In orange vibes turned ruby bold
Glowing remnants of shining snow
Where pewter winds merrily blow
Swirling imprints of amber glaze
Bending hues of setting sun rays

Prairies sway season’s dreaded hold
Wailing in grief, as blossoms fold,
For fallen leaves and wintry woe
That shudders trees in frosted throe
While browning pastures cattle graze
Where foothills gleam in twilight haze

When fervor yawns in dreary mold
And garden sighs of parching cold
Pine trees, ebullient, dance in row
Enchanting hearts in nature’s show
While ogling the stars passions blaze
As romance blooms in moonlit gaze

On horizon mauve dreams unfold
Where blush of morn lovers behold
Greeting November's scarlet glow
That tawny dawn's sunbeams bestow
Glistening face of shortened days
Wooing warmth in autumn's malaise

Ascending above sanctum of horizon, a dawn inflames the effulgent rays,
Enlightening daybreak as embers of light set the scarlet morning ablaze
Projecting golden beams on hushed venues, in beatific style, not seen in a while,
Glittering on grass in vivid dewdrops, glinting ornamental autumnal smile.

Riding the path of shortened days, marigold passions eloquently evoke
Enchanting colors of resplendent meadows--sensuous vibes tenderly stoke
When traversing upon a vibrant blue-arc, solar-noon invokes seasons warm
Where cumulus clouds stroll the meridian, amid nary a sign of rainy storm.

Seeking affinity of ruby dusk, a spectrum inscribes on gilded evening skies
Iridescent emotions in colors of romance, pleasing desires of amorous eyes
As falling leaves waltz, in leisurely dance, attuned to song of sunset breeze
Descending slowly with vanishing sun, in forlorn shudders of barren trees.

Premium Member This Old Oak-Tree Smiling Through My Balcony

This old oak-tree smiling through my balcony
Sways and swings cheerily, a happy emissary,
Budding new vigor upon tiny greenish leaves
Adorning exuberance of idyllic new morning,
Quivering golden-beams on dawning of spring.

When the sun rises, blushing mauve feelings,
Its gentle oscillations fetch tender sensibilities
Inviting sparrows to grace the stage of robins
In spontaneous outburst of ceremonial music--
Chirping, twittering, singing for the hatchlings.

As summer of my mind churns wistful stories,
Its white blossoms waltz tender warm breeze
And leaves flutter merrily, twirling to comfort me
When thoughts bygone nudge parched vagaries
Engrossed in realm of burned-out memories.

When autumn turns green into fiery-red leaves
As ruby sundown glitters on amethyst evening
And gusty winds rustle-in endlessly, ferociously,
Whirling flying colors, floating crimson revelries;
A few remnants cling-on, loath to forsake me.

Yet, brazenly I gaze away, ignoring its appeal
When harsh winter shudders essence of its being,
Quivering, shivering bare-skinned branches;
Staying beguiled instead on top of frozen hills
Where sunset articulates ochre-tinged themes.

We Are All the Same
Listen to the reeds as they sway apart;
Hear them speak of lost friends.
At birth, you were cut from your bed,
Crying and grasping in separation.
Everyone listens, knowing your song.
You yearn for others who know your name,
And the words to your lament.
We are all the same, all the same,
Longing to find our way back;
Back to the one, back to the only one.
Rumi

When songs are sung in tandem
Ambience of speech is smooth
Devoted eyes dote your voice
Obsessed puppy love

When words echo tender tones
Glowing like sapphire gemstones
Not veiled behind metaphors
Tranquil tongue sounds calm

As triggers summon demons
Vivid verses turn vicious
Rage screams like a million crows
Heart shudders with fear

Soul struggles to beat and breathe
Pain feels like paper in rain
Silence is your only guide
Lonely sepulchre

Eruptions begin to ease
An anthem of angels chant
Rainbows colour fading greys
Lovebirds serenade

Premium Member Happy New Year From the Unicorns

So far I've done everything I could possibly do this year.
I've given thorough thought to cleaning up my act.
These early-day hours have been rough-house
The storm shudders inside me are all grimy, they need tending to,
I just need to find them first.
So tired from last night,
Riding unicorns through the stars.
(No one believes me.)
Trouble is we're all blinking too fast for our own good as it is.
I've done everything I've promised to do this year, so far,
And I haven't even made the promises yet.
That's how interesting I've been lately.
You have no idea how hard it is to be this interesting.
Riding Bellyglow through the thrushes of song birds...
I probably don't know, either.
What a bucket of letters this is.
Thanks for Peking, thanks for Hong Kong.
Happy New Year.

Premium Member Where Willows Sway

Where willows sway in wintry woe
Sunrise shimmers on falling snow
While crimson dawn in scarlet rays
Glimmers the face of morning’s haze
As new day smiles on golden glow

On whirling winds white flurries blow
Autumn's remnants in frozen throe
While winter shudders frosted glaze
Where willows sway

Giggling blue streams struggle to flow
On thawing prairie’s splendid show
As snowflakes glisten parched malaise
Clueless that soon spring will amaze
When in meadows blossoms will grow
Where willows sway

Yield Not, But Know

Ash - grey chemised
she shifts her shape
as silver flakes float coat
stripped naked places,
sheath curves and angled spaces
Angry glitter tingle stings
thick earth skin with prickly flames
and rumble rise regurgitates
shimmy - shake shudders
in magma's deep thrombosis.

Her feather boa plume
tightens hot cloud chokehold,
acrid smoke flung up in air
without a care, heat exhumes
her arrival, announced fiery flounce -
Hot air blast flicks ash everywhere

Grande dame, her vital force runs hot,
and bold, red and gold- full blooded flow,
feisty fight to escape fate,
inner pulses push a violent urge
to bleed and drape red lava's cape
across green fields, human habitations
Unplacated, rising up, proud impairment
anger virulent, out of hellbent
immolation via pyramidal vent.
She lifts her tiara, red ruby globs,
hurls evidence in defense - great blobs
of royal reign - no abdication!

Throaty roars rend intonation
into screeching supplications -
She knows full well, soon enough,
her phoenix fate infarction
Too late for earth's burst heart
High drama is a living, dying art
Impassioned pleas too late for some,
Earth's burnout buries victims in her wake

High on an island hill,
the boy lay crushed, and still
on temple altar, throat cut, bled out
Hurried offering, did not appease,
nor bring softening release
for angry, ancient mountain
Head caved in by falling blocks
of measured, square cut stone,
the priest grovelled on his knees
Gravel filled their mouths, no space for pleas
No one heard half- whispered final groans

And Earth, once she settled down,
murmured not another sound

Premium Member A Skim-Milk Sky

Like a damp bath towel,
a wet mist wraps itself around my shoulders
and my spine shudders at its touch.

A skim-milk sky retains a bluish tinge
as a yellow sun swims behind a reef of clouds
absorbing its light like a thirsty sponge.

And I see my world through a gray lens
that distorts my vision;
like I'm wearing the wrong prescription glasses.
There is no color other than shades of gray;
it's as if Autumn's heart were pierced,
and it all bled away.

Premium Member Intimate Truth

She walks with dreams, deep passions woo,
Into euphoric ambience of a moonlit night
Carrying sweet secret, so intimate and true,
Sprouting in her womb blossoms of delight.

Though they are together, he feels all alone,
Trapped in turbulence of memories unkind,
Nothing she can say would emotions atone
Grief of matrimony he chose to leave behind.

Agitating unspoken, dissonant pulse of strife
His turmoiled heartbeats now brutally amplify
Frightened by weary past to embrace a new-life
When spiteful bonds of yore earnestly decry.

She tries, yet decides, now is not the time
Waiting till moon and stars are so inclined
To witness with Venus, dear-moment sublime
And unveil the script that destiny designed.

Clenched clandestine vibes utter a soft sigh
As happily her stomach churns butterflies;
And, until next-time, she bids him goodbye,
When they’ll guess the color of baby’s eyes.

Vulnerable she feels now, how will he react:
Will he welcome baby, yet harp in the past?
Will he face with courage or opt to retract?
Convulsed, she shudders~ will this love last?

Laughing Atmospheres

Laughing Atmospheres

It floats in the morning dew
Settles with diamonds
On cobwebs who
Catch dreams on their threads

The sensual quiet of dawn
Imbues
The grass blades are whispering
To the sifted chanting
Of being One

In a glittering pool
The sea
Dances every possibility
Day bright answers to the
Begun
Shafts brilliance of the sun

Calling loud
With its perpetual anthem
Loud call
To the rest of the world

And here it comes

The daybreaks begin
Leaping from my chest
It seems
Rushing to laughing atmospheres
Peaks
On white bathed angels
Wings expand

Sends me out
Higher than the light
In my eyes

Gathering to the quintessence
Point
The beating monument
Of my heart
Single holds on to intense
Shudders delight
Through every sense

I am soaring skies

I see her eyes

I
Left unbound to the anchoring ground
I
Hear the word
The catapult of love
Universal soundings climax
Imparts
Beneath the eyes of God
When we both were created
As one

She holds my cheek
And the ghostly press
Of lips meet
I
Confess my soul
To the indomitable
Flow
Of love

And the orchestral designs of morning
Send this rockets emotive
Burning
Reaching
Powered to pinicles
In a cavalcade chords
Goes racing
Cavorting

Climbing every space
My spirit
Has loosed upon the chase
To its welcome home
For such an exuberant ride
All on its own
Takes it place
At her side

I

It is there
Where I belong
You see
Every atom
And concept of me
Has always been
Since God created us
Both
As one

Sleepless Valentine

Sleepless Valentine

I took the pinkie blue cuddlesome bear
And by its blood scarlet bow
Noose tied hung it
Too soft
With its felted heart
And false cute sentiment

And with eyes burning hot
I tore it down
Fluffy bear
Thrown to the ground
Where
The petal shard-ed reds of rose
Lay dashed
On broken stems

Thrashed to the corner
The puffy pleading little arms
And big round mollusc eyes
And cutie pie smile
So in bare feet
I could trample flowers
In a Disney valentine

Till I lay on my bed
Groaning, shudders and weeping
And all the words I wrote
Of love
Couldn’t stop the pleading
Of my heart
Not to feel these empty arms

Riled against my pillow I did
And scratched and tore
At cold cotton sheets
While images of you
Lay my souls ever itch in my head
While my blood screamed
With dead Rosetta Rosaceae

And this nights sleepless toss and turn
Has not begun
Has not lifted an eye lid
And stolen my dreams
No
The long dawn has not even begun
To bleed its way through solitary hours
And find me capitulated
In the teddy bear whispers
Of the night still ahead

I must steal myself instead
And continue to hanker after the witches red
Of ringlet hair
And bend my will
To sullen acceptance
No
Not together
No
Not yet

Shudders In Echoes

~

“I'd never known her to cry”

Her smile that warms
every heart that it touches
Springtime and daisies,
blue morning skies

“but this time is different for sure”

As rivers stop flowing
neath cloud altered whispers
set off in regrets
of sorrow filled cries

“she's shaking with tears in her eyes”

Knees meeting soil
her face now she’s hiding
shudders in echoes
of pain she does know

“as she picks up what’s left of the night”

In moon beam intentions
now star lit and lonely
I hold her in comfort
so my love does show
