Best Shih Tzu Poems
A novice pet store clerk named Keatcue
Was told by a client to have a Shih-Tzu.
The clerk thought that a personal smear,
And barked insults into the client’s ear
Thus putting himself into deep Shih-Tzu doo.
Known by many as a Shih Tzu
All by itself, in it's own cage
One is a zoo, could it be true?
I know what it is, at this stage
All by itself, in it's own cage
With a cute little smashed in face
I know what it is at this stage
They are the same, the breed and place
With a cute little smashed in face
One is a zoo, could it be true?
They are the same, the breed and place
Known by many as a Shih Tzu
May I be so bold as to allow me to pet your li'l wee sniggler
Forgive me for being so forward
But I couldn't help noticing you have tied a big red bow on it
Is there some hidden significance to this addition
It really wasn't necessary you know
Coz your li'l wee sniggler is not something I wouldn't have noticed
Congratulations on your National Enquirer feature
With you and your wee sniggler cavorting in the shower
Didn't think it liked water with it's tendency to shrivel up
Believe me, if you allowed me to cavort in the shower with you and it
I would certainly keep it occupied and take its mind off
Its dislike of water and I would do my best to stimulate its senses
That has got to be the cutest li'l wee sniggler
I have ever layed my hands on... err, I mean eyes on!
For those of you out there in poetryland
A li'l wee sniggler is actually a cute little doggie known as a Shih Tzu
What were you guys thinking, you naughty people!!!!!
What is this silly nonsense! :)

When you're burgling, awareness is best;
When he saw her, he thought 'twas in jest.
Forgetting the shih tzu,
Or Granny's jujitsu,
Both his shirt and some charges were pressed.
Theft and laundering just do not pay,
Not when Granny is holding the spray.
Got starched for his error,
He stiffened in terror;
Slapped with irons, they took him away.

My auntie purchased a great dane,
That mutt really drives her insane
When it does a poop,
It won’t fit the scoop,
Her husband’s now hired a crane
They also have got a Shih Tzu
It constantly poops in her shoe
She abhors the critter
Cos it’s not a quitter
Their house is just littered with pooh
My Saluki’s a naughty pet
Last Monday he peed on the vet
Who was a trainee
And very brainy
I’m sorry his trousers got wet!

Scientists combined cells from
ancient bird and a shih tzu,
new species hybrid is called
a dodoitsu.

on a September eve
when words flowed easily
Saddened by the loss of my sister’s dog who won everyone’s heart.
RIP PEPPER
On a day not quite warm, he shuts his eyes.
Tears release. Life moves too fast.
Shih Tzu with wings takes flight

Fragile Shih tzu pup.
Such large black eyes and thick coat of hair.
Playful in your special pen.
Little boys, oh you little boys, walking by.
Waving your sticks.
Jabbing playfully, laughing.
I stand at my window
and know that I was never so thoughtless.
Never so painfully mean.
The damage inflicted before I observed,
when discovered,
impressed tearful sorrow within me.
She was erratic.
Trembling, scared, with her eyes clouded over.
Blind little Shih tzu puppy.
She was never anything but a joy and she was put to sleep.

Time.
It’s a funny concept to ponder.
So much has happened
And so much has yet to happen,
Yet, the only thing that exists
Is now.
The only thing that is certain
Is now.
Who knows what life will be like
20 years from now,
2 years from now,
Even 2 hours from now.
But one can certainly imagine.
I close my eyes, and see
A quaint dwelling adorned with my touch
And the touch of a loved one;
The living room has pictures
Of children who have yet
To be even thought of.
I hear the paws of a Shih Tzu
Saunter on a hardwood floor,
Like she owns the place.
We spend nights watching films.
Because you can never run out of them,
And because we’re that kind of family--
Simple but worthwhile.
My eyes open, wide and wondrous.
It’s strange to think about, but
I smile at it anyways.
We once owned a little mutt named Genie
on occasion we called her Genie Panini
we tried not to feed her table scraps n' stuff
but then again, I had her heart on my cuff
so once in a while, we gave her little bits
to keep at bay her continuous barking fits
Each night hubby would eat a bowl of cheerio
while watching T.V. or listening to the stereo
Genie watched intently eyes peeled to the bowl
the ritual worked well, for she never stole
he gave her 1, there was nothing she could do
so she crunched it while she lay beside his shoe
One day hubby went to answer the door and left
Genie hopped on the couch and left him bereft
she ate all the cheerios but she did leave him one
when he returned he saw an empty bowl no fun
He'd been outsmarted by a funny little Shih Tzu
with Pomeranian smack, who knew what to do.
Moral of the story: Never trust a dog, when it comes to food.

[Sometimes when I’m struggling to write
I scrawl gibberish in the hope that inspiration
will lie within. Sometimes, just sometimes…
I like the result. This is one such]
There’s an ostrich in my porridge
There’s a shrew in my canoe
There’s a tiger in my trifle
There’s a Shih Tzu in my shoe
There’s a spider in my cider
There’s a goldfish in my loo
There’s an aardvark in the car park
and a coypu in my stew
There’s a monkey looking funky
With a meerkat for a hat
And an adder up a ladder
Hiding from a hungry rat
There’s a beaver with a cleaver
For he hasn’t any teeth
And a gator ate a waiter
Which was really rather brief
There’s a haddock in my paddock
And he’s in a proper muddle
An explosion in the ocean
Left him splashing in a puddle
A polar bear just over there
Has seen an easy lunch
For haddock are so juicy
With not many bones to crunch
He gave up eating penguins
When a penguin bit his neck
He won’t see that electric fence
For Polar bears don’t check
And when he got a zap
He got an aura that was fiery
He staggered round in circles
With his hair all black and wiry
He tried to brush the soot off
But he’d have to wash it later
He didn’t get the chance
Because he met the alligator
The gator had to rest because
Although he felt quite chuffed
A waiter and a polar bear
Had left his belly stuffed
But my wife grabbed a hammer
And she’s had ten thousand views
Of her alligator handbag
And her alligator shoes
[Well, you were warned!]
A woodpecker, flew straight at him,
Its sharp beak, stuck in his head
Then it flew back up to its nest
As for him, "He'll live!", the doc said!
But his life sure was not easy
To see a bird, was his worst dread
Rarely did he venture outside
He became known as, "Pecker head"
He tried to take it in his stride,
Though of course he was appalled
What if it was a Shih Tzu attack?
Imagine what he might be called!
But he found true love with, "Willow"
Though she was quite pushy, it's true
Soon they were seen all over town
Pecker head and pushy Willow too!
There’s a cordial, mild tempered shih tzu
Who spends her spare time learning jujitsu
Attacked by a terrier
She kicked his big dereeair
And yelped: That black eye you have really fits you!
