Best Safeguards Poems
Walk Slowly, Tread Lightly, Voice Kindly, Hold Tightly
Walk slowly, Life with its deep mysteries awaits;
For within the moment Time breathes and dies
Spur gently, racing horses begging passion's gate
To bring Love from those towering blue skies-
Walk slowly.
Tread lightly, on daydreams that magnify desires;
Some are foolish, not ever meant to be
Step lively, into romance before it expires
As Love's joy, sets sails upon open seas-
Tread lightly.
Voice kindly, words that in gratitude issue praise;
For it is true tenderness so rewards
Give freely, heart's glow, its magnificence raise
To one's depths that life and honor safeguards-
Voice kindly.
Hold tightly, greater fortitude that courage brings;
As are cast rare gems of sweetest delight
See clearly, life's beauty and Nature's offerings
for such are gifts that prove life is alright-
Hold tightly.

Humanity Exists As Sad Creatures With Evil Skins
Reprieve may be a fine desert or a freedom to live
A blessing freely granted or the power to freely give
But we must dare admit what immense courage some things take
And use our smart brains to identify the sorrowful fakes
For humans react to threats in many kinds of strange ways
But evil exists and demand opponents dearly pays
War savagery that with pure delight evil men do
Truth is one sorrowful day it may attack me and you
This world to oft engages in darkness and destruction
Mankind adopts wickedness as primary instructions
We have no true safeguards when war its ugly head does raise
Best if we trust our God, and give his Son our faithful praise.
Humanity exists as sad creatures with evil skins.
Full of selfish desires, greed in hearts of women and men.
Robert J. Lindley, dark sonnet
Jan. 21st, 1972
Note. This is the truth about humanity.
Unless under Christ's banner, they too oft exist as evil creatures on the take, imho.

Sonnet
I wish to be the sunshine that brightens your day;
I wish to be the moonlight in your sweet dreams;
I wish to be joy and keep you away from frowns;
I wish to be the smile that saves your beauty.
I wish to be the fulfillment to lift you up to destiny;
I wish to be your goals so you can achieve all;
I wish to be your mind so you can think no problems;
I wish to be your world and let you own me.
I wish to be your blood that strengthens your muscles;
I wish to be the beacon that safeguards your way;
I wish to be the heartbeat that keeps you alive;
I wish to be the nourishment you need to survive.
I wish to be the voice that talks on your behalf;
I wish to be your arms to hand everything you need;
I wish to be your hero to protect you day and night;
I wish to be your dreams come true.
I wish to be the tissue that dries your tears;
I wish to be the lips that caress your skin;
I wish to be the veins singing in streams on your body;
I wish to be the wonder that shines within.
I wish to be the pillow that cushions your head;
I wish to be the mattress that softens your bed;
I wish to be the touch that strokes your desire;
I wish to be the flame that ignites your fire.
I wish to be the passion that melts you dear;
I wish to be the loyalty that sets you apart.
I wish to be darling and keep you happier forever;
I wish to be the love that will always remain.
I wish to be the treasure that makes you fly;
I wish to be everything you need, want and desire;
I wish to be the portion that makes you whole;
I wish to be the poem in your heart.

Romanticism
My dear, the one whom rest eludes;
whence comes to you spirits at night,
these specters that harass your mood
and plague you when out are the lights?
Is there no pill or wonder drug
that eases you like a friend's hug?
From eve to eve you are beset;
and assailed by your dreams and fear
of the Reaper's looming onset,
which prompt your nightmares every year.
Like your nightmares, nights annoy you,
then irk, vex, and thus destroy you.
The Angel of Death's ghostly presence
disturbs your rest though you protest;
it reaves from you the assurance
that you are safe and not unblest.
But, my dear, I am here to tell
you,—that for you there's no death knell;
that you're beyond the reach of Death:
for God safeguards you forever,
and gives you life with every breath,
so that Death harms you never, ever!
And know that I'll be here to defend
you for all time until Time's sure end.

Bio
I aim for wondrous victory*
Thru my very best by God’s might
In pleasing Him with faith-lit sight!
Midst struggle-fueled misery
I yield to my soul’s Conqueror
Who safeguards me from fear’s terror!
By God’s grace and for His glory
I vanquish guilt that oppresses
And seek peace from Him Who blesses.
While sharing Gospel story
Truth I assert with all my heart
Never from His purpose depart!
To win lives from evil’s fury
I trust my Lord, the change-Doer
Since He can with His great power!
I aim for wondrous victory
Midst struggle-fueled misery
By God’s grace and for His glory
While sharing Gospel story
To win lives from evil’s fury.

That barefoot girl runs on the smooth, red sand as a gazelle in the wild,
she hears terrifying screams coming from the shore while the surf arises:
is somebody about to drown? There are no safeguards
watching from their posts, it's after closing time!
Her pale face shows panic, but is that her child?
There are some people on the beach, the Seaside's distant bells chime...
hardly anyone had paid attention to the peaceful surroundings
being occupied with their thoughts of contemplation on dreams;
seagulls gathered on rocks, take flight seeing her coming:
she starts shouting, " Call an ambulance! The child is drowning! "
Everybody realizes the seriousness of the matter,
and as if in an act of prayer, their gaze wanders far...
reaching the fearless swimmer fighting off waves, searching hard;
and with great stamina and strong will of mind, she will not be afraid!
Her kindness is a love that will save any life experiencing extreme dire;
it's the most difficult challenge she faces and will remember a lifetime!

Institutional Jargon
Strait lined jacket,
A wheelchair line-up peruses the pasty walls
In synchronized fashion
Secured by schedule
Where the pristine uniform
Clicks heels and strides with purpose
Adorned the fob with pen in pocket
To check the clock and the parade
Of faceless dozers where faraway tellies drone
Dismissed the saline droplet from folded eye
Ignored the fragmented desire to talk
Removed the self seeker to elsewhere
A teacup trolley breaches the languor
And summons the sleepers to take a drink
The war hero must wear his plastic pinny
He wears it with pride just like his medals
As he slobbers the luke-warm liquid
Dished out by the silent and the sullen
Quick automated wipes all round
That tidy up, maintain a dignity
Then charted as fluids taken well
Documented protocol of excellence
That safeguards an ordered day
And eliminates disruptive sound
That cause the uniform to sigh
And break from flippant social chat
To conceal the noise in far off room
Because she’s wearing anothers clothes
And so the day drifts into eve
Food hastened to maintain an early night
And ease the plight of the nocturnal uniform
Nothing untoward in this institutional paradise
There’s nothing at all.

When René Robert Cavelier sieur de La Salle claimed this vast country of
Louisiana for King Louis XIV on April 9, 1682, the French Empire in North
America extended from Hudson Bay in Canada to the Gulf of Mexico. During the
next five decades, attempts were made to colonize the land and to integrate
Louisiana into the military, political, religious, and economic fabric of the

The Charles River is one of the most beautiful urban rivers in the country. In

areas for wildlife and recreation lover. Listen to me early in the day the love has
grown and far outweighed the sad.

Or nearby country lanes and quaint front yards,
are the Eucalyptus Rainbow, streaked trees,
found in Southeast Asia island countries.
Two hundred twenty-foot tall tree safeguards,
its ninety-four-inch smooth orange-tint trunk,
growing in the lowlands and rainforest,
wood makes paper and cosmetics cherished.
It's pale green, red, grey, and puce, a slam dunk,
breathtaking wonderment countryside greats,
eye-catching kaleidoscopic spectrum,
arrangement stretched far away, no breadcrumb.
The advocate of nature illustrates,
through collective documents and accounts,
unthinkable odds descriptive recounts.

Shapeshifters, and or, shapeshifting ... preps our world always,

While waiting for Christ’s return*, we should be spiritually awake
As His children saved from fire’s lake.
Let us abide in Him; His truth we must not forsake
Fully aware that He never makes any mistake!
While waiting for Christ’s return, we should trust His direction
As His students taught by His instruction.
Let us obey Him; His love must be our right motivation
Fully assured of His grace and compassion!
While waiting for Christ’s return, we should be His faithful stewards
As His servants with His promised blessings and rewards.
Let us labor for Him; His precepts must be our standards
Fully protected by His mighty safeguards!
While waiting for Christ’s return,* we should share the Gospel with sincerity
Fully convinced of His saving power of eternal security!

September 7 Scripture Meditations Based on Malachi 1-4
Key Verse – Malachi 1:2 I have loved you, saith the LORD…
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR LOVING ME
Thank You for loving me even though I’m impoverished in sinfulness
Because of my carnal stubbornness…
I repent from naughtiness’ haughtiness
As You uphold me by Your gentle kindness.
Thank You for loving me even though I’m afflicted with iniquity
Because of my idolatrous infirmity…
I repent from vanity’s futility
As You cleanse me by Your sanctifying purity.
Thank You for loving me even though I’m unfaithful against standards
Because of my complacent attitude not good for stewards…
I repent from slothfulness’ regards
As You pull me to improve by Your training safeguards.
Thank You for loving me even though I’m inconsistent in serving
Because of my worldly involving…
I repent from selfishness’ cleaving
As You restrain me by Your gracious driving.
Thank You for loving me even though I’m unsuccessful in discipleship
Because of my lack of wholehearted followership…
I repent from hypocrisy’s intervention during worship
As You deal with me by Your guiding partnership.
Thank You for loving me even though I’m disobedient to holy vision
Because of my faithless decision…
I repent from unbelief’s malfunction
As You transform me by Your working perfection.
Thank You for loving me even though I’m tempted toward humanism
Because of my proud grip for intellectualism…
I repent from revival’s pessimism
As You teach me by Your biblical theism.

"Fragments and crumbs of life, all the little pieces"
John Ruskin, 1853
A collage of memories adorn the walls of my heart.
Some appear and bring a smile, the worthwhile ones
that shine like faceted diamonds in the midnight sky.
Indelible are my visions of births, marriage and days
when life offered more rewards than I felt I deserved.
But there are also deaths; those jagged shards,
that cut me like sharpened spears of broken glass.
They're bitter weapons that cause me pain
with each remembered slash that opened a new wound.
Oh, such strife, anguish, and tidal waves
of regrets that leave me shipwrecked and alone.
There are snippets and scraps of our wedding day,
shrouded and shadowed now...
Those pictures are finger worn, edges bent
from turning them often, when I feel forlorn
and miss your arms around me
.
Love comes without safeguards and guarantees
so please, dear heart,
don't bring those echoes of the past to mind.
I've come to grips with my brokenness
until moonlight reminds me of what used to be.
In that moment I'm wistful and somber
stumbling in the darkness...
trying to climb from the gloom of a deep abyss.

Why did God create angels
to wander behind the gates
of Heaven to protect it from Hell,
or to obey the command of His will?
Without my knowledge, or comphrension,
He assigned one of them to protect me...
why would a mortal like me defy His intention?
Everywhere I go, that angel safeguards me.
Perils on the road multiply as countless miles,
blind corners can kill, if someone is not keen;
pedestrians cross boulevards at red lights,
signs warn to cross them when they turn green.
I often feel that a spiritual being is walking beside me,
he doesn't breathe, cast a shadow, or can be seen...
but that angelic presence is strong: that's why I feel safe and laugh
as a babe in the arms of a mother whose endless love surpasses death.
Everybody thinks that the mission of angels is to read sacred books
and sing of God's glory, not watching us who dwell on this planet of fright;
how wrong they must be for their limited insight when their life is not bright!
Think again: they are in search of good souls to reward them with miracles!
