The first crystal drop
of realization
shatters your glassy surface

and radiates the idea outward
in reflective ripples growing in concentric circles
with the newness of being thought of for the very first time..

one drop
follows another
in a thoughtful cascade
and a thrilling commingling of contemplative resonance
skimfully intersects on a liquescent wavelength -

like a collection of Chinese linking rings
smoothly passing through each other

exchanging enchantment and casting their own brand of magic
in lucid fluidity across the suffused surface
of your soulful depths;

that -
in this most
precious of moments -
revels in revealing the answers you seek.

Premium Member Rhododendron

Oh! floriferous, bold, roseate ebullience of May,
Alluring doting sights welcome-vibes you convey
Gracing edges, where the roses and azaleas sway
Forming resplendent ballet of multicolored array;
O rhododendron, flamboyant in euphoric morn,
Flaunting flaming-purple how gardens you adorn
Where hummingbirds frolic and butterflies play
And bell-shaped showy blossoms greet sunny day
As jubilation of spring, breezing your realm serene,
Revels in whorls of petals pristine, as you preen,
Boasting hints amethyst on elegance evergreen
Sprinkling perfumed ambiance on tempo upbeat
Where pulse of romance strums passionate beat
Lauding floriferous display, as if a flower bouquet;
O rhododendron~ roseate, ornate beauty of May!

Angelica

curiously peering over a cloud
   Angelica stepped a bit too far
      wings fluttered and disappeared
         stolen by jealous demons below

angel flying too close to the ground
   leaving the harmony of heaven
      sensing a need to save a ravaged planet
         landing gracefully on soft soil

Angelica hears the bulldozers
   weapons of environmental destruction
      sauntering through Earth’s rainforests
         curiosity beckons as water reflects her image

her lost wings still reflect in the pond
   seen as ripples from her pink, silk gown
      orchid floral tiara crowns her long auburn hair
         even water lilies envy her beauty

captivated by this pool lit with filtered sun
   immersed in an image of herself
      in God’s light all angels appear the same
         bright beams to welcome new souls

fly again she will
   bubbles of hope spring forth
      Earthbound for but a brief time
         cherished cherub sent as nature’s guardian

halo of comfort surrounds
   Angelica leans forth to feel the coolness
      sparkling water caresses warm lips
         her kiss renews Earth’s freshness

other angels transparent in sunlight
   bestow a new set of wings
      mission accomplished, they escort her home
         once again she revels in heaven’s light

Premium Member The Tiny Traveler

Adopted animals love their humans;
show it in many ways.
The tiniest pet,
revels in the harmony of its time,
with family.

Dinky was a special hamster;
she lived a year beyond the normal life span.
I carried her around in my pocket and she loved the ride.
Her head, peeking out, evoked curious comments
from all who glimpsed her.

She searched for me, when I was at school;
her knack for escaping the cage,
kept me searching for her in the afternoons.
I often found her, in my chest of drawers.

Of course, I found it odd,
but hamsters are four-legged, Houdini’s…
Dinky was the best.

One cold winter night, as I lay in slumber,
That tiny traveler made her way from,
one end of the house, to my bedroom.
I lay there, on that frosty eve,
dreaming that I was outside in the rain;
the chilling raindrops, dancing upon my arm.

In a moment of lucidity,
Reality hit; those raindrops were tiny paws!
I reached, grasped and in the shimmering moonlit rays,
I stared into the eyes of my new bed buddy.
A twitchy nose said it all…
”I found you!”
I moved her cage close by my bedside;
future escapes faded into history.

Premium Member Despair Dispelled

Dawn's rays burst through gray clouds
Though evening's bitterness lingers
She struggles to shake free of tear-stained, satin shrouds

Each morning, so much effort just to rise
But lips part to flash a much-needed smile
When she opens the door and ventures outside

A sparrow had nested in her hanging flowers
High-pitch chirps alert the world life has renewed
And gladly does she acknowledge nature's powers

A wee, brown owl is perched upon the sprawling oak
He's forgotten to take refuge as the night receded
Then a tiny tree frog begins his pond-side croak

She sees his motley, textured body and begins to laugh
For nature's creatures have learned to live carefree
As he does daily, the frog hops to board a lily-pad raft

The tension has eased as nature's chorus serenades
Such joy and harmony their songs evoke
She saunters through the woodland, joins their parade

Her heart is now light; she has mastered their technique
Overcome with gratitude, she skips along the path
Knowing that wallowing in sadness is never unique

For the blues will strike again as night covers the land
And she will face her personal demons once again
But for now she revels in these gifts from nature's hand

And to find relief the next morn, she will simply open a door
Step into the refreshing flow of a passing breeze
And find her way to happiness once more

For you are like a summer rose
against the wind your face unfolds
nothing there is like nature chose
for the memory one remoulds,
golden sunrise upon the morn
captures the diamond on the dew
nature revels in fragrance worn
scented hint of florescent hue.

Premium Member One Waits Upon the Horizon

The purple race the tussock face
heather dwells in delinquent mist
fresh the morning waits to embrace
as the sun’s rays break to enlist.
For you are there my summer rose
against the wind your grace unfolds
nothing there is like nature chose
for the memory one remoulds.
Golden sunrise upon the morn
captures the diamond on the dew
nature revels in fragrances worn
scented hint of florescent hue.
The verdant valley doth display
when gentle breeze her hair to sway.

Premium Member Supine, Looking at the Sky

Awestruck in its grandeur, acquiescing to mystic of refulgence up high,
Exalted I feel, lauding designs iridescent, upon sapphire blue sky;
As I listen to birdsongs, reverberating missives of sensuous eventide,
Reminiscing in titillation of love, wishing you were here, by my side.

Rippling currents strum, rhythms of river rushing, burbling nearby,
When flocks of birds glide above, swooping and swirling, as they fly;
Where decaying-day dons amber dye, as it slows the reign of time,
Glinting aureate themes of twilight, blushing reveries of eve sublime.

Cotton clouds on opaline fabric, embellish crown of mountain peak,
As sunbeams waltz, with twirling leaves, playing hide-and-seek;
To music of whispers-soft, emanating from tender melodies of breeze,
In sync with mood of eve-romantic, dancing with the rustling trees.

Vying enlightenment of self-actualization, I lie in quietude, supine,
Harboring instincts of erudite mind, dwelling in teachings divine;
Subjugating thoughts unwise, as fuchsia tinges dot magenta skyline,
Where dream-scapes of you and I, on rosy arc of dusk entwine.

Beckoned by your presence-seductive, beaming an esoteric smile,
Your silhouette in yonder revels, flaunting allure of feelings fertile;
Where together we rejoice realms of stars, blissful under moonlight,
As, Venus, the goddess of love, confers upon us a romantic night.

Premium Member Let There Be Light

When God said, "Let there be light,"
Nature obliged, with the Sun.
And in the farthest fringes
of deep space; galaxies spun.

Ethereal rays of light;
imbue magic to the day.
And color cottony clouds;
when Dawn chases Night away.

The Sun's coronal aura;
harbors hope's eternal spark.
And illuminates the sky;
shooting sunbeams in the dark.

Darkness is forged from shadows;
where nothing's quite what it seems.
And yesterday's promises;
where scribbled on dying dreams.

You are a creature of light;
that's why you love it so much.
And when Sol caresses you;
your heart revels in His touch.

The Other Me - a Tribute To Drag Queens

The other me you'd be quite surprised
She wears high heels, makes up her eyes
she parades around, singing lively songs
telling bawdy jokes where she belongs

Upon the stage, she's not alone
for in that bar, the stage, her home.
Dressed head to foot in sequinned gowns
the punters watch her earn her crown.
The greatest sight they've ever seen,
to them she is, the peoples 'queen'.

Every night there in that bar,
They come to watch her, she's the star.
She gives the punters what they want
Singing lively songs, to which they chant.

Then when it's time to close the doors,
she exits with rapturous applause.
They clap and shout and scream her name,
She revels in that loving fame.

When the show is o'er and done,
she's back to where she first begun.
She removes her wig, takes off her makeup,
and now it's time for him to wake up.

Oh there he is, where has he been?
pretending to be the people's queen.
It's back to some normality,
is she a he?, or he a she?

You see, the answer is quite clear,
She's a he and he's a *****.
Earning cash from having toiled
in late night bars,
burning midnight oil.

The Rocking Chair

Rocking Chair
(The Autistic Child)

Born with walls constructed in her mind,
She keeps the world and all its threat at bay,
Inside her rocking chair day after day,
A month, a year, an hour, no sense of time
Just rocking, rocking all her life away.

Christmas comes and presents pile around
Her chair; she sees the paper, shining, colors bright;
She reaches for the red, the blue, the white.
She revels in the crumpling paper sound--
Just rocking, rocking in her endless night.

The family gathers for the festive meal,
She will not leave her chair, her treasured place,
The never-ceasing motion of her private race.
She’s rocking in her solitary reel,
An empty stare on her unchanging face.

But what is this, her sister’s gentle hand
A soft, accepted touch , a simple smile,
“I want to sit with you a little while”--
Contact made without seeming to demand
They rock together—a stationary mile.

Premium Member Sly Fox

slinking through the woods
finding camaraderie only from wolves

heartless, relentless, self-absorbed
predator of the vulnerable

devouring her soul
crushing her hopes
devastating dreams
finding satisfaction when she succumbs

the fox knows nothing of love
seeks but conquest
revels in despair of victims

takes her carcass down to the river
washes purity from her tormented soul

she saw feigned promise in his eyes
the fox, the wolf, the demon

who devastates
devours
crushes
while grinning with satisfaction

Devoted Daughter of the Moon

Always asking question
The devoted daughter of the moon
     revels in starlight
  Sweet to the touch, the taste
She dances around an eternal campfire
    The night wears on
    Still she dances!
She will dance this way until dawn
when the bright rays of the sun
    will send her looking for shelter
One million dawnsa and one million
    dreams later
She'll awaken
to cast her glow
upon our epoch
which is in sore need
   of tinsel and starlight

Premium Member He Fears the Bogeyman

Love's light beams from the hearts and souls of Man
but His insecurities shade its glow.
And in shadows, hate and bigotry grow;
though Man's conscience interjects when it can.
But, like a child, He fears the bogeyman;
facing repercussions, He lets hope go.
Scared of storms, He revels in the rainbow;
convincing Himself that it is God's plan.

Evil overshadows the light of good;
anonymity merges with the dark.
And accepting truths, tethered to rumors,
we mesh with the system as robots would.
Yet, the love in Man needs only a spark,
to exorcise fear's cancerous tumors.

We Are the Universe

Life seems to be so empty, I see dark sky, destroyed ground that is abandoned...
Colorless world, only black and gray, lost wishes, unfounded dreams...
I only feel this when I'm awake....
But....
When I'm a sleep...
I see trees dancing on the rhythm of your beating heart...
Birds whispering a symphony that only you and me can understand...
Water flows smoothly, touching the soft rocks down in the river so tender...
The whole universe has his own rhythm while you have your own...
Gentile wind covers our bodies like a soft , warm blanket...
And your lips..oh ..Your lips...
I feel the sweetness of blueberry in them - so smooth - so soft - so tender..
Ah...my demons suduse me to taste them , to bite them and never let go of you...
When you cross your fingers upon my skin , you break my bones , you set fire in my soul, you make blood revels through my veins...
You control me , can't help myself ..
Don't know if I'm awake or asleep anymore...
But I don't care...
I want to stay in your flawless world whether it's fake or real...
As long as I'm with you I can live my life time not asking for anything else but your love....
Carry me on your waves and take me to your breathless shelter...
Let's hide there and stay there for ever ..
Let's grow old - let's live our life - our wishes - our dreams...
Let's forget about the world , why would we care about the world when we're the universe ....
