He Fears the Bogeyman

Love's light burns in the heart and soul of Man but His insecurities shade its glow. And in darkness, hate and bigotry grow, though Man's conscience interjects when it can. But like a child, Man fears the bogeyman; scared of repercussions, He lets hope go. Numb to storms, He revels in the rainbow, convincing Himself; it's part of God's plan. Evil overshadows the light of good; anonymity prospers in the dark. And wearing blinders, tethered to rumors, we mesh with the system, as robots would. Yet, the love in Man only needs a spark to exorcise fear's cancerous tumors.

I have always had a thought that if we could throw off all negative thinking, and only allow goodness and love into our hearts, not only would we conquer cancer, but also Aids, wars, prejudice, and all other things that need the darkness of closed selves to survive. This one is a keeper. A FAV for me, my friend.
