Old Poet, His Art And Why He Composes Til Death Sings
With pen and paper he writes as rushes a rising tide
his true heart wide open and sworn to nothing ever hide
always loyal to those humble, hard working, verses true
full of poetic history, even a tale or two
watching dawn's resplendent birth and knowing Time onward flows
ever mindful that Kindness and Love are flowers that grow.
Words come forth as a massive and loud growling ocean tide
his journey a dancing wave, prays for everlasting ride
as hard earth below and brilliant blue sky both sing in tune
he feels that beat that cries out for, coming of shining moon
honest in an Art he swore to be his love and his maid
letting time and honor tell if he ever makes the grade.
Staying real except composing from his romantic dreams
swimming in deepest eddies often were great white sharks teem
his solemn vow, his sweetest goal- this truth he thus relays
we shadow beasts by divinity granted sunny days
upon midnight hour and in its darkest of dreaded dread
he allows ancient muse to filter sweet verse through his head.

Rhyme, ( Quid ventis et frigus cantus mollis luna curat angustia animam meam. )
Imagination is the reality. What would creativity be without imagination?
What would the reality be without creativity?
One relays on another.
What you imagine is what should be created.
Everything on this earth was once a
Piece of someone’s mind.
As nothing can form by itself it can be an idea of....
A Little child or an idea of an old adult all qualified evenly
Who is there to judge an idea?
Only the person who thought of it can decide
What they will do with what they came up with.
It takes courage to change a imagined idea into a
Piece of beauty only ones that
Dedicate themselves into what they think they
Can influence people's minds with
Can really be proud of their self-will.
From deep beyond the canyon rim,
Appearing at first night;
The moon appears upon a whim
And relays its borrowed light.
Then rising there above the knoll,
Through wisps of misty white;
The moonlight falls as flakes of snow
Upon the countryside.

New Year's starts after all the holidays.
Exercise is good for me and you but I am skipping Sunday's. We are not exercising today and going to Subway.
Being good on a diet can be just a crazy haze.
Energy why did you take off in a blaze.
Going with small meals puts me in a daze.
In life does this really pay.
No grass to graze.
Not doing any relays.
I stuck with this diet for a week and I am amazed.
No more dieting I want some s'mores.
Going to have a sandwich with real mayonnaise.
Sounds like this was all just a phase.

"HUMAN"
WE are stardust
CHNOPS
6 essential

Carbon
Hydrogen
Nitrogen
Oxygen
Phosphorus
Sulphur
somewhere Cobalt and Gold
On the stockmarket
we could be worth
$46 million each and sold
for what our body contains
Bone Marrow
Heart
Lungs
Kidneys
Brain
Eyes
and
DNA...
and then some
literature relays;
53% water, salt tears
oceans’ memory
ancient and old
4.5 billion years
with an error range
of 50 million years
or so, we’re told -
Chemical elements
different atom types
created during a
Supernova explosion
a brilliant point of light
the death of a star
that has reached the
end of it’s life
the DEATH of a star
created from a point
of LIGHT
distributes and
gives BIRTH to life.
A Supernova burns
only for a short period
of time
life and death
death and life
Electric particles
Souls of Light
from a Universal womb
rushing through
a molecular wormhole
to commence all
over again
in another body
of solid matter
covering
electric particles -
bodies that are shells
containing beings of light
life and death
death and life
ashes to ashes
dust to Stardust
We are human

"here if you need,

but you, so-and-so

"I will not adopt that ungenerous and impolitic custom so common with novel-writers, of degrading by their contemptuous censure the very performances, to the number of which they are themselves adding—joining with their greatest enemies in bestowing the harshest epithets on such works, and scarcely ever permitting them to be read by their own heroine, who, if she accidentally take up a novel, is sure to turn over its insipid pages with disgust. Alas! If the heroine of one novel be not patronized by the heroine of another, from whom can she expect protection and regard? I cannot approve of it."

SENIORS OLYMPICS
Images of fearsomely fit youth everywhere,
healthy people, all bronzed, featured
by the second, on screens and public spaces :
fit and flash, but always young, Olympians.
I protest, for we seniors are just as sporty;
we recycle daily, suffer running noses;
fallen archery’s no problem at all - well, it is -
as we routinely wrestle with living.
Best not to even mention water sports.
Weightlifting self out of armchair is hourly,
when diving for the loo, as is rowing back
from much too easily expressed criticism.
We ping pong daily with potions and pills.
Sailing close to the wind, shooting mouth off,
leads to embarrassed synchronized grinning.
Annoy us and you will get a right kayaking.
Much of our lives consists of sundry hurdles;
shops are like a cross-country marathon,
or a steeplechase broken into relays,
bench to leaned-on wall, to bench again.
And, we’ve all done pent- and heptathlon,
with the dec- coming in to (or out of) focus,
we need not discus these ageist Olympics,
I have hammered my point enough ....

Heavens Mirror
Written: by Tom Wright

Water, at night,
Relays silent echoes in shimmering light;
As if by God's design,
An eternal mirror for the heavens;
In it, I see a patchwork quilt, of stars, moon,
And all that God hath set voice to;
Perhaps replenished by His tears,
Which I believe,
He sheds o'er sinful man.
Digital beauty encoded in space
Densely packaged with binary relays
A hybrid of English et en Français
Dreaming out loungey soft beats and delays
Super 45’s and magnetic tape
Transfers of energy through vintage keys
Trading the lead to entrance and escape
Analog phases alighting the breeze
Delicate spires of open finesse
Hushed drones that mingle in the subsonic
Limitless visions in limited press
Mixing it down into Duophonic
Sensual ribbons of Marxist ideals
Consciously rolling Motorik appeal
Duress and death and flies persist
but I can't rest, or I won't rise
While on I press, relays of mist
that graze beside me now and then,
make red my dead and distant eyes
but raise my listing head again
Unhinged, ashamed, yet still servile,
I aim and brave men atomize
to ginger haze around me, while
ghosts and grenades fill the skies...

What you see today
Might be just a fake ray
And be not as they say
Or it might just be a fake way
What you hear today
Probably has not come to stay
For who knows if it pay
Even if it comes to you in golden tray
What you taste today
If whenever in your belly it relays
Like a running train with no delay
Not every plant grows in the month of may
The path you walk today
Might just not be okay
Shouldn't or should you dance in gay
Most green succulents always become hay
Don't relent on what you see today
Listen, watch but don't take the play
If its hard carving diamonds then use clay
Never lose hope, don't let the dreams of tomorrow decay
Love is tricky
Is it evil? Is it good?
Its results relays the answer
Each day carries its own emotion
Moods change like the weather
Love, you tricky devil
You got me
Imprisoned once again
Sinking in quicksand
Hopelessly clawing my way out
I'm trying, but it’s no use
I am engulfed by misery
Bipolar days and bipolar feelings
Restless nights restless and evenings
Insomnia
Waiting for my lover
But he's cool, he's calm, he's collected
As a man you see, he has his ways
I accept submissively
Because I could never accept losing him
He knows this, understands his control
This is my reality
Questioning how'd I get myself here
The Twilight Zone?
My Lover, my lesser god
Doing as he pleases
And I pick up the pieces
I say nothing, remain humble
Would hate to awake the giant
His anger I refute
So I settle and accept my folly
All my body has ever known
'Tis not simple to simply "wish" myself out of love
I've been here before
Only if I'd capture the strength to let go
Hope has left now, I'm merely a prisoner
Checked out of Heartbreak Hotel,
Now prisoner number 7779311
Only my lover has the key
However he'll never release me
Therefore I position myself
Stay in my place
I accept my agony
I accept my suffer
Because I love him
Gave my life to love him
I gave my life--
To make love to misery--
Over, and over, and over again
Got yourself some new wheels, huh?
I can hear the squeals of rubber burning
I cough exhaust…left behind, oh gosh! I’m holding just a pile of dented fenders…
suspended… Your bucks spent. Engine Red..that foreign bred truck!
Snap, crackle and Popular Mechanic…Look at the maniac go….!
Holy, Moly….must be rolling in dough!
Woe is me, a junk yard dog, pile of junk, smelly sneakers left in my trunk
There he goes….who knows where….how many horses…under that hood...?
Should I know? I’d fly too, if I could. Just scrap metal in my bellow.
Heavy pedal, limp and wasted..used to be his favorite girl…kept me polished, waxed
and oiled…now I’m soiled. No garage..no umbrella, who gives a rip? Worn out
engine, give up the ship! Cast away…..not in style…gave a ride to Gomer Pyle
“See the USA in your Chevrolet"…, ‘cept that I ain’t got no carburetor
See ya later gator…what’s the hurry fella? Did ya see the light was yellow?
Red light, yellow light…. see if we can make the green
Going green….going green,….does that mean his hybrid’s clean?
Anti-freeze, it makes me sneeze….can’t I have some oil please?
Give ‘er the gas, let’s see what she’s got!
OH.. forgot!…ain’t got my tires..I’m retired
Pubescent male migration, arcing over sunless streets
Hear that squeak……doctor told me oil leak
Honest Engine, joined the pack, no Pontiac to take that ride
Is there heaven for old cars? Car 54 where are you??
I got my kicks on Route 66, running relays, no baton, just open freeways
Son of a gun…give it the gun……vroom.. vroom… run… run!
One door closes, need new hoses, or I don’t go nowhere… no how
Pile of rust, I’ve been busted, up on blocks…what a crock!
My teeth and pride are all knocked in…windshield wipers brush a tear
Windshield wipers swipe the years…skid marks show behind my eyes
Teeth and pride are all knocked in, guess I’m just an old has been!

a stream of consciousness
It's all a joke, but ha ha you got me,
Half of its true, but the other half can't be,
You grip my heart tightly And won't let go,
Vanity steps in the way and you deny what you know,
It steals the love you feel And distorts your mind,
But love will defeat it, give it time,
So when you joke, your heart relays,
Half of a truth you would like to say,
Don't worry...your secrets safe with me,
Because you know in your heart I already see.
