Renaissance Reed

Lou Reed , Mistral of his time
so you walked this road on the wild side
unique in music , never selling out
believing in Art instead of commercialize

Lou Reed the musician never compromised ~
Sweet Jane not enough for our crowd of eccentric rockers
still will live forever with the many that left before you
one can imagine from John Lennon to Johnny Ramone

a party in Heaven of the finest rock bestowed
no text , no MTV when they pursued a dream
New York, hotel Chelsea an age of Renaissance
ragged jeans and leather jackets ,Art on stage

No, your Rock not ever fade away , it will stay sweet Jane forever ~

For the fine Man with words , ode to Lou Reed .

Plea of the 'Bruised Reed'

On my knees; my head low
What to say I don't know
Can not speak yet it seems
though no words my heart screams

But that's the sound you hear
more than a word spoke clear
Each tear rings as stirred chimes
Each one dear not bound by time

In you're heart they're held tight
Kept safe from the world's bite
To you my worth is high
A gem tween earth and sky

But this I do not feel
I try but my head reels
My heart just can not see
the art you see in me

I have not much to give
By your Word I will live
I'll not let my faith go
Please help your child so low

The Sacred Staff and Reed

When I feel persecuted and totally on my own-
I pray to God, who sits upon the Holy Throne.

Every fear and problem I have, I send to God alone-
Because He is the foundation, the true corner stone.

Therefore, no matter what might happen, I will succeed-
Because I worship the One who holds the Sacred Staff and Reed.

Hollow Reed

Hollow Reed

My problem with a hollow reed
Is that, through its emptiness,
‘Nother man pipes his own creed
To promote his own business!

Premium Member I'm at a 4-year-old birthday party asking other parents if they're into the Velvet Underground

not going well
this

i've got a tattoo of a butterfly on my right cheek
it will remain there til monday morning
there's a bouncy castle and a bubble machine
i'm smacking the hell out of the piñata on my daughter's behalf
but nothing doing
talking about industry and carbon emissions with the only other dad
test cricket and the weather

watermelon, pizza, and happy birthday
rainbows, unicorns and pass the parcel
balloons, bracelets and paw patrol plastic plates
but has anyone
heard the version of
Heroin on the
Rock 'n' Roll Animal album?

Premium Member Happy Birthday, Reed

I never knew I could love so much.
Horizons opened the day you came squirming
Into my out of myself.

 Pride

They say it's deadly
But I can't help it when I look at you
When I listen to you say words
That I never taught you that teach me.

Doesn't feel deadly at all.

Sixteen is two to the fourth power
About to burst into magnificence
If I said "Go for it" would it
Embarrass you?

Of course and who cares and I love you.
No matter what
Forever and always amen.

Premium Member Reed of Dawn Time

Caress my weary soul
with threads of muted sound
meander through the meadow grass
ring from the barren branch of ancient time
shriek, shrill, trill with the murder of crows
or the jock-stepped lock of mocking bird
and native drummers, lick the wind~
extend the pointed poignant tip of tongue
to pursed lips and fleet fingers

Caress my weary soul
with threads of morning light
ray born effervescence of reed of dawn
reborn with each heart whose life is formed
trill through the caverns, the canyons of time
each depressed fingertip mutes
all…all that sublime~

Mr. Jerry Reed Hubbard was a native of Atlanta.
That is the biggest city in the Peach State of Georgia.
The people there were proud of their native son.
A few of his songs made Country Billboard’s number one.
A gold record and Grammy Award is what he got
for the best-selling single “When You’re Hot, You’re Hot”.
Many of his songs were funny, and I certainly laughed
when I heard his “She Got the Goldmine, I Got the Shaft”.
We also saw him with Burt Reynolds in the movies
where he warned the Bandit about those pursuing smokeys.
Jerry undoubtedly had a career that was great
until he sadly passed away in 2008.

Premium Member A Bruised Reed

A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;

Dear Lord, I am bruised
And I am bent down low
I am about to break
And I’m about to let go

Lord, I am smoldering
About to be snuffed out
My light is growing dim
Don’t know what life’s about

Lord, you made a promise
That I’m going to hold you to
Lord, you see my heart
Lord, You know what to do

I know that you love me
For you spoke to me today
You said no one can harm me
That you’d love me come what may

Lord, I’m a bent reed
Lord, I’m a smoldering wick
Lord, come to my rescue
Oh dear Lord, do be quick

This burden is too heavy
Too heavy for me to bear
And I do not deserve it
Please, Lord, show me your're there

Straighten up this bruised reed
Lord, rekindle my fading light
Lord, fill me with your love
Only your love can make it right.

Dante Reed Jr

What do they want to know
About me?
I'm fun loving, charismatic
A strong Leader
Who's Diplomatic
Never ask for much
I handle mines
By any "means"
I Can read between the lines
I'm the one people Love
I'm the flower that rose "above"
Concrete
I mastered streets
I made it out
without A chance of defeat
You may trap my body
But never my soul
Longs the world know who I became
I accomplished my goal
My name is Dante Reed Jr.
I'm From Baltimore
Born and Raised
A child of four siblings
Who made it through tough days
I am 24
But to you that's just a number
To me this an age of success
That may keep the people wondering
Longs i have the help of my creator
Who never sleep or slumber
I can truly say i made it
And my age is just A number
I'm so thankful and bless
To be here
I'm the Man who stands firm
And my GOD Is who I fear
Dante Reed Jr.

Reed

What am I feeling for you?
A futile yearning,
If I don't entertain it,
It will haunt me for the longest time.
I am sinking in you.

You are avoiding me
It is best you do that
Your eyes, your eyes, your eyes.
They got me transfixed,
This is just a feeling
That is heading to its tail?

You and me loving deep
With no strings attached.
Playing all games
Breaking all rules man made.

You are evading me
Your skin, your skin, your skin,
I'm peeping through window
Wine sipping through your pores

You stay so close
I am in a nuptial situation,
It is wrong for me to fall,
I am hiding, I am seeking
An emotion that will end.

Its you, its you, its you,
You are a tempting phenomenon
I am weak, a shaking reed,
In turbulent waters of desire,
A river rushing to its end.

Reed Richards

Always beyond reach
Is the one thing that I seek.
I’ve known it for quite some time,
But through all attempts to put out of mind

It always seems to come crawling back.

It has been stolen by others,
Been moved away far out of my grasp.
I’ve watched it be treated well,
And been nearly destroyed by the reckless.
Each time it gets harder and harder,
To be the bystander.

Time and again I try to move forward
And seize that which I think should be mine.
A reckless hand, mine is not.
‘tis fragile and I know it.
I like it that way.

All that is good in life is fragile.

Look at life, human or otherwise,
Perhaps the most brittle thing in existence.
On thin ice we tread,
And often it seems our shoes are warmed.

I want to carry it to safety,
Beyond the thin sheet of frozen water.
But in order for that to happen,
Somehow it must be placed closer to me.

Perhaps I should grow longer arms.

Why Trump Left Walter Reed

So Trump checked in to Walter Reed
And asked them for a cure for greed
They said, "Crystal Meth -
Or you could choose death -
But Fort Knox is where we keep seed!"

The Reed

The twisting arching reach plies the verdant of all singular reeds...slicing its' touch
upon clouded waters' stillness,
Displaced beneath the aqueous shallow lay the turquoise of natures' forged stones,
azure and green speckled shimmer,
Breathing the wind of gentle gesture returned the reeds upwards within the reach
of touching the warmth of the sun,
Shaking the droplets of what was just skimmed...rippling the balance of stillness and
breaking the calm,
Thus is born the creation of harmonious action.
