Wise Men Still Seek Him Today

W-hen the fullness of time had come, Jesus was born behind an Inn in a cave-like stable.
I-n the Inn there was no room for the Son of God, no room for the Saviour of men.
S-tar was shining so bright above the stable for the shepherds to find their way to Him.
E-ven angels proclaimed His birth to those shepherds "Unto you is born this day."

M-anger is where Mary and Joseph first laid him. It was filled with hay.
E-very animal there must have known that their Creator had come that day.
N-o one knew the depth of love God had, to give His Son to dwell among men.

S-ame star guided three kings from the Orient, who studied the stars and heavens.
T-hese wise men from the East came saying "Where is He that is born King"
I-n their hands they brought him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrr.
L-ike these three wise men, wise men still seek him today!
L-ove is the reason that God sent His only Begotton Son into the world to save us.

S-eeking for you and me, yes God was seeking for us because we had left Him.
E-veryone, yes, all we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone to his own way.
E-ach one has to make his on decision to follow Him or not to follow Him.
K-ing, born to be a King. King of the ages. King of the past. King of the future.

H-eaven, He came from Heaven to earth to show us the right way.
I-niquity, the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
M-elody, He gives us a sweet melody, we sing many songs of praise to Him.

T-ree, A Christmas tree, the love that Jesus had for us, to die on a tree.
O-nly one life and how soon it passes. Only in life can we accept His Love.
D-eliverance, He came from Heaven to preach deliverance to the captives.
A-cknowlege Him and accept Him. Behold now is the accepted time.
Y-ou, Yes, this Christmas Love was for You. Will You accept this love?

Rico L and Ree Ko - Thanx Anaya

I
If any writer here didn't like him --
If Souper One, or 2023, dislike Rico,
Please correct my notion: Rico made you smile
Even when you hated to smile or laugh
ThanX Rico for leaving your fingerprints here
More respectful than boot prints --
You tried to enjoy life, and people,
Even when people deserved less
Godspeed! I know you fought "mind control"
Free Spirit who wanted the best of GOD

Thanks Anaya (I am Anaya) for "epitaphing" well

Premium Member Tamiviolet Is This Really You?

Tamiviolet, Tamiviolet
I must say my dear
I read your poem 'Oh,Yes' today.
I thought I can't believe it
How did poetrysoup slip up
To allow someone to put
A poem like yours, on their Internet
I am a widow
And your words truly did shock me
But when you involved your own daughter
I just about lost it, yes sir ree
I hadn't picked up on this side of you
In the poems of yours I'd read
And here on world wide internet
You bragged about the part your daughter played
Now I feel it is up to me,
To inform the whole world today
Tamiviolet as of right now,
You have just been tagged.

Premium Member Notre Dame

Notre Dame...Notre Dame...
your eight hundred years of wisdom’s gone;
eight hundred years of beauty strong;
architectural sage, Notre Dame.

Notre Dame your life has seen
so many broken centuries and
oh, the stories your stones could tell,
told by the ringing of your bells.

Will they rebuild you once again?
Will your façade grace more eyes and
then will you be the same as once;
can France’s spirit overcome this loss?

Survivor of revolution and two world wars;
you’ve stood beyond the bombing hoards.
How many strove to give you life?
Their legacy’s now a burning pyre.

One hundred eighty two years of sweat;
poured into stone and minaret.
Gothic, stained glass beauty of Pa-ree,
such blood and sweat poured into thee.

Oh Notre Dame...Notre Dame;
survivor of eight centuries;
what’s now to become of thee?

Written 4-15-19
As an artist, I am sorrowful for this beautiful loss but, glad that no lives were lost. When I think of those who poured their life’s work into Notre Dame’s Beauty, the artist, architects, stonemasons, carpenters and more, I feel an even stronger sense of loss than just that of an

Premium Member Joie De Vivre - Isn'T Life Sweet

Joie de Vivre - isn’t life sweet,
especially when you add a treat
like a delicious patisserie,
crème glacée, éclairs, le pan de mie,
chocolat, and le tarte aux fruits?

Eat not just fiber, cheese and meat!
Though you should eat these happily,
eat also sweetly, mon petit!
Joie de vivre.

Just one more stanza I repeat
(and this is for your joy complete)
Do more than eat to live! Like me,
to life and sweet desserts say Oui!
And every day - Bon appetit!
Joie de vivre.

For those who do not know the French words (which from my understanding, nearly rhyme in French the way they are pronounced by Americans):
Joie de Vivre - Joy of Living
Patisserie (pah-tees-ree)- pastry
Crème Glacée - ice cream
Le pan de mie - sweet bread
Le tarte aux fruits (le-tart-oh-frweet)- the fruit tart (or pie)
Chocolat and Eclairs, like in English
Mon petit: My little or My boy
Oui! - Yes!
Bon appetit - Enjoy your meal!

F.ree T.he W.aves!!!
Is what they say,,
Got my self some true tales
About the world today.
Oil job site fails.
Poor Sea World has to pay.
I found many black sea shells
Oil got in their way.
I wanna claw my nails.
On B.P.for turning our sand to clay
I can sit and give details
How they ruin our ocean bay
Instead I'm sending mean E-MAIL's
Expressing anger for their oily display.
How their stupidities drop our sales.
I hope they choke while eating a sea buffet
I hope someone feeds them sting-ray tails
As they drink coffee at there sea side cafe.
Everything sooner or later prevails
And ocean life will once again find a way.

God send them rain hit them with heavy hail
It's to late for B.P.to pray..
2 months of a black grave trail
((LOL)), B.P.you angered the US.A.
Getting off easy with no jail
That does not make things okay.
I will not wish you all to go to hell
After making the ocean a bigger body of dead prey
Your clean up time is slower than a sea snail
Many uncalled dead seagulls are found in your oily decay
Funny how the president takes the heat of your bail.
You screwed our blue ocean water to a stream of black and grey.

An oil site ran by a higher percent of males
Oh well what can you expect and say.
With the world in the way of oil spills.
Is like B.P.oil's is saying F.T.W.anyway.
While we the protesters say, F.ree T.he W.hales!!!
F.T.W.=free the whales!!!!!

Kept In the Dark

I am MacDougal's parrot, he taught me how to speak,
Whenever i repeat an obscene word, he chides, excuse your beak.
It happens when folk ask him, if i'm his cockatoo,
I'll fly into an awful rage, that's when the air turns blue.
He also has a butler, his name is Mister Ree,
Where the only time MacDougal talks, is sitting on his knee.
We are now entertainers, with unscripted repartee,
Where all our jokes backfire, upon the stooge, that's me.
I say, he says, let's holiday, i think i'll fly by air,
Then proffers me a bag of nuts, then says i'll meet you there.
But offstage we're the best of friends, together every day,
And listen to the radio, on stations where they play
The music from our favourite shows, where MacDougal's passions ballet,
While i am quite the opposite, for i'm more Tin Pan Alley.
We read the morning papers, and discuss the daily news,
Where we both agree to differ, and air our different views.
But slowly my suspicions grow, is there something i have missed,
Could MacDougal be a dummy, and Mister Ree his ventriloquist.
I would be disappointed, if it's reality,
Where MacDougal only could exist, with Ree's ability.

UNDER THE RED UMBRELLA

Under the red umbrella, sheltered in our rainy day nest,
my coal black heel lifts — our oneness beats in my chest.
Handsome in his dark suit, like an iron I press close —
my full-bodied lips a crimson shade, now our his, I suppose.

He calls me his wild Paris rose on these streets of shimmering gold.
The blush rushes to my cheeks and eyes — to him I’m sold.
Between the french kisses...ooh la la...we make lover’s jokes.
The circus tent of our wide-brimmed umbrella drips and soaks.

His fingers, like rain, touch my face, lift my chin, make me see him.
In turn my eyes dive into his, our green and blues take a swim,
turning teal as we ponder marriage with a family, life and love.
Vulnerable, I feel my nakedness as I remove my black silk gloves.

Under this unforgettable crimson cloud, we no longer hide,
except from the prying eyes of Paris la ville des lumières pride
My red dress clings, its waist slim, its curves vivacious — not shy.
Together two orphans stay dry — our passionate fire will not die.

Premium Member INTERVIEW WITH A GRAIN OF SAND

Sand of wisdom, I seek for your counsel
since you're prudent in warning against building on sinking sand...

Oh, your choice to interview me is commendable...
well, take these ABCs sands for character-building:

Always take a firm stand whether you're on rocky or sandy ground
Blossom beyond sandy soil if that's the only one available
Carve creations circumspectly using sand in your design...
Dare to do the impossible through God Who made sand everywhere
Explore* more, to learn about the greatness of the sand...

Wow! I am now getting your sandy point...
Are there some more?

Free yourself from getting sandwiched through faith's fortitude flight
Gear toward gracious glow while basking along sandy shore
Heartily share hope as you collect sand for your hour-glass gifts
Instruct about healthy benefits of walking along the sand on barefoot
Jubilantly pursue your dream of painting sunset brightening white sand...

Yes, yes... I will surely publish your advice
May I have your parting words, please?

Keep on appreciating life as gift, bearing in mind sand's vitality
Live along leading of the Lord, leaping high, leaving footprints in the sand!

Thanks so much!
