Cyborg Sleep

Cyborg Sleep

An image of a man stands serene against the rock cold wall
Vigilant eyes study the distant city
Elongated and curved shapes form in his mechanical mind
Only nature there to sense it’s out of place motions
The cybernetic organism, alien life
Coming to life on the barren world
A living machine, automaton, a time sentinel
Built with purpose
Watches with singular intent
All there is…. all that’s left
Never flinching…. Nearly motionless…. somber in demeanor
This replica of humans holds solid ground and waits
Programed to move occasionally at times
To generate power in its core components to survive
The guardian of humanity stands
A solid figure with a small metallic vile
Sheltered within hides a remnant DNA specimen strand
(It is the last fragment of human’s survival and hope)
Nestled deep in the power source
Atomic silent and serene it keeps the centuries still
In time to come, with luck
The cyborg will be cracked open like an egg one day
Perhaps by another benevolent humanoid race
To reassemble the family of man from the remnants left
Or the time sentinel will roam the Earth alone
Carrying humanity along literally in the heart
In an endless awakening from alien sleep
No one to ever know the secret that he keeps

Song of Analog Man

SONG OF ANALOG MAN

Don't blog.
Sing in analog.
Log-off in space.

Wasted time!
In machine rhyme.
Holding data in your face.

Past, heart shaped locket.
Present, gear and shinny sprocket.
Pendulum stops in place.

Time machine,speaks tick-tock.
Strings and loops, in quantum flick-flock.
Trying to save the human race.

What's the pattern,
what's the fear?
To everything that
we hold dear.
Endless stream of
one and zip.
Baked in a Pi
of Delta whip.

Here today and gone tomorrow.
Cry into your programed sorrow.
You are not, Computer Ace.

Find the F key, find the trouble.
Hit a key, and now it's double.
All else fails, report your case.

Don't throw ExBasic fits here!
Count the gigs to megabits dear.
Do your Loop in nested trace.

Forgot to multiply
the chain.
Did this really cook
your brain?
The functions solved for X and Y,
thrown a curve you won't embrace.

What's the pattern,
what's the fear?
To everything that
we hold dear.
Endless stream
of one and zip.
Baked in a Pi
of Delta whip.

A swirl of chips and funny numbers.
Formulas, our life encumbers.
Are we truly lost in place?

Can we backtrack and count our fingers?
Toes and noes, the feeling lingers.
Of pendulums, and golden lockets,
and crystals used for mama's vase.

He wants a song, to strum guitar strings.
Don't complicate, the how to live things.
Digital, can we erase?

Analog he really savors.
No prologue to quantum favors.
Do away and please efface!

What's the pattern,
what's the fear?
To everything that
we hold dear.
Endless stream
of one and zip.
Baked in a Pi
of Delta whip.

Anxiety

There is a stress that is brought upon a person from a source not of his own making. Also, there is a different self-born/inflicted type, though unplanned, yet avoidable. Since becoming an adult and finishing college, I have been jobless at least four times. Each period of unemployment caused stress, discomfort, and some anxiety.

In the Spring of 1974, after resigning a position with a drug rehabilitation program, I had no idea what I would be doing next. I had been married less than two years, with a baby less than one year old. As I recall, the Lord being merciful to me, I was able to find employment in a relatively short period of time.

In the Fall of 1974, I quit my job as a baker and moved some 600 miles to another state. The move became a source of anxiety. Nevertheless, I began to grow as a person and a christian. I have heard it said, "Nothing ventured; Nothing gained." In my early years, it seems that I was programed to take giant leaps of faith; but currently, not so much. Rain usually comes with a storm; and roses are surrounded by thorns.

In Fall of 1978, yet again, I resigned a social program and moved to another state 2000 miles away. I have learned that adversity is good for me; and also that it is not good to drive while looking through the rear view mirror.

In 2003, the company for which I worked for 25 years went out of business. It was not easy starting over at 54 years of age in an economy recovering from the pain of "911". In my view, anxiety does not have to be a death warrant, nor does stress signal a terminal illness. On the contrary, they may well be a warning for us to 'kick it' into another gear.

Oppressed and the Oppressor

You can see, yet you do not see
A hole, where a heart should be
You can hear, but do not heed
The screams and cries of those that bleed
Can speak, but are strangely quiet
Oblivious to the disquiet

You can clearly see the discrimination
But are programed by the oppressors narration
Your humanity has turned to stone
Your hatred of the oppressed way overblown
“They are a different faith. Their colour isn’t right.
They are the enemy we have to fight”
You’re taught they are evil, your side is always right
Is it right? That people are harmed?
The child, the father, the mother, sister or brother
Who these tyrants say are bad, so they kill and smother

Beleaguered and desperate, they had arisen
Millions now sealed in an dilapidated prison
and still their homes and land being forcibly stolen
These unfortunate wretched people
The world has left alone and broken

Your logic, “the invaded should sit and take it,
We are justified to kill and maim as we see fit,
Slay all who oppose us, scare them straight,
How dare they fight for liberty,
They should just accept their fate,
If to the occupation they don’t submit,
Stamp them into the ground, defiance we can’t permit”
The women, the children, the men, and the old
All a viable target, a fictional tale can later be told”

What can be done? Pause. Let go of hate, Just a fraction
Give peace a chance, stop the territorial expansion
Split the land and each to his own
Let go of the loathing, leave each other alone
Just stop the killing, every life is dear
Better to live in peace than in fear

(just my thoughts, your free to disagree)

Premium Member Let Me Serve You

Recently, I thought upon the story of Jesus and his disciples having their Last Supper together. I considered the fact that there were few food items with which to part take. Or were there? For example, just to name a few, there was the bread, the water, and the wine; there seems to be no record of any other foods present. Or were there? There were other types of non physical food items present; the kind that does not enter via the mouth. For example, love, tenderness, and compassion were very present. Should I even mention that there was The Presence of The Almighty God wrapped in human flesh and speaking of how much he appreciated having a meal with his disciples?

Moreover, there was also selfishness with a topping of desires to be the greatest. There was a 'power struggle' between his disciples at the divine table of God. There was the 'love of money' saturated with greed; and so obvious to everyone, there was an overflowing of over confidence and down right cockiness.

'Servant hood', although not a very desirable and tasty item, was also a highly present entree. It moves me to tears to think upon the vast menu and entree at God's table. However, I am forced to choose only one entree for this Divine purpose. My taste buds gravitate toward 'the entree of service'. I must confess that this taste bud is not a 'natural one', but one obtained by observing the "Master Server" who said, "I am among you as one who serves". Lk. 22:7

We are programed by nature with a desire to be served. A baby is born with an attitude that does not ask, "May I help you please?" On the contrary, it seems to come with a list of demands like, "I want food, and I want it now!" Nothing is wrong with the baby. It's just the way we are born into this world.

Let me suggest that when we gather as family and friends for dinner this Easter, let there be something on the table more than ham and roast and a host of other delicious foods. let's open our spiritual eyes a little bit wider. I think that we will notice the Christ, not only serving up the 'Bread of Life" and saying, "Let Me Serve You", but He would be inviting us to join him in 'serving one another'.

06 Generation X

Another year upon us
raw and longing
Swallow the feeling
and nonsense they're feeding
Corruption of souls
out of control
Missing in action
disasters are maximum
Defenses, expenses
apparent regreting
Incisive decisions
still failing their missions
Brainwashed from the womb
lead astray through bitter days
Broken wing in fields a blaze
programed to the pain
Follow the leader
that bleeds you dry
Follow the leader
that helps you die
Never ending
mothers cry
Same old story
diffrent times.

Platos dualism…
                         Laertius' "magi”
The most noble say we are an extraordinary event
And I agree with their logic and sentiment
An opportunity occurrence heaven sent

We are an awesome manifestation
We clearly embody an abstract incarnation
In His image complete systems of software emulation

The source energy, burning light, heat, oxygen
A flame ignites testosterone in the equation, estrogen
Essence sparks imagination, particles in circuits charging

Our sensors switched on, physical phenomenon's
Immanuel Kant contrasted it with noumenon's
A thing that is in itself sensed by humans

That which cannot be a direct observation
A world with what might be a spatial dimension
Möbius noted it rotates onto its mirror-image realization

Ruling that it is a universal mind bend
Something unseen to us and a god send
A conscience is alive and will transcend

Grasp the form of order among us, become analytic
These the concepts of the transcendental aesthetic
Leaving what’s not genuine or natural, synthetic

From experience discussions well-reasoned
Born with a formula programed and seasoned
Encrypted to crack codes to play roles in treason

We very well maintain the skeptic stance
Jesus a glitch to some who have no acceptance
But when focused and in a meditative trance
We embrace what is a peaceful coexistence

Bursting when the cosmos quest exploded
Interrelated tech terms, intelligence encoded
Beliefs of the understanding Empiricus’s philosophy noted
Martin Luther's theses, religious revolution then toted

Over conclusions that are only opinion
A servile dependent or a minion
The results will send us into oblivion

Has shown us that by suspending judgment
And by refusing speculative argument
Estimating the quality of worth and engagement

One achieves the state of ataraxia
Good conduct and the practice of eupraxia
Generating good health and euphoria

And through research and great finds
What philosophers teach and is best for mankind
Suspend judgment and attain tranquility of mind

Cats On Mars

Cats from Earth eat fish on sunny beaches
(Umbrellas optional, not included)
Unlike sharks they use tiny teeth to chew
And get motion sickness when traveling too

Seas hold goodies for feline nutritional needs
(Canned dolphins and goldfish don't come to mind)
Health considerations are forefront for all kitties
Mars has no menu of any kind

The trip from kitchen to couch is tiring
Fat cats dislike all travel including space
Mars is far, too far away to go for cat food
Felines are all about lazy

Stores on Earth are closer, (but closed)
Little critters don't eat red rock formations
Metal machines are better suited for taste tests
Programed for soil sampled treats

Expectations are high when there is gravity
Cats can't fly…. They stray (on 4 feet we think)
Don't be surprised… Cats can't fly
(When they do, they use rockets)

Even so... Why Mars? (They can't afford it.)
No money…. No pockets
The red planet has no milk or fish
Cats starve without their favorite dishes

Death is not a pretty sight
Emails are hard to recover on distant planets
When dead, lifeless paws make it even harder
(Cats don't type to begin with without a cause)

Cats like to breath oxygen once in a while
Some like to live outside the liter box
Live out nine lives lazy on a more inner planet
The 3rd. one out to be precise

The Red Planet is not so kind in that regard
Not equipped to handle little kitties needs
Meteorites crush their tiny heads to smithereens
Messing up their fluffy fur and happy day

Radiation burns them to a crisp
Life on Mars is harder than you think
Craters cause more than aches and pains
Frost bite gets in the way of play and pleasure

Like we said
Cats on Mars don't live so well without oxygen
They could die from lack of food and water
Or even overexposure to themselves

It's better they stay home on Earth
The place where they come from
That way they can be fed
Instead of something worse

In the end this is something else
Cats On Mars is just a title
There are no cats on Mars
Only turtles

My Machine

My Machine

My machine doesn’t need me around no more
It lets me live out of nostalgia and basic needs
Programed to feed me small morsels
Knowing my kind created it and others like it
Assembled along the line
I would swear it was a socialist by design
But machines have no feelings when they cry
Crime is not on their mind when calculating
Machines line up humans in factories to work
To make more of them in reproduction
That's how they breed
I call mine mom because it cares for me
Human workers have no rights no more
Permitted to pray to Computer One at alter on factory floors
They let us fulfill their every need
Allow us to sleep a few hours in a week
We feed the king, our leader, the machine
Who comes with many parts but no receipts
Mom gives me a list with perfect instructions
For endless production
Machines never kiss their subjects
That would be unclean and perhaps destructive
Love is a one way street when it comes to machines
Mine just simply keeps me around like a pet
Perhaps they like to watch us sweat

Killing Machines

Only eighteen and conscripted to the military,
no choice of mine it was the norm at this time and scary,
barely out of school and still wet behind the ear,
too young to watch an adult movie or have a beer.

Disadvantaged to study and too white to be left behind,
this I never understood till today, rightfully grew up blind,
this pain will never leave me as I walk through life,
explaining, I can’t understand myself, the past strife.

Ready to be trained to kill another nation’s child,
leaving their family with the loss and our side smiled,
dejected as I waved goodbye to my family that day,
my girlfriend was there too and my friends to stay.

To a military camp for 2 years, programed and trained,
based in Kimberley 900 Km to be mentally stained,
infantry intelligence was my involuntary military calling,
not knowing what was in store for our adult life’s stalling.

On my new bed listening to songs of memory and waiting,
corporals, sergeants screaming at youths scared, hating,
nobody knowing what or who, or how, where to show,
disconnected from family and treated like **** dough.

Moulding us into military men without feelings,
chased and forced without asking or dealings,
involuntary wearing uniforms, carrying death,
brainwashed, to march in unison, out of breath.

Bushwhacking, crawling under barbed mesh,
ripping our faces, shredding our young flesh,
many a youth destroyed mentally for gore,
but guaranteed that we were ready for war.

Your rifle is your wife; the military is your mother,
drilled into our minds and began a smother,
fired our weapons at fabricated enemy,
re-loading and then screaming with venom.

Indoctrination and mental instability forced,
not ourselves but killing machines endorsed,
spread across African borders to kill on sight,
innocent, women and child death is our right.

Many a friend made and many a friend lost,
this is for our nation, family and worth the cost,
under the impression of protecting our nation,
living off measly dehydrated and shared ration.

We the soldiers of our South African un-united nation,
proud and ready to destroy, our new minds creation,
all others were the enemy and terrorists,
to them we were the same to kill and create hero lists,

Friends and Time with family are lost forever,
memories of the past in our conscience lost never.

Self Confidence Will Allow Us

Self confidence will allow us

To conquer our fears

And our limitations

So that we no longer have
to be
a victim of our own failures

Because we can climb above
and over all the hurdles
that are standing in front of us

And we can change our
failures and turn them
into accomplishments

Just by changing
our attitudes

And that’s just half the battle

The rest is fairly simple

Because each and everyone of us
are blessed with
our own unique gifts and talents

We just need to learn
how to bring
them to the surface

So that we may continue
to hold our heads up high

No matter what we may face

Because this will give us
the opportunity
to believe in ourselves

So that we may acquire
the inner
strength that is within us

And the self confidence

To conquer and defeat
our failures
and our own weaknesses

And the obstacles that we face
and the I cant do this attitudes
that lie underneath the surface

Because we are all
programed for success

Self confidence will allow us

To conquer our fears

And our limitations

So that we no longer have
to be
a victim of our own failures

Daily Illuzions

I wanna state a cardiac arrest for ya chest
Detest your own humidity within humanity, cats rest in vanity
Controlling underground charisma the mic got me checking
Wrecking one image of fame at a time
Cursed vines connecting family to 10 o clock news
Dues payed, lives strayed in the fray battling demonic entities
Loving life as it was given to me never forgetting how bad days are now
Whatever happened to old love music and jazzy tunes programed to everyone's ear
Fears hold hearts by the numbers count beyond two plus two into thunder
Anesthetic agility slaying demographic amendment abilities
Beckoning nucleic AC's, base combination weeds
Growing fast forget what you knew last
Before trash wonders pounce into eyes of ghetto stricken children
Stereotyped to end up living in hatreds domain, so much pain
Vividly orchestrated symbolically government debated
No-one has awakened accept a lesser few
Scripted by transcendentalist dues, golden hues and cyripted clues
BOOM!, did you feel my vibe
Arise and cry your hearts content, repent what grounds gravitational
Ration cuz they called me action with a little bit of attraction
For tainted pictures posted on shopping center windows
JC penny pillows, couches and Nintendos
Forget all the unnecessary smiles and hug with love's style
Is it wrong to file times when wrong was right
Darkness was light, she became vigilante bright
Yo...this poetry thing is so tight
I just wish i found it earlier in mainstream ignorance
To electrify my repentance mechanism
Schisms tattooed onto tribal ancestor blades
vector shijin played
Yuki im comin girl
Your my world and much more, although I love Viviana
until my heart dies of pore romanticism interpretations
Pounding silhouettes emancipation anticipate that
See i'm just one of a few that appreciate metaphores
and naturalistic lore, women with imaginative cores
Naw it aint hard, see im just cruzin
but i guess its hard to contemplate daily iluzions.

Rationality and Emotion Quotes

"Rationality has the tendency to be unconsciously prejudiced, we have to do better by looking at and exploring different correct (true and ideal) principles, phenomena, perspectives etc. if we are truly ready to begin"

"Negative emotion should be tamed, it is the human default syndrome of reacting or interacting with the environment, it is a barrier to understanding, wisdom, knowledge and the discovery of truth"

"The truly wise and intelligent ones admit not knowing (uncertainty), but some people confront and conclude ignorantly"

"Not all cognition is rational (some are altered or propelled by emotion or a mixture both), yet rationality tends to be programed, while emotion tends to be triggered according to comprehension"

"Even the most rational are unaware of their prejudices but it is more likely for the most emotional to be aware and acknowledge this"

"The lower a person's rate of prejudice, the higher the chance that the individual will understand original things and notice-admit human fallibleness"
