Premium Member I Love My State of Oregon

Oregon’s, wildlife, mountains, lakes, and bogs
Fields of green, awaken refreshed at dawn
Where salmon runs the rivers blue to spawn
Drawn wandering above the sea of fog

Black-tailed and mule deer birth their newborn fawns
Where shaggy mane elks labor their spring calves
Rustle sounds while they graze off open paths
Wander under the full moon of predawn

Sea of umbrellas on rainy season
Fireplace frames warm sputtering ember flames
Snow cold, in fella’s embrace with no shame
Turning me into shades of pink crimson

Savoring the earth's nurturing labor
Giving my heart to the verdant nature

                                    Leaving behind the city grime
and angry crowded streets of crime.
The chimneys belching smoke and ash
                                     clinging to the window’s sash.

                             Filling wagons with prized possessions,
facing our westward journey, like hessians.
                              “Westward Ho” was the call of the day;
we began our journey without delay.

                                  A caravan of hopeful dreams
	                         driving cattle herds in teams,
facing the harshness of rough terrain
wind, sand storms, and pouring rain.

The journey hard ~ without remorse,
	                    losing lives throughout our course.
Crossing rivers and narrow mountain passes,
where rocky paths where thick with brush and grasses.

Fighting Indians and thieves we managed to survive
through cholera and wounds ~ the lucky stayed alive.
We buried souls in shallow graves ~ as we travelled on our way,
marking stones and crude crosses, we knelt down to pray.

To lessen our burden we made concessions
left behind ~ our family possessions
to arrive where the mountains meet the sky
and nights illuminated with stars up high,

where fertile valleys wave and roll
filling our dreams, filling our souls.
The Oregon Trail brought us here,
building a life, in a new frontier.

Oregon Coast Vacation

My heart yearns for a place of peaceful desire
A place where the impulse of adventure will entice
Florence, Newport, and Yachats Oregon Coast where the tall pine grow
Where rivers and ocean are turquoise gradient of paradise

A place where the impulse of adventure will entice
Camping, hiking, dune riding, and sightseeing bringing you back to childhood
Where rivers and ocean are turquoise gradient of paradise
The gentle swells of the waves rise and fall; smells of brine and wet-wood

Camping, hiking, dune riding, and sightseeing bringing you back to childhood
Cool twilight of the day fades drawing shadows obscured by trees
The gentle swells of the waves rise and fall; smells of brine and wet-wood
A lovely quiet haven for elk, deer, bear, owls, pelicans, and sea lions

Cool twilight of the day fades drawing shadows obscured by trees
As we gaze up towards the universe twilight; kisses settling in with tranquility
A lovely quiet haven for elk, deer, bear, owls, pelicans, and sea lions
Could not deny ourselves the intervention with nature’s beauty

As we gaze up towards the universe twilight; kisses settling in with tranquility
Florence, Newport, and Yachats Oregon Coast where the tall pine grow
Could not deny ourselves the intervention with nature’s beauty
My heart yearns for a place of peaceful desire

The Oregon Ducks

A day belongs to you and I
side by side swings the impossible
ways of doubt.

To embrass the true moment
only to quiver to turn back
embaresment to huttle that
touch down goal.

We will embark on tackt as it
shall be conquered to a new
habitate known as the quack
attack!

GO DUCKS!!!

Oregon Trail

In-pine-sweet air
In humus soil
Is where I rest, away from care,
And trail weary toil.

One morning feathers filled the air,
With wooden shafts that sped
And left this traveler to lie
With poisoned arrowhead.

Premium Member Daybreak In Oregon

Today the air seems cold and still
darkness has triumphed over the day

when hope for the return of daylight
touches of a lavender appear in the sky above

looking east the horizon is a rich royal blue
with black mountain silhouetted highlights

to the west sky is dark purple a grayish tint
mountains are sleeping lazily on the landscape

without any doubt daylight is approaching
there is a struggle within the night time sky

the heavens in the east sky begin to glow
to the west the sky is painted a reddish hue

darkness fatigues with this celestial glory
the earth awakens and begins to glow

Victory is a daybreak in Oregon

An Oregon View 2k13

A meadow of Spring,
due west evergreens peering down;
yonder above snowy Hood.

An Oregon Spring 2k13

The surface most trod

showered by golden rays of fresh Spring;

Lo! Beauteous Oregon.

"STATE OF OREGON" flag
A Navy blue field
Escutcheon in gold
The majestic American eagle
Stands proudly above
Expressing support for
Its admittances in
Eighteen-hundred-fifty-nine
Into the union with thirty-three stars
A blazing sun setting
Over the Pacific Ocean,
Mountains, forests and a Conestoga wagon
All representing the dynamic natural resources
And splendor of Oregon
And the early settlers to the territory

A state with acres
Of farm land, mountains, forest, and beaches
Crystal clear aqua blue streams and rivers
Brilliant blue skies, breathing sweet fresh air

“The Beaver State”
Rated with its state flag
Shown proudly on the other side
Of our Oregon State flag
Only flag that proudly stands by its
Oregon state animal

Oregon Inmate Vs Nike

Oregon Inmate VS Nike

Nike’s been sued for its Air Jordan sneaks
I’m thinking the lawsuit’s a little bit weak
It’s by a young pimp caught beating a “john”
By stomping and kicking him on and on, on
He said that the “john” had skipped out on a client
And he was teaching the “john” how to be more compliant
He was charged with the use of a dangerous weapon
The shoes he was wearing when he did the stepin’
He’s claiming that Nike is partially to blame
For they made the “weapon” that he used to maim
He said there’s no warning on the box or the shoe
That say’s it’s a dangerous weapon – Who knew!

Oregon

the land time forgot
home of the sasquatch,indian
fishing is supreme

Portland Oregon

Thrice a coin did flip in the air
   methodology affixing this state
   located Latitude: 45° 31', North Longitude: 122° 39', West
heads and tails two early settles did blare
Asa Lovejoy and Francis W. Pettygrove respectively
knew after two tosses of copper or silver piece
name of newfound Pacific Northwest settlement
would be a synonym for stout liquor crystal clear
said namesake t’would be epitomized
and accepted by former resident of Maine to win the bet fair
despite a brilliant columnar luminescent shaft
which beam of sun created a near blinding glare
guaranteeing observant native creatures
camouflaging in the verdant undergrowth shielding and attentive hare
despite sitting stock still just a hair breath near
seemingly clasping paws in the guise of a prayer
 synonymous with other natural phenomena
like the indigenous fauna and flora never before seen and rare
to these newcomers settling along the confluence
of the Willamette and Columbia rivers
whose present occupants now approaching the two hundredth year!

Yachats, Oregon

Creeping in to crash
in a surge of turbulence
and a crescendo of froth
the tide returns.

Endless eternal crashing,
eons of smashing into
rocks worn smooth
as obsidian.

Great lava rocks thrown about
by the shore now lapped in calm
as out to sea the building
of another cycle begins.

Slowly it builds
growing in heighth
building the roar
to engulf once again ...
Forevermore.

Astoria Oregon

A small town in Oregon
Fishing boats curzing along the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean
Busy, fishing, boats
City of many fishers
They tell me you can smell the ocean, for I belive them the smell of the salty water in the air
And they tell me that the harbors are beautiful looking out over the ocean
And they tell me that the portsare always busy from the fishing
And having answered I will come see these places you talk so high of
Flinging toward the beautiful scenery of the Pacific Ocean
Fierce with everything that goes on in the city, a city made for movies
Astoria column,
Beauty,
Calm,
Historic Nature,
Harbors all aroud the city, restoring history, small quit town
Under the beauty is a historic town, a place meant for movies, the smell of the ocean air takes you away
Under everything Astoria is a piece of art holding onto its historic beauty
Enjoying the nice warm summer days and the cool summer nights
Astoria is a clam quit place compared to Portland a busy and noisy city
Astoria has forests on one side of the city and the ocean on the other and the historic look of Astoria continues to live on
A small town in Oregon, harbors, ports, fishing boats curzing along the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean, busy, fishing, boats, city of many fishers, making movies, Astoria column, beauty, calm, hitoric nature, horbors all around the city, restoring history, small quit town

Roseburg, Oregon

This poem is dedicated to heroes who were killed in Roseburg, Oregon just because they were Christians.
Today you left this world...
Today you stood the test...
Deny Christ and live,
proclaim Him and face the death...
You didn't have time to say goodbye...
Your last word was firmly "YES"
You wouldn't hug your son or daughter
but you will meet your God...
Roseburg, Oregon is crying...
Today mothers lost their children...
Fathers sitting silent,
friends are weeping...
They stood the test until the end
and now they are in heaven...
Oh please, don't cry my friend...
Soon will be there with God forever...
