Oregon State Flag "STATE OF OREGON" flag A Navy blue field Escutcheon in gold The majestic American eagle Stands proudly above Expressing support for Its admittances in Eighteen-hundred-fifty-nine Into the union with thirty-three stars A blazing sun setting Over the Pacific Ocean, Mountains, forests and a Conestoga wagon All representing the dynamic natural resources And splendor of Oregon And the early settlers to the territory A state with acres Of farm land, mountains, forest, and beaches Crystal clear aqua blue streams and rivers Brilliant blue skies, breathing sweet fresh air “The Beaver State” Rated with its state flag Shown proudly on the other side Of our Oregon State flag Only flag that proudly stands by its Oregon state animal By: Eve Roper 7/16/2015 Contest Name: Your Country State City Flag Sponsor: Judy Konos

I enjoyed your poem Eve. I see your state honors the beaver. The beaver is our national symbol, it adorns our nickle.

Thank you, Rick, we also have The Oregon State Beavers Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon The Oregon Ducks of the University of Oregon, located in Eugene, Oregon, Or always reviles when it comes to their football teams the fans go crazy “fun crazy”
