Premium Member Let Us Honor All Obnoxious Fools

Let us honor where possible all of earth's fools
Who remind us that others view us the same way,
Who might also be brothers, if not on this day
Or the conflict this moment, prove friend in some way!
Where's the profit when violence makes us its tools.

When you look in a mirror, reflect on who's there,
Is he flawlessly pure or has he made mistakes
You aren't keen to uncover, who learns more from breaks
That his mother might give him, than the belt his dad takes
To the woodshed, "to learn him?" Tell me what's more "fair!"

Can harsh punishment ever be Love's consequence?
Was Christ's death for our faults or to show us God's Grace
That was there all along? In such pain lies embrace
That no man should ignore. "Jesus wept!" Liquid's trace!
Don't you feel His tears shed, their revealed eloquence?

If this day is my last, Lord, let me not conceal,
Worst shame's flaw in pride's shade that might proffer one light,
To a fellow fool feeling he's lost. Can the night
Be a tent for our nakedness, mellow sin's sight
To the sinless? Can sin be excused, if You're real?

Your forgiveness seems path more inviting than free.
Oh, in faith lies the journey where I hope to roam,
There discover provisions you share, a new home,
One where coming or going, Your Word's just "Shalom!"
And the rainbow's curved smile shines for all that can be.

Premium Member Obnoxious Laugh

It's funny when people complain
about you having an obnoxious laugh
(and yet they're as cold as ice).
There's no need to explain yourself to this person.
Not when a good drawn out fit of laughter
would suffice!

Openly opinionated
Blunt with few social skills
Nobody likes a know it all
Overbearing and rude
Xanthippe – this speaks for itself!
Ignorant of the feelings of others
Often wrong but you will never admit it
Unwilling to listen to advice
So full of your own importance

Why do you treat people so badly?
Other people’s opinions matter
Maybe you should take a good look at yourself
All people deserve to be treated with respect
NEVER cross my path again

The New Year's celebrations are over
Back to business as usual, regain our composure
No more acting like a louse
Being obnoxious around the house
No more excuses for acting like our dog Rover

YOU WERE WARNED
THE DOLLAR WOULD CRASH.
DESTRUCTION OF WEALTH
TOOK PLACE AT LAST.

DID YOU DO
WHAT YOU WERE TOLD.
INVEST YOUR DOLLARS
IN SILVER AND GOLD.

TODAY WE HAVE
JUST RICH AND POOR.
MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE
EXSIST NO MORE.

YOU MUST STAND
IN ORDER TO FIGHT.
IMPOSED STARVATION
WAS CONSIDERED A RIGHT.

STARVE THE MASSES
CALLED IT POPULUS CONTROL.
YOU CAN SLAVE FOR THE RICH
IF YOU DO AS YOUR TOLD.

WITH CAOS AND MAYHEM
ACROSS THE LAND.
THE RICH DON'T CARE
WHAT THE POOR DEMAND.

Premium Member Robocalls and Other Obnoxious Calls

I just received my umpteenth robocall today!
I rather enjoy fencing with those dudes and the nonsense they relay!
I let them babble on, most of which I don't understand,
Since the caller wrestles with the English language from a foreign land.
One insisted I needed an extended maintenance warranty on my car.
She explained the advantages of the plan and said it would carry me far.
When asked the mileage on the car I told her, "675OOO miles or so",
She said, "Oh", and slamming down the phone I told her where to go!
Another feller called offering zero interest on my credit card.
I listened offering a few "unhuhs" now and then, ever on my guard!
I told him I thought his scheme was just a sugar-coated flimsy-flam!
He lost 'interest' in me when I told him I had no 'interest' in his scam!
A roofing guy called to state due to a recent hail storm in town,
Surely, I must have suffered damage to my house and he would be down,
For a free estimate to replace the roof, gutters and any other calamity.
I told him no thanks, no damage, and he hung up with a dearth of amity!
A chap from Timbuktu called to say that my computer was on the fritz.
Now, I've had experience with his type and I savor matching wits!
For only 400 bucks he'd repair my 'puter and have it humming in a trice!
My 'puter is purring fine and told him to find someone else to entice!
I consider my day a loss if I don't receive the dreaded robocall;
I suppose, though, if it were not for them I wouldn't receive any calls at all!

A word to know well—
Someone who’s contemptible!
A coward for sure . . .
	Infamous and obnoxious . . .
A miscreant immoral!

Obnoxious Beat

Midnight thunder upon my head
and I have no place to put my bed
Darkness covers the bereaved sky
And big trucks are rolling by
Cars speeding up and down the haggard street
And the crickets are rebelling in the trees
The owl sits on the broken branch
hooting a miserable song
They watched mighty men scramble around
looking for a passion that has broken down
They hold down their heads in shame
While the base rips its garment in two
and every one slowly drifts away looking confused
The night is not quiet and my soul is on fire
I cannot tell from whence it came
but something is going up in flame
The wind is blowing from East to West
And I am waiting on an unannounced guest
who has all the power to uncover the mess
The day of reckoning is approaching
And the glimmer and glamour is drowning
This night has pierced my troubled soul and
the story starts to unfold
The obnoxious beat echoed through the floor
And the night bore its penalty
While darkness looms over the contentious house

Those Obnoxious Facebook Game Requests

Those Obnoxious Facebook Game Requests

By Elton Camp

Anthony’s weiner I’d nearly as soon see
As your game request number thirty-three

You sent another as you’ve done before
And once again, I fully intend to ignore

Of all things the Facebookers post,
I despise game requests the most

They are just so disgustingly inane
From sending more, please refrain

Your idiot dog’s pic is better than that
Or even one showing your hairball cat

Perhaps this will help you to realize
How much game requests I despise

Excuse me, please, if I am not impressed
By the unnecessary barb shot at another,
By plain rudeness and blatant snarkiness
Especially aimed at my sister or brother.

I’m totally turned off by a nasty attitude
Or overbearing and narcissistic behavior,
On the other hand, I’m all for pulchritude.
Yeah, I like beauty in all forms and flavors.

Then, those people who feel entitled,
Living off the largesse they did not earn
Whose arrogance goes about unbridled
I doubt those ne’er-do-wells will ever learn.

Yep, these folks, they simply turn me off
I don’t care to be around their kind,
I know, I know, some of them will scoff
But, as for me, they won’t change my mind.

Obnoxious Kitty

Cat,
this may be your last day,
How do you want to spend it?
Laying out on the driveway..
Maybe under my car..
In the tunnel by the creek..
Perhaps in the bush on the other side of the fence,
Tormenting my dogs on the fence because you have no other defense?
Maybe leaving huge dukes in the planter and front yard,

Your day will come *****cat..
When all your obnoxious purring will pay off.
Ill open that sliding glass door and the last seconds of life will be chaos,
You'll try to scram up the fence, your butt getting stuck on a branch,
Tia and Freddy will be so happy they finally made their catch!

Each piece of greenery falls to mildew.
On wood, a harsh fungus echoes sinew.
Agony squirmed and sloughed in my body
Then, all tumble, I grieve and feel guilty.

Glare from sunlight is gentler than rougher
Neither full nor snares my kindness, ever.
In this skirmish, there is a yearly brawl.
Yet, Vivid lights will no longer dazzle.

My feet will at last splash out all I've done.
Assume strolling on a once lush and shone.
The thrills strike my spirit and shred the core.
And then sing the fall in calm voice ashore.

You adorn your womb and lure us each year.
Yet, the loathsome frost's weep I overhear.

Keep Your Obnoxious Baby To Yourself

Keep Your Obnoxious Baby to Yourself

By Elton Camp

You may think the world revolves around your brat
But I don’t agree and think it looks like a sick rat

From every body opening, disgusting fluids it spews
Close contact with something like that I don’t choose

How can you expect an inordinate amount of praise
For a creature that’s red and has a cross-eyed gaze

Every few minutes it will either defecate or urinate
How could such an odious entity fail, others to irritate

A big part of the time it spends entirely sound asleep
Awake, there’s screaming & crying from the little creep

And then you have the incredible nerve to be so bold
To suggest that your baby I might somehow like to hold

That’s an honor that I most certainly will decline to take
Why, I had far rather pick up and hold some rattlesnake

Babies and dogs are two things for which I have a dislike
Given a choice, I’d prefer holding Fido over your little tyke

(Just kidding—mostly)

More of My Obnoxious Poems

My Many Obnoxious Poems

How you write and prepare your poems is based on your
favorite poems you end up imitation. In my case, they are
Will Rogers whose statue you see in the Capital Building
especially on TV and Robert Frost and Ogden Nash. So
think about that fact when you are reading my from out
of the blue poems with no reflection to Duke, sky blue
waters of Minnesota or Carolina Blue along with deep
blue seas and blue and gray. Red, white and blew is
my favorite subject. You can start reading any time
that you want to. Tis what I came up with after
listening to another day of MSNBC. Oh say can you
see NBC.

Trump and His Spit

Into his own spit, Trump did take a deep dip,
Off more of his orange hair he had them clip;
Improve his look,
Vitamins he took;
With our joy, in middle of sea should jump ship.

Picture of Trump

Trump a picture apparently did paint,
Of him looking  like a splendid saint;
Tainted could tell,
By the bad smell;
We all have known he really ain't.

Trump Winning Game

When Trump will want to win each game,
At Hillary he always will have to take aim;
We are delighted,
Is short-sighted;
He does give Democrats all of the blame.

We found that each time that Trump gambles,
Country ended up in complete state of shambles;
Use of verb,
Does disturb;
Instead of prayer at tables said his preambles..

Jim Horn

PS. Just think. When I have written 5,280
poems I will have written a mile of poems.
Am getting close.
