Best Numerous To Mention Poems

Premium Member The Night Santa Left Me In Stitches

Twas the night before Christmas and I was a gasp
at the rumors that filled me with an odious fright.
For Santa Claus was now tired of working for free
and would be harvesting organs well into the night.
He would be looking for kidneys, livers and hearts
as well as others too numerous to mention.
All this was designed to lower his cost of production
and help his Elves with their healthcare and pension.

The reporters reported the disheartening news
that dear Santa had put an end to holiday cheer.
And to lock all our windows and batten the doors
to prevent a Christmas which could end only in tears.
Now the Media's record of telling the truth
was often wrong and extremely spotty at best.
So I had faith in Saint Nick and his message of hope
and would not give in to the lies they address.

So I fell into slumber to awake Christmas morning
and put my trust in the jolly old Elf.
But awoke latter that night when the stomping of hooves
caused several books to fall from the shelf.
Quickly grabbing a candle... I flew down the stairs
to see my tree laden with presents and toys.
As dear Santa had come through with his usual flair
and my trepidation turned to wonder and joy.

So I opened a window and peered through the night
and spotted the old Elf at the head of his sleigh.
I heard him yell from afar as he drove out of sight,
'You should rest in bed for most of the day.'
I pondered his point... unsure what he meant
as my body began to shimmy and shiver.
And as sure as the bells that would ring Christmas morn...
that fat bastard had taken half of my liver.

So as I lay in the bed and considered my stress
and the reason for my tension and plight.
But put it aside... when I realized by giving an organ
I put the spirit of Christmas in a more favorable light.

Weather Alert, Expect Hard Freeze
Miracle Man
October 31, 2023

The weather alert started with a northwest breeze,
and said before morning we’d see a hard freeze.

But this won’t be the earliest freeze I’ve seen,
for it isn’t uncommon to predate Halloween.

The results of this, green leaves will be browned,
and I still had garden hoses laying aground.

Each year I’m slower doing winterizing chores,
Just the thought of winter drives me indoors.

I’ve put things on hold too numerous to mention,
a warm cozy fire always steals my attention.

The furnace must be checked before turning it on,
and all large windows heavy drapes to be drawn.

It’s hard to get motivated feeling chained to a walker,
I guess my main fear is I’m becoming a balker.

Early each morn I have thoughts about writing,
but most thoughts of late aren’t overly inviting.
And Jesus loves me!

This car has features too numerous to mention.
Motoring along the streets would garner a lot of attention.
How quickly it accelerates is an experience that is great.
Under the hood is a big and powerful V8.

The way it moves would quicken anyone's heartbeat.
However, I would be too afraid to park it on any street.
A ride in this vehicle would provide a thrill that is pure.
I can't imagine how much it would cost to insure.

More than a million bucks for something on four wheels.
I would say I have seen many more reasonable deals.
Nobody can deny such a machine would be nice.
Anybody can buy a comfortable home for the same price.

A Dangerous Lane To Go Down

Of all the lanes we could go down,
Memory Lane may be the most dangerous of all.

If you choose to take a trip down this lane,
There are a few precautions it would be wise to take.
Be prepared for an emotional roller coaster,
Ideally you should start the journey emotionally detached,
With any preconceived ideas left behind,
And take time to visit more than just past wrongs,
It is a journey best postponed if suffering from fuzzy logic
Or Selective memory loss.
Wearing rose tinted glasses may not be a good idea.
Choose wisely any travelling companions.
Avoid alcohol or drugs for 24 hours before starting journey.

If you think the journey down is problematic,
The return journey may be more so.
Checking your baggage before you start back is a must,
As hate and prejudice along with others too numerous to mention,
Are always looking to hitch a ride,
Blame is looking for an easy transfer.
Virtual memories are waiting to be picked up by the unwary.
You should not stop at some places after dark.
If you want to avoid bitterness setting in.
To increase your chances of a successful journey
Down this lane and back.

As with most journeys,
Preparation and having realistic expectations are key,
Along with the right music to set the tone.
And don't forget your sense of fun and a willingness to explore
All that is available.

Dream World

All of us have many dreams
too numerous to mention,
could we be living another life
in some unknown dimension.

Suppose that we transcend this life
to a place we have always been,
and upon our return the human brain
must interpret what we have seen.

It maybe my imagination
but after a good nights rest,
shouldn't we be bright and alert
and at least at our very best.

Most people awake in the morning
looking as though they're half dead,
they moan and groan about aches and pains
but they haven't been out of their bed.

If a dream world is there it's forever
a place where time doesn't exist,
where the past and the future combine
in a place we can all co-exist.

Dreams seem as real as anything
we meet people we don't even know,
sometimes we see things happen
in the future or from long ago.

The energy we use while sleeping
is equal to when we're awake,
what makes it more amazing is
we consider this a break.

Science says there is no proof
that sleep keeps the body alive,
the necessity is dreaming
without which we cannot survive.

Treeo

Before I came to Treeo,
getting old was not much fun!
For all intents and purposes,
I felt my life was done!

One gets to feeling lonely,
once your spouse has passed away.
Home doesn't feel like home no more,
it's just a place to stay!

You feel there needs to be a change,
you must start your life anew.
However, things like roots and memories,
make it very hard to do.

With advice from friends and family,
I started in my quest,
to check out Senior Living,
which is what we thought was best.

When we discovered Treeo,
our search became complete.
All they have to offer here,
would be impossible to beat!

Treeo's our safe haven,
we know that we're secure.
Despite our various maladies,
they help us to endure!

The people working here at Treeo,
 Are special folks indeed!
Our welfare, is their main concern,
they see we get, the things, we need.

It's a family type environment,
which, actually, it transcends!
Our neighbors aren't just neighbors here,
our neighbors are our friends!

The activities and incentives,
are too numerous to mention!
To keep our minds and bodies active,
is Treeo's main intention!

"Home is where you hang your hat".
To that I will attest!
I hang my hat, at Treeo,
so I feel that I've been blessed!

God bless Treeo!

A Revelatory Message of Salvation

The Good News is for people
who have a sickness and need to be healed,
and healing starts with a reborn spirit,
but spiritual blindness won't make one look upward,
to ask for forgiveness and becoming whole;
the Good News can give you a new heart
with their revelatory message full of promise...
coming upon you form the Divine Source!

Who has the audacity to blame God
for not intervening in the world's affairs,
whose troubles are too numerous to mention?
Starvation causes incurable diseases,
bizarre and unrestrained sexual behavior kills;
state after state approves of the same sex marriage:
Sodom and Gomorrah lives on
with their merry-making mocking!

And the same individuals who frequent
holy places, in which they worship their god with vain praises,
condone the filth and ugliness already tolerated by society,
making easier for them to express their sexuality
in offensive ways and disobey God's commandment;
two men taking the role of a lovable daddy,
and two women that of a devoted mommy?
Aren't they sending the wrong message to those tiny beings?

If men lay with men and women with women;
conception is denied the joy of blissful birth,
and the screams of babes, coming out of the belly,
won't be heard anymore...what an awful pity
for children not to have mom's and dad's affection:
to live a normal childhood on this beautiful earth!
O lost and uncaring people, receive and hear with elation,
the Good News with their revelatory message of salvation!

Premium Member A Silent Prayer

To you, He is many things, too numerous to mention
But for now, He's a confidant beyond and above all others
He's the God whom you have learned to acknowledge and love
Not a human with whom at times you may have issues of trust
Not a human with whom there may be difficulties of understanding
Not a human, even the best of friends, who may render 'judgments'
He's your Lord and Savior, through whose name you approach The Father
He's your Heavenly Father with whom you have the best of a loving
relationship. A priceless love, unconditional and endless, never betraying, forsaking, or divorcing. He's your recipient of every thought conceived, every
prayer uttered or unuttered. He hears and entertains my meditations, hopes, and dreams, never turning a deaf ear. No human of any stripe nor type has
earned the right. But into His sacred heart is poured my most intimate issues from the deepest portions of my tainted heart where no other has dared to
trod. It's in my heart, as must also be in yours, precious and personal items preserved for the ears of The Most Holy, ever to remain unspoken and unwritten; to my God, a silent prayer.

God's Planet

God’s Planet

In the beginning God created the Earth
He filled it with plants and animals of every kind
Filling the oceans and building the mountains
He made a place for His favorite creation
Creatures that looked like him who lived in peace
Giving Him love, respect and obedience
Humans grew, changed and multiplied beyond His expectations
Single beings became unified clans
Clans became wandering tribes
The tribes became villages and the villages became cities
Cities grew and again the humans changed
They saw the world in a different way
The world was simply a resource to be overused and abused
Ancient forests were murdered for the wood for fancy furniture
The ground was raped for the gold and silver for vanity’s jewelry
The beautiful metals were replaced by rotting garbage
Humans had learned to use what he needed long before
Now, he has learned how to be wasteful
Animals and birds, human’s cousins, were killed for sport
Others were abused by humans who swore to care for them
The crystal clear air man and animals needed to survive
It too was a place for poisons more numerous to mention
Even the God’s gift of water was not safe from humans
The remains of plants and animals long extinct were used to power the human world
Thick coats of black oil and sludge destroyed the breath-taking wilderness
Birds and fish died so humans could drive to buy food instead of growing what they needed
More destruction at the hands of the human species
In the end, everything that God had given man was used, abused and destroyed
Humans had made their mark all across the planet
In the long term God will see what humans had done
He will see that His gift was something humans could not handle
In a flash animals and plants, shining oceans and the air will return
They will thrive on a new pure planet
In that flash, that millionth of a second God will know what to do
Humans, those who were chosen to be the closest to God
God will not even think of them after what they had done
And God’s virgin planet, His chosen world, will remain a paradise
All without man

Seasonal Aura

many the marvels
in the earth’s burgeoning garden
spring is release
the Lord’s yearly pardon

fallen, the brown, dead and decaying
covering mats nature’s mother laying
rivers refreshed with spring’s overflow
funnel life to all that grow

the flowers in colors reds, whites and blues
pastels speak a how do you do
in vibrant hues too numerous to mention
Monet bestowed at this glory convention

beasts, creatures, small creepy crawlers
flyers, swimmers and those that are brawlers
find refuge rebirth among the leafy green flora
flourish in the aura of Eos and Aurora

a slender jade snake of glistening green
basks in the sunshine silent not seen
bugs, a frog and a salamander too
seek shelter and haven under a privy of blue

squirrels searching probe dead fallen leaves
butterflies gracefully flit in the breeze
bluebirds, thrushes and a brown pudgy dove
scout housing in youthful branches above

how blessed to flee
a city’s capture
finding the woodlands
and natural rapture

I Love You!

Do not be afraid to say you love someone
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE has many faces
It just IS when it is!
Do no mask what is in your heart
With coolness amidst warmth
Do not deprive yourself of the chance
Feel the beat and the faces of love
The love of the creator to its creation
The love of a mother to a child
The love of a friend to a friend
The love inflamed by passions
Of romantic lovers share
Love too numerous to mention
The limitless facets conceived
Which to the imagination I leave
So say it when you mean it
Wear your affections upon your sleeve
Take each day as a breathing chance
To make the faces of love shine
Only take caution when that someone
Knows no concept of such diversity
The same power love holds to bridge
Might be the same power that
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE breaks!

Charis

Charis, a brightly coloured tomato,Out under the sun, playing hide and Seek. With no care in the world.Responsible! I don't want it mom,Or so she thought.
Charis, a hardworking student,With a zeal to be the best,And very much different from her peers.Legend has it she passed all her test.
Charis, a darling friend to those she adores,Treasured in their hearts. With so much love around her She was destined to fly.
Charis, a great sociologist,With so much potential and Fantastic credentials fear she is a magician.
Charis, my sweet caregiver, She listens and knows just What to say, when to say it And exactly how to say it.
Charis, my beautiful exotic neon flower,With the voice of a thousand nightingale And beauty to match that voice,Chey!!! Kill us oooo, na u biko!.
Charis, a girl after God's own heart,Listening to you song Is like looking into the eyes of God,We feel our maker when you sing.
Charis, in the end you are many things,To numerous to mention.Good and bad, you are still you.You definitely have made my sky blue.

Premium Member Scrap Book

O'er the years we've done and seen so much stuff,
And since I'm the family's self-appointed history buff,
I've collected things in many a tattered old scrap book,
Hoping future generations might enjoy taking a nostalgic look!

There are programs and photos signed by many an eminent bloke,
Recalling pleasant events and memories that such things evoke.
Even a yellowing copy of my old school grades report;
My less than stellar accomplishments will surely induce some sport!

Birthday, anniversary and valentine cards by the dozens,
From my spouse, children and legions of long-forgotten cousins.
Also, there are certificates and other awards the kids have won,
Honored for their fortitude and the hard work they had done!

Pages and pages almost too numerous to mention,
Contain memorabilia from many a boring convention.
Included are newspaper accounts of many a family episode,
Births, deaths, weddings and for a myriad of accolades bestowed!

There are reminders of trips thro' many foreign lands,
But the most precious are the things made by my kids' tiny hands;
Simple valentine and birthday cards for Mom and Dad,
Proudly presented with glowing faces and all the love they had!

God's Poem

All the days and nights that you have protected us and blessed us,
Thankfulness begins and continues.

To encompass a passage complex and diversified,
Blessed with relatives and companions through the years,

The beauty of sunrise and sunset,
Nature always beautiful and mysterious.

Blessing us as an environmental companion of excellence,
The Thanksgiving table is set with delicious foods.

Relatives gathered together in prayer,
God clothes us with his compassion and understanding.

A blessed Lord we meet at church in a formalized service,
Many blessings too numerous to mention.

Perhaps that is why God created Thanksgiving,
A simple reverence to God and thankfulness.

Riding Home

I'm so grateful
for all the lives I've led,
all the parts played
in this human panoply
of characters.

I'm so grateful
I didn't get stuck
in the rehearsal with a boxed life
or a part meant for mimes.

Thank You Universe,
for giving me the spice
and all the sordid places
that brought me into the light
on bent knee with charms
too numerous to mention.

I'm so grateful
for the ride home.
