Change

Down into the valley of socialization
Societal vices thrives without limitation
In my city, moral has worn the clothes of
civilization
It's value have nosedived into the pit of
humiliation
There both male and female feast just like
the beast
Meanwhile you cant resist the cyst
Cause it has covered both You and I

Today, shame has no hidden place in our
heart
Our conscience is driven away like a sport
car
The fume from the exhaust we applaud
But you know carbon mono-oxide is lethal
Yet we claim its civilization
Wont this kill You and I

Nakedness is an act of being naked
A product of shamelessness
The society is helpless because our mothers
are less concerned
'Flaunt it. You've got what it takes'
Thus: she praised as she catwalk down the
stricken street
At adolescent she conceived and bore a child
of no father
Will this not affect You and I

Truth...why are you pleading for it
It has been long buried beneath the six feet
As you can see, corruption triumph more in
our societies
From kids to parents, leaders to followers,
home to abroad
It has diffused through the earth just like fart
But no one cares; all we care about is NOW
Change the only factor that has remained
constant
Will you not change before the story is told to
You and I

Killings, suicide bombings, cheat, treason,
occult, lynching,
Kidnapping, indulgence, Nuisance, violence,
hypocrisy et al
Are all bored of corruption
End time is not close; Jesus Christ is not
coming today
But one day, you will wake up and find
yourself in hell or heaven
If we don't choose to make the world a better
place today
Wont this affect You and I?

Premium Member The Nudies Revenge

At the edge of the town, hidden amongst the trees
Is a nudist camp where folks walk around as they please
They all go about their business strutting their stuff
And as you've probably guessed, they're all in the buff.

There's all shapes and sizes, some skinny, some fat
Others go all out while some cheat and wear a hat
There's vicars, teachers, scientists and truck drivers too
And more from all walks of life, doing what they like to do.

Some boys in town were bored, and wanted some fun
And came up with a heinous plan to make the nudies run
They all covered up and they put a wasps nest in a bag carefully
And planned to throw it over the fence and film it for all to see.

But someone in town had heard of their dastardly plot
And phoned the nudist camp and said "some info I've got"
The nudies were alerted and waited for the town boys attack
And they put robust plans in place for a counter attack.

A lookout then spotted the town boys heading their way
The nudies were going to make those delinquents pay
One of the boys threw the nest over without making a sound
But a covered up nudie quickly caught it, before it hit the ground.

He threw it back over the fence, the town boys were in shock
All the angry wasps had now escaped and were flying amok
Then the nudies rushed forward with water pistols full of honey
And squirted it over the boys until it was sticky and runny.

The wasps picked up the sweet scent and nosedived on the boys
The nudies were laughing so much it drowned out the boys cries
A nudie filmed it all and told the boys to go online and take a look
And said this footage you'll find on our group site on Facebook.

All the boys started running fast and were trying to get away
The air was blue as they tried to keep the stinging wasps at bay
They reached the lake that was just on the outskirts of town
And all jumped in and knew that they'd never live this down.

Dancing With Description

Disappointment

My father's signature has been forged for I know his hand
Greed for squandering have made you fall to your lowest ebb
My temples blasted at the shame that we are of the same blood
I choked to know that your son dared to forge dad's will
The embarrassment gushed in my blood about trespassed relationships!
I was thorned in every nerve at your restless unrequited greed
How could my brother do so? Overpowered by his greedy half?
My spirits depleted as I weakened in the arms of my dependent mother
I had nightmares of her being murdered as my heart had been
Why hero-worship grandpa if his virtues of gender equality aren't followed?
It suddenly awakened me to life we didn't belong to the same family mould
Strangely you and your family that I immensely loved, became strangers
I signed the will with a heavy heave not because I was befooled,
But my nosedived soul knew that my father would have wanted it so.
You have been my greatest disappointment, oh my un-dear brother!

The Illusions of Love

Love is blind
And I have no sight
Like an aimless shooter
I nosedived into perdition

They warned me sheepishly
But I succumbed to the sight
Which I in-depth-ly lacked
I was warned of your lot
But like a lost dog I heed not

In my non sight
A goddess with revered beauty
Sprung past me with values
Of outward qualities alone

Her beauty is like the calm
In the stormy voyage of titanic
The beauty of the rose
That lay by the cedars of Lebanon
Cannot sweep off her charm
Spell bound I divulged my deepest thoughts
She stared at me in awe in jaw dropping form
I purred after her like an unrepentant sinner
Until she gave in to my demands
We tied the nuptial knot
She has been granting pleasures like a genie

365days succeeded the union
I decided to take her out
To reaffirm our loves growth
That is like an old wine

I kept gulping battalions of drink
She kept eating like an hungry lion
Set out to devour me
I asked her to drink
She kept mute with a wry smile

I took little food
Because my stomach was filled
With rivers of drink
Until he told me she has confession
I wandered what it could be

Until he said I can never get pregnant
A shake of immeasurable measure
He said she is a transgender
I am indeed a blind lover

Hers was a complete change of personality, moods, and friends
Her joyful happy self, turned rapidly sarcastic, mean, and secretive
Her eating habits changed; she did not need food any more.
Stopped eating with the family, painted her room black.

Threw her flute into the garbage. She had outgrown it.
Scoffed that she had ever been a cheerleader, calling them names.
Her friends stopped coming. She made new ones, they were in and out.
None stayed long. Just a few minutes.

Her family saw glimpses of her unhappiness as she ran in and out
Of her room, slamming doors, playing music, not doing her homework.
Her A’s and B’s nosedived into D’s and F’s, and she laughed about it.
Rapid distrust toward her siblings. Name-calling, which had never happened.

Stopped going to school until it was nigh onto impossible to keep up.
Sneaked out of the house at night; they never knew where she would be.
Left in cars with people she did not know. Parents blamed her friends.
It was their fault, not hers. She was their princess. She was perfect.

Secrecy became the norm. Her laughter became loud and ugly.
Her prettiness was gone; her hair was dingy. She stopped wearing deodorant.
Grandparents wondered where she was at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
They were given many lies from parents and her siblings. Everyone covering.

Not my child! They said when the possible truths were pointed out.
That does not happen in our neighborhood.
We are not that kind of parent.
Our child would never be an alcoholic or a drug addict.
The entire family circled the wagons,
refusing to join neighborhood barbeques.
The children were taught that the people at church
were do-gooders, and look-downers.

The children were taught that the neighbors
they once adored were now the enemy.
They were protecting the princess,
who seldom came home, sneaking in and out,
When they were asleep. Not in our family! They said. Not in our family!

The do-gooders and down-lookers were prominent at her funeral.
They had raised children also who had been lured into
the terrifying swallow-up world of drugs and alcohol.
They had so many stories; horrifying real life stories
they had never shared even though they had innumerable
opportunities at church functions and bar-b-ques.

Premium Member In Sleep's Chamber

Far away, over the monstrous gray summits
As dusking shadows crept stealthily on,
When night had turned more stygian
And glow worms had begun throwing flickers of light
Like sequins stitched onto a flowing velvet gown,
When night sky had turned
Into a rare configuration of light and shade
When in the west a burning solitary star
Like a one man army had valiantly blocked
The advance of infiltrating clouds,
When cicadas were chanting in shrill monotone,
When the breeze whispered sweet nothings in my ear
And autumn leaves in strong gale
Flew about and nosedived into their ebony bed,
When my conscious thoughts evaporated
And I was left to linger in a semi stupor,

I knew a familiar spirit visiting me unsought
With the passion of a lover eager to subdue;

Morpheus with the scent of poppy leaves all about him
Came to lure my soul to bliss and chill the heat of weary toil.

By the indulgent grip of his masculine hands
He took me on his wings to uncharted oceans and fairy isles
A nocturnal odyssey of conjoined souls, lip locked
And finally to his secret chamber for a date
Making me swoon in secreted ecstasy!

Tristan's Torment - The Villanelle Of The Butterfly

Tristan couldn't stop thinking about the butterfly
It was just so thin and daring
Never had he known anything so dry

It's morning, Tristan encountered a butterfly so wry
He found himself feeling rather overbearing
Tristan couldn't stop thinking about the butterfly

Later, Tristan was spooked by an eye
He tried to focus on a meringue
Never had he known anything so dry

Charlotte tried to distract him with a fly
Said his mind had become too wearing
Tristan couldn't stop thinking about the butterfly

Tristan decided to do something high
The butterfly was like a toxic childbearing spider
Never had he known anything so spry

Tristan nosedived like an intense oh, my
His mind became dangerously raring,
Tristan couldn't stop thinking about the butterfly
Never had he known anything so dry

April couldn't stop thinking about the April Fool

April took action like a mule

He watched his kite,her, snap

her tail rises
in the sky
in the deep blue sky
i keep imagining of her
my eyes don't rest and lie,
my mind's eye,
of her with a bird in hand,
the one she waved off …
that i dont imagine
i keep watching her tail
so majestic
and buoyant
... as if she were dancing,
dancing
with herself,
 in the deep blue sky,
her carriage
model perfect
of blemishes
with the sun shining
off her inner beauty,
she would flutter
... flutter
to the right and left,
bounce, bounce
up and down
as i continue watching,
watching ...heartbroken
for the last time,
Of life passing by,
Her,
my eyes moisten
as she distances herself
away from me
the burdens of my life
Heartaches, heartaches that
always kept suppressed in me
i say, i wish i could have stopped her flight
and see her come alive
with me,
... me with
one fleeting chance
a chance
of a snowball of goodness for once
but hoping realistically
for just that one snowflake of a chance
one little snowflake that never dropped
... i keep watching
the once beautiful kite
so lifelike, vibrant
especially her tail and direction
up in the blue sky,
a small dot now
... sucking the air out of me
as it became smaller
• i reminiscence
of the past of how our love nosedived
into an avalanche
before it started
... nosediving into sorrow and regrets
the residual of a piece of string not tying
not tying a loop...
i keep looking up into the sky
my mind oscillating, correlating
i see, clearly
her inner beauty capturing me
even from a distance
and now how ... i'm resigned to watching
so sadden
life unravel,
how can this be
or is that the line ... unraveling
again, how can this be
... the kite kept
distancing itself
fluttering itself ...
further away ...
just like myself
... the wind howling
its sharp teeth of injustice, life
grabbing me
i guess
i guess i was bad, unworthy
For her
for i hear ...
voices in my head
the once little birds in her hand crying,
crying
for not finding warmth
i hear a snap
is that for real?
i look,
in the deep blue sky
turning over, turning shades of red
she's gone
and the voice of cruelty just laughing
just laughing at me
for there is an absence, now
of that little tail fluttering
with goodness,
with unattainable borders
that i missed and missed

- The Villanelle Of David Torment of Mavis’ Chill Autumn Night Plight-

Mavis couldn't stop thinking about the chill
burr, twas just so autumn of a night
But she could never forget the frill

Cold morning, Mavis was shocked by the freeze
She found herself feeling rather light
Mavis couldn't stop thinking about the crisp leaves

Later, Mavis was spooked by a birds bill
She thought the situation had become rather recondite
But she could never be so still

David tried to distract her with his will
Said her mind had become too white
Mavis couldn't stop thinking about the chill

Mavis took action as the bird fulfill
The chill was like a toxic fight
See the bird wind forgot the downhill

Mavis nosedived like a night spill
her mind turned into a plight
Mavis cold and shaken couldn't stop thinking about the chill
But she could never forget the chill

Of a soon to been in days colder cold, cold winter’s months night

Jesus couldn't stop thinking about the bible
It was just so dear and energetic
Never had he known anything so royal

That morning, Jesus was shocked by the thimbles
He found himself feeling rather synthetic
Jesus couldn't stop thinking about the bible

Later, he realized that the bible was antibacterial
He thought the situation had become rather theistic
Never had he known anything so royal

Paul tried to distract him with a libel
Said his mind had become too peripatetic
Jesus couldn't stop thinking about the bible

Jesus took action like a scheible
The bible was becoming too genetic
Never had he known anything so royal

Jesus nosedived like a imperfect human
His mind became dangerously arithmetic
Jesus couldn't stop thinking about the bible
Never had he known anything so non royal

It all began in the summer of '70.
Prior to then, I'd never heard of you.

By the summer of '71, we were saying, "I love you".
This was the summer I asked, "Would you?, and you said, "Yes".

By the summer of '72, we were at the altar saying, "I do".
By summer of '82, we'd settled out west, 2000 away.

By summer '92, we'd finished having three kids.
In the summer of '94, we had our first grandchild.

By summer 2002, We were still saying, "I love you", and "I do".
Some years, we wanted to say, "We don't", but we didn't.

By summer 2012, the economy nosedived, but we survived.
So here we are in the summer of 2022, with 50 years of "I dos".

Premium Member Open Date On the Calendar

The director
of the arts center
told me
he was trying real hard
to sign Bukowski
for a reading

but Buk
had the audacity
to die
leaving an open date
on the calendar

and shoes
entirely
too big to fill
were left in the ledger

so it remained
an open date
and a few diehards
drunkenly nosedived
into Black Sparrow titles

spilling cheap wine
and rot gut whiskey
into broken vessels
of humanity

indeed
too sad a spectacle
for me to watch
and yet eyes
remained riveted

and some cheap beer
and rot gut blackberry brandy
found its way
down my own throat
much to my chagrin

and overwhelming reluctance
to ever admit
to such folly

Raine couldn't stop thinking about the mist
It was just so wet and cruel
But she could never forget the gist (wasssh)

O’ver lands and cradle lines
Valleys low at shore

That morning, Raine was shocked by the twist
She had to calm herself with a ridicule
Raine couldn't stop thinking about the mist (swisssh)

Later, Raine was spooked by the bliss
She tried to focus on a drool
But she could never forget the gist (wasssh)

thunder lightening
Rain pour down on me
Heated tried to distract her with a fist
Said it was time to start thinking about the pools
Raine couldn't stop thinking about the mist

Raine took action like a grist
The mist was like a toxic school
But she could never forget the gist
thunder lightening
Rain pour down on me
Raine nosedived like a white midst
Her mind turned into a vestibule
Raine couldn't stop thinking about the mist
But she could never forget the gist
