Best Northwestern Poems
She wonders where to go, clueless in her ceramic cage,
with octaves oceanic (there's an oaf in my ocarina)
But Oh! Her delight when her Breather goes soprano
a whippoorwill trying her wings in the sauna sky
laps of leisure in steamy cirrus clouds
(there's a glider on the Puget Sound)
And she knows the stories that abound
in the sensation of a sonnet
(though you may shake a speare at the classic verse)
She's licked the pearl pages of such pretty pamphlets.
You could say she's been around ...
Fighting flights of fancy through Fraser fir,
as busy as a bee, like she's got somewhere to be
(an important meeting with the sea?
a journey through Farrah Fawcett follicles?)
And things aren't always what they seem,
keeping close ties with Elohim,
lubricating our lungs with lovely life (and the pockets of air between the knife)
More hypocritical than Hebraic Hitler.
With tornadoes in tow
and summer waves that flow
(she has secrets to disclose
for elements in the know)
NOTE: Puget Sound is a sound along the northwestern coast of Washington. Elohim is a Hebraic term for God.

Note this poem was written some time ago but I was sick and deleted my site. I have been patiently reposting my poems since 9 October 2000.
On November 13, 2002. The Prestige, one of twelve tanks burst during a storm off Galicia, in northwestern Spain. No help was forthcoming and by November 19, the ship split in half. 20 million gallons were spilled into the sea.
Beneath the heavy dark clouds,
the storm broke.
An oil-filled tanker sank
spewing black lakes of murderous slime.
What a giant "Prestige"!
Despite the roar of untamed waves
there was a deadly hush over the ocean.
A low death knell sang a purgatory of pain,
as contaminated birds of gulls, orioles, kestrels
squawked their last dirge:
What a giant "Prestige"!
Too late men stretched their ingenuity,
a desire to save and spare
the livelihood of so many families
that sailed the oil-spilled seas,
where baby dead fish dotted the surface,
sands and rocks tainted with death.
Elsewhere engineers burned their chemical gases
and smoke escaped from the earth's fragile shell.
We all have our "Prestige"!

Honking geese and loud barking dogs
An impolite disturbance just before dawn
There should be no morning traffic, or so I thought
Until a flock of Ansers declared, this is our spot
Escaped from their wetland, to my courtyard lush green
Tropical vapors set the scene, the overcast sky composed
The script, collaborting with the Northwestern spring
Golden retrievers barked again, the geese blared loud
Spreading tuxedo-ed wings an array of feathers cream and brown
Positioned in stances exposing thier pure white down
Honking vocals chorused by a few, who brazenly announced
We’re just passing through, their unscheduled performance
On a cool misty morning, turned the mundane into quite interesting
Dude, guess what?
Yesterday, I got to go through my dad’s dealership
and pick out a sweet ride for my 16th birthday!
It’s a convertible, dude
It’s a hot rod, dude
It’s red, dude
It’s a hot, hot rod
And it’s got chrome-covered wheels!
Wait until the guys get a load of this!
Dude, this weekend, wanna go get drunk?
Ah! Dude! I totally saw my wellness teacher
at the Rush yesterday! She was
benching more than half the football team!
I could totally take her though!
I’m not going to let a woman tell me what to do!
Dude, I better retake the ACT this Saturday
I totally need a 16 to play on the football team
at Northwestern Kentucky State Community College!
Remind me not to drink too much after the game!
And we’re totally gonna smoke Blount County! Huh! Huh! Huh!
Dude, this guy totally looked at me funny
in the bathroom between classes! Man, we gave him the
hugest swirly! You shoulda been there!
Dude, I got practice after school today
but afterwards, you wanna go roll that ***** in Bio class?
Whaddya say?

I, Mustang, am the stuff of legends
Roaming the Northwestern badlands
Of the United States in small herds.
I'm poetry in motion when I gallop,
Propelled forward by hinterland winds!
The quintessence of beauty, grace, and freedom!
I'm a social, wild horse breed; part of a herd
Consisting of a stallion, colts, a harem of mares
And their foals. I mature sexually at the age of three,
And I mate from April to July.
As a male, I'm known as a "stallion,"
The fierce herd defender. I group into a circle
Around the herd with other males to
Fight off predators; chief among them
Are wolves and coyotes.
As a female, I'm known as a "mare,"
I lead the herd away from danger.
I usually give birth to one foal,
But sometimes I deliver twins.
My gestation is roughly eleven months.
A herbivore, I eat only grass and foliage
I can grow up to 56 inches in height or more.
I communicate by whinnying and whickering
To the herd. I loudly snort to alert
Other mustangs of danger.
Need I remind you of my perseverance?
To withstand very harsh environments,
I can go for more than one week
Without water or food if necessary.
My lifespan in the wild is about twenty years.

ginger mustard and spices
A mild aromatic genetic fruit scone was passing through the timed abysses pausing carefully at many tunnels and admiring the many printed displays shown through shoe strings then illuminated on the caverns scapes. It is never pay day that makes a petal happy. Thorny twisting takers trapping taunting tears tenaciously. And the ten foot viper wears a crown then wanders off into the forest with a very big staff, a silver lined cloak and a gem of minds. When alighted a fragmented train do mind the gaps for gaps are giraffes and giraffes are neither gaffs nor girths. Fragmented mind in a twist and shout at a disco van never really reach a ball rotating many lights. But a light containing the orbicular essence of a cyber shield can be a complete new person each day. Many a hill equal many a ray. But no tray. No ashtray either. Slam damm dunk. In an oversized trunk causing chaos at a highway. Whereupon a large pruning Pythagorean pyramid dances from the sky shouting "hello" but no one answered because they were very busy dashing off to sit in front of an organised box of nonsense serving dishes to their imagination thus rendering subconscious a reduced field. A sought after path is one that travels and traverses a high sky at noon or a dusk bowl at the sunset pinnacle. And just to add that a single sequin can actually jump across a gap measuring three hundred and fifty three thousand nautical miles. And so the dish cloth laughed reading his book. Bored of not cleaning. Hahaha the palomino is coming to town with the legs of a tyrannosaurus rex. Hahaha a beetle wobbles onto a jellybean and spins. Is that sponsored? Hahaha an ornate garlic sauce moving in a dress. A tissue paper working in a field. Xxxxx carbohydrate clapping xxxxx scientologists zzzzz. At 10000% of a sudden supernatural supermarket sway. X
I flew one time
Over the going ons of this life
I saw fate's plan
From my conception to my third ex wife
From the dumpster babies to a NorthWestern paradise
From train traffic delays to buses blowing up in Saudi uh-rayb
From sending your picture to med schools to 25 cent giving a family food
From giving profiles an update to gettin profiled and court dates
From same love and reverse racism
To double X chromosome unnecessary circumcision
From society's mutiny to wives being sold and muted on their knees
From all the pastors receiving enough to breakeven
and the poor that are rich in faith no matter circumstance nor season
From rainbows leading you to gold to rainbows meaning the devil has bought your soul
From waterfalls to your teardrops
From catchin crooks to crooked cops
Opening fire on perps to opening fire on purp
From losing your last dollar to finding your worth
Over satiating our hunger to babies dying of thirst
From oil and water
To closed minds and open legs
Old autopsies at a young age
All that lynching but we can't hang
Inherited all your bad genes
All these heirs but I can't breathe
Bending the air so it won't fit in your lungs
Authoritative action leaves you speechless because they'd prefer for
me and you
you and I
to breathe less
But I ain't trying to handshake no angels yet

Blueberry Festival in Sioux Lookout
Travelling north (on an adventurous drive)
Off the Trans-Canada on King’s Highway 72,
In Northwestern Ontario,
I crossed the bridge at the Frog Rapids Narrows
Of the English River system
And entered the town of Sioux Lookout
On Pelican Lake, “Hub of the North”
And gateway to Lac Seul.
Legend has it, as told by the elders,
That in days past, a mountain lookout
Was established by the Ojibwe for them
To scan the horizon
For oncoming Sioux warriors
Who had unfriendly intentions
And intercept them
Before they could storm the camp.
While I was in Sioux Lookout
During the “Blueberry Festival”
Held in August
To celebrate the Creator’s abundance,
I wandered about the town,
Enjoying the sights and sounds,
And noticed the sadness
In the faces of the Anishinaabe people.
I stopped to admire a native mother
Attired in a skirt with jeans underneath,
And who dressed her pretty little girl the same,
Both of them wearing embroidered jackets,
And I thought how out of place they looked
In today’s world of modern technology—
The younger, with a sparkle of curiosity,
And the older, less spriteful, melancholy.
Gone are the traditions!
Gone is the culture!
Gone is the respect due one to another,
And it’s heartbreaking to know
That the Europeans are responsible
For these deviant behaviours,
And I cannot keep from thinking
About the residential schools.
The town begins the celebration
With a community blueberry bake-off
Followed by the weeklong list
Of sports activities and music festival.
The mornings begin with blueberry pancakes
Topped off with maple syrup and side entrees
Of bacon or sausages, followed by picnics of hot dogs,
Hamburgers, steaks, and blueberry desserts.
The air in the North is refreshing,
Void of that smell of congestion,
And the space is wide open;
Unlike the city, where people are confrontational
From the anxiety associated with daily living,
The traffic, and the pressure!
It was nice to escape city life and enjoy
Sioux Lookout’s Blueberry Festival.
Just as I seem to have a great deal
to eco-healing say
in favor of positive energy democracy,
I long to hear much more
ego-healing positive win/win communication
highly regarding multicultural demographics,
cooperative economic-nutritional education,
eco-matriarchal spiritual naturality.
The opposite of all these blessings
is StraightMale
LeftBrain NorthWestern Geosphere
predative monocultural dominance,
both ego-testicle
and anthrowhite-supremacist.
Which feels like a whole lot
of negative
manic
autocratic energy
and absence of compassionate
eco-matriarchal communication.
My EarthMother,
and her MotherEarth,
deep learned me
way harmonic healthier than negative supremacy
when positive energy
remains a win/win opportunity.
It feels unfair,
the doctor said,
to blame all pathological -isms
on LeftBrain dominating
NorthWestern enculturation;
Too geopolitically ecological,
too globally sweeping,
where my reason looks
for biological neurology,
more inside linguistic powers
more intimate.
But, both neurology and ecology,
both natural biology and spiritual theology,
these four each and all agree,
whether secular or sacred paradigm
for discernment,
Monocultural ecosystems
divest of originally healthier
polyculturally robust wealth,
resilience,
multicultural resonance,
harmonic compassion.
So it is with LeftBrain dominant egos,
monotheistic dominated ego,
securely enslaved servants
divest of originally healthier
multicultural
robustly cooperative,
and compassionately felt,
true polypathic wealth of empowerment,
multicultural enlightenment
Trusting
liberal cultural-istic phobias
conjoin with
conservative historical-isms
to regenerate more democratically robust
global ruminations,
discernments,
political power and light dialogue,
cooperative investment.
Yes,
well,... the doctor responded,
racism
and colonialism,
and capitalism,
and sexism,
and anthropocentrism,
and ageism,
and bullyism,
and narcissism,
and even omnipotent monopolistic
closed ego-systemic monocultural monotheism
of LeftHemispheric enculturing verbal dominance
feel too aggressively unfair as well.
On Lake Ontario's northwestern shore
sits a city of awe, beauty, and lore.
Toronto is where sports built the SkyDome,
and the Maple Leafs and Raptors call home.
Its renowned entertainment district lures
trendy tourists with its late-night bar tours.
And world-class restaurants offer cuisines
befitting the palates of kings and queens.
We built the CN tower to pierce the sky
one thousand eight hundred fifteen feet high.
And every spring, folks race up to the top
for nature, and that's not going to stop.
Torontonians say please and thank you
and allow cut-ins when standing in cue.
And our city hall hosts a skating rink,
it sounds extraordinary, don't you think?

Feeling the need to put my words/thoughts in a letter
Not sure if hearing from me makes you dither...
Or rather makes you want to quiver
Sending shock waves to your liver
Saying you want to get to know me better
Wanting/liking/needing a girlfriend to prosper...
Checking your compatibility setter
Don't know if I fit into your sector
Feeling like your pushing me from your center
All the while I wait on your endeavors...
Just for a few minutes to spend time together
Because even five minutes w/ you is a treasure
I'm leery/scared like you of relationship pressures
But we're not on this earth forever...
So yes at times I may be the aggressor
That doesn't make me any lesser
My past was quiet the tester
The last five years I put forth no effort…
Because he was quiet the possessor
By then my feelings already severed
On the road to my new life Northwestern
Even before meeting you I felt less tethered...
Feelings of joy & happiness unmeasured
Body & soul lighter than a feather
Everyone says I'm patient & don't pester
Loving/living my life without aggression…
Smiling & laughing however
Even my mom says I was the best baby ever
So I'll wait to hear from/of your splendor
But please don't be a suppressor...
Talking with you in person however
Making me bubbly like a seltzer
Still hoping to get to know you better
Have a good night’s sleep...
Let your dreams take you wherever
Waking in the morn, feeling fresher
The main currents of thought
are feelings
about relationships,
positive
and negative climates,
sometimes obscured
confused
by double-binding negatives
incuriously set aside
as merely bad news
and systemic evils
Like racism
applied to oneself
as victim of prejudice
is not reverse racism,
nor multicultural intelligence,
for egos steeped
shaped
secured by StraightWhiteMale
supremely valued labeling,
Like sexism
applied to oneself as victim
is not reverse sexism,
nor vulnerability,
for patriarchally wounded souls,
Like fascism
applied to victimized losers
and lepers
and thugs
is not reverse violent fascism,
nor furthering healthy democracy
for those poor in spirit,
thirsty in nature
feminist and unmilitarized,
***** and under-capitalized.
The main stereotypes of thought
are feelings:
About positive healthy relationship,
wealthy attachments,
compassion
empowering left and enlightening right,
liberal resonance
conserving inclusive resilience;
And about negative lack thereof.
The main currents of thought
are feelings
about relationships,
positive Win/Win
and negative Lose/Lose
nodualistically attached
to climate healing,
secular left NorthWestern mountains,
branches
and sacred right SouthEastern rivers,
roots
Nurturing branches
flashing-blushing root systems
primally currenting thoughts
with empty power-full feelings.
