An idea, a spark
The apple falls from the tree

Olivia Newton John
A stunning sex bomb
Starred in the film Grease
Talk of ‘ those pants’ never cease!
I wonder how she managed to dance
In skin-tight shiny black satin pants
At the sight of her tush
All the blokes turned to mush
And wanted to begin a romance!
For filming she’s sewn into her clothes
How she went to the toilet who knows!
Her pants sold at an auction in June
I bet the purchaser’s over the moon!

When I went golfing with Sir Isaac Newton
He hit tee shots that were not comput’in
Though he struck balls sound
They stayed on the ground
Never making it to where he was shootin’
When we went inside to, have a tea
He showed his disgust with, gravity
I said, “That round went to pot
Coz for each hole’s first shot
For some reason you didn’t, grab a tee!”
Sir Isaac Newton
was thought to be quite highfalutin
Liked caviar, imported tea
and all his foods were gluten-free!

Had a fig Newton
Dropped it on the floor
God said, Let Newton be!
And all was right.

Sir Isaac Newton, Scientist,
Would quite often turn his wrist,
To writings on theology,
To add to his anthology.
[A poem to celebrate the 350th anniversary of Newton's discovery of gravity]
Sir Isaac Newton is my name;
I have a certain reputation,
Philosopher of great acclaim
Amongst the proud men of this nation.
With many problems I would grapple,
Not least of which concerned an apple.
I’d often laze beneath the trees
On long and balmy summer days,
And there with friends I’d shoot the breeze,
Expound ideas in many ways.
But then in lone activity
I framed the laws of gravity.
Studying mechanics, optics,
The bible and astronomy;
Also mathematics, physics,
The natural world and alchemy,
My jealous peers, they criticised
And often I was ostracized.
But I was knighted by the Queen
And my inventions gave men hope.
Stars and planets could be seen
With my reflecting telescope –
No rainbow colours to detract.
I’ve made my mark and that’s a fact !

So, what is the truth?
My friend, have you thought deeply about life?
Have you thought long and hard about the endless ticking of time
Have you pondered and mused and ruminated with all your mind and soul?
I have lain on many an afternoon
Under the old cedar on Rideout Ranch
And I have reckoned the infinite mercies of the wind.
Have pondered the intrepid ascendance of the sun.
The simple pretense of the flower.
And I have considered the Earth’s colossal incessant turning.
Have wondered and contemplated long into the night
The whirling pulling maelstrom of the human dilemma:
To live is to ultimately die!
And so,
What is the truth, my friend?
Why are we here on this huge ball of dust and water and fire?
And where do we go after the body ceases to breathe?
My friend,
Close your eyes!
Close them tightly and never open them again!
And then you will see the truth!
Miss Olivia Newton-John
She transforms into a sex bomb
Sandy Olssen in Grease
Who wears pants that don't crease
That outfit sure gave her aplomb!
For filming she's sewn in her clothes
That's quite bothersome I suppose
How she managed to dance
In those skin-tight black pants
And visit the toilet, who knows!

Whilst working on his latest light invention
his cat disturbed him with intention,
cut a hole in the door to stop interruption
Penned 16/05/2014
quoted as inventing the Cat Flap whilst at college.
A MATTER OF GRAVITY
where art thou when I need thee most
ah yes, thou has become a ghost
a wishing well empty, a pond depleted
as I stand as stagnant, a man defeated
i have been overcome by demons inside
and when they request "why hast he died"
say unto them he was a man with thirst un-quenched
and tell them i died with my teeth well clenched
"clenched" question they, "but why" they wonder
"because," responds you "of the certain thunder"
"hear not thee the sound that killed him well?"
"Oh yes, now we hear why he was condemned unto Hell"
"so" sayeth thee, tell them without any doubt
there will be, due to his death, become a drought
a dryness no man nor god can create
"because," inform them, "my man was slain solely by hate"
" 'twas hatred which condemned him unto the fire,
and to all I swear, my man was no liar
he told the truth before the Temple of Love
until a thousand demonic angels appeared from above"
so let them hear the words of a man sworn unto death
and vow to them all that with each blessed breath
easiness, that evening, arrived my sweet
because 'twas with eagerness my death did I meet
thusly do I swear when you gaze around
and find not by body, to which Hell was bound
remember my face and this most memorable date
for that 'twas the eve your man died of SELF-hate

Take a chance on love
Cause it's from above
Take a chance on Him
If you believe in Him
If you feel to ... just let go
You're in the flow; you feel yourself pass go
You'll feel the glow
(REPEAT)
Take a chance on love
Cause it's from above
Take a chance on Him
If you believe in Him
If you feel to ... just let go
You're in the flow; you feel yourself pass go
You'll feel the glow
(REFRAIN)
Take a chance on Him
If you believe in Him
You lift up higher
Where it is brighter
Cause it's much better
(REPEAT)
You lift up higher
Where it is brighter
Cause it's much better
Crystal springs and skies of blue
Having everything brand new

Fantastic
There are lots of things to do
Having all my dreams come true

Renaissance Man
Physicists, Astronomer, Mathematician, Theologian
Fall of apple from tree made Newton curious.
He did not accept event as oblivious.
Neither it flew away
nor stood in midway
fell on ground: Gravitation Law discovered by genius.
‘Every action has always an equal and opposite reaction.’
True for Theory of Physics and Philosophical declaration.
‘Tact is the art of making a point without making an enemy.’
Above quotes from Newton concluding ‘My powers are ordinary’.
