Premium Member The Best Paths Move Forward

The best paths move forward.
Don't waste your time looking back.
The things you've said, the things you've done,
Can never be brought back.

Don't waste the little time we have,
On anger or regret.
Just accept what we can't change,
Make peace and pay back debts.

Each new day is a fresh, new start.
Just learn from past mistakes.
No one's perfect, no not one,
Decide this day will be great.

Look up, have hope, move forward.
Let no one hold you back.
Do what you know is best for you,
And cut yourself some slack.

Sometimes there's no one to pick you up,
When you have had a fall;
But God helps those who help themselves,
When their back is against the wall.

Someone thinks so highly of you,
And knows what you can do,
The best friend you will ever have,
That friend, My Dear, is You.

The Day I Saw the Earth Move

I watched a sunset
on the beach at the ocean
The sun touched the horizon
one quarter, one half
Bright, blazing red-orange clouds
Almost down; the sky now pink

Then it dawned on me
I was really observing
our mighty planet spinning
My mind blew gently
in the eternal present
the day I saw the earth move

Premium Member Move Me

Lyric to a simple song I recently wrote on the keyboard. Simple but catchy.
* I am grateful for a gift of renewal of my membership today. I tried to put song here,,but file is too big. I recorded it over shorter, but no luck yet. Will keep trying :)
* I cut the song short, to get it here.

Let me fly
Let me love
Let me be
Who I want to be

Cause high above
Holds everything
To bring to me
Oh, so free!

Chorus:
So, move me with wind
Move me with the sun
Move me, move me
With the moon

*Chorus Repeat
__________________________

Oh, Let me know
Let me learn
Let me grow
To understand

Cause high above
Holds everything
To bring to me
Oh so free!

Chorus:
So, move me with the wind
Move me with the sun
Move me, move me,
With the moon

*Chorus repeat, fade.

Move On
(Anacreontic Verse)

Oh you tiresome
earthen road,
this traveler
faithfully has walked
your rocky path
of mystery.
I've traveled far
and traveled wide;
tired, I pause beside
your peaceful stream.
Its quiet soothes
my soul to long for
sleep in endless dream.
The fire is made,
the chores are done
why must I ever
move along?
Just let me lay
upon your bank
to hear your carefree,
rippling song.
But I must move on...
on and on!
Make haste while there
is sun and light.
More roads to walk,
more hills to climb,
before the dark
and cold of night.

      ~~Move the Clouds~
      (A Reason for Rainbows)

When you left, you took my heart!
It was midnight.
You darted out of the house into
that midnight Spring moonlight,
with but two sentences.
I stood there weeping, with my tears
falling on my starlit engagement ring.

Like a fool, I believed what you said.
You bag of arrogant wind!
I seriously thought of suicide
each day for months.
I went into therapy, too
But God had much bigger plans
for me.

He placed a beautiful man in my life,
who never hurt me or caused strife.
I became the Mother of a
beautiful girl, an outstanding
grandson and a totally transformed life.

I don't let people's outrageous
evaluations of me cause me
pain.
Others judgements are what
they are, their judgements!
They are not me.

I learned to soar like the white
sea gulls above the Pacific.
So astonishingly high above
San Francisco Bay!
Whenever, I chose~night or day.

And be totally me, me, me.
Now and forever.
Free ,free, free!
Of others' arrogance and
grandiose superiority.

Premium Member Move Mountains for Her

The sunlight streams through the windowpane
Casting a rainbow around my newborn
In her bassinet as she sleeps.
Brightening my world with flickering magic.
Her silky blonde curls glisten with the spiritual light.
Her soft cuddlable skin, her sweet powder sent,
And a smile to melt anybody’s heart,
She’s a flower of radiance and perfection.

Oh, my heart warms as I hold her hand, so tiny
In mine, and in my world. I marvel and sigh,
How beautiful a gift I’ve been blessed.
My tipsy mind dances on beams of lights
And shadows of songs and merry, dancing
Upon specks of dust across the floor.
Ebullient memories will be made giving her
The courage and strength to move mountains.

Career Move

No wonder I'm snaggin'
Jumping your bar
I've hitched my broke waggin'
To the wrong star...

***In 2008, I decided to look for a place on the internet to share my poetry and PS was the first site I came across. I had just written this and had no IDEA I had just joined! It is about an experience I had that same day at work after a 'misunderstanding' with my boss. Karen O'Leary was the first to comment and welcome me and for that I will always be grateful...

Time To Move On -

if she permitted
i would have curled in a ball
in a dark closet somewhere
and wept my whole life
“too many tears are too much“
“grief is a bottomless pit”....

i read a MAAD book
that lectured me on coping
with a loved one lost
of an only son
‘lean into it’ they advised
i learned not to lean

i learned my lesson
the lesson was not to lean
on anyone but myself
and my late lost wife
i knelt face down on his rug
she came and knelt over me
when we heard the news
the news of our worst nightmare
our nightmare come true
six months of eternity
so it seemed----she knelt once more:
“it’s time to move on”...

(to this day i’ve not heeded
her advice twelve years after)

Drowning in the knowledge
That change is inevitable
Afraid that your decision might backfire

What can be more spine-chilling?
Is the fact
That not making the change will
Lead you to a point of frustration
Discontentment

In the end to stagnate is also a choice
It also has a consequence

Faith Can Move Mountains

You know faith is a substance
Yes, a spiritual law
They say it moves mountains
And, I’ve seen it before
You see without prayer
It’s not going to work
Words without actions
Are dead and desert

They say it moves mountains
But faith needs to grow
You must hear the word
Then the mustard seeds’ sown
It starts off little
And then branch’s out more
Becomes part of the vine
Like a true devout it soars

Love is the answer
To a lot of our prayers
But faith is the action
Upon mountains we stare
Words of the spirit
Righteous and true
Become like the Father
Yes, me and you

You know faith can move mountains
Let’s all pray together
No matter the mountain
No matter the weather
Big or small
This problem we face
We can do better
With the gift of God’s grace

The 50 Move Rule

"The 50 Move Rule"

Thomas Crown
rolled his smile
around her frown

Romance blew a warm breath
over her pristine cowrie shell
Voodoo Mojo Bag

There,
just there,
an Ocean made a Blue move

In the Red
Life
Black Black White

White White Black
Read,
A story to tell

White White Black
Black Black White
The 50 Move Rule

Thomas Crown
rolled his smile
around her frown

Love
has no strategy
Chemistry, richter scale rated

The mind being not vacant
Each piece moved in the puzzle
towards Walter Mitty

Calamity Jane
rides like Godova
into the Windy City

Unannounced
Packing pieces
of a puzzle

Thomas Crown
rolls his smile
around her frown

White White Black
Black Black White

Romance
with sharp teeth
bites ...

The 50 Move Rule
Checkmates
Pieces on a playing board

Life
Alligned?

“Are you following me?" she asks, but doesn't meet my gaze.
"Yeah," I say.
"Why?"
I give her the only honest and true answer I have.
"You're where I want to be.”
("Leaving Paradise")

"I grabbed my book and opened it up.
I wanted to smell it.
Heck, I wanted to kiss it.
Yes, kiss it.
That's right, I am a book kisser.
Maybe that's kind of perverted or maybe it's just romantic and highly intelligent.”

“Love, like everything else in life, should be a discovery, an adventure, and like most adventures, you don’t know you’re having one until you’re right in the middle of it.”

Premium Member Sinking Into a True Despair

Sinking into a True Despair

It’s like trying to shoot a monstrous ghost that you can’t ever see,
and, at the same time, this applies when one wants to kill a rumor,
and where everything is just like water running off a duck’s back,
and when you can’t see the source of it as it disappears over time.
Yet, if this leak becomes a true object of issue and a real concern,
then all the damage is irreparable and beyond any hope of saving.
It’s at this stage that we choose to cut our losses and to move on.
And, why not? Despair is always a part of the human experience.
Yet, where there is “despair” there can also be “hope,” if each of
us have the courage to summon it and to never take counsel of
our own fears. Hope can spring eternal, if the human will is stout
and courageous. Let us hope so and make it so!

What Makes Me Move On Is

Even if I am soaked with tears,
Even if I am burnt to ashes,
Even if I am hurt to the core,
I move on…
With a new hope…
For that for every winter there is a spring
For that for every tail there is a head
For that for every pause there is a play
So…move on…
With a new hope…

Move On

Shattered heart, quivering lips,
Anguish laden tears,
In sync with dragging feat.

Embedded footprints of echo and impressions,
On the drenched empathetic sand.

Sparkling rainbow sailing proudly on the waves,
Roared loudly," No sorrow can be forever grave."

Washed away every bemoan,
Sprinkling beautiful shells and stones.
Spreading a new lease of life to hone.

Move Me, Pull Me, Fill Me

Move me into the light
Pull me away from these ghosts
Fill me with something I can feel
Awaken every inch of me with your touch
It's like waking from a nightmare
Your hands keep me burning inside
Longing for more
Your mouth electrifies me
Needing you deeper and deeper
Pushing,pulling,screaming,awakening to something primal
Everything fades as you sink your teeth into my skin
Nothing left but desire
Move in me
Harder and harder
Until everything explodes
And all that is left is peace
In the fire that surrounds us
An escape to a place I can lose myself
If only for a moment that feels like eternity
Tasting you
Touching you
Feeling you as I come undone
Unhinged from this world
The deeper you go
The harder you move
The more you shake me to my core
A pls only you can find
I long to be your slave
