Premium Member Mischievous Minions--A Limerick Suite

The series "Despicable Me,"
we've flocked to theaters to see.
			Wee minions--cute creatures--
			and bad guys each features.
To all we respond with great glee.

I never dreamed five years ago
that I would soon dash to and fro
			in search of these minions--
			in children's opinions,
all treasures. How well I now know!

			Some kids possess minions galore:
the one-eyed, the two-eyed, and more.
			They giggle and jabber;
			"BANANA," some blabber.
Their odd appeal, who could ignore?

My grandson's like other young boys.
For Christmas he craved minion toys.
			His loved ones went shopping
			for hours, not stopping
till we found gifts he now enjoys.

			The minion-themed presents I gave
were puzzles, a cool talking Dave,
			a pillow with three guys
with one or two huge eyes.
For these he did hug me and rave.

` I'm glad to say just one thing more:
Fart Blaster, I left at the store!
			The child would have driven
			me nuts if I'd given
him that thing; but Dave, I adore.

Mischievous Spring

A mischievous season called Spring
Liked to tickle the tree tops an’ ting
And teach songs to the birds
Full of old fashioned words
Oh the rude songs Spring taught them to sing!

Spring liked to laugh, and to run
On the hill tops and wind up the sun
With a glint in her eye
And the hint of a thigh
And her hair down and buttons undone

Sometimes she’d knock off a joke
How the squirrels would squeak as she spoke
And oh how the ****
Loved the sniggery bits
Of the ones for the feistier folk!

Spring liked the tease and the chase
Oh the flirtatious look on her face!
Catch me! She’d say
Always getting away
Well, not always. A time, and a place

A word, Winter said, in your ear
You’re crossing a line here, I fear
Enough of the bants
And the flashing of pants
It’s most unbecoming, my dear

Winter, said Spring, you’re as old
And as wet and as grey and as cold
As a sheep in the mud
While I’ve fire in my blood
I shall not do a thing that I’m told!

And off she went, flicking the Vs
I am Spring, and I’ll do what I please!
Off to dance in the ring
With no knickers an’ ting
And to tickle the leaves in the trees

Mischievous Moon

The moon was in a mischievous mood
This morning before the twilight
Peeking through clouds it had tried to elude
In order to flaunt its golden light.

Full and round it followed me
Up and down the valley hills
Emerging from shadows tauntingly
Knowing how its beauty thrills.

Nestling in a poinciana tree
It appeared to do a dance
Among twisted limbs that seemed to be
Arms of the goddess known to entrance.

And did I detect a soft giggling sound
That came floating to my ear?
Such strange things are said to abound
When the full moon is near.

When time came for my walk to end
I was reluctant to depart
The company of my endearing friend
Who'd graced my day with a delightful start.

Trinkets

These i spy with my little eye
tossed aside, two black-and-white die
silver glinting of a spoon
little green soldiers in a platoon
things you forget around the house
things i pick up, quiet as a mouse
a pencil here, a postcard there
pins and buttons to fill my lair
and ever so softly during the night
when the owl hoots and the moon is bright
when the house is still, there’s not a peep
and you’re counting little sheep
i pick these up, you’re unaware
but look under if you dare
what was lost will come to you
i’ll give them back, they’re overdue
but what a funny thing to know!
a few lost pins won’t stop the show
the only conclusion is that humans
love these small things, it’s proven
how strange! how odd!
what seem like trinkets to us gods –
may be one’s greatest treasure

Mischievous Cats

Bella and Shadow nestled in their woven beds on the cat tree.

Bella stretches out her legs and purrs.

"Psst, Psst. Hey, Shadow, are you up for some fun?"

"Sure!” Shadow purred, "What do you have in mind?"

"Let's go tease Peeddie.

Let's see how far he can stretch from his leash.
He is always eager to see us come near;
a stretch from his leash, whip lash for him."

Together, bolting for the stairs, they waited, looking around.
Out the pet door they hurried, down the porch steps and started across the yard.

Shadow caught up with Bella.
They crept ahead with a mission, staying low, using the bushes for cover.

Peeddie lies basking in the sun sleepy against a stake driven firmly into the ground, instead of his pillow inside his home.

Bella and Shadow creep forward through the mulch beneath the bushes,
a twig snapped off to one side.

Bella stared at Shadow and whispered,
"Hush! We don't want to warn Peeddie we're close."

Peedie, arose when he heard the snap, saw the two cats,
with precision, unleash his position.

"Uh-Oh!" Bella hissed and spat.

"W-h-a-t? Oh my gosh! ", Shadow said.
Somersaulted back home; for it had rain the night before and the ground became so soft, Peeddie had pulled out the stake.

Bella and Shadow bolted across the yard back through the pet door up the stairs.

They found out it was better to sleep like a mouse and let sleeping dogs lie.

Moral of the story,

Leave something alone if it might cause trouble.

My Mischievous Friend

Oh my friend
Small cute and lovely,
A heavenly sign,
 a miraculous beauty.

A touch , a touch,
Of a pretty cutie,
Expressions tasty,
Like sweetest frooty.

Fighting on and on
& on & on & on,
Yet waiting for me,
When everyone is gone.

Laughing and laughing
Sitting in my lawn
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha,
“dusk to dawn”.

You are the truth,
The lie and the lie,
Transforming into dancing angels,
In the utmost sky.

One step ahead
Giving one bye,
Smiling “Hello”
& a mischievous bye.

Right to left
And again left to right,
Every second tickles
With a brand new fight.

I won you lost,
Weighing light,
Continuing forever,
Days after nights.

Emotion flows,
& glows & blows,
Flickering moods,
From highs to lows.

Lost in the speed,
My gear slows,
Trin trin trin ,
1000 horns blows.

A mischief dancing,
To and fro and fro and to,
Hold hold hold,
From head to toe.

Cluch my hand
 in woe woe woe,
stop stop stop my friend,
 the way is “No Go”

Mischievous and Carefree

I love you, teddy bear.

Mischievous and carefree
By Michelle Morris
05/03/2023

There are these pictures in my mind
Of when you were a little kid
Elation and giggles and joy
In your eyes and your smile so big

Mischievous and carefree
Exploring the world at large
You were fearless and creative
And always wanted to be in charge

From the beach to the mountains
From the ocean to the pool
We visited different places
And tried different food

We had the most amazing adventures
We created memories in our hearts and souls
I will always remember your childhood
And the experience of blessings unfolding

You know that I'll love you forever
You know that you're in my heart and soul
But don't forget that you'll always be my baby
And nothing can ever change your role

The Mischievous Mannequin

In the lingerie dept. stiff as a board,
a man came up and ogled and explored,
struck another pose,
right in the nose,
man passing flat out on the floor.

A Sly Skunk’s Non’scents’

If you remember correctly, one night, I came upon Steve.
‘Twas a normal day that led to such a befuddling eve.
For, Steve is a skunk who decided to bunk and not leave.
I’ve learned just how quickly this sly little guy can deceive.
You won’t believe what he’s done in my house in the span of a day!

Departure day, hopeful, I woke up, a man almost free.
As I knew Steve the skunk would be taken to Pet Love Friendly.
But as the time soon approached, Steve was gone. Where could he be?
When suddenly, odors erupted like sewers and coffee
I dashed to the kitchen where my Keurig held Steve stuck like prey!

As I tugged on that skunk, my frustration grew into full ire.
When Steve finally popped, flying fur fled like his tail was on fire!
Before I could stop him, Steve started to chew on some wire.
Steve was a black and white firework; I was a crier!
Then suddenly, all electricity slipped away.

Steve let go of the wire and landed in a soft heap.
I rushed to his side just to check for a pulse, a life keep.
His eyes closed, my heart sank, for I liked Steve, not really deep.
As I reached out, Steve jumped up and screamed, “I WAS ONLY ASLEEP!”
Defeated and knackered, I knelt down beside Steve to pray…

Sitting patiently in the hall
waiting to be alone
circling the doorway
seeing the white ball
asking to be unrolled!
I think I'll make a mess today
and ignore all I've been told
Silly humans! Without it
their litterbox floor is cold!

Though scattered, focus on short tasks.
Pro-actively, with respect, and QUIET way.
If you're depressed, these are your circumstances.
There is nothing to gaze to if you exhausted the try.

Foray to unwind or do something pleasing for love.
After a calamity, the promise of reward vanish.
Shove a less irritable person to obtain a reprieve.
Will would enhance humanity if we were not clannish.

Rather than fretting, attempt to CALM down.
When one is TRANQUIL, he accepts equanimity.
It would assist if you highlighted your frown.
Intending of enjoying love, allow no anonymity.

Toughness is crucial for being relentless.
I'll repeat it spread your seeds of hope.
Humans spirit is shown in their PEACEFUL confession.
Soon, dreams of passion will inspire the elope.

It can be joyous or stressful, based on your trends.
When the only option is immediate, decisive action
It may stem from a need or be the result of intends
When a storm is raging, a regal deal of interaction

Arouse your mind to still not to embalm
All evolves with time, including oneself
Your skills assist you in ensuring your calm
Despite the environment, balance yourself

It feels delicious to remove things off your chest
According to one's criteria of estimation.
let them bear the burden and relish the benefit
Indeed, each individual nails the same evaluation

Many people who survived an incident whisper
When you're idle, your thoughts seem inactive
Possibilities for conflict render you relatively weaker
At first glance, it appears to be an admirable captive.

You are aware of SERENE and stop embracing her.
Do you STILL seem sore, or are you faking stress?
I hope you satisfied her and dabbed away her tear.
His ethical dilemma makes a different excess.

A Mischievous Night

Gunpowder
         treason and plot
            Guy Fawkes
           was arrested
   while guarding barrels
             containing
                 highly
              explosives
                   ready
                to destroy
               Parliament
      Now he's remembered
      each fifth of November
                       as
       our bonfire nights Guy.

sun drench in white lace
for a moment a daze face
zephyr promenade

the wind decided to play on its way
found its voice releasing its hold to say
whished a while round the ground there
disturbing the old mole's lair
old mole scowl round and round kicking the clay

a friendly tailwind and a deep breath out, the ground was a blur throughout
