Best Love You Poems

Premium Member A Cathartic Weave of Three

listen,
the whispers
of leaves
turn colour
autumn is here.

now that you are gone
who will wake every morn
to lift the sun
unveil the sky
etch in the clouds
who will paint the rainbow?

i had a dream and in the dream i wove you a poem
i used the fiber of my character to create spools of silken thread
dipped in the juices of my passion i dyed them in the colors of my imagination
re-enforced each and every single strand with the strength of my love

touch,
the echoes
of the rain
- waters
- blossoms spring.

now that 'us' is just a word
no longer with you as one
i alone wind up metal toys
cut out paper dolls
the beach swept from under my feet
the child in me flees.

spun spools from the intricacy of my spirit
designed a pattern
to the rhythm
of the music
of my inner thoughts

enamoured in your vision
crystal beads gather on my brow
as i toil your finely bred gift
as i braid every part of me
with every memory
into every sliver of fabric

taste,
uncut
snow shapes
crisp cold
ices the wintertide.

instead now rusted
a fools gold chain of loneliness
hangs around my neck like a noose
mourns a union that once had breath
a twosome that now is dead.

see,
the sand sculptures
paint
rekindle
a childhood summer
past.

sew in the loving glow emits my flawless dreams
with my boiling blood initial my woven piece

my work at an end i awake
you lay there a wingless angel asleep
smiling as if you heard a bell ring
your boundless warmth embraces me

the moon no longer smiles
the stars no longer wink

smell,
seasonal airs
stimulates senses
memories they deliver.

without a touch
barely - i kiss you.

in this
my decade of one
hope is a wickless candle
the night just day without light

in the glee,
hopes and dreams,
in the human spirit,
lives the miracle of life.
magnificent
voices in every pitch
deep and resounding,
the melody of echoes and whispers – uncut.

Premium Member Ice Cream

''Like Ice Cream''

Having ice cream with you,
Brightens the entire portrait in my youth.
Like catnip for a cat
-- the Reese's fun never stops!
Like monkeys in a zoo, above a tasty sherbet treetop.

Ice Cream with you!
How sweet, the imagery of 31 different treats
Cold butter and salty Placid water, with the works
Amaretto peaches, and slushy sauce --- twerk
Dandelion haven- above a marshmallow rocky road
Fireflies flicker around the fresh Lemon Drop Sky
A delightful sundae breeze on the crest of my tongue
Soft frozen chocolate dessert, nothing can go amiss

Ice Cream with You!
So many to choose from,
Savor the delicious flavor
---of Butterscotch homemade rum

There's no other place I'd rather be
Lost Inside this forever hazel mint joy scenery
The ultimate indulgence in one icy bite
A cream coconut cherry delight
-served on the side with apple pie
In a cup, on a cone, my vanilla waffle boy
Everything-- about-- you-- roams free
like tubs of ice cream dreams

Listen to the sound of soft sprinkles cinnamon
The happy feeling that melts when you're around
I'm packing a giant scoop of Ice Cream from your heart

Adoring and Embracing Life
Every time you say the words
...I love you...

Premium Member Periwinkle Promises

Close your eyes
inhale roses-
love-glazed steam
of insatiable thirst;
place your thoughts
upon my heart,
feel my
voice s w i r l i n g
in sync with
periwinkle promises
whilst devouring
unfurled petals
facing ebony skies,
tenderly sketching
silhouettes with
vanilla drops;
for you and I,
we are interwoven
souls through
cosmic t r a n c e…
               forevermore.
Tonight when dusk
transcends the
darkest twilight,
I’ll allow these
thoughts to
d r i f t into a magical
meadow where
butterflies b o u n c e
from wavy blades,
reflecting our love
    in unspoken shades.

I’ll wait for you,
to relearn what
it means to be
the flesh and
bone of summer…
as this longing
    c a s c a d e s
    in
sherbet hued
   cherry blossoms.

And if
  the moon
    refuses
           to rise,
I’ll sketch your
pearlescent smile
across g r e y i n g
spheres, like the
first
   glimpse
of
morning crescent;
unveiling verses-
s p i r a l i n g as mystical
milky-ways within…
emanating candy
     coated cologne..

So find me
    between
    flickering afterglows,
l i s t e n to the
   whispering willows,
seek shelter beneath
autumnal rainbows,
amidst m o v i n g seasons,
for two hearts
that beat the same,
would always find
their rhythm amidst
many seas
ruffling with ripples
of aching dreams,
between them~
although virtual
hugs are all we have
to keep our
    f r e e z i n g
souls of summer
   warm and in sync.

Premium Member Kaleidoscope Eyes

Round and round I go
Unfolding my spirit of envy and gold
The nascence of a new stone
Hazel room, vibrant lilac sky,
Deep orange haze in a tender place
Arms of sapphire and cornflower blue
Fuchsia beauty drips, covering my ruby lips

All colors drift
On the first day, we met
Visions of dark slate-gray fade away
Firing up the new-age gem
Turning and creating different stars
Magic mint skies
White antique petals follow the current of air
Opal dreams, clouds embedded with impurity
My heartbeat produces flashing colors
The palest amethyst bluebonnet forever fields
Flawless tear-drop streams
Diamond shaped love
Ruby Red promises to keep
Flowing into the deep
Every color spins new
The day I fell in love with you
Peridot lime green tint
A love as old and gray
Olive brownish sun
Honeydew skin
Our future, deeper than aquamarine
Every day you turn fresh new seasons in me
Changing the sequence in my colors and effect

Kaleidoscope Eyes
Reflect by the mirrors of you
Crystallizing everything

Premium Member A Tear-Ful Conversation With My Daughter

It starts with only one -
one like me
a melancholy migrant
from the immortal part of her
to the locus of her physical being --
the center of her emotional wisdom

I gain heartfelt strength as I gather my forces
rising up en masse
riding cresting waves of woe
to breach the ramparts -
the welling rims
of her loving eyes

it starts with only one -
one perfectly ripened drop of sorrow
this beautifully packaged pain

and a lustrous cascade of soulful pearls ensues
wept gems pouring forth from a pure heart..

I am the tears your mother cries.

Poet's note; For my beautiful daughter, Jocelyn, you inspire me with your light, joy, spirited determination and intellect. Though your academic pursuits take you many, many miles away from me and I grieve your absence, when you return home I shall celebrate with tears of joy!
For today, however, I'll let my grieving tears speak for themselves...
I love you and I miss you, my Jocee <3

Premium Member A Peaceful I Love You

An early outing for my friend and I
We walked the winding path down to the springs
The uncut winter hay is now waist high
And in the morning breeze it softly sings

Red Indian paintbrushes are in bloom
As are the downy phlox and dogwood trees
How sweet the smell of birth in nature's womb
Attracting butterflies and honey bees

The passerine song birds are in full throat
While woodpeckers and sap suckers keep time
Mid air, white cotton hayseeds gently float
So gracefully they dance their pantomime

And in that moment, in the tarnished hay
The gurgling springs still hidden from my view
With nature's springtime beauty on display
I heard her say a peaceful. "I love you"

if you wanted to dance with me
i mean really wanted to dance with me
then i would
i would dance with you

if you needed me to walk on water
i would stand there until the lake froze
then i would
i would walk on water for you

if you suggested i climb
a mountain
warm at the bottom
freezing at the peak
i'd buy you a snow globe
turn it upside down and up
hold your hand warm
watch the freezing snowfall
climb your suggestion creatively

if you mentioned
you'd like me to paint your portrait
i'd buy every different colour of acrylic paint I could find
blend them on a canvas
paint your colourful internal portrait
every crayon in the box
that's who i see

if you said move me
i wouldn't hire a truck
or even touch one stick of furniture
i would write this poem for you
put a bow on it
fingers crossed
i would move you

your lips are always on my mind

if you want a man
willing to do...
...a man...
...hold you gentle but firm

i'm here

ring in hand
on one knee

Premium Member To Love You Upon My Last Breath

When the last rain drop has fallen
and final word has been spoken.
When mercy is no longer our saviour,
remember, each time your heart beats,
with every sigh on the tip of your tongue,
my only wish was to forever love you,
stronger than the light that shone at sunrise,
warmer than the rays from that golden orb,
more powerful than the radiance of the moon
and with greater devotion than the stars.

Premium Member When I No Longer Love You

When dawn's blush of light eclipses the moon
And afternoons find meadows sprinkled with dew
When I view willows smiling instead of weeping
And the keeping of promises is no longer a prize
When artist's eyes see only hues of sepia and gray
And the Milky Way abandons its billions of stars

That is when I will say, "I no longer love you"
And my heart will perish in saddest adieu
                            ***

When my pen is lost, and my ink well runs dry
And the sky fills with clouds of yellow daffodils
When chills from the sun freezes over the seas
And bees create pollen and flowers make honey
When agony and love have been clearly defined
And my mind does not hold you in each thought

That is when my heart will no longer love you
And life will have no meaning in a world askew
                           ***

When songbirds stop singing in harmonic trills
And heathered hills have lost their sweet scent
When fermented grapes become a bitter wine
And the shine in my eyes dulls when I see you
When a view of sunset does not leave me awed
And God turns his face from a repentant sinner

That is when I will say I don't love you any more
And oceans waves of blue will no longer rush ashore
                          ***

Premium Member Lilac Feathered Goodbye

I hope you would still remember me as we were,

every time you see pristine

passing pomegranate hues of the horizon.

When clouds smear our unspoken love

in inexplicable figurines,

of those simple moments we

reignited beneath our own twilight,

reliving our dreams in

remaining rosy dialects of romantic recollections,

as I have a confession to make

beneath this cluttering of chaos.

I wasn’t ready to let you nor our late night conversations go,

After all these years, all my heart ever desires,

is for you to see the broken empire

behind these weary eyes.

I have long been a gift of solitude and sorrow,

But as I’ve let you go, my hopes swayed a lilac

feathered goodbye,

Although you’ll never know how a simple hey,

once upon a time, saved my life,

and embellished my universe with pearlescent

moonstones and amethysts.

Yet I still question you, in rustic rhymes you can’t comprehend,

Have you forgotten how to pronounce my name?

is it because your heart doesn’t feel the same?

Have your desires now become tame?

As you walk away, why am I the one to take the blame?

Is our love now lost in history?

Is that why you’ve left me in so much mystery?

In your absence the mind battles against violence.

All is mute in a void of meaningless silence.

Did you forget to love me today?

Is this the price I have to pay?

Just for you to say that you’ll love me

again in the same way, someday.

*GRANDMA WAITS IN THE GARDEN*

Hi grandpa, it's me again!
Your dentures sit in an open glass above the nightstand
Remember the tears grandma sang before she pass?
The way she looked into your eyes,
Moments before she said goodbye
Grandpa, I found a note from grandma,
She will always wait for you.

Hi grandpa, it’s me again!
The rocking chair is old and dusty
Remember the way grandma sat me on her lap?
Read many stories before I took a nap
How she enjoyed stroking my hair with her hands
I miss the way she rocked me to sleep every night

Hello, grandpa!
I stored your hearing aid away
Remember that special musical box in grandma's drawer?
I opened it last night, to watch the ballerina soar
I wish you could hear the tiny chimes grandma loved
I hope you don’t mind, I’m keeping grandma's favorite scarf

Hello, Grandpa!
I'm caressing grandma’s picture frame
Remember the way she looked in the yellow pretty sundress?
Grandpa, I miss the things grandmother did for you
Like the walking cane she handcrafted before she left

Hello, grandpa, it's me again!
My tears have soften now,
knowing you will soon see her again
Take your place with her in the sky
Please, say hi and give her a kiss
Tell her I miss her so much
I love you grandpa

Premium Member My Heart Skips a Beat My Love

My heart skips a beat my love each and every time
I’m with you my dearest sweet and lovely Darling
Since the passions and feelings you stir in me
Touch the very depth of my inner being and soul
And render themselves not to mere words only
Suitable for depiction, exhibition, understanding
Rather to the image and strength of your beauty
And your rapturous desire and feeling as they
Defy rational attempts at any simple description
For you are the most radiant beyond all compare

My heart skips a beat my love when we lie together
Locked in a most enchanting embrace and kissing
So deeply, palpably that we run out of breath and pant
Anxiously at what comes next in our mutual longing
And crescendo as our passions explode and express
Themselves in a most hungry trail of urges and desires
Which makes finding love for us all the more magical
Pairing us together like a couple of star-struck kids
Lost impossibly in moments of hope and imagination
In a timeless world of love, desire, emotion, and oneness

My heart skips a beat my love when we walk so closely
Hand-in-hand talking, laughing, and living our dreams
Confronting the world and taking on whatever comes
Next as we steer our ship of destiny on a true course
Where our like-thoughts and deep love for each other
Mean something quite special that only Dreamers and
Poets can imagine and set to melody and harmony in perfect
Verses of sheer passion and delight painted onto a canvas
Of unending happiness where Heaven and Earth are one
My heart skips a beat my love when we’re forever one

Betweenthe Lines

Between the lines I walk a million miles

You hold me in your arms a hundred thousand times

Between the lines I wonder about your dark and serene nights

Are you all alone,Is there someone on the phone

Is there someone by your side

Rubbing off the colours of my little smile

Between the lines, you're on my mind

I will spend a lifetime searching for your eyes

Searching just for you,Oh darling if you'd knew

Would your lips make love to me the way they used to do

Will you come between the lines or leave me feeling blue

Between the lines there's a paradise,Between the lines I write

So many words unsaid, many moments gone, and wishes still unheard

Between the lines ,between the lines I write you'll once again arise

Blazing in my heart like a candlelight

You still live inside of me,you re-appear suddenly

You keep getting closer ,so unexpectedly

Between the lines, yes you are still there ,and I am still here

We were meant to be,never to be set free

Between the lines,,between the lines I write

~ Painting Mona Lisa ~

Absolutely enchanting I thought ~
As I drew the curtains wider, to allow in a bit more light....
Returning unto the canvas and dipping my brush
Into a slightly brighter shade of beige
Thinking perhaps just a touch more violet, a dab of red, and, a stroke of amber
Until, I heard the door bell ring, breaking, this mesmerized trance....
Sitting my palette down, and lying my brush aside, atop a colored cloth
I turned to see who it was, that was there?
"Hold on dear, I shall be right back," I whispered
As she smiled amid a radiance, that stopped me within my steps
How rarely seldom does one get a chance like this I thought?
If it is truly important and I know them
Then they shall kindly call, or possibly even leave myself a note
Besides, what an unpleasant reflection it would be, to even but for an instant
Interrupt this dream....
For no greater beauty have I ever beheld, nor have I ever found, then this
Perfection within everyway I believe, is whom she is ~
"What's wrong," she asked, "are you not going to see who it is?"
Glistening eyes, as I fixated upon her own, mirrors, of an endless hue
"No, not right now dear," as I then, poured her a drink
Smiling as she gracefully arose, proposing a toast I said
"To this moment, this day, to you and I, this time, and, amore"....
As I slowly reached forth my hand, to tenderly caress her rosen cheek
And to glide my fingers gently, through her shining auburn hair
"Here dear," leading her loveliness softly, "here, sit right there
That the sunlight may embrace your boundless beauty
This magnificence of your splendor, these wonders, from whom you truly are" ~
Glowingly she smiled once more, as with a passion, I then kissed her perfect lips
"I love you," she uttered
While as the mornings dew lit rays, reflected upon her enchantedness
As a glittering arose about my own heart, and a warming, within my now raptured soul
"So do I my love, I love you more," I returned
Retrieving my brush, my palette and my cloth
Exchanging glances amid knowing thoughts, these souls, so intertwined ~
"Excellent, do not move dear"
As always was captured forever, within, this moment right here....
