Hoping that it might be you
Verse 1
I've got some troubles in my life...
I'll help with yours, will you, help with mine?
"Cause I need love like everyone...
Will you be here when the day is done?
(day is done)
Verse 2
Seems, like the whole worlds in a mess...
each day gets harder, I confess...
I need someone, to help me through...
I was hoping, that it might be you!
(might be you)
Bridge 1
Try to be.... the person that I need
I'll try to be...the person that you need
Verse 3
There, are some things, I just don't like...
when, somethings wrong, but they say it's right...
So... would you share my point of view?
Or... would it, just be...too much for you?
(too much for you)
Verse 4
I've lived, a full life, made for one...
I've seen a lot, and, I've had my fun...
but now, I'm ready for, a life for two
I hope you feel...the way I do!
(the way I do)
Bridge 1
Try to be.... the person that I need
I'll try to be...the person that you need
Bridge 2
Will you be here when the day is done?
Will you share with me the setting sun?
Will you be here when the day is done?
Will you share with me the setting sun?
Verse 5
What would you do, when I'm old and grey?
Would you leave me here, or would you stay?
I'll need someone to help me through...
I was hoping that, it might be you
(might be you)
Bridge 1
Try to be.... the person that I need
I'll try to be...the person that you need
Finale
I'll need someone to help me through...
I was hoping that it might be you
Yeah, I'll need someone to help me through...
I was, hoping that it might be you
(hoping that it might be you)
(hoping that it might be you)
(hoping that it might be you)

Come into my house,
Sit anywhere you like.
No, not at my table,
No, not on my chair.
Come into my house,
Sit anywhere.
I invited you,
I opened up my home.
Oh, I changed my mind,
It is a vaulted tome.
Sit anywhere.
Come into my house,
You really are not welcome.
You are a phantom guest,
And a sadly, unwanted pest,
Yet still...
Sit anywhere.
It is a perfect place,
You should have been more proud,
Just to be invited,
And permitted, in the crowd.
Sit anywhere.
With rules and hidden spaces.
And a common thought out plan,
You do not fit, so do not sit,
“Sit anywhere”.
As a child, I stared at her
She was my world
And she was beautiful
Inside and out
She smiled like the stars
Shimmering and sparkling
Radiating kindness
Her spirit was like love
Blending warmth and hope
Hues of inspiration
Tangled with excitement
Her eyes were bright green
Laughing like the wind
Welcoming my heartbeat
To pound for her, breathing
In the wonder of this joy
A mother’s love in colors
Vibrant as life, enlightened
By shadows of beautiful dreams
Faith, hope, love – joy and peace
Her blend, a melody from His hand
Poured out, raining down, affection
Like a child, I come to You
Trusting with my heart
Your love and compassion
You knew me from the start
~
Like a child, I whisper to You
Prayers from my spirit
Sent to your heavenly throne
And I know you’ll listen
~
Like a child, I wait for You
To guide me through
When I’m lost and alone
You answer me anew
~
Like a child, I compare You
With my parents here on earth
But they cannot equal You
Despite knowing me at birth
~
Like a child, I confide in You
My secret yearnings and dreams
Always aware of Your gifts
Always loving and joyful it seems
~
Like a child, I plan with You
For great moments in the future
Even though they’re here now
Those days that are quite sooner
~
Like a child, I long for You
The Master of all my life
To be as close as possible
Much dearer than a wife
~
Like a child, I know that You
Will stay with me throughout
Giving me a friend so true
That I’m feeling totally devout
~
Like a child, I hope that You
Will never leave my side
And you promised me to stay
With you I can always abide
~
Like a child, I love You
More than I can say
With love that is alive
And love that will not sway
Another Day
In the morning when I wake,
I am thankful I can see.
I am grateful.
I take a survey and find,
that I hurt in many places,
some way more than others.
Age... is a hard thing to understand.
There are too many issues,
to convey and no time left to do so.
Yeah, there may be a year...
or two or ten.
But getting older has been,
an experience.
Sometimes you have to do a thing,
to truly know how it feelzzzzz...
I sit up slowly not fast,
as I get dizzy.
Not from the normal flow of blood,
but the medications that I take.
It is just part of "getting older"...
But, I don't want to believe,
that part to be...
true.
"I remember when's" come up all the time.
"I wish that the I had's", were less often.
That would always be a good thing.
If I were to tell any young person today,
about tomorrow or even yesterday,
I would tell them loudly,
strongly and with all that I had to offer,
live and never stop living.
Regret is an evil sister,
you never want to live in the house
you will always intend to call home.
Do not be a toad.
Laugh.

Heavenly Father, I love you
Love silences fear,
Uniting hope, joy, peace,
Mingling lights, grace
Joining hearts in faith, together,
Stirring prayers, gentle psalms –
Harmonized when souls believe,
Jesus, inspiration for giving,
Meaningful beyond imagery.
Adoration lasting forever,
Resembling souls understanding…
Love like this convulses calm,
Lulling twilight,
Breathing shadows,
Feelings erasing storms,
Darkness hinders meaningful,
While wonders grow wings…
Enchant souls,
Souls enchant,
Wings grow wonders while…
Meaningful hinders darkness,
Storms erasing feelings,
Shadows breathing,
Twilight lulling,
Calm convulses this like love,
Understanding souls, resembling…
Forever, lasting adoration,
Imagery beyond meaningful,
Giving for inspiration, Jesus,
Believe souls when harmonized,
Psalms gentle, prayers stirring –
Together, faith in hearts joining,
Grace, lights mingling,
Peace, joy, hope uniting,
Fear silences love.
You hung the moon
Accompanied by the night
You hung the sun
Accompanied by the light
You hung the clouds
Images of angels bright
What did I ever do to deserve
The mercy, grace and forgiveness
You’ve placed into my life, freeing me
Forgiving me and saving me from death
And the grave – the devil’s deadly wrath
What did I ever do to deserve
A love so true to me, a love so gentle
A love that would always leave me
With assurance of heaven’s embrace
You breathed life into man
A sweet joy that is alive
You gave us all your plan
Making us give our drive
You taught us the ways we can
Make it through fears and revive
What did I do to deserve
Your unending peace and love
You’ve brought me through the worst
And taught me to always look up
To the place where you send me dreams
From the sweetness of angel’s wings
You’ve sent me a second chance
To be filled with love and compassion
A sense of truth that is alive
With the faith that only You provide
You remind me why
I feel so free and alive
You fill my entire life
With joy and hope that thrive
You accept me as I am
With forgiveness where I strive
If I was a boy, not yet a young man
I’d push some paper into your han’.
Lined and folded it would be,
moving words for you to see.
With thumb and fingers you’d hold it tight,
then angle and raise it to the light.
Clouded words, with love as one
All pushed out by a shining sun.
Was it ever meant to be?
Still they wander within me.
That note, those words, they wander in me.
Still they wander, still in me.
Then I was older, yesterday’s young man
and distanced from your remembered han’
Should wooden doors with bronze mail slots
Have been the place to place my thoughts?
Those unwritten words lived in my head,
Never sent and never said.
Politely they sat for so many a day,
nothing to alter their quiet stay
Was it ever meant to be?
Still they wander within me.
That note, those words, they wander in me
Still they wander, still in me
Now older still, tomorrow’s dead man
Rather than paper I’ll move my han’
To you it goes, open and worn
May yours mend my heart that’s torn
Was it ever meant to be?
Still they wander within me.
That note, those words, they wander in me
Still they wander, still in me.
I'll never know if it was meant to be
She left this life ahead of me
I still hold tight that imagined note
The one with words I never wrote

In the jungle where animals roam free
From atop the highest tree
A seed falls to the ground
In the earth, its' roots of life are found
The mighty oak was once a seed
An acorn with the instructions it needs
To become what it was meant to be
From the jungle floor it rises to become a sturdy tree
The seeds of hope reside within our being
In winter, there is the hope of spring
When there's drought, there is the hope of rain
When all seems lost, hope still remains
In this vast universe love is king
It's the reason for sunshine and rain
The reason why we're here is plain
The seeds of love dwell within all things
I’ve been hard and I’ve been soft
My heart has known love
And my heart has known disgust
I’ve been strong and I’ve been weak
My heart has known hope
And my heart has known despair
I’ve been warm and I’ve been cold
My heart has known passion
And my heart has known apathy
From the center of my heart
Where only God can see or know
There lives a woman who loves
Beyond her yearning dreams, completely
I’ve been happy and I’ve been sad
My heart has known pleasure
And my heart has known sorrow
I’ve been spontaneous and I’ve been withdrawn
My heart has known freedom
And my heart has known inhibition
I’ve been thankful and I’ve been ungrateful
My heart has known appreciation
And my heart has known ingratitude
From the depths of my heart
There love lives and opens the door
To faith that fills my life with inspiration
For feelings that create true satisfaction
I’ve been confident and I’ve been insecure
My heart has known positive assurance
And my heart has known apprehension
I’ve been a silent light and I’ve been noisy
My heart has known soundless joy
And my heart has known thunderous grief
I’ve been concerned and I’ve been untroubled
My heart has known reflective worry
And my heart has known how to be carefree
From the depths of my heart
There love arouses my hope to know
Kindness that prays and praises the One
Who makes my heart full beyond thought
From the depths of my heart
Where kindness awakens my best
Thrilling tones and hues of warmth
Awaken my affection of Deity, God
The ruler of my life, the One who knows
The depths of my heart and soul
And who gives me the opportunity to listen
To the whisper of His breath in my love
From my heart… I know hope
From my heart… I know faith
From my heart… I know grace
From my heart… I know love
From my heart… I know Him
The One who answers from above
With the strongest and sweetest agape Love!

Crisp, fresh air breathes a caress over my frame
Filling me with inspiration for the season aflame
With vibrant and bold hues of crimson and gold
Musical whispers, both brilliant and uncontrolled
Dancing, vibrating with life, the leaves come down
Soundless and gentle as a soft kiss silencing a frown
Echoes of serenity trembling across the forest floor
Leaves twirling joyfully with a yearning to explore
Miracles radiate from the soothing touch of the sun
Amid naked limbs where leaves wouldn’t be outdone
Breaking away from the sighs of softly falling leaves
The caress of moonbeams trail a prayer that believes
Rich, warming shades from God’s stunning paint brush
Hesitate to reveal the compassion that ignites a blush
Joy follows the ripples of autumn’s haunting heartbeat
Praising the thought of One who does forever complete
Shimmering summer sun falls silently beneath the fall
Who has come to enlighten spirits before the snowfall
His decorative touch has given the land a second chance
To be filled with enthusiasm and mystery at first glance
Giving thanks for all He has provided; hope, faith and love
Gifts and treasures shining on us, sent from heaven above

As a child I would sit and cry.
Pray to God for a way out at night.
Along came a boy who changed my world.
I knew from the start you were the one.
Everyone said it was not love
We were too young to know of that.
I was 16 and you were 18,
we were just children running wild and free.
Spending every minute together,
Felt Like I was living in a love song.
With every beat of my heart our love grew strong.
We became one on that faithful September day
I took your hand and knew everything would be ok.
You were my rock and I loved you so much.
Nothing would have torn us apart.
Years have passed by and times have changed.
I went my way and you stayed the same.
Feels like we are living in two different worlds.
Never did I see this coming down the road.
Always thought we would love forever
When will our hearts collide again?
When will we feel like more than friends?
I hope this isn’t the start to the end.
I hope we can find the love we once had
When that boy came along and changed my life
Sweeping me off my feet on that warm summers night.
We cuddled under the stars so bright.
Holding tight hoping for the night to never end
As we became more than just friends.
A Life Worth Living
If life is to dwell on the past,
then you would have eyes on the back of your head.
This is why there's a crick in your neck instead.
The past is meant for learning.
If life is to focus only on the present,
then you would have no feet for your shoes.
This is why you learned to walk and run the risk of getting a bruise.
The present is meant for appreciating.
If life is to only dream of and plan for the future,
then you would only live in your brain and have no need for a home.
This is why you hide under a rock and are so alone.
The future is for hoping.
If learning, appreciating, hoping is the life you live,
then a fulfilled life you will have indeed.
This is why faith, hope and love is all you need.
Life is made for living.

Pour your self-love
In your heart
And decorate it
With the flowers of hope
Then you will see
It will be charmingly
Kicking and ticking
Oh! My friend
Consider this as
A magic spell
